I have spent over 2 hours on internet and 1 hour on the phone. All over a rebate even been to the store in person and get run around. Managers won't call back and Corporate that's a joke also. Part of the number is missing their fault but they can't help me I WON"T be going back. With all the bad reviews I read they may be on the way out someday also hopefully.
Poor business practices
Cannot contact manager in Enfield Ct store. No phone response from headquarters in Framingham. I guess I"ll drop by HQ with news media for free advertising. DON'T DO BUSINESS AT STAPLES
Laptop screen
I bought a laptop from your store about 8 months ago. I broke my screen so I went back to see how much for a new one I was told it would be 450.00 plus labor to instal it. The computer was 500.00 now what's wrong with this pitchure??? I went home very pissd off and went on the web and found business called laptopscreens.com called them and order on for 65.00 plus 3day shipping! It took me 5 min to instal the screen. You guys wanted a week or more for it to be fixed. Well after that deal ill never shop there agin what a rip off.i saved 400.00 and it was done in 3 days! The screen is perfect. Staples better get real! Iv told everybody I know about this site.
Customer Service
I just visited the Staples Store Arbor Trail in Austin,Texas. I have to say that was the worst customer service I have seen. No one at the service desk knew where any thing was and the manager on duty when I asked him where something was pointed to the isle. If thius is the way ya'll do business I'll drive a little further down the road to your competitors.

I had done my research for a few months on several brands and models of digital cameras. I went in with a shopping list of things I needed to get. The associate in North Conway, NH took the time to go around the store and help me find everything I was looking for...as I actually had quite a list.
Rewards
I received my staples rewards via e-mail which was to expire on 1-31-13. I went in that day to purchase ink cartrages and use my rewards. I was told that I could not use them because there was a sixteen digit number missing that was needed to enter it into the register, but they would accept the rewards up to fourteen days past expiration. On 2-7-13 I reprinted the rewards which showed numbers at the bottom and returned to the store for another purchase and was told that this was not the correct numbers. I again explained that this was all that staples had sent and was therefore all that I could print. I told them to forget it and I will never visit another staples.
Returning Laptop
I have always loved the staples in Tigard, Oregon. It is about a block up from an office depot yet I always go to staples because everyone is so nice. Today however, has changed my mind. My business requires me to go to Staples at least 1-2 times a week where I spend on average 175$ a week. I recently decided to buy my work laptop there. The laptop however was not functioning correctly. The computer technician told me to bring it back in. It was then I noticed they had given me the wrong computer I wanted the Acer 6MB for 799 and they gave me the 599 computer. However, I decided to keep the 599 computer. The salesman told me that I could do an even exchange. I said great so he then refunds my card for the computer and warranty I had purchased (he also told me I had been charged too much for the warranty). Then he went to ring the same computer back on my card. I asked him what he was doing since the refund wouldn't clear my card for at least a few days. The manager then came over and said that I should use another card to purchase the same computer and warranty. I told him no way I only have one business card to use, he suggested I use my own card. This is ridiculous. I grabbed my refund receipt and left. To sum it up Staples sold me the wrong laptop (which they admitted too they said they had the wrong card out under the laptops on display) charged me too much for the warranty (which they admitted too) then ran an even exchange yet tried to charge my card again. The manager was no help. I now have to go a few days without a computer at work and wasted an hour out of my day. I will not be going back to staples. I will buy office supplies Office Depot and will purchase my laptop elsewhere. Staples completely lost me as a fan.
won't honor warranty
I have a two year warranty on an Epson printer and Staples will not honor it. I called the corporate office and all I got was hangups...connected to a an endless wait...and total nothingness. This is the worst ever. I will take this to a small claims court and contact local consumer advocates on TV stations here as well as file a formal complaint with the Attorney General of the State for consumer fraud.
Need to make a complaint and call corporate customer service after being on hold for 10 minutes- hung up called back held for 15 minutes. Reach a young man who didnot care that the service was so poor.

The voice mail for "Prompt service" is lousy. You need to do better, and be honest about it.

Rebate
I been waiting eight (8) weeks for a rebate that was suppose to take between 4 - 6 weeks. I have call the rebate center twice and have gotten poor support from the center. All I can say is that the rebate center is full of incompetent people. I will not be buying or visting a staple store again.
Laptop
I bought a HP laptop before Christmas. It had some crazy moves in Windows 8 system.At first computer tec. thought it was windows 8 after taking it back 2nd time he seen it and said computer was bad .He didn't have another HP like one I had and I needed it to do some work on computer. I ended up exchanging for Samsung with more ram for what I thought was good price. I give Staples 5 thumbs up.
Computer repair
Staples in Palatka Florida had my computer for 2 months after they so call repaired it I did not get my old parts back after having it upgraded (which I bought) and I was overcharged. My info was in their hands, you just cannot trust people anymore. Now I have to filed a claim against them because when I call they place me on hold and say can we call you back because we are very busy at the moment. Well they can speak to my rep. and I want my parts back that holds my personal info. ASAP.
Management
Staples has gone to the bottom. They have District Managers that are lazy, hire managers and keep them even when they are caught doing inappropriate / illegal things, not to mention not showing up for work! They don't promote/hire from within! Training has become obsolete. At one time Staples was the highest office supply company, now they are sinking - fast. The employee morale is terrible and everyone I tallk with is looking for another job. Why has a company as good as Staples allowed this to happen? CLEAN HOUSE and get the dead weight out!!!

i used the copy and print and i realized that my local print shop is much needed. why, because when the operator swipped my debit and re swipped it i was double charged. the timely manner to refunding my money was so not worth there work. local and i would not have been without funds nor work. saying good bye to staples copy and print.

do not buy from staples
i ordered a acer google chrome book and it was suppose to be delivered to the store on 12/14/12.i called the store and was told that it would be delivered between 5:00 and 5:30 that evening.i did not hear from them so i called them on 12/16/12 and the person i spoke with placed me on hold were i was bounced around to different people just to end up talking to the same person i originaly talked to who did not even have my first name correct,she then placed me on hold again.this time while on hold i was hung up on.i called back and was placed on hold again,when she talked to me this time i was informed that it was probably locked up and she could not check on it, her supervisor would have to be the ond to check and she was busy and would call me back.when i spoke to her supervisor (courtney),she told me it was not in yet and it will probably be in monday after 6:00 pm because that is when they get there deliveries in.they cant even get there deliver times straight.when i told her about the problems i was having being on hold she informed me that the customers in the store take precedent over people on the phone.that made me feel like i was unimportant even tho i had already bought and PAID FOR AN ITEM and you cant take time to check on an order for me.this will be my last time ever shopping at staples and i hope this review stops other people from being treated the way i have been treated!!! so please do not shop at the staples in forsyth il.
Awful Service in Shelton, CT
Bought a computer in March, 2012 and was misled into believing they would be able to repair said computer in-house and it would not need to be shipped to manufacturer. This was a major consideration in our decision to purchase at Staples. Eight months later we found that this was not the case. The computer had to be shipped back to manufacturer because technician was unable to fix it. Store kept computer six days before telling us this. During these six days, we had to contiuously call them because they refused to return calls. Based on our experience, their "EASY" ad campaign is not accurate. WE WILL NOT REUTN!
I recently bought a Nexus tablet with a service plan. Thirty days later the unit failed to power on ... surprise ... the plan kicks in only after the manufacturers warrantee runs out. Contrary to what the sales rep said and what their brochure says. Three weeks out for repairs. Seventy dollars flushed. Totally ripped off.
