tires

Bought 4 tires including lifetime rotate and balance, everytime I go there to do it they try to push every other kind of repair on me and I know I don't need it as I have a 30 year master mechanic that does my car. Last time they said my battery was low had it checked at 2 differerent places, they said nothing wrong with it and here it is 7 months later and still going strong. I will never buy another tire there at 7390 52nd Place Bradenton, Fl.34203.

Wheel Rim scratches after failed aignment

I had put new ball joints on both sides, inner and outer tie rods on both sides and front and rear struts/shocks on my 1998 Mustang. I took it to the shop in Kissimmee to have the alignment done. They said that it was badly out of alignment, which I knew because of the repairs, but they said that they got it back in line. I drove it to Tampa 2 weeks later and I had to fight it down and back, 150 miles. I took it back to the Kissimmee shop and they worked for 2 hours. The guy said he would get one side in line but then the other side would be out of line. Finally I got upset because 2 weeks prior they said it was back in alignment, now they were saying that they could not get it aligned. I took it to the Ford dealer and in 45 minutes it was back in line. I went back to the shop and they did refund my money. a couple days later I noticed that all 4 rims had bad scratches in all 4 rims from the Tire Kingdom shop. These are the Ford alloy rims that they ruined the finish on.

Your service has gone downhill. I ordered a tire.told it would be there in 3 days.No one called. then told it was on its way. Week later, no tire. Its been over 2 weeks and no tire. Noone bothered to call and say it was on back order. I called and all they say is sorry?? I am disabled and need my vehicle. What is wrong with you people? After years of being your customer, I am going elsewhere.

I had a BAD EXPERIENCES with your company. And the way it look so have many others. WOW Great review. I have giving Tire Kingdom 0-10 0 that is the best rating. Have a great week.

refusal to repair flat

I bought two tires at Store TJ 125 Aloma Ave. Winter Park, Florida. Months later one of them had a flat. I took it back to the same store where I was told the sidewall was ruined, because I drove it too far. To which I said I didn't drive it at all, it went flat while sitting in the sand at a flea market. Then I showed him the nail. He said, no, you drove on it too far, I won't repair it. It is a liability. I said, sir, I managed a tire shop for two years, and I know sidewalls cannot be damaged by sitting flat in the sand for ten minutes. He said, then fix it yourself. Condescending customer service. I work locally with over 2,000 people directly. I will inform them to avoid Tire Kingdom no matter how cute the advertisements.

made it worse

took my truck in for a new valve gasket as the old one was shot and dripping onto the starter. Mechanic said he fixed it. paid 200.00. the next day same thing,,oil on the starter. took it to a real mechanic and was told that the guy who fixed it forgot to tighten the nuts around the gasket, causing oil to again pour out. another starter had to be put it. new mechanic said this was a very poor job of getting this fixed. stay away from tire kingdom..........

Alignment

If I could give them zeros stars I would. Tire Kingdom and Merchants Tire are worthless and just out for your money. I took my truck in for an alignment to Tire Kingdom while on vacation in Florida, got the truck back with the steering wheel turned slightly to the right and had a slight right pull. I drove it back to my home town and took it to the local Merchants Tire since it was still under the 6 month/6000 mile warranty. Well the Merchants Tire screwed it up worse than it was already and tried to tell me they couldn't get it any better than that. Needless to say I took it across town to a shop that is very reputable alignment shop and in less than 30 minutes they had my steering straight and my alignment dead on. Not to mention they charged me less than half what Tire Kingdom charged me to do the alignment.

Dishonest practices

Husband brought our car in for a repair as we thought the tire may have a nail in it. There appeared to be a slow leak as we kept having to put air in the tires every week. My husband spent almost 2 hours waiting for a tire patch. The very next day the tire was flat. Not sure if they even patched it or just charged us to let the car sit there while they did nothing to it. My husband called back again where he was told " well maybe we damaged your valve stem". Maybe?? So to me this means they know nothing about tires. We brought the car to Tire Kingdom for it to be looked at by people who supposedly know tires, yet they seem to have no clue. My husband was told to bring the car back and they would repair his valve stem for 80.00. brought it back in. This morning the tire is flat again. Basically we wasted time and money going to these people who know nothing about tires. Avoid this place, they are dishonest and will scam you in any way they can!!!

Columbia SC Experience

This was not only the worst experience, the staff admitted that they wouldn't do anything about my situation because it would show up on a report that went to corporate and they didn't want a bad customer service flag. Really?! I will be emailing a formal request for reimbursement and an apology to headquarters.

I was a regular at the Tire Kingdom Store #056 9898 PINES BOULEVARD Pembroke Pines, FL 33024, until last year, I went for my usual oil change, and they tried to sell me an unneeded engine flush claiming they found sludge. I refused, and they said that it was company policy and would not do the oil change w/o the flush. I have worked on cars since I was 12 years old, so I have a clue. I asked how did they find sludge w/o draining the oil? They said it was on the dip stick! My car had less than 50K miles and I had checked and wiped the dip stick the day before driving the one mile to the shop. Of course I left immediately, got my oil changed down the street, I looked over their shoulder as they drained the oil, no sludge. A few days ago I went for brake estimate to the shop at Tire Kingdom Store #260 2600 PINE ISLAND ROAD Hollywood, FL 33024 this time the guy looked at brake rotor through the rim and with a very concerned look pointed to blueing on the rotor and said they would have to be replaced. I told the story to a friend and he laughed and said they tried to sell him on a flush and replacement of his power steering fluid, the car has electronic assisted steering, not hydraulic! LESSON LEARNED: AVOID ALL tire kingdom ripoff shops!!

I went to tire kingdom to get my tires balanced, rotated and an alignment. The service tech told me my front control arm bushings were bad. I knew, for a fact, that they were just replaced, not 6 mos. ago by a certified BMW mechanic. A phone call to corporate and a conversation with Tony Stewart, the new manager, at store #96 got me the work I needed done, done in a reasonable amount of time and was treated very courteously. Tony is a great manager, fixed the problem, and did it all with style and professionalism. I will be going back to this store on Merritt Island, as long as I can count on their better quality of tires and workmanship. thanks, Tony you restored my faith, in the "take advantage of" world...

Rude salesperson..Never got any of my paperwork after my services which took 3 hours..pulled up to pick up my car and the place looked closed , I asked why noone called me to let me know my car was finished and the person behind the desk said he could not find my paperwork.. He procredded to tell me 2 techs walked out on him.. I said I nwas sorry to hear that but I did need my paperwork and he said OH well not everyone has good days.. I asked for Copr phone # ..he told me to shut up.. I called his manager Brian and explained the situation and he really could care less... I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO POORLY>> I wi;ll never never never go back to Tire Kingdom... THEY SUCK !!!!

I took my car into the Tire Kingdom in Lake Park FL. All I needed was a tire to be patched, I was quoted $19.99 for the work, when it was time to pay I was told that to patch a tire is $24.99, I told the young man that I was told that it was $19.99, he did honor that price but add a stupid SHOP FEE of $2.00, which I asked what it was for and was told it was for small supply, like screw & nuts, rag, oil & ect. I think this is not fair to the customers Tire Kingdom should not be charging a shop fee, I did not use any of the items that the young man read out to me, and I did not even sit in side of the building.

HOW ABOUT 100% MARKUP ON PARTS. THAT'S RIGHT 100%. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT I NEED AN ALTINATOR AND WHEN I PRICED IT AT AUTO ZONE (THE PARTS) STORE THEY INFORMED ME IT WOULD COST $99.95 AND WHEN I RETURN THE CORE I WOULD RECEIVE $25 BACK. WELL THE MANAGER AT TIRE KINGDOM OFFERED TO CHAREGE ME $175 FOR THE PART NAD DID NOT MENTION THE REFUND OF $25... WHEN I CHALANGED HIM ON IT, HIS RESPONSE WAS "WHAT WE CAN'T MAKE A PROFIT". SURE YOU CAN RAY BUT NOT A 100%. NEVER WILL I USE THESE GUYS AGAIN......

THEY ARE EXTREMELY RUDE, THEY WILL PURPOSELY BREAK MORE THINGS WITH YOUR CAR OR MAKE IT LOOK LIKE IT HAS MORE PRIBLEMS THAN IT DOES TO HUSTLE YOU FOR MORE MONEY!!!!!! DONT GO!!!!!

They should be on the same axle!!!! Your oreirvding concern should be to put both of them on the same axle, whether front or rear. As to whether they should be front or rear, there is a lot of common wisdom about this, but it is mostly unjustified. If your older tires will be good for a while, put the new ones on the axle that wears the tires the fastest front for a front-wheel driven car, rear for a rear-driver. Forget about "improving steering" or anything else; if your old tires are so worn out that they are prone to losing traction in water, for instance, they should have been replaced in the first place.

First and foremost, anyone fooled into dropping 1000 or more without doing due diligence is a fool. Second of all if you are told something is three hours labor, and it only takes 1. It doesn't mean u will not be charged the other two. It's called flat rate people. Just because someone is capable of doing a three ur job in 1 doesn't mean he should get paid less. Let's turn it around and say someone tells you the three ur job actually took 10. Would u feel its right to pay an extra 700 for the incompetence of the mechanic. Heck NO. So why shoud the mechanic get paid less for knowing his job and the dumb mechanic get paid more cause he has no clue what he is doing. Look up the meaning of flat rate and who sets those base rules for all auto repair facilities. They cannot charge more than the rules say to charge.

Sorry but this must be a Minus: slow pressure leak, our neighbor Tire Kingdom store, where We have bought Tires from I ask to repair the tire, after 2 1/2 hr. wait, not much buisness going on, I watched them in the process of digging my 19,000 mile tire atempting to plug what they thought was the leak, I observed my bill on the desk,,,$23.53 for plugging instead of removing and patching the leak, I did complain and they did install a patch, I strongly feel this was a warrented rip off, There will never be a chance given to them,Fl.Tire Kingdom # 103 1014 S U.S. Hwy 301 Tampa Fla 33619,,,

Out of towners from Miami, FL- made an emergency stop for FUEL PUMP REPAIR! WE WERE OVERCHARGED, PRACTICALLY ROBBED!!! When I first arrived to tire Kingdom via a tow truck at the tire Kingdom located at 27629 Wesley Chapel Blvd. in Wesley Chapel, FL 33543, they immediately knew under our circumstances that we had no choice but to get our fuel pump repaired at their shop. Initially, we were given a verbal estimate by Shawn Srepp stating that the Fuel Pump repair job was going to take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours of labor, because our entire gas tank needed to be emptied and lowered out of the car. It turns out only 5 gallons of fuel needed to be removed to complete the job, and the gas tank did not need to be removed. Although the job, only took an approximate 45 minutes to remove 5 gallons of fuel , the fuel pump, and replace with a new fuel pump, I was charged the original verbal estimate of $635 even though the job took way less time and actual labor (since they didnt have to remove the gas tank) to complete the job. When I asked the technician why i was still being charged the original verbal estimate , he rudely barked back "Do whatever you want, but thats what you have to pay me." I felt robbed, but what could I do? My hands were tied since I was passing through. When I got home to Miami, I quoted the Fuel Pump job with several mechanics close to home, and they advised me it was a $250 job included parts and labor!!! I was charged almost TRIPLE at TIRE KINGDOM! When I contacted corporate headquarters to give a formal complaint, the gentleman on the phone simply repeated several times " Im sorry you feel that way ma'am" and agreed completely with the over-charge from the Tire Kingdom in Wesley Chapel. DO NOT EVER GO TO TIRE KINGDOM ANYWHERE!!! THEY ARE A BUNCH OF CROOKS!!!
