THE WORST

I wish I had read these reviews before going to this place! We tookd our daughter for her 2nd birthday pictures and although she really wasnt in the mood for photos they managed to get some good shots. Our complaint is not with the staff or how things were handled but rather in the product we received. We paid $135 for 10 sheets and 1 low resolution CD. We are happy with the photographs but when we uploaded the pictures on the CD they are all turned side ways except for 1 and the 1 that is facing normally is so small that it almost looks blurry. I figured ok I'll try and email it to my family and see if it comes out that way. unfortunately it did! You need a magnifying glass to see the photo and if you want to see the others you have to turn your head sideways because. I am unable to turn them becuase the CD is "read only"!!! I have tried calling them all week and no answer, the phone just rings off the hook! I plan on writing a letter to their corporate office and see if I can get a response. Im not asking for my $ back I just want what I paid for!

Horrible. The worst. Don't waste your time or money The phone is always busy to make a apt & if u do get thru They tell u their system is down please go online & make a apt Because they r too lazy to make the apt. Always the same story Your apt is rushed & they r very rude & unprofessional Hate picture people!!!!!!!

Baby 1st Pictures

I was very pleased with the photos that our photographer took of our little baby girl "Amanda". The pictures came out very nice and sharp.

Yesterday I had the misfortune of spending four hours with my entire family of 11 people at this business called the Picture People. I had a 5:20 appointment and left there yelling with tired hungry children at 9PM. When we first came in, everything seemed fine. We took our pictures but my husband noticed that the women who were taking our pictures were rushing. Well when it was time to look at our pictures not one picture came out good. The man helping us told us that we had to all pay together. I explained to him that he has the technology to ring us all up separately since we are all buying different packages. However, we decided not to buy any pictures. At that point we should have left the store but the manager said we could take the pictures over. We then had to take our pictures all over again but this time we had another set of women who took our pictures. They took their time and checked the camera to make sure the images were good. Then we sat down to view our pictues and selected them. By this time it was 8:30. The woman who helped us select the pictures told us it will be about 15-20 minutes for the pictures to come out. Tell me why another woman comes out about 20 minutes later and tells us that it would be another 45 minutes because they made a mistake and processed someone else's 92 picture order before. This person was not even in the store waiting for their pictures. Needless to say I lost it. I will never, never ever use this place again.

The only store w/in 3 hrs closed up...I would like a refund of my annual membership. I called for days and days only to get a recording.

I went to picture people for my 5 month old. The photographer went out 2 times to fix the camera or change not sure but camera was not working mean while I try to keep my baby tempo which is very difficult. He wasn't read with any stuff when I ask him he go out again and again to get stuffs like teddy or basket mean while I had to keep her laughing. Finally everything was done and I want to use my coupon and I have to buy original price sheet to use my coupon which ends up very expensive. Any ways I buy some but very disappointed with all to gather service. I want to talk with someone responsible person for picture people. If anyone know the number to reach corporate office please post it.

I can not get my order for almost 2 months! One large size picture and 2 frames. Picture was poorly done, frame came broken, wrong color... broken again... I am done with this business. NEVER AGAIN!

I WENT TO PETCO IN ALLENTOWN PA ON JULY 7, 2012 FOR MY DOG'S PICTURES, THE GUY WAS VERY NICE AND DID HIS JOB. HE TOLD ME I'D GET MY PICTURES IN 3 WEEKS AND IT'S BEEN MORE THAN THAT ANS STILL NO PICTURES!! THEY NEED TO STOP BEING SO DAMN IRRESPONSIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. I'M VERY UPSET! AND I WANT MY PICTURES!

Simply, they are the worst ever of any business I have dealt with. Don't go there.

Picture People in the staten island mall is the worst!! First of all they falsely advertise the promotions. On the third visit your suppose to get a frame no where in the member book does it say cannot be redeemed with other cupons, nor do they explain it to you. Secondly common sense is to touch up the filthy background the first Time around! I waited over an hour just for the pictures to print. The manager, not the main one was nasty and rude!! I will never go back!!

I worked for them for three days, and have not been paid. Their standards for photography were very low, at one point I was told to take photographs of a group of 12 dogs, though the lighting and backdrop were made for a maximum of four. Their photographers are not professional as they claim, they pay only the minimum wage, and their photographer employees are considered contractors, so they do not have pay employee benefits etc. If you want professional quality photographs go to a professional photographer. They are artists are committed to getting you the images that you want. The Picture People do not care about quality, only in the final profit at the end of the day.

I went twice with my daughter who is 6 mos old. The photographer was new, and did not know how to take pictures. The other associates were just sitting socializing and not very helpful at all. I had tO get my daughter to smile by myself. When the photos printed out they were very blurry, but I purchased them any way. I took her back a second time and the same thing happened. There was about 5 other workers just sitting around and left the new girl that had. I idea what she was doing to take her pictures. I asked one of the women that worked there if she can help out and get rattlers or something to make my daughter laugh. This woman gave me an attitude and told me they have nothing to distract her. Once again the photos were printed out and the picture was not focused and you could see her drool that the lady said she would take out. I called the next day and asked for the corporate number and they told me there is none that I have to deal with them. The lady on the phone was very rude. My point is I I'm paying 25.00 a sheet for portraits, I think I deserve good portraits of my child. when you go to a studio your supposed to be able to pick and choose portraits. I had nothing I choose from. In m opinion, when they saw that the new girl was struggling, they should have got off their butts to help her. I never heard of a portrait studio not having any toys at all to distract a baby!!!!!!!!

Hi, gon I went to Picture People at the Chicago Ridge, IL location for my son's H.S. graduaadtion pictures. Everything was fine. I purchased the CD so I could print any other pictures that I may need in the future. A few weeks later which was last Friday I accidently got some glue on the 8 x 10 as I was storing it in plastic bag. I called the Picture People on Friday 5/25/12 and spoke with the manager. She told me I could come in and they would reprint it for me at no charge because I had already purchased the cd. When I went there today the mgr. Candice told me that she had to call the other mgr. to verify that it would be free. she called her and she said she never told me that. Why would she lie? I ended up paying half price $9 for the reprint eventhough it was printed from my cd that I purchased already. I felt this was terrible customer service. I would have gone elsewhere if i knew they would lie to me. it's not the about the $9 i am out. it is about how picture people treat their customers.. very disappointed... I am quite dismayed at the incompatibility between the dimensions of your products and the frames available in the market. Two weeks ago, I purchased a photo package of my two children. The pictures came out beautiful, however I was disappointed at the limited (very limited) choices in frames available at your studio, the only choices for 1 10x13 frame is either a black frame or a brown frame. Neither of which goes with the decor in our home, nor with the other frames we had previously purchased at The Picture People. Well, we figured that would not be a big deal, as surely there are plenty of frame choices out in the market today. Well, that proved to be a rather unsafe assumption. After searching high and low (Target, Macys's, JC Penney, Home Goods, Michael's, AC Moore, Sears, Bed Bath and Beyond, and about 10 more stores, not to mention endless online stores) it became abundantly clear that finding a matted frame for a 10 x 13 photograph in a choice that isn't black or brown would prove futile. We have driven everywhere, spent hours searching for a frame. And now our portrait sits in a large envelope. We spent all this money on these pictures that we cannot even display. Why can't the Picture People offer their portraits in dimensions that are compatible with the frames in the market? For example, a simple solution would be for the portraits to be offered in say an 11 x 14 dimension, as there are thousands of matted frames for that dimension. WHY 10 x 13? Who in their right mind comes up with a dimension that cannot be framed? I have been going to PP for over a decade, since my first child was born. Well, that will no longer be the case. Thank you for wasting my money and time.

I took my grandchildren to get their pictures taken and the photographer was terrible. First off when your dealing with toddlers it is difficult, what makes it worse is someone who doesn't know what or how to do their job. I hate that customer service is lacking in every industry but here it lacks a lot. There were no props used and I really think Walmart would have done better. Not one employee introduced themselves or even tried to act like they cared that we were there. I will NEVER go back unless there is a serious overhauling of the company and training for the employees. SAD...SAD...SAD.

Went to the picture people in chicago rige (illinois) I wish I could rate it no stars!!This is the worst place! They NEVER do anything right. I have taken my daughter there 4 (idiot I know.. But I thought maybe with a different photographer it would be better) already and each time they told me something wrong or "forgot" to upload the picture to the cd!!! Had to teturn on two separate occasions for them to upload the pics, even though we paid big money in the first place for it! This time was the last straw!! We went had OK pics taken, and as usual had to get the cd, because we cannot "throw out" pics of my baby! Jolene, the photographer, tells us the cd is half off (regular 150, but on sale for 75). So we jump on it!! We told her we wanted it, and then she tried to sell us more, where we declined. She left (who knows why) and came back telling us that the cd was no longer on sale and she was "misinformed". It had just been on sale, but no longer was for 75 but now 100. The manager comes over because now I'm furious the cost just jumped for no reason amd refuses to give it for that price! She said she will "give" it to us for 100... Wait.. Jolene said it was on sale for 100, now your telling us thats a LIE too?!? Your employee just told me it was half off!! She ended up leaving it at 100 but giving us two free sheets. But the POINT was not to get free stuff. It was that they were changing their stories constantly! Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere! These people are shady and their pgotographers are not that great either!

First off, you get one star because they don't give you the option to say NO STARS. This is the third or fourth time I've used PP and every time I think WHY!!?? For a corporation that says RIGHT ON THEIR WEBSITE... pictures in about an hour, you have got to be kidding me! First, you arrive on time for your scheduled session and WAIT at least an hour if not more. Second, the untrained staff rushes you through without completeing what you asked. Do they just hire kids and hand them a camera and say... SHOOT! I took my four year old to get holdiay/birthday pictures taken. I was asked from the start at checkin what kind of pictures I wanted. I said Holiday and birthday shots. She marked it down on their sheet. I get into the room and the camera girl says oh we have a gingerbread house, tree, candy canes. NONE of which I actually got to see. He was wearing black pants and she put him against a BLACK background. Now anyone who has had the pleasure of trying to get a child's picture taken, you know this can be hard. I was trying to get him to smile and do the poses she was asking, not worrying about the background. That is her job to know that you don't put a kid wearing black against a black background. Needless to say the pictures turned out horrible. He looked like a head floating against a black background. When I went back to ask them to either reprint after lightening them or give me another pose. They could not make them any better and would not give me another pose. HORRIBLE SERVICE, HORRIBLE CAMERA PEOPLE>.... JUST HORRIBLE. NEVER AGAIN... even if I had a coupon!

One star is a compliment for picture people. I imagine that a customer waiting nearly an hour and a half past their "scheduled reservation" must be some sort of company policy as everyone there shared my same complaint. This tells me that they see no value whatsoever in my time and merely want to scrape every last penny from your wallet. They were so behind schedule and overbooked that it made the experience a miserable one. We were told to arrive 10 minutes early to prepare for the shoot...what a joke. We will NEVER go back.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I agree with many of the comments I read and only wish I read them before my first trip to Picture People. The wait was ridiculous and the customer service and pictures were even worst. We received a gift card that I am still left with because after being rushed to select from a poor quality of pictures we decided not to go with any.

Picture People is managed and run by inexperienced, untrained teens (not the teens' fault). Profits from the sale of expensive photo packages are the name of their game. The studio is full of tired, cranky, crying babies and toddlers because their parents never expected to wait hours for their "scheduled" photo shoot. By the time you're finished with your shoot you will be pissed off from the "dog and pony show" you will have put on while trying to get your little ones to hang on for just a "few more minutes". Don't torture yourself or your little ones by scheduling a photo shoot with this very unprofessional studio.
