The counter people don't ask for Panera Bread card to give you credit for your purchase and they any hear what they what to hear when you tell your order and that this is to go!
Constructive criticism. Today I showed a manager at the Paramus Park NJ.my coffee which had specs (coffee grounds) in it.she acknowledged, seeing them, but didn't address the problem. She offered me an empty cup.Didn't ask which urn nor even act concerned. Coffee urn continued to be used by other customers. Secondly tables were unclean and never wiped for the entire time that I was having my breakfast. Please give give this matter your immediate attention. Thank you. James C
On Friday July 29 I went to Panera bread on Algonquin road in Rolling Meadows Il and their soda machine was broken, there was a note on the door telling of the problem and that they have bottled pop. When we placed our order and ordered one Pepsi they charged us for 2 because the cashier said the bottle of pepsi was like getting 2 cups of soda (the bottle of Pepsi all fit in one cup when I poured it into the provided cup. This was pathetic and I feel slighted by panera, I am a long time customer but will not be visiting Panera anymore and will be telling all my friends. Good job Panera
I took my 14 year old granddaughter out to linch today at the Panera Bread location in the Oakleaf Plantation in Orange Park Florida. That's nice, right? Well, we both ordered salads and I ordered a cup of baked potato soup. When my soup arrived, it looked like mashed potatoes. It was tasty, luke warm, but thick as molasses. When I inquired as to why the "soup" resembled mashed potatoes, I was told it was "yesterday's runoff" WHAT!!!! Leftover soup? The girl explained they only make potato soup on Monday, Wednesday and Frida and here it was Thursday. They asked if I wanted another bowl and I said no. The waitress bought me another bowl of freshly made, steaming hot potato soup. My granddaughter and I were both finished with our salads and ready to leave. It so happenes I wasn't charged for the soup and the superviser apologized and offered us a pastry. The meal alone cost $18.00. I think this is horrble and I won't ever darken the doors of that particular store again. I must add this, someone told us that the Oakleaf Plantation Panera never gets their order straight. I'm thinking someone needs to visit this location and perhaps rattles some pots and pans...if you get my drift!!! Thank you for your time. Sincerly, Linda Jones
I recently visited the Danvers Massachusetts Panera Bread. The cashier was very kind. As I looked for a seat I saw that the tables and dining area was very dirty. I asked the cashier if I could have a wet towel to wash off the table. She said she would send a worker over to do it for me. No worker was sent. I started to get annoyed because my food was ready and I wanted to sit down. i asked again for a towel, she said she would send someone over. I then asked for the manager because i felt that the restaurant shouldn't be so dirty and I wanted to express my objections to the conditions. the manager came out from back and i said..."Are you managing this place? I have to say....I can't believe how dirty it is. I asked to have the tabl washed off but no one would come over and wash it. Can i have the district manager's name?" She gave me his card: Bob Hazelton is his name...978-646-9942. As I took the card, I said to the manager, "You should be ashamed of your managerial skills to allow this place to look like this...ashamed." She said..."you should be ashamed too" And she walked away into the back room. I could not believe how rude and unprofessional she was. She was the manager on duty at 4pm on 7-17-2011. She wouldn't give me her name. I will never go back there again. With so many people unemployed in the area, she should thank her lucky stars that she has a job to begin with. She should be fired in my opinion. I hope someone does something about this.
I went to a panera in des plaines, IL. I walked into the ladies washroom where I saw a female employee walk out of a stall blowing her nose. She did not wash her hands before walking out of the washroom. I walked out and saw her putting her apron on and going to work with the food. I tracked down the manager and let him know the situation. He said it was nasty and said sorry and walked away. Although I did see him approach the employee I never saw her go wash her hands!! Had the manager acted a little more concerned about the situation and made her wash her hands they would have saved a customer. I will never go there again!! Someone can get sick from that kind of stuff!!
Panera bread, worked here for 5 years. Lexington KY market, As a baker. The job is wonderful and all managers during the day are also wonderful. But the management at night is horrible. There a rude bunch of people, and think they are better then everyone. Jenelle, and DK they want respect because they think they should just be handed it. But they don't respect everyone else around them. They walk in to a cafe and just complain, cant say one nice thing. The kids here in Lexington bust there ass every day, baking, and cleaning. But still they cant say one nice thing.
Why not call this site another name then maybe i want corp head and i would think thats what most want when they click on this site.
I love Panera Bread, but the worst thing that I have ever eaten is the Lobster sandwich, OH my God it made me throw up, all claw meat, the look is disgusting and the taste is worst, could not finish my half of sandwich. I had it as a take out, what a mistake.
The food is excellent. My beef is I'm the fact that you can not purchase what you wantwithout being forced to purchase other items, also. I requested a half grilled chicken ceasar salad and was told I would have to purchase a sandwich or soup I wasn't that hungry and resented having food forced upon me
I was terminated from the del paso store in Sacramento, ca because of an "unacceptable close". The reasons were over things I had never been instructed to do, and this was the second time ibclosed myself. The closing manager even checked the line and didnt have any cause for complaint. To make matters worse, i had to find out by calling to ask about my shift, and being told by the gm, kristen Collins, to come in, where she then terminated. No common decency of a phone call. And the cherry on the cake was not receiving a final check, but a cash card that has no money available for three days, and was supposed to be optional. The staff is amazing and I love them all, but it seems to me thatvthe only competent manager there is Amy. Just a thought.
I just want to say that your panera out here in Corona, CA needs better management or more so a new general manager (Shervin). First off she is very rude!! And allows one particular employee to work off the clock. She also issued him a void card and it is as if he thought he were the king because he doesnt do his job only goes around trying to boss around the other employees. He makes himself free food and takes breaks when he pleases. I have witnessed him bossing the employees around several times and it is time you guys put an end to it.

I have been a loyal customer for years UNTIL two things: Most importantly, Panera Bread takes "dead peasant" policies out on its employees. That means that when an employee dies while employed, or even LEAVES panera and dies, Panera has made itself the beneficiary of life insurance policies on its employees. So it used to be that when an employee left or died, the company would simply hired a replacement. But in this time of EXTREME GREED, instead they cash in on benefits that family members have no claim to. Nice huh? The ultimate in greed and unethical behaviour. SHAME ON PANERA AND ALL OTHER COMPANIES THAT TAKE OUT THESE POLICIES. Don't believe me? Look it up yourself! Second, but not most importantly, the high calorie and fat content of the food and drinks was limiting what I could purchase.
Well, for starters, I'm sixteen, and I go to Panera every three or four days. In the past I enjoyed the atmosphere, the fire, and everything. It was a good place to eat. But now, it seems to be lacking both food quality and atmosphere, people crowd the restaurant making in an unpleasant place to eat, and the service is lousy. I still eat here though, because you can't get an Italian Combo anywhere else, but something about it seems to have changed, the cheese seems, well stiffer, and the meat just seems mushy and tasteless. I would rather you upped your prices then down the quality, and for those people on here asking for a discount, I disagree, your prices may seem outrageous but truthfully they aren't that bad. I would continue, and turn this into more of a diatribe, but my final statement is that the Lady of Panera has lost her seraphic beauty.
I have turned in my Panera card several times, only to be told on my last visit that was not registered and given a card to email you at www.mypanera.com. I tried several times to add my username (email address) which was already there and my password but it kept flipping off, telling me they were incorrect. If my user name was incorrect, how did it appear there correctly? I had been told that none of my visits, giving my card, had counted because I was not signed up. I have no idea how to sign up since your site keeps telling me I am wrong, though having my correct name. My email address is na_evins@att.net and I would like to have some explanation or help in being registered. I like your restaurant but am getting annoyed.
I WENT TO THE ONE IN DEARBORN WITH A FRIEND OF MINE AND HER TWO KIDS. A LADY WORKING THERE WAS SO UNBELIVABLY RUDE. I BROUGHT MY FRIEND THERE BECAUSE SHE IS BARELY MAKING IT AND IS STRUGGLING WITH TWO KIDS. THE EMPLOYEE TOLD MY FRIEND THAT SHE HAS TO COLLECT $22 WHEN THE MEAL WAS $25. MY FRIEND WAS SO EMBARASSED BECAUSE SHE ONLY HAD $20 THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO LAST HER UNTIL THE END OF THE WEEK. I WAS SO ANGRY BECAUSE THE LADY WAS SOO RUDE! SHE WASNT SUPPOSE TO DO THAT. WHEN MY FRIEND CAME TO PUT THE MONEY IN THE BOX SHE YELLED AT HER AT TOLD HER IS THAT 22DOLLARS! THE EMPLOYEE SAID THAT SHE GOT 4ENTREES AND CAN ONLY DISCOUNT HER ON 1. I AM SOO MAD! MY FRIEND WAS EMBARASSED RIGHT INFRONT OF HER KIDS AND IT KILLED HER. THE LADY THAT WAS SO RUDE WORKS IN THE DEARBORN ONE AND HER NAME IS JANICE. IM DEEPLY SADDENED
I went to the Panera Bread in Milbrae Ca today and had questions about the menu... A sandwich along with a cup of tomato soup was pictured in the illustration... I had asked the employee at the register for the cost of the item in question he did not know after a series of attempts he summoned the manager. She mentioned the above item in question could be a whole sandwich no soup or a different kind of soup and i mentioned once more to her, how much was the item in question .... finally, she told me it was 8.69.....SHe never appologized to me and just stared at me with a blank face.... I ask as a company where are your manangement skills in being able to assist a customer and taking time to explain it to them as well as appologizing for any miscommunication the menu may have presented.... After, when I left, i swore to myself never to patronize your restaurant again and to let others know my horrible experience with Panera Bread
