Customer Service Sucks

In reading the comments so far, mine are the same. They have no customer service. Even with Hurricane Sandy, five different persons used the playbook to frustrate me, hoping I would quit discussing my plight. They are the worse airline with respect to customer service.

I WILL NEVER FLY SPIRIT AIRLINES AGIAN! Every single time I have flown with you has been an absolute disaster!

Trying to get the change of flight fee waved since we ARE in a State of Emergency due to Sandy--insurance people are coming the week of 11/5/12---house has damage!!!! Who can leave this week???? My flight is on 11/6/12, is it too much to ask for this fee to be waved? I'm willing to pay the new flight difference--spoke to THREE people at Spirit----they All couldn't help me!!!!!! SPIRIT have some decency and consideration for the people involved in this hurricane aftermath------

I was trying to purchase tickets for travel online. I kept getting an error message so I called and spoke with a foreign representative who took my name and number to have a manager call me back. A week later still no call. I called requesting for a manager and was placed on hold for 1hr and 20 minutes. When , I did speak with a manager Fam ID#24144(rep from India) told me there was nothing he could. I was told to email corporate but he know there is nothing they can do and hung up...

Worst airline ever

Scheduled to fly from Dallas to Houston. My husband and I missed the flight due to I got sick and could not stop throwing up. Spirit would not put us on another flight and would not compensate us in any way. I was told by some foreign man "sorry you lose your money."

Wife & I flew Spirit DFW to Mesa AZ. I read several negative reviews online and was miserable expecting the worst. One friend and two relatives stated they had a good experience. We had good flights both going & coming. The aircraft we flew were not dirty/nasty, the flight crews were courteous, and we arrived earlier than the posted times. The seats do not recline which was OK for our two hour flight. I checked Spirit website for baggage info, double checked. Measured and re-measured bags. Did not pay nothing for carry-ons and paid the fee listed for checked bags. We are by no means frequent flyers. I wish Spirit offered international flights because the airline we have flown normally gives us nothing but $150 change fees even when there was a death in the family. Their rate to Mesa was 2 times more than Spirit. I will definitely use Spirit for our next domestic flight. THANK YOU SPIRIT AIRLINES.

Worst absolute customer service. Hidden fees,archaic policies that no other airline in the world uses. Never fly with them again. Interesting that every comment posted is negative...

i will never fly this bull S### company to change $100 bucks for carry on is taking advantage of their customers and this will not be tolerated i will boycott and picket line in front of ur office if i have to and this will go on twitter for sure. thanks for caring about ur customers NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am digusted with this airline and the treatment I had on my recent flight. I flew to Oakland from Las Vegas. First I signed up for the $9 club thing knowing I was going to be flying back and forth for the next 6 months seeing as my daughter is having a bone marrow transplant. I was looking for an airline that was reasonable that would work with me going back and forth. NEVER again will I fly this airline!!! I arrived at airport to have to pay an extra $50 for my checked bag that I already paid for. Actual flight ok! Return flight I again had to pay an extra $38 for a checked bag plus an additional $25 for being 9lbs over weight limit. Checked website and when making reservation there is nothing explained about charging by weight, unless you go out of making a reservation and go into a completely different part of their website but it was not easy to locate. Many hidden fees associated with this airline and when I contacted them last night a man named Diego stated you can try calling any number you want in reference to your complaint but nothing will change and NO money will be returned to you. I had scheduled this flight off a voucher due to my daughters illness and not being able to fly on my original dates and the tickets were cheaper the second time I scheduled. They told me I had a $112 credit and then when I tried to use that credit for all the extra fees with luggage they informed me I didnt have a credit to use and I was out of luck. Again, NEVER again will I fly this airline. They are horrible, unprofessional, and blood sucking individuals who have no business sense.

Spirit airline-The most stupid and insane airline I have come across! The worst customer service, Indians using American names, who have no common sense or any sense at all. The corporate. # they have provided is fake, you can b put on hold for up to an hour, and your problem which was created by them in the first place will not be resolved. The idiots seem to be reading from a script. If u ask to talk to a manager, he,/she who seems to be the previous person u just spoke to, just wastes more of your precious time! They made me miss my flight by taking off earlier than scheduled. I fell sick and could not travel the next day and they had automatically canceled the whole trip! They refused to give me any form of compensation. I had 2 tickets. They stole almost $1000 from me. They also charge you up to $40 for carry on luggage! Never again will I attempt to use these idiotic thieves! Since the corporate # is fake, does anyone know who else to talk to, or how else we can expose these idiots, apart from using the social media, TV or the press? Why are these idiots still in business after 125% bad reviews? I rate them a negative zero! DO NOT FLY WITH SPIRIT AIRLINES! THEY ARE BIG FAT LIERS! CHEAP WILL COST U LIKE IT COSTED ME BIG TIME! I WILL STICK TO AMERICAN AIRLINES! I'D RATHER PAY $200 MORE AND FLY WITH AMERICAN, US AIRWAYS OR DELTA THAN FLY WITH THESE IDIOTIC FOOLS, WHO CLAIM TO BE CHEAP, CALLED SPIRIT AIRLINES!!!!!

Very unhappy with our first trip to Las Vegas, Spirit Airlines has made this trip horrible for us!! First on Monday Sept 17 the flight out of O'Hare Chicago to Las Vegas was delayed over 4 hours and now tonight Sept 21st they started out and turned the aircraft back to McCarran Airport, Las Vegas, Nv and said their will be another delay, what is going on with Spirit Airlines????????????? Also charged 38.00 and 26.00 for 1 piece of luggage, flying out on Monday from ORD (Chicago O'Hare) they only charged 35.00 at the airport, something definitely is going on with Spirit Airlines Customer Service, we will not tolerate this at all, will be contacting other sources as well to get full refunds for both Vince and Sheryl Comello on the round trip flight as well as extra baggages charges, this is un-called for and extremely poor service

Today, I am traveling from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and was in disbelief that Spirit charges for carry-on bags. This now raised my ticket an additional $80. Everyone is complaining about Spirit and even the TSA stated that they are always canceling flights or delayed. When I asked if I was going to be charged for the air on the plane, they said no the TP. Clearly, Spirit is a joke and an embarrassment to all. Well, no one is in good "spirits" with this pathetic airline!!

granddaughter flew to Denver 9-17-12 was charged $40.00 for a 20 pack of baby diapers. Even tho it was her carry on.You can't get intouch with any one from the US. Script and DA from India I'm with everyone else I would give a 0. I am going to put Sprint airlines all over facebook and yelp and the BBB. Tell all your friends DON"T fly Spirt. Lets put the airlines out of buisness.

I have a flight out to DFW from ORD I tried to purchase my luggage online Spirit is now charging me more money due to the flight leaves within 24 hours. Keep in mind I have not checked in yet for the flight. Yesterday the fee was $ 5.00 cheaper than today my flight leaves tomorrow. I called CSR the man Juda was very rude then he stated log back on the fee will be 5.00 cheaper I tried twice no results, I called back to speak to supervisor with no response on hold for over 20 minutes. I have no choice but to book the bags and pay the additional fee. I will never, never, never fly Spirit again, I will go with the real airlines like United, AA, a true caring airlines. Spirit needs to be sued and go out of business. I hope my flight takes off on time there and back. They are rated a big fat 0 ZERO!!

WORST EVER!! I BOOKED A FLT FOR MY WIFE TO LEAVE DALLAS SEPT 15 GOING TO BALTIMORE RETURNING FROM BALTIMORE ON SEPT 19. THE AGENT BOOKED THE FLT FROM BALTIMORE TO DALLAS THEN FROM DALLAS TO BALTIMORE BOTH ON THE 19TH. WHEN I CALLED BACK TO INFORM THEM OF THEIR ERROR, I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. I WAITED ON THE PHONE FOR 2 HOURS YELLING AT THEM CAUSE SHE WAS GOING TO A FUNERAL. THE "SUPERVISOR" "GEORGE" SOUNDED LIKE HE WAS FROM PUNJABI INDIA. NOTHING HE COULD DO IT WAS OBVIOUS HE WAS READING FROM A SCRIPT. THEIR MISTAKE!! WOULD HAVE COST ME 150 TO CHANGE THE RESERVATION THAT THEY MESSED UP!! I AM DONE!! TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO TELL EVERYONE THEY KNOW!!! DON'T FLY SPIRTI!!! CHEAP SEATS = CHEAP SERVICE!!

If I could give this airline a lower rating I would. WORST AIRLINE EVER and I plan to do everything I can to make sure they go out of business. I was traveling with 2 other friends from NYC to Cancun on Sunday August 26h. We checked in and arrived at the gate at 6:20am. Our flight was scheduled to depart at 6:45am. They gates were closed and even though the plane was sitting there for the next 10-15 mins, we missed our flight along with about 15-20 other ppl. One man missed it and his wife was already on the plane. We all started complaining to the spirit airlines staff that was present and they all sat there ignorning us and doing absolutely nothing. I could go on and on with the continuous problems we had with Spirit airlines throughout our trip but I will save it for the head office and media if necessary. DO NOT EVER FLY OR GIVE ANY MONEY TO SPIRIT AIRLINES.

It was the first time that my family flew with Spirit Airlines. The flight process was smooth going to Orlando, Florida. The seat are super uncomfortable do not recline and we had to pay for snacks and drinks. No pillows nor blankets are provided. What really made us angry was the fact that a person on the phone booked us for flight and hotel and when we got to the hotel we were told to pay an additional $128.00 for 4 nights. A resort fee that no one had told us about nor it was on the paper work confirmed by a customer service rep herself. I called and the rep told me that the person that took care of my booking did not inform me and she was sorry. Well, sorry does not cut it when we had to budget for this trip to the last penny. I was told to write the company because they could not compensate us. It has very cheap service. Paying for a seat that had a medal bar on my behind was not fun. We were also delayed because the airplane had mechanical problems going back home. I was trying to change the date on the ticket and they wanted us to forfeit our ticket and purchase new ones. I have never heard of such a thing!!!!
