My son, a US Marine who just returned from deployment in Afghanistan, has booked a trip for his wife for their second anniversary, (He was on active duty at the time of his first anniversary) He saved the money for the trip and surprised his sweetie with a trip to the southern Caribbean. They looked into trip dates and airfares. The "cheapest" price for airline tickets was with Travelocity. They had looked at two possible dates of travel and decided on one, they booked the cruise and then booked the airlines. I was on the phone looking at the web site with them as they sat together looking at the same screen. They booked travel for July 25 (the second of the two dates they were looking at). We all read the flight numbers and the dates for the travel, however when they were setting up the check-in preliminaries with the cruise line they were notified that they dates on the airline tickets were for the week before their cruise, July 17(the first date plugged into the search engine). To this point all they have received is a run around. They have been transferred from one person to the next, and being told that there was not a way to contact corporate as suggested by Delta airlines. I am ASHAMED that TRAVELOCITY would treat ANYONE this way and especially SERVICE MEN who just spent a tour of duty putting his LIFE on the line for YOUR freedom. At this time I would have to say that you do not represent your on line statement. "That's why Travelocity Guarantees that everything about your booking will be right, or we'll work with our partners to make it right, right away. And that's why this guarantee means that we look out for you from the very moment you book with Travelocity." Unless this is resolved in a timely manner I will not use your services and will advise others to this end. I know my money is hard earned, as is most honest working people's money at this time in this country. I will be watching with interest and will keep a copy of this correspondence for further use. I rated Travelocity at 1 star only because there was no option for 0 stars.
I have experience the worst "customer service" ever ... been trying to resolve an issue since 4/26 and still nada. I've offered Member Services one more day ... then I'll have no choice but to contact corporate (however, from Mr. Steward's comment, that might be fruitless as well).
YOU SUCK!!! You people made a mistake in my bookings and are refusing to fix it so I called but I wasn't home to take the call so she said she'd call me back the next day, which would have been yesterday (Friday), and SHE DIDN'T CALL BACK!! NOT ONLY DO YOU MESS UP CUSTOMERS RESERVATIONS AND REFUSE TO FIX YOUR MISTAKES, BUT YOUR CORPORATE OFFICIALS LIE. YOU CAN REST ASSURED THAT I'M GOING TO GO ALL OUT TO DISCOURAGE EVERYONE I KNOW FROM USING TRAVELOCITY N THE FUTURE.
I discourage everyone from booking with Travelocity! They have lied to me, misrepresented their policy on trip changes/refunds/rescheduling and have been unwilling to work with me to find a solution to my problem despite my repeated efforts to work with them. Travelocity and its employees are not helpful and have actually worked to ensure that I lose the most amount of money possible on my trip by charging exorbitant penalties and fees after ensuring me that I was not subject to any penalties and fees. Such behavior must not be tolerated and must be punished. They will happily take your money, but if you have a problem, be ready to wait on hold for over an hour with someone from a call center in a foreign country whom you can barely understand and will not work to help you at all. They will merely recite their policy to you repeatedly until you hang up the phone in frustration. This is not right! Anyone affected by Travelocity's fraudulent business practices should seek a remedy in court.
