My first purchase I brought was great and I paid it off. My second purchase has been nightmare. Ist I order my purchase suppose to get a week later on Friday between 4-7pm 7 came around no purchase We call didn't know what we were talking about and than found half of our stuff is at one store and other half with them They came and just gave me was my couch, we asked where is the rest and they said thats it on no my husband called in the morning and told them we have two end tables, coffee table and laps they said it got cancelled because the Dallas company thought it was for the floor not for a customer thats what they said and thats after they told they would call back and they never end up calling so we showed up at the store all they had to do is tell us the truth but they gave us a run around we got stuff and just today we paid our bill and it was way too high they end up making two contracts on us when the package was 119.00 for every thing. So I had to call and my husband call for them to fix that problem and than we saw on our receipt that it shows 22 1/2 months left we asked about the half and they told us because we only paid half when we brought our purchase. I was like we don't owe it because we got a credit because we paid something off and the person we were talking to us said you know what I'm not going to fight with you I'll just take it off. In one month we have had just problems with them, not sure what is there deal but I'm just fell like giving there stuff back and ill go some where else. How dare they treat someone that has brought things before and paid it off on time

NOT a Costumer but I get harassing calls, harassing and threats by person to person and I don't even have an account with them. My boyfriend used to live with me and he had the computer and they come every month, they call me everyday giving me his information and this SAT was the worse incident: Aarons has harass, threaten and yelled at me and given me information my ExÕs account. At the beginning my ex boyfriend used to live with me and he moved out and AaronsÕ have been calling and leaving messages about him owing money. They would send every month a new person to my home to collect and told me to give them the computer, where is D" and every time I advised them he does not live here. I had to call to the store to tell them to remove my number from the computer and to stop calling me. On Jan 31,2011 at 5pm Kyle from AaronÕs came and kept knocking and would not stop. I answered the door , I stayed inside the door and saw his shirt saying aaronÕs standing at my porch and advised him I have told your company he does not live here to stop harassing me. I closed the door and he started pounding the door so loud and started yelling that my neighbors noticed. For the second time I answered the door told him to stop to leave me alone and he was yelling saying I know he is here I see the hummer , I told him my name and said that is my car not his and he was not listing to me, because he was yelling at me and coming closer to me so, quickly I closed the door again. He started yelling and pounding the door again for several minutes. He would not stop so for the 3rd time, I was feeling ill, I answered the door told him IÕm not going to tell him again. I said leave me alone, stop your harassment and stop pounding my door. He started coming towards me so I closed the door while I was hiding behind it. The fourth time I had to say one more time to leave and stop the knocking of my door and he was going to break my stuff. He begun to come towards me while IÕm behind the door and I couldnÕt close to door I had to move by moving his shoulder and I closed the door and he said You just punched me and I answered as smart-alecky remark Yea, right. He started pounding and pounding and would not stop unitl 5:51. By this time he was driving around and around the house honking his horn and parked across my house to my neighbors house and my neighbors have been a witness to all this and come out and asked him, can I help you, do you need anything and He asked K' whoÕs car is that and she told him itÕs J's. I have a 2 witness of this harassment and phone bills. IÕm so afraid they send the same guy he is so aggressive and I donÕt even have an account with them.

Something needs to be done with the Show Low AZ store. My Payson AZ store was great they knew me by name when i would go and pay my bill. Then they closed it and made our lease go to Show Low AZ. They are the most rude people ever that work there. they are in to big of rush to close out our lease. They show up at my door on the day my bill is dew. They call me all day long when i have till that day of closing time to pay it. So i call to pay last bill and will be done with lease. they want to charge more then is owed. I go to ask why what is going on the gut get real nasty with me. So i raise my voice to tell him what i have written down from the last time i made a payment. He wouldn't let me talk and hangs up on me. Something need to be done here. for us its to late. We will no longer be customers with aarons ever again.

my name is tim,i am currently unemployed due to medical causes but put in 18 years at my now former job.i bought a tv from aaron's and a tv table.at the time i was doing well and working and able to pay for the tv.now i am being threatened on a daily basis because i can't make the payment on the tv because i'm filing for disability.i am completely broke yet i offer to sell plasma and try to pay them 10 dollars a week, they would not take it.i also ran into bad luck last year when i was robbed.they stole the tv and left the table.i brought aaron's a police report showing where the tv had been stolen and that i was out of town picking my son up from national guard ait training.but they are refusing to work with me anymore.i'm doing everything i can to provide a home for my family including selling plasma but they don't understand that i will when i get my disability pay them in full.but i've asked for they're help in my current situation.and they tell me they can't do back to back monthly extensions,and i understand that they have to make money to keep the doors open but they threaten to sue me because i can't pay or can't return their property.if i had it or any idea where it was i would return it.i mean i willing to take a polygraph to show i don't.but as god as my witness i will never deal with them again.i've tried to be pleasant about this and to cooperate with them but they've even told me they don't even want the table back just the tv.but i don't have it.

I had been working at Aarons Inc. for six months and had never missed a day of work. Well, I had been using my cell phone as an alarm to get me up in the mornings. Well the day before I was told to go "home" as in not fired. My cell phone was stolen, from out of my house. I was only 45 minutes late getting to work and I had called my GM and told him the incident. He said that was fine and to just come in. As I arrived at the store, I thought I was going to be able to work, but the GM told me to go home and told me he would call me when he was ready for me to come back to work. I never got that call, and I was told by a CAM of a different store, that I had been fired. I never got a termination paper, I never signed anything and I didnt know what was going on. So, the GM of the other Aarons in my town had to get everything from the GM from my store. Aarons should think about how they treat their employees, after I was fired. The GM of the store I was working told the other GM, that he wishes he wouldve kept me as a PT. Now who feels dumb?!?!?

It is so funny to me the ammount of idiots on here that complain about aaron's.. If you dont pay your mortgage would they not take your house? If you dont pay your car payment would they not take your car? If you dont pay your water, trash, cable, internet, or rent wouldnt it all be taken away? What is the problem when aaron attempts to do the same thing? For some reason everyone on here thinks they can get over because aarons works with people.. Now if you were with rent a center within a day or two i guarantee your merchandise would not be in your home.. Where aarons does everything in there power to help people to keep the merchandise.. I have paid off two tv's with aaron's and never had a problem ever.. I delt with kenny and the rest of the staff and never had a problem as long as i was there.. Now i am assuming most of you that complain are because you hide from them, or neglect to make a payment... Theft of Leased property is a very serious charge against a person if aaron's really wanted to hurt you they wouldnt bother running to your house trying to retrieve there rightful property from your home.. They are able to sit back not spend an additional 200,00 a year on employees just to call people and run by there house.. That should not be there responsibility it should be yours.. They can easily file charges for theft of leased property and have the police issue a warrant, arrest you then have restitution paid to them and if that is not paid you go right back to jail... aaron's is the best lease to own i have ever rented from.. REnt a center will pick up merchandise whether you try to work with them or not... Majic is just terrible they will pick up merchandise quickly and not work with you.. Not only does majic rental pick up there merchandise quickly but they also check for credit, and backround checks.. Which is nuts.. Aaron;s you walk in fill out order form, no credit check, no backround check and walk out or get merchandise delivered... About the guy with the washer some aaron's might take long to repair your merchandise waiting for parts or other things, but if aarons cannot fix you merchandise withing 24 hours they will provide you with a loaner until your merchandise if fixed..

having computer problems cant get a solution orderd a mattress and box springs in the middle of january guess what it wasnt ordered by the store personel and we were expecting delivery today. My wife has an extremley bad back and that is why we ordered a new mattress and box springs in the first place. I am totally over this whole situation.called customer service and filed a complaint now we will see if anything is done about the situation. This store in chessapeak VA has very bad service / and we can never get a hold of the manager what a surprise!

I live in Syracuse New York and I stopped by the Aaron Rent to own on Butternut Street in Syracuse, NY well first my husband & I walked in. The lights were on and the sign was still on saying open. We walked into this store and was asked if we were here to make a payment we said no, just to look around. But before we could even get that out a person working there said that they were closed. But the doors were open and the lights were on. HOW RUDE. I cannot belive the my husband & I were treated like this. Well we just wanted to look at the TV's really quickly to see what you had. It probably would have taken 5-10 minutes. Well let me tell you the person working there escorted us out and I said to my husband, it looks like we will be going to Rent a Center. I would not come back to AAROns to buy anything. I am totally disgusted with this store. They treated us like we were trash. ANd I am not. SO you just lost a customer and I would not even go to that Aarons at all. MY next trip will be to Rent a Center to make my purchase. Thank you Aarons for that, because, I will not shop in that store and I will tell everyone I know not to go to Aarons. Now, what do you say to that.

i decided i did not want to pay on my x box any more so i called them and let them know thay sent a guy out to pick up a payment but thay will not take the x box in tell i pay the month i owe so what is going to happen what should i do i really want to give it back to them but thay wont take it.

WE BOUGHT A PHILLIPS TV FROM AARONS AND JUST PAID IT OFF THIS PAST SUMMER I OF COURSE NOW IT'S JUNK!! IT DOES NOT TURN ON AND THE OTHER HALF OF THE TIME IT WILL SHUT OFF ON IT'S OWN. I CALLED THE LOCAL STORE HERE IN CRANBERRY, PA 16346 AND EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM THE SALESMAN STATED THAT I COULD CALL I FIX IT GUY IN MEADVILLE, PA I WOULD ATTEMPT TO REPAIR IT. WHAT THIS TELLS ME IS THE "REPAIR" GUY MUST BE WELL USED BY THE COMPANY BECAUSE THE SALESGUY AT AARONS QUICKLY GAVE ME THE INFO!! SO WHAT IS THE SCOOP ARE YOU SELLING REFURBISHED CRAP?? CLEARLY I HAVE NEVER HAD A TV GO BAD IN 18 MONTHS! IS THIS ALL THE LONGER A PHILLIPS TV SHOULD LAST NOW?? I PAID OR OVER PAID A TON OF $$$$ FOR THIS TV AND YET AARONS ARE NOT STANDING BEHIND WHAT THEY ARE SELLING! MY NEXT STEP IS PHILLIPS CORPORATE OFFICE, THE BBB & CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THE CLARK HOWARD SHOW. I WORK WAY TO HARD FOR MY MONEY AND REFUSED TO BE SCREWED OVER FOR A OVER PRICED TV THAT NOW WON'T TURN ON!!!! BUYER BEWARE!

I'm glad nameless up there has gotten great service, makes me wonder if it is an employee trying to come to Aaron's defense. My husband and I purchased a 46in LCD, TV stand, Blueray player and a floor freezer from them under the agreement that our due date would be on the 15th of every month. So today being the 15th, we went to the store to make our payment and they are telling my husband we owe them an additional $40.00. He asks why, only to be told we are two weeks late making our payment. Um, what? They claimed that we only paid up until the 1st. Total crap! Then the guy had the b*lls to tell me that I only paid them $80.00 last month to rent everything. I paid them $120 and I have the receipt to prove it. Here's the kicker though, the guy turns his computer screen around to prove me wrong, and guess what the screen reads? It read that I paid them $120.00 and I owed $194.13, not the $240.00 he was trying to collect. So I called the guy a liar to his face and told him it was bullshit that he was even sitting there lying about it and he kicked me out of his store! Wait, it gets better!!! He then procedes to tell my husband that the discount we were supposed to get on a promotion they were having was denied so we owed them the difference. Um, Im not paying for their mistake, they can eat the cost, it was their fault anyway. To make matters worse, the guy is sitting behind the counter whining about how he is going to have to eat the cost. Oh well, not my problem. And for any of you who have ever dealt with Aaron's, you know as well as I do, if you are so much as one day behind, they are blowing up your phone, your familys phones, and anyone elses phone number they have. Well, if we were two weeks behind, why didn't they ever call us and ask for the payment? If the promotion was denied, why didn't they call us and talk to us about it? They are a poor excuse of a place and should be put out of business. Seriously, do they train their employees to treat people like absolute garbage? I'm sorry, if you want people to continue paying for their stuff or even keep it, then learn to have some respect and admit when you are wrong, act professional and fix the mistake YOU made. Sorry excuse of a place. Wouldn't send my worst enemy to them.

i am expecting a responce a.s.a.p from some one who knows what the hell they are doing!!!! i have rented some furniture a whole set from aarons couch,love seat, recliner two lamps . everything that was delivered was broke and damaged, the first time that they delivered we spoke to a manager named Chris and Ken they both said they were sorry and garunteed our new furniture would be delivered the following week on wendsday we still did not get the furniture until the following friday and still no lamps and no recliner. okay they did give me 10 percent off but what good does that do when the third time they delivered stil was not right and they(AARONS) wants me to pay 3000.00 to them after all this hassel and point blank B.S. i expect someone to get ahold of me to fix everything.janddelarrick@yahoo.com

heres another aarons proof of idiocy for you all. my room mate has ben renting stuff from the aarons store in ardmore oklahoma for awhile now and had lots of issues with the store not putting in notes correctly on the system, i however rented a mattress from them on her account and paid it off early to boot. well she got a couple of pieces of paper stating no money till february and we went down to aarons she rented a tv and used one of them and i went to start a new account and use the other. well to make a long story short i was told i could not use teh no money till february flyer unless i had previously had an aarons account in my name, i was like WTF. this makes no sense especially since teh flyer said nothing of the kind anywhere on it and now i of course cannot prove it because the aarons store kept teh flyer. so i guess i could say thanks to aarons because all that did was cost them an almost 200.00 a month retal agreement on a laptop and a PS3. i think aarons corperate needs to make some serious changes in their stores and teh stores ability to play games with the customers. all in all though i must say that it will be cheaper for me to outright buy teh products i was going to rent seeing as teh PS3 they had listed as a 700.00 + retail when you cen get teh exact same thing from wal-mart for no more than 399.99 adn the laptop they had at a retail of over 1,000.00 can be bought for 500.00 to 700.00 from wal-mart. so do yourselves a favor, AVOID aarons like the plaugue their customer service is lousy, support is horrendous, WAY overpriced, rude employees, stores make up company policy, laptop computers are lower end of the spektrum with a higher end price tag, aarons cannot get core i7 based laptops(which is actually what i wanted), employees turnover rae is so high you never know if you will get teh same person on teh next day when calling teh store. rent a center is better although it is not by much it is still better

stay away from the Aaron s in Lebanon Pennsylvania they give you used appliances and they don't get them fixed. I have a washer that broke the service company was out three times and could not fix It,they took it away and gave me a loaner its been two months and i still don't have my washer back. the manager Kenny promised to take care of the payment because i had to go out to the laundry place and do my wash and bring it back to dry. they took the payment for my refrigerator and put it on my washer so now im late on the refrigerator. these guys are complete crooks and need to be shut down and put out of business permanently. thanks for nothing you losers.

I have dealt with this company for more years than I care to admit. Recently I became ill and got behind I set up a payment plan and was told that if I had any problems with it to call and I did and that is when all, hell broke loose they start calling all day comming to my home leaving tags on my door and telling me I owed them ten dollars each time they came out I explain that I would make a payment on the 21 and they asked could I return the items until that time. I have put to much money in these items to send them back. So now I am going to court I recieved the papers yesterday and they still called me this morning.I find that this company is not a good one and some of there employee purchase illegal items while doing there routes.

I'm sorry you people are having so much trouble! WOW But I have to say something in AARONS defense. Not all the stores are bad! It must just be certain areas! I have been renting from aarons for alot of years and never have I had a problem! I lived in Vermont and I rented from the Rutland store and also the Middlebury store and no problems! Now I live in co springs and I rent a big screen HD and a freezer and I still have no problems. The people in VT we're exceptional people and the people here are awesome also. I get greeted by not just one when I walk into this FOUNTAIN COLORADO store but by all who are in the SHOWROOM and I also get offered a beverage of my choice! I'm so so sorry that the people in your areas do not put their customers first as you should come first! AFTERALL I do agree that if it wasn't for renters like ourselves they would definitely be out of a job!! I am so grateful to the employees in my store who treat us like human beings and do treat us like we matter! Some of these AARON locations could use some lessons in how to treat their customers!!! My name is Felita. I am not usually they type of person to complain or try to get anyone in trouble but I have had one of the worst experience with one of your stores and their employee's. My Husband and I are former customer of Aaron's and I am sad to say that we will never ever be customers again nor will we refer anyone to your stores. I am 6mos pregnant and about a week ago one of your employee's came to my home to pick up a Flat Screen TV and Blue ray system.. First let me start by say that about 3wks prior to the pick up my husband call to the store to speak with someone about the fact that we where no longer going to be able to pay for our TV. He asked that some one come to pick it up and also explained that he had written a post-dated check that he wanted to be cancel because he knew the funds would not be in the account. The person he spoke with agree to have someone come and pick up the TV the very same day between 11-1pm and told my husband that the check would be voided out. My husband went to work that day and well sorry to say no one ever came. I received a phone call about a week and a half later saying that the check had bounced. I explained to the person that I spoke with at that time that my husband had spoken with someone and that the check should have been void out and that I didn't know what was going on because I didn't handle the account. I would have my husband to a call them as soon as he returned home from work or to call back and speak with my husband because he is the one who handles the account. A week went by and to my surprise one morning I received a phone call saying that there was a pick up scheduled for the TV that day between 1:00-2:00pm. My husband was not at home and doesn't have a cell phone were I could contact him about this but I knew he would be home shortly, at this point I just said fine because I knew he wanted the TV picked up and I figured he would be home around the time they came.. About 1:3:00pm an Aaron's truck arrived it my home to pick up the TV. My 1yr and 9yr old son's were at home with me at the time. My husband had not arrived home yet. The worker came in and I showed him to the TV, he then at that time asked about the DVD Blue ray system, I explained that I did not know where the DVD system was but that my husband would be home in about 20min and he would be able to talk to them about it because I did not know what he had done with it. I explained that he is the one who handles this account and the he would have all the information they need because I didn't know what was going on. At this time the work start laughing and saying what do you mean you don't know and told him that I didn't know what to tell him but if he could just wait about 20min my husband would be home. My kid were in the living room with me at this time and the worker began to asks me repeatedly about the Blue Ray system. He got very rude with me and said well that aint gonna work I gotten call the store manager. I told him fine but I didn't know what to tell him either but if he would just wait my husband would be there shortly. He called the manager anyhow. The manager got on the phone and began to say the same things, he was very nasty and rude and began to threaten me saying that he could press charges against me because my name was on the paper work as a co-signer. I became very upset I told him that I did not know what my husband had done with the DVD system, then he started to accuse me of knowing and asking did we pawn it or had we sold it or what. I explained to him that I did not know where it was, he needed to talk to my husband and that he would be there shortly. I explained to him that he was really upsetting me that I was 6mos pregnant and that my two kids where right there with me, at that point he laughed and said what ever put the worker back on the phone that he would just tell him to go to the court house and report the items as stolen. It this point I sent my kids in the other room and pleaded with the work that I really didn't know where the system was and that my husband would be there shortly. He continued to ask me over and over till the point were I was in tears. I told him to take the TV and just wait outside in his truck my husband got off work at 1:15pm and that he would be home shortly but instead the work just said well I guess your telling me to go down to the police station and file a warrant because we got to get our stuff. At that point I said what ever, I didn't know what else I could tell him because I didn't know where the DVD systems was. He lift and about 1min after he left I received a call from one of the stores managers asking for my husband and explained that he still wasn't there yet. He than threaten me telling me that he had to explain to me what he was going to do, he knew how to handle me and he was going to have a warrant issued for my arrest because I had committed theft by conversion. And that if he needed to he was going to call Delta where my husband worked. I explained to the guy that he needed to speak with my husband that he would handle everything and he said naw I got you, I know how to handle you. I was so up by this time that I started to yell, " look you need to talk to my husband, I told your work that he will be here shortly, I don't know what else to tell you. I am 6mos pregnant I have my two kids here with me, that he should be ashamed of him self for getting me all upset and he said okay what ever I got you, have a nice day, he laughed and hang up the phone in my face. About 2min later my husband walked in the door and I explained to him what happen, I was so upset that I could not stop crying, my 9yr old son was worried about me and kept asking was I okay. I had to explain to him that I was fine and that I just need a few min to come down. My husband called to the store and spoke with the manager and explained that he had taken the DVD system to his cousin's house and that I did not know. He told him that he did not like how they handled me and they had me all upset and that I was pregnant. He told them that he was going to contact his cousin and try to get them the DVD system ASAP or borrow the money to pay for it, that if he had know that someone was going to come and pick up the things that day he would have made sure ever thing was there. It was about two hours later that he had the system to them and the issue was over. It sad that I was treated so badly in front of my kids and while being 6mos pregnant. I do not feel that I was being unreasonable in asking for the worker to wait 20mins for my husband to come home. It is really said that I was treated this way, I was honest with the worker when I told him that I didn't know where the system was and it is sad that he would continue to harass me and up set me in front of my kids and seeing that I was pregnant, but it is apparent to me that they did not care about upsetting my kids and me and that sad and very wrong. I know that we did not hold up our end of the rental agreement because we just didn't have the money and we where honest about it. We are a family of 6, four boys,my husband and myself . We have just fallen on hard time as many people have. I lost my job unexpectedly due to my pregnancy and because of that we just could no longer afford to keep the TV. My husband is now the only bread winner in our home and it sad that we where treated this way. The store is located in Union City Georgia on London Derry Way .

Aarons SUCKS!!! I will never do business with them again and will make sure my family and friends will never deal with them.

I've been asking the store manager since JUNE 2010 for a letter for my apartment complex to clean my furniture that was infested with roaches after the Nashville Flood in May. I live on a hill and all the roaches settled under my building and came into my apartment. My renters insurance will not except claim since its the apartments fault. I don't own the furniture yet Aarons still does. I've spoken to Ray the store manager numerous times he kept telling me he'd send a letter and never did. In November I had to leave TN to assist my grandmother who suffered a stroke. Aarons offered me 160.00 payout I couldn't do it do to cost of move but made my Nov. payment, they stated they'd move the furniture to my storage unit for me but then when it came down to it they didn't said I had to wait several days. Had to move myself, I told them to take the furniture back they wouldn't since they never wrote the apartments and now I'm going to court with the apts. I've called customer service THREE TIMES since Thanksgiving week and filed a complaint on Ray. Each time they told me I'd have a call back in 48 hourse today is December 30th still no call? In March of 2010 my cousin died in the line of duty. I was so upset I forgot to pay my bill before I left the state to attend the funeral. Ray yelled and screamed at me on the phone as I was driving stated I'd better turn around and come make my payment. Are you serious? I filed a complaint on him at that time as well, they did repsond that time but this time nothing. The district manager that was supposed to call me back should loose his job IMO and Ray should as well. They keep calling me for my payment but won't hold up their end of the bargain. Are you Serious Aarons?

well been a customer with aaron's, and i've never had any of the workers talked to me in a harsh way,they never cursed,been disrespectful,or threats,i'm in a situation where i am having very diffecult financial problems along with other matters,and they have been very understanding about and rational,i feel like if you talk to aarons,and explain what you are going thru,hard times or whatever the situation is about,they will work with you,i should know first hand,now its different when they constant calling your home,or coming by and not getting a respoce to either,then you will understand why they do end up with and attitude towards the client,they've worked with me and worked with me,but if you feel like the situation is still continuing,then i'll just tell them to come and pick up the merchandise until you can get back on your feet,and if not,bargain hunting,but i love my furinture,and i'm going to do everything i can possibly do to keep it in my home,so i think aarons deserve more than just a five stars ratingsthey are top notch.i recommend aarons to any one,from e.c.indiana.
