Ponderosa Steak House Corporate Office & Headquarters

My wife, daughter, and myself are regulars at the Altoona, Pa. restaurant. They are fans of the grilled shrimp and I have long felt Ponderosa has the best fried chicken in town. In fact, I have ordered their chicken in mass for parties and heard many compliments on it. During my last 2 trips to the restaurant, they have apparently changed their menu and now only include dark meat on the buffet. I have made 3 trips to the buffet each visit in search of white meat in vain. I kept my eye open for a manager today and never saw one. Very disappointing--we will not be back.

I have to say the food and waitstaff was very good BUT, the cashier and assistant manager left a little to be desired. We ordered our food and I told the cashier I had a 20% off coupon card. She gave me a look and said let me see it. Ma'am you can use this on his order(my son) but not the 2 fer deal. Ok that was fine with me. So I said well I can use this on our drinks then also. Then it was a disaster she was upset with me and said I could not have two discounts on one check. I asked her to ring them up separately. She did not smile nor did she say thank you enjoy your meal. To me that is very POOR customer service. The assistant manager was standing beside her the entire time and did not say a word. My discount card does not say it cannot be used with any other offer so therefore I feel that I should of gotten 20% off entire bill. That is what the card says. She told me the sign for the 2 fer specials says that at the bottom. I'm sorry I am not lying on the floor of your restaurant to read the fine print. If your company is not going to accept the discount cards on all purchases than it should say so. The card says "20% of total bill." We go to Old Country and they are cheerful and willing to give any discount we have a coupon for, that is customer service. Will we return?, I cannot answer that question. Will we share our experience with others? Yes we will. Very disatisfied with the customer service

My son wife and I visisted the Ponderosa steak house in Altoona Pa store number 5 Park Hills Plaza. 814 946 4066 on Sunday May 2nd about 2pm. We live in York Pa we thought we would get a nice meal during our visit in Altoona. We ordered the steak and buffet and a drink which cost us 36.64. total. We went to the salad bar and the lettuce didn't look too good. We received our steaks, I ordered a 10 oz when it came, I sent it back because it was very dry. I Had no problem waiting for another. I used the rest room and it was very dirty and the toilet paper was all over the floor around the toilet. I havent seen a rest room in this bad of shape ever, dont even want to know when it was cleaned last? I got my steak back and was rare and to thick to even eat. I ate my potato and we left.(didnt even have a to go box gave us 2pcs of foil and a plastic bag. WOW. Just thought I would advise you of the situation to make your establishments better. I really hate to cmpalin on this restaurnat but it isn't like the ponderosa chain to be like this. Thank You Mark Hochberger 1519 Second Ave York, PA 17403

Something needs to be done about management at massena ponderosa. This morning they were screaming at an employee out back of the building. We could here her trying to explain something but was not allowed to get her voice heard. We know this employee through coming to this restaurant. pleasant lady, at least from what we've seen. We come here 3 or 4 times a week and from what little bit we see of management we don't like how they treat employees there.
