What happened to Stein Mart? I used to LOVE Stein Mart. I have shopped at Stein Mart almost exclusively since they arrived in North Houston, Texas on 1960. However, for about the past 4 years your buyers have absolutely deteriorated to teh point where I have not been able to find anything to buy. It has all become garbage. It seemed that you had the best buyers in the world up until about 4 years ago-- what on earth happened. I still go to your stores to buy something and I cannot find anything. In my opinion your current buyers must be buying most of their stuff from Ross and they must have lost their minds.

I love your store, but am so disgusted with this magazine program at check out. I continuously enter "no" and more than a few time overs the years these appear on my credit card. Steinmart - do us all a big favor & drop that program!!!

Love your stores but only get to visit them when I am in Melboourne, FL and Evansville, IN. Wish you would put one in Owensboro, KY where I live

Dear Stein mart and Associates: I am a consumer who really makes a decision based on Customer Service(first) it doesn't matter what the product is, if the Sale Associates is not professional, courtesy or at the very least, extend a greeting, than that store has lost my business. HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY I am, with Stein Mart's employee located at the Orlando East Colonial Drive location. I went into this store after seeing a friend of mine wearing a lovely dress that she purchased from Stein Marts- long story short. I happen to be in the area a couple days later near one of your stores and went to look for that same dress. I was approached by a warm smile and a welcome, by an employee name Ceres James. I explained to her what I was looking for and she'd remembered the dress right away and told me that the store had sold out of that dress months ago, but that perhaps another store "might" have it. Ms. James called every store in the Central area and they too, were out. She tried to locate the sku number of the item and was unable to do so. Ms. James went above and beyond to assist me with this item. Her attention to detail and the persistent to pursue my request was shocking to say the least. For, this type of Customer Service is hard to find now a days. Because, of Ms. James you have gained my Business as well as my friends and colleagues. I absolutely adore your stores! I'm located in Lynchburg, VA and have to drive 100 miles to Roanoke, VA in order to shop at SteinMart. I have also spent a lot of money in your store near Deerfield Beach in Florida on vacation. I wondered if you had any plans of opening a SteinMart in Lynchburg around the Rt. 29, Ward Road area? Liberty University is located here and have approximately 30,000+ students enrolled who would LOVE to spend money at your stores. I wish you would consider building one in Lynchburg, VA near the LU campus in the Wards Road vicinity. I'm sure it would be a winner by both the locals, as well as the LU students.
