Just wanted to make a comment about the Jennifer Hudson commercial for Weight Watchers. It is the most annoying commercial !! I never did think she could sing and mostly it's screaming. Everytime is it aired we have to use the "mute" button. I find it hard to believe that people would respond positively to this particular commercial . .It is just way too irritating. If she just spoke I think the commercial would be much better. . but that "screaming" that some people call "singing" has got to stop!!!

Company has been unresponsive to several email requests for a refund. I signed up and as soon as I started the program I discovered that the site was more like a dating website (profile, pictures, fiends lists, etc.) I'm totally not interested in any of this. I immediately emailed them for a cancellation and full refund, but no reply. Second attempt 5 days later, no reply. WW has made any contact with them next to impossible. If they fail to respond, my next move is to small claims court.

Meeting Facility has a lot to be desired. I just joined Weight Watchers yesterday, January 26, 2011. The location where I'm going to attend my weekly meetings (on Rosecrans Ave. in La Mirada, CA) is a depressing atmosphere to receive a "pep talk". As a professional, I wasn't impressed with Weight Watchers local "front porch" image. May I suggest painting the walls with warm colors that will enhance the atmosphere? What about placing colorful photos on the walls of fresh fruits and vegetables, people exercising or walking in a park, scenes of Farmers Markets, and pictures of real local community members who have had successful weight losses (instead of idolizing Jennifer Hudson's photo). The restroom was in poor condition. Might I suggest providing an automatic air freshener and a few decorative items in order to minimize the 'industrial' store front feel. Your company is highly recommended by the medical industry as the best weight loss alternative and I wholeheartedly agree. I would love to chat with the Regional Manager to see if some improvements can be made, before I will consider inviting friends to join me at this facility. I joined the Weight Watchers in Martinsburg, WV along with my husband and we paid $36.00 to join. The next day, I opened one of your packages and found a "join for free" brochure...can I have my $36.00 back? Many thanks, Barbara

I decided to try Weight Watchers on line and subscribed and made a 3 month payment. Then the same day I cancelled the membership because I decided not to do it. Sent an e-mail and cancelled the membership without using it. Weight Watchers refuse to refund the monies I payed. Very poor customer service and basically their e-mail response said NO!!!!!

I think I expressed very clearly in earlier e-mails that I was not pleased with Weight Watchers. Yet I keep getting generic e-mails asking me to come back and telling me "you can save!" The e-mails never include any savings offers and they never address the reasons I quit. 1. Soon after I joined - and bought the new members kit - the whole program was changed and they wanted to sell me a NEW new members kit. I asked, "What do I do with the one I just bought," and the leader, Cynthia Fabsicak,(Ventura CA) said, "Throw it away. It's useless now." I find it hard to believe that they didn't know the material inside would be "useless" when they sold it to me. Therefore I see Weight Watchers as a monolithic mega-corporation that benefits off the miseries of the ill and obese and knowingly overcharges for everything they do. They sell little boxes of "sweet treats" and crackers for $7.50 a box, more than twice what it would cost in a grocery store. Furthermore, the philosophy of "you can eat anything you want as long as you budget your points" is simply not true for everyone. Which brings us to..... 2. The Weight Watchers diet made me very ill. I was bloated, gassy, alternated between constipation and diarrhea, lost my appetite, began taking laxatives, and considered trying to become anorexic in order to lose weight since "nothing works, not even Weight Watchers." Please try to understand how disappointing it is to try every diet there is and then the one that is supposed to be the "Gold Standard" makes you terribly ill...and you still don't lose weight. and 3. Fortunately I have a friend who is a holistic nutritionist. She saw what was happening to her and I told her I'd been on Weight Watchers briefly. She has been assisting me to bring recovery to my digestive tract. It is not true that everyone can eat anything. Some of us have food allergies, and those food allergies can be deadly. When I first started Weight Watchers, I lost about 5 pounds, probably water weight. After that, I gained some back and lost only miniscule amounts. When a person has food allergies, it is not possible to lose weight by "budgeting points" because first one has to identify the allergies and remove them from the diet. I am feeling much better and finally beginning to lose weight because I avoid the foods I am allergic to, and that is the key. Not counting calories, not counting points, the key is to heal the digestive tract and then the weight loss occurs naturally as the metabolism returns to normal. Let me first start off by saying that I LOVE Weight Watchers and will always be a fan continuously striving to achieve my lifetime status. All that said, I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with one of the reps that I have recently spoken with on the phone, Maureen Sheehan. I am disappointed in her poor lack of judgement in word choice and customer service skills. I was truly hoping to get ladies from my church signed up in the program for an "At Work" meeting; however, due to Ms. Sheehan's extremely unprofessional nature that will not happen. In fairness to her I will not post her actual comments/words from our conversation because my desire is not to get her fired or have some type of disciplinary action result. Instead I am hoping that Weight Watchers will take some additional time to work with her on acquiring the necessary customer service skills so as not to turn away potential business for the company. On a more positive note, I would like to brag a little bit about my FABULOUS Weight Watchers leader in Cleveland, Ohio. She is the one that made me start to think, "we should do this at our church." I have tried attending a lot of meetings in the past and they have been good also, but Trudie Burrell's meetings are AWESOME! This sentiment is echoed by our group memebers. She is a truly a gem and I am grateful to her for being such an inspiration and showing me and others how to make the necessary life style changes to achieve the weight loss I desire.

As a member off and on of Weight Watchers for many years, I am dismayed at the treatment my daughter, a Territory Manager for W. W. , received. She was unceremonially fired, after being publicly humilitated by her district manager, ignored, threatened with probation, and accused of conflict of interest, because she teaches workout classes on the side. She had heard horror stories from other territory managers, how some had been met as they departed planes by their bosses and been fired on the spot. Other TM's told her how their peers had been hateful and petty to them. A veteran business woman, who is now a Weight Watchers TM, told her she had never worked with a more hateful group of women in her 30 years of business. How disappointing to learn that Weight Watchers has this kind of reputation. I will tell everyone I know about their terrible and unprofessional way of treating their employees.

01089 member and the leaders and meetings are great. but....why are people allowed to eat full meals during the meetings? i find it distracting ang puts the focus on wanting to eat..

Very unhappy with the Weight Watchers reps. in Athol Ma. (Beth Ellen & John). I recently joined WW in Athol and have attending meetings once a week for one month. The month of October. I have been losing weight, and have been happy with the program, until this evening. I was told when I signed on that I would receive one month free upon registering. I registered (paid the $40.00 for the month) and completed the month of October. At the first meeting on November 4th I was told I could not attend the meeting because they could not verify my registration for the free month. I had told them at previous meetings that the number they gave me to call to reg. for my free month was always busy. I have tried to call the 1-800 number many times. When I told my rep. about the problem, she told me she had no problem getting through on this number and basically pay up or leave! I LEFT! What's up with this lousy attitude, where's the support? Is this a scam? Are you really dishonest enough to with hold the free month by playing games with the phone number. I think you need to raise the bar on the leadership at weight watchers meetings! Very Sincerely, Michael Gearl
