Store on Dorchester rd is probably the worst run business I have ever. Encountered in my 57 years in the charleston area. I even left my number twice for the GM to call me and never got a call back
The sonic store on O'Connor, in san antonio,tx needs a new manager and some crew as well, very very bad customer service, wont answer the phone for a long time, then just answers in a grumbled voice some name you. Ant understand, then ask for a manager. And they say noithing on hold for 13 minuiet, hang up and try again same thing. Thanks for taking the time to read this email!
I went to the Godfrey, Illinois Sonic where I witnessed an employee smoking pot on the patio during business hours. I was shocked that the manager let it happened and to my surprise the manager let it happen because he then came out and was smoking it with the other male employee!
Your food is getting smaller and your prices are staying the same or going up.I think today is my last day I ever stop there again
I visit Sonic all the time, today..... they took 20minutes to bring our drinks And they did not care. We live in Victoria, Texas...... who do I complain to....there is no Phone number, heads up everyone it is the location on johnstockbauer.
Dont go to Sonic in Dublin Ga, they are all on drugs. Its a Drug hole and will be contacting the Local Police to let them know...ALL EMPLOYEES NEED TO BE TESTED ASAP!!!
I recently visited the Pauls Valley Oklahoma Sonic by the interstate. Pauls Valley has two locations. So early one morning I pulled in for a couple of drinks and handed the guy a $20.00, he was slow about getting the drinks and I was the only customer. That kind of drew my attention. Once he got the drinks he stared at the ticket for a few minutes longer than I thought a senior employee/manager should. He took my money, handed me the drinks, counted my change back and slammed the window. I was already on to him; he had short changed me by $10.00. I continued to sit at the window waiting for him to come see what I wanted. He kept giving ever so slight glances my way to see if I had left yet. When it became apparent to him I was not leaving he opened the window, and reached in the cash register almost simultaneously and handed me the $10.00. It was so blatant, the 12 year old I had with me made the statement that he had tried to rip us off. Get this....I mentioned the episode to a couple of the carhops that work there and they knew immediately what had happened. Come to find out the young carhops think he and his sister who works there are ripping them off. Every day the manager and his sister take the carhop's money to the backroom to count it. Only the manager and his sister count the money. The carhops are not allowed to be present. The two then tell the workers they are short and have to pay up. It is my understanding that the carhops and manager are supposed to count the money together. Can any carhops enlighten me on the correct procedure to count the daily cash?
I am a little surprised by all the rude comments, then again, as a former employee of two Sonics, one in Newport News, Va and the other in Madison Heights, Va I am also not surprised to hear about this. The workers are treated very poorly, the pay was horrible at one store, and somewhat better at the next, but at both stores, the overall treatment of the employees was horrible. The managers were rude, demeaned their workers, demanded they claim tips when they were servers, whether they made them or not, and there was often very little care of food preperation. My biggest complaint is that now, it is very difficult to find the numbers for corporate so I can get my W-2. Sadly Sonic is supposed to be a pleasant place to eat/work, and though I eat there on occasion, I am never surprised when my food or drink item is messed up. I've been surved some of the cheese sticks that were still cold, like they had been dipped in the fryer and then picked back up maybe 20 seconds later...that is unnacceptable.
Local small town Sonic usually gets my order wrong, overcharges, and then is unable to refund. The most common response is, "I am sorry, that is just way it comes out when I put in the the register. I can't do anything about it." Really? Too complicated for you? Kids......Jeesh. I think I will stick to sit- down eateries.
Be totally aware of getting hired. I went on an interview was offered the job as first assistant. $10.00 plus bonus. Did paper work. Was given a day to start. Was worried about volume of $150.000.00 a day. Went back to investagate and found out that was the most in a month. OK. When I went to the interview the owner/operator told me that he fired the last first because he closed the Sonic early. OK............. Then while I was there he totally berated his son and was horrible to him. I ask him how he would treat me if something went wrong. And he said that "Well, one must have thick skin, this is what these kids need. They respond to yelling like a parent. The sweet voice, can you get me the fries does not work. I then got a call that his owner partner had hired a first and he did not know it two days before he hired me. So he offered me an assistant. I was very confused as he babbled from $7.25 to $8.00 to $9.00. I never had a good feeling about this organization. I called Lee for the start date of my employement. He told me that he wanted to get everyone together in a meeting the next day and to call him back if he did not call me at 6pm. I called and Jessica told me he was out of the building. I just had that gut feeling, you know the one you get from that embicial cord to God that something was not right. He called me at around 8 pm asking why I did not call. I told him I did and did not leave a message as he has a restaurant to run and when he would call me would possibly be a time that he was not busy. He did call me and I told him I would not work there. PLEASE PLEASE Watch working for them. The owner operators are all about the bottom line for their bonus. They want the best of the best, don't want to pay anything. I also saw in a short amount of time that it is a swinging door. If you give up a job to work for them they use that. BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE CAREFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
I have eaten at several Sonic locations and enjoyed the food and service I received. However, my many experiences with the Sonics in Bloomfield and Dexter, Missouri have seldom been enjoyable. No matter how small the order, there is a long wait, You soon learn to thoroughly check your order because they are frequently wrong, and this is after they repeat your order back to you. But the crowning incident was after your new beef hot dog promotion started. I LOVE CHICAGO STYLE HOT DOGS. The first order of the Chicago Style Hot Dog was great. The next time I ordered the same item. It was horrible. The hot dog was smaller, the hot dog was cold (not even room temperature), and the top of the hot dog was so saturated in mustard that it was disgusting. The next time I ordered, the sandwich appeared better, but the preparer forgot part of the items, mustard (they must have used all they had on the one I purchased a few days earlier) and peppers. I give up, no more food at Sonic. HOWEVER, your "Drink Menu" is fantastic, as are the Happy Hour prices.
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease open a Sonic in the Beaver Falls, PA 15010 area!!!! The food is FANTASTIC! My family and I have eaten at the Myrtle Beach location and also the Craberry/ Wexford location and were completely satisfied!!! The problem is these are too far away from where we live just to run out to get diner. Chippewa would be a GREAT location!! Also there is a nearly vacant shopping center on Rt. 18 in Beaver Falls! Only a movie Theater on this property. It has a nice size parking lot as well. Just PERFECT for a Sonic!!!!There is another lot 1/2 mlie away near a few motels. Huge lot. Old skating rink. Tracy Ps. If you are coming to the area, there is a Holiday Inn less than a mile from this lot and I would be more than happy to help out! Noooo I'm not a realtor...just a BIG SONIC LOVER!!! lol Have a great day:)
Where is this nation going? The sonic restaurant looked liked it had not been cleaned in months. Well, they finally decided to clean it while I was waiting for my order. Some employee brings out a power washer and starts blasting the food preparation area like he was washing his car. Filth was flying everywhere and make a misty cloud that was settling on the food being prepared as well as the hands of the workers. Disgusting. Do they think they are working at the local dog pound or zoo? At least those folks remove the animals from the area being cleaned. I guess we now know what goes into the special sauce. Never again. Blame it on the management, blame it on laziness, but most of all blame it on a culture that has an entitlement attitude - you owe me a check, I'm pissed off that I have to work and so I am going to take my anger out on my employer and the customers. Don't like what you see? Just give me the check, leave me alone, and shut up - can't you see I'm on my cell phone?
The Sonic franchise will fail. there may be good stores out there but overall they are failing miserably in how they treat their employees. Michelle Lunsford of Lawrenceburg, Ky is an example of an awful general manager. Anyone who speaks to me of sonic will hear of her ignorance and general unfairness toward her employees.
Can you please build a sonic in kailua-kona hawaii :]
Wow. I was online trying to find out when the Sonic in Kent, WA was going to be built because we've been to both the Puyallup and Bonney Lake one and they are FANTASTIC! I'm absolutely amazed at all these bad reviews!! We feel its a real treat when we're out in the area to stop because even though they have really long lines - it's been TOTALLY worth it! My husband and I believe Sonic to be one of the very best fast food/drive-in places around here! Thank you for all that you do and hopefully others will have the great experiences we've had there!! TRY THE ONES OUT IN WA WHEN YOU HAVE A CHANCE! Thanks!
At the Sonic at 1201 S. Bowen Arlington, Texas 76013, the guy who takes the orders at night does like to play with peoples orders and if someone finally says something about it they mess up the food. What they just did to me ,sunday 2-27=2011 is they salted my super sonic cheesebuger heavily so I can't eat it. Five dollars wasted of my money for their laughs. And he screwed up other things because he thinks it's cool to treat paying customers like that. Why can't Sonic hire people that actually appreciate having a job instead of some stupid clown?
Just to let you know. The people working at sonic on highway 18 in wilkesboro north Carolina stay behind the building smoking pot and drinking the whole time. Fuck sonic and their stupid employees. Plus the food always taste like crap. It makes me so mad. Please do something about this before the law is called...by me!!!!!!
This woman that is the Manager at the sonic in Hutchinson Ks. on 4th street is a NASTY boss. She give free food to her family when they come in and if an employee calls in sick she is VERY rude to them. I know someone that has been there for almost a year and this girl has called in 2 times and that was an act of congress, but she is just a VERY rude woman to all of her employees. In my oppinion she is a worthless manager.
The job listings only have store numbers with no addresses. How is a person supposed to know if the store is even located near them?
