Tire Kingdom is a bunch of crooks. Do not do business with them.

I have bought my tires from Tire Kingdom (on Aloma Ave., Winter Park,FL.) for years now, getting great prices and great service; However, this last time I was quoted a very reasonable price over the phone, and when I called back to make the appointment I was told by Bobby that he didn't have a tire waiting for me under my name, nor was the price he quoted me remotely close to the price another man gave me over the phone days earlier. Bobby was very rude and would not give me the original price I was quoted, even though five other tire dealers quoted me very good prices all within the same price range. I will not do any more business with Tire Kingdom. I had great service and a great price at Firestone on Orlando Ave., Winter Park, FL; I can recommend them.

I went in to the Longwood, Fl TK location in October because my car was overheating. They told me I needed a coolant flush and a new thermostat which costed me $322. So I had them do those services. Now it is December and I was checking my coolant because of a hard freeze we were to be getting and my coolant is what appears to be a coolant colored water. I took my car to firestone to have them test the coolant ratio and hardly any coolant registered. It is supposed to be a 50/50 ratio! So I went back to the TK and informed them of this, they denied putting water instead of coolant but they did drain the water and put more coolant in at no additional charge. But thank god I checked my coolant because I would have been screwed if my engine froze due to the fact that TK didnt do what they was supposed to do. These people are completely dishonest and I will never go back to them again.

The whole copany is a bunch of crooks. Stay away from these thieves.

Horrible customer service at the Tire Kingdom Store #295 & #64 located in Lake Wales, FL and Winter Haven, FL. In 2006 I purchased breaks (ceramic pads, calipers, etc.) from the Tallahassee Store #194 (great service). The breaks have lifetime warranty. In 2008 I started having issues with my breaks but I was no longer living in Tallahassee so I took it to the Lakeland store where they warrantied everything. Ever since I have had problems with my breaks. Almost got into a crash about a year ago when the manager at store #64 would not listen to me when I told him something was not right with the breaks. The store (don't have store #) in Brandon, FL corrected the issue (great customer service there as well)...I'm not going to write a story, just understand that service at those two Polk County stores are unacceptable. A customer should never feel like he is not wanted.

I purchased 4 tires from Tire Kingdom 1942 N. Collins Blvd. Covington LA on November 12, 2010. When I got to my next destination, 2 center caps(hubcaps) were missing on the passenger side. I called them immediately and the manager Chris said they would order from the Ford dealer and I would have them in two days, That was nearly two weeks ago and I get nothing but runaround and excuses. TIRE KINGDOM SUCKS!!

I had my oil changed at the sawgrass, sunrise location. I have a new Ford Taurus, with 4300 miles. When I walked in I asked if they had a 5-20 blend oil, and the reply was YES. When I got my car back,I paid the bill and went home. I looked over the bill, and found that 10-30 high milage oil was used. I am so happy that I'll likely never go to any Tire kingdom store again. THANKS FOR YOUR PROFESSIONALISM: vcarillo2@gmail.com

Store # 292 Opening Sales Person: 12942191: As loyal Tire Kingdom Customers for 8+ years, having 4 cars serviced and tires installed exclusively at this store, we were extremely disappointed with recent CUSTOMER SERVICE (CS) experiences. Specifically, we brought our car in on Saturday 11/13/10 for oil change. Sales person was an expert at up selling which we saw value add, resulting purchasing additional services. Later we got a call that as part of the free tire rotation (we previously purchased top of the line Michelin) and wheel alignment inspection, we were advised that the alignment was off on 3 of four points. While we did not budget for this, sales person came through on bargain offer and we proceeded. Today 11/16, we had to bring the car back because of a sudden vibration at med to high speed and braking. We brought the car in @ 12 noon, and were told they were not busy and would get right on it and call us with any findings. They never called. We waited till 6PM, when we returned and were attended to by another sales rep who could not locate our ticket or car keys and only after calling rep 12942191 at his house, was he able to locate the job ticket. He then informed us that for unknown reasons the assigned mechanic had to leave and left the job ticket with the car keys on top of a stack of used tires and no one looked at the car. Never have we seen such dismal and disgusting customer service. The young man working the front has a constant look on his face that say's I hate this job and prefer being some where else. His CS is non existent and I ( Nilda) have over 20 yaers experience in CS management understated the value of CS and how it affects repeat sales; would have him in for counseling and re-training in this area. We know that the former store Manger , Alexander Balado would never have allowed this to happen. His management skills and excellent CS environment is what retained our loyalty to your company products and former quality of service. To make things worse the young sales rep, with 5 min to store closing, offered to get it looked at but what confidence is there in getting a quality assessment when all the employees including the mechanics clearly had one objective on their minds as demonstrated by their mad dash to clean up & leave. It was made blatantly clear that this store had no interest in performing work where no sales was to be made. Needless to say, we had no choice but to take the car home without inspection or defective workmanship corrected. This has left us with an extremely bad experience to the point that once the poor workmanship is finally corrected, we will NEVER come back or recommend this store. Unless your corporate office can convince me that CS at this store will improve, today's failure by your employees has cost your our loyalty at the store and possibly with Tire Kingdom.

My car was stalling out and it was a Sunday. Tire Kingdom was the closest place open so we went there. After 2 hours the mechanic said he " thought " it was a timing belt. He could not give us a computer print out because he only had a hand held gadget. He said it would be $1300 to repair! He said they had to pull the front of the engine to get to the timing belt. We said no, we couldn't pay that. We couldn't get our car back until we paid $265 for checking it out. Today we took our car to 2 other mechanics. Both checked it for free. One said about $350 and You DO NOT have to pull the engine. The other said it would be under $400, you DO NOT have to pull the engine. $1,000 difference! Needless to say, Tire Kingdom won't see us again!

This has been the worst experience with Tire Kingdom at the Orange City Florida Location. I went in on 10/23/10 for an oil change and tire rotation. I was told it would be 2 to 2 1/2 hours as they were backed up. The store manager said he needed some information from the car and would be back he advised there were scratches on both the doors I advised I knew. (I had just purchased the car for my son, a week old and it was just inspected by a mechanic prior to purchase. It went fromthe seller tomy garage to the tag office and straight to tire kingdom) My biggest mistake is that I didn't stay and watch as I usually do. The store manger tried to sell me more but I stood my ground and advised i wanted what the coupon $19.99 another mistake offer an oil change and tire rotation. Did I mention they had a tire special going tires for $69.99. I advised I did not need any tires. I signed to have the work done and left. When I received acall my car was ready before the 2 hours I returned to see my car was backed into a parking space. I paid for the oil change and while showing my friend the car she noticed a big nail in the front tire that was not there when I brought the car in. I went back inside and the manager came out and stated i must have gotten when I left I advised I never left the parking lot and if my tires werre rotated how come the nail was not seen. He advised they don't checkthe tires they just switch them advised that is not true first because I had my car tires rotated the week prior and I watched how it was done and if the tires are not examined how did you know to tell me two of my tires were bald and I should replace with the tires on sale. The manager then states he will handle at no charge. I advisedd I was not going to wait for hours my car was finally brought in andf this time I decided to watch. I waited about 45 minutes before the mechanic went tomy carf started examining the wrong tire and I had to tell him which tire justg thenI noticed damage to the back bumper of my car I took pictures and called the manager and asked what happened to my car.He went and retrieved my paperwork that was on the table in front went back inthe office, came out and walked to the other end of the bay camed back and said"that damage was there see I circled it and you signed it. I said you must be crazy the paper was signed to authorize the work and you are showing me a circle on the car in pen 10 minutes later after you have been wlaking around with the paperwork. Advisded I was taking the car back to the seller and mechanic to verify the damage was not on the car. I calledc backthe store mgr and advised I had spoken to both and the damage was not on the car. I askedd for corporates phone number was advisded he would have to speak with his general manager and would get back on Monday. I was given the run around the general manger was rude. I have called coprate office 5 times request a call back from general manager supervisor no response todate. The generalmanger who i requested not to call me. Called me and basically called me a liarf that his store manager does not lie and he is not going tohonor any claim. Mine you he has snever seen the damage car. I am now going to file a smalll claims case against Tire Kingdom. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TIRE KINGDOM TO MY WORST ENEMY. POOR SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I DON"T BELIEVE THEY CHANGED OIL OR ROTATED TIRES. CROOKS!!!!

My son's alternator quit working on his way home from work and Tire Kingdom charged him $20.00 to have it jumped so he could limp his 1996 Ford Ranger into the nearest store on Park Street in Jacksonville, Florida. The quote for changing the alternator was $289.00! $181.00 for the alternator (a rebuild!) Since he was leaving out of town the next day for a business trip, he agreed to let them work on it. I picked it up and the bill was $339.00. He was charged $30.00 for a shop fee. (rags cleaner disposal fees etc) I inquired about what was used that was $30.00 for an ALTERNATOR replacement. The manager explained that it was a 10% of the bill fee and everyone paid it, and he could not adjust it, but agreed to an oil change for free. Well...I am thinking that is a great way to do business. Overcharge your customer coming and going, then add insult to injury and charge them another $30.00 shop fee for nothing. BTW we are still out $10.00 as the oil change is $20.00.

On Sept. 8, 2010 I went to Tire Kingdom for an oil change. When I pickup up the car I drove from their front door to the exit driveway in their parking lot which was only several hundred feet. I knew something was wrong. I stopped the car, got out and asked a worked to drive the car because something was wrong. He did not drive the car but topped off some fluids and told me all would be alright. Driving home about 10 miles I knew something was wrong. The following day I drove the car only a few miles because something was wrong. On Sept. 10 I took the car back and after more than 5 hours of repairs was told all was repaired. The invoice was $792.86. I'm being told by friend and neighbors that Tire Kingdom had sabotaged my car when I had the oil changed just to generate more business.I had high pressure lines, steering labor costs and front engine mounts repaired. Tell me was I taken for a ride?

How to lose a long-term customer and not care about it. Time for replacement tires, would have been my 3rd set from TK and I went to get present pro-rated and an estimate for the new set. They only pro-rated two tires and estimated all four new tires at close to $700. If you shop on line for tires the ones on my car run about $110 each: that's $440 + mounting. The store manager seemed totally uninterested in keeping my business and when we spoke on the phone he was pissed off at me! I guess no one's ever complained before. TK may be the biggest but they'll never be the best at this rate. Many other businesses had the same attitude BEFORE they went out of business.

A letter to Tire Kingdom corporate office, My name is Roland; I am/was one of your customers. I just want to tell you about my experience shopping with NTB and to shed a little light on your NTB customer pledge and what it actually entails. In April of 2010 I purchased four tires from your store #791 in San Antonio, TX. I was sold on the tires by a sales person by the name of J.J. because they came with a warranty that if anything was to happen to the tires during normal use in the first year, they would be replaced. I made my purchase of around eight-hundred dollars and away I went. On September the 22nd I had a complete flat when I came out of school and had roadside assistance help me change my tire and away I went to the NTB where I purchased my tires to get it fixed. When I got there I was met by an associate named Roger and he quickly went to changing out the tire. However he came back to me and told me that there was a “slight problem”, the tire was un-fixable and the tires that I had purchased just five months prior were no longer being stocked at NTB and the closest store that had ONE was in Palm Beach, Florida. He then instructed me to come back in to talk to the store manager Jimmy because he would be the one to make the decision to replace the tires or put me in a comparable tire of a different manufacturer. I was able to make it back in on September 28th and this is when I spoke with the store manager Jimmy. Upon explaining the situation to him, his response was that he could put me in a comparable tire. This is when I explained to him that I had just purchased these tires five months prior and did not want to have three tire of one manufacturer and one tire of a different. His response to me was that he would then order the tire from Florida and let me know when it came in. I asked him what good it was to receive a tire that was obsolete because once I got my tire replaced there would be no more tires like it and the warranty I was sold on would be void, of no use to me. I refused and asked for his corporate phone number to call and file a complaint with the store to which his response was that he would give me the number but they were just going to refer me back to him to handle the situation. I took the phone number and left. I called the 1-800-new-tire phone number that he gave me and was told that this was not the right number but they would get me to the correct number to log my complaint. I spoke with a woman who took my complaint, gave me a reference number and assured me that the manager was in fact not the one that would call me back but the district manager instead. I went home and promptly received a phone call not 3 hours later. When I answered the phone it was Jimmy the store manager calling to ask if I wanted him to order me the tire from Florida to which my response was that I was waiting to hear from the district manager. He then told me that he was forwarded the message and told to “handle it”. I, not knowing what else to do, told him to go ahead and order it and he responded with he was going to order it and have it shipped to the store in three days. ALL THE WHILE, I AM RIDING ON MY ONLY SPARE AND HAVE NO BACKUP TIRE IN CASE OF EMERGENCY. On Saturday I noticed my spare looked a little low and put air in it on the way home, just to check up since it had been over three days I called the NTB and spoke with Larry a little after 7:00pm and he said that they were closed but asked if he could still help me with something. I told him I was waiting on a tire to come in and really needed it, so I he could check to see if it was there. He looked up my info and said that he didn’t think it was there but would call me in the morning. I went home and as soon as I pulled in the driveway the tire was completely flat. I have NO SPARE and NO TIRE to get to work the next day much less to NTB to get it fixed. These have been the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL and INCOMPITENT group of people I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I have no interest in ever doing business with this company again and wanted to share my story with you as if it will change anything. I will make it my mission to steer as many people as possible away from your business with just the horror story of an experience I have had doing business with you all. I have worked in retail for 10 plus years and would never think of ever treating a customer this way but your employees find it to be standard operating procedure. I will now try and break down your NTB customer service pledge and give the true meaning. Myth#1 At NTB, we know buying tires can be a hassle. That is why we care for your car as if it were our own. We want to be your tire store. Fact#1 At NTB, we know buying tires can be a hassle, so we will tell you what you want to hear to make a sale and then act dumb when you call us out on our promise. That is why we will if possible put you in four different tires because we sell tires that will only be stocked for a couple weeks. We want to earn your business as your tire store but treat you with the poorest customer service available. Myth#2 We know your time is valuable, so we offer Fast Installation and Expert Service. Fact#2 We understand your time is valuable but value our time more than yours. We will promise things that we can’t deliver but when and if we do deliver on them, we offer Fast Installation and Expert Service. Myth#3 We know you and your family need to safely drive with confidence, so our tire experts offer expert service with your satisfaction guaranteed every time. Fact#3 You and your family may need to drive safely with confidence however if it fits our agenda and can be the cheapest fix we will do the best we can and your satisfaction doesn’t really matter. Myth#4 We know you want quality products, so we offer top brands etc. Fact#4 We know you want quality products, so we will pass off our products as being high quality to unsuspecting customers and then get rid of the product so it no longer our issue or concern. Get the hint, in no form or fashion are you all living up to your customer service pledge and for that, have lost one of the most valuable customers you could have lost. What I mean by that is, this is my first time purchasing tires for a vehicle and I choose NTB to do business with. If treated like a valuable customer you would have had a customer for life instead you have a customer that will never step foot in an NTB again and word of mouth is a powerful thing. I hope this sheds some light on your customer service practices, Roland

I worked for Tire Kingdom for only a couple of weeks. The things I saw there were appalling. I have never seen a bigger bunch of crooks before and I have been the in the automotive industry for 15 years. I would not recommend anyone go to Tire Kingdom nor would I recommend anyone consider working for them. I can guarantee when you leave you will not see your last check.

My family and I have used Tire Kingdom for oil changes and tires, on this last past Monday at 8:40 pm we purchsed a tire for $108, this is the third time this tire had to be repaired in the year and half that we owned this car. I asked the person and the manager who put on the tire if something could be wrong with the rim being that this has happened before, I was told no. The next day my son goes out and comes home and said my tire is flat again. I was annoyed because now I realize that it must be the rim. I call tire kingom speak to the person in charge and told him the sitution and said I was caoming from work and was meeting my son there. My son arrives and the guy said the tire is flat and since he drove on it and ruined the tire it is not covered??? We owneded this tire not even 24 hours!!!!Now when I spoke to my son I said fill the tire with air and come down to the store( we live around two miles away)I also like to mention that when I spoke to the mananger he did not tell me to take the tire off the car he said bring it in..... We are now told that they can work on a price for a new tire for us or next time we come in they can work on a price with us. I am not comfortable with this answer, I would like a replacement tire or "in writing" that I am going to get a discount price and I also want to speak to a Division Manager ot someone who can work with my family aabout this problems. Kind Regards, Claudia

DONT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY YOU WILL BE SORRT

On 5/29/09 I had Tire Kingdom(Fleming Island Fl) to install an a/c compressor ,accumulator.I've taken it back for repairs 5 times because it has never worked right from the start. Each time they claimed the problem was solved, but each time it would cool for a couple of weeks then stop. On 8/29/10 it was in for the same thing. They kept the car from 8/27/10-8/29/10 and not so much as a call. So I called them and was told that the car had an electrical problem under the dashboard that was causing the compressor not to kick(THEY SAID IT NEEDED TO GO TO THE DEALER).I knew this was a lie but I agreed to take it to the dealer to have it checked out.On Mon.8/30/10 while driving to work the compressor caught on fire and the car had smoke everywhere. What made it even worse was that my 2 year old child was in the car at the time and this scared him to pieces. It's sad that something like this had to happen for them to realize that what I was telling them all the while was a problem. The car was towed to a different Tire Kingdom(Blanding Blvd. Orange Park Fl).I do not feel I should have to pay for labor on a service that wasn't done correctly in the 1st place. Everything was still under warranty so why am I being told that I have an $800 bill. thanks for your help Tire Kingdom A very dissatisfied customer! By the way I will now tell my friends and anybody else who will listen to not do service with Tire Kingdom because from what I see they don't stand behind their work...

I had tires shipped to Tire Kingdom in Port Orange Fl(avoid these idiots)from The Tire Rack online to be installed. They mounted the new tires on new rims an installed them on the car. I received my paperwork when they were done and noticed there was no mileage documented. So I went back in they wrote the mileage down but failed to update it in the computer. Now 10 months later , my 30k mile tires are worn out with 8k miles on them(evenly)and TireKingdom has no record of the mileage or the car. They have it designated as "loose"...meaning the wheels were brought in and not installed on the car. No mileage documentation means no warranty. I am out around $500 because of their stupidity and ignorance??? I don't think so! They say they cant do anything about it. WTF!! This isn't over by no means!!! TIRE KINGDOM SUCKS BALLS AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a note to say what a pleasure doing business with your Oviedo store was. Several weeks ago, while returning from a fishing trip in St. Aug, my boat trailer broke down. I needed a new axle, the store in St Aug replaced it and I was able to drive home. Once here, I took it to the Marine repair shop that does my work to put the breaks back together. They discovered that the axle was too short, I brought it to Greg at 1485 E. Mitchell Hammock Rd in Oviedo, who assured me it would be covered under warrenty. Being that it was already there I also agreed to allow him to put the breaks back on as well. When I arrived to pick up the boat and trailer yesterday, I knew the axle was already paid for and fully expected to pay for the labor to put the breaks back together. Well to my surprise, when I offered to pay I was told that would not be necessary. This is by far the best automotive repair experience I have ever had in my 47 years of driving. Thank you for hiring such wonderful people to work with. Sincerely Ron De Vasto
