Match ... Ha Ha
First, I am idiot for giving this "company" $50. OK .. that out of the way... Just don't.. The minute you log on to the site, Instant Message's pop up from either people wanting to "sext" or people who want to come to America, or people who want to be sent money. I am sure men get it just as much as women. I cancelled my "subscription".. and now I am going to wipe my 'puter .. then take a shower... Just don't.
Match.com supports harrasment via Facebook
I keep getting ads from match.com targeted at me because I haven't indicated what my marital status is on FB. I can't hide these ads, comment on them or report them as spam. They also send me "our time ads" which is for people over 50...which I am not. Shame on you match.com!!!!!
Chargeback Options
Everyone that is having an issue receiving refunds from Match.com should immediately contact their credit card company and issue a chargeback to dispute the charges. Companies such as Visa will only allow a limited percentage of disputes before issuing that company penalties in the form of fees.
Is this star rating supposed to be for this site or for Match.com, because if it is for Match.com they need to get a negative number. I am at my wits end to know what to do. A couple of months ago I had pictures that I have on my computer of a friend that were sent to me me a long time ago, started popping up on profiles on Match.com. I had wrote report of concern one right after another for quite awhile and they finally stopped using the pics for a few weeks and I just now today found another profile on Match.com using two of the stolen pics. The pictures were either hacked from my computer or from my friends. A total of 8 pictures were taken and scammers have used them all. Its possible that pictures of my self are getting used some where. I thought identity theft was supposed to be illegal! Match.com does not seem to care, as I have seen numerous other mens pictures on the site used repeatedly. They will use the same pics and profile about me and who I am looking for information and the people at match do not seem to notice. I guess all they care about is that they get there fee for the months subscription.
Match.Com has crossed the line with me and I will be retaining counsel and consider putting together a class action suit. They own OUR TIME, for which I did sign up and without my permission, have used my pictures and profile with still another site they run and own. Did you ever notice that Match.com ads come in your face when you are navigating OUR TIME. I sincerely believe that a call to Dr. Phil, Sixty Minutes for starters is appropriate.
I have been trying to contact them for days but their email send button doesnt work. I am so happy not to have signed up after reading these terrible reviews. I know something was fishy when I read about being automatically renewed and not being able to get a phone number or send them an email. Saved by these reviews. Thank you.
Match Com, L P Corporate Office | Headquarters 8300 Douglas Ave.,Ste. 800 Dallas, TX 75225 (214)576-9352 I rate 5 stars to what I recall of advertisements on the television of Match.com's idea to bring people together at local or national events. However, advertisements, posting faces of uninvited strangers, have showed up for months on my email account. In my opinion, these advertisements lack professionalism, and I have wondered if these are even authorized by Match.com. Thank you. planetblues@rocketmail.com, Saturday, September 15, 2012
Never join match. It's a SCAM. They have your money and don't care. I signed up for 6 months free. If you didn't find anyone within 6 months, next 6 months free. My cc was charged the 6 next months free, because I didn't send at least 5 emails a month. Would have done that, but was not informed. Policy unclear. Now I'm out $156.00. That's alot of money in this economy.
Well, I browsing on a 3 x 1 deal they offer to me, when they just charge me, without asking me anything. No, continue or accept charges questions. Ouch. That what I call bad businesses. Good by M.com.
Terrible customer service, Not easy to cancel online and outdated bogus policies for refunds, No one in "customer relations" will share their name? - Or tell you who is in charge. Will not refund first day of auto renewal - have a limit? I'm filing A BBB complaint. Take a lesson from Zappos or a real company about what customer service is.
I have had a problem with not being able to up load photos or re-write my profile since I subscribed in July 2012 I have called the techs and supervisor at least 6 times to hear a lot of double talk and no resaloutions or resolving there glitches with their sight, I have been told something was wrong with my java, my internet explorer, I am on another dating that reqiures java and have updated and uploaded new pictures and can up date profile match techs are saying there is some thing wrong with my java, I have heard nothing but double took and no fix, I spoke with a supervisor that didnt do any good. I had my computer checked out by professionals and nothing wrong with it I am very angry at the poor service and wasting money on something that I cant use
I keep reading about all of these rebelling scams with Match.com. There is a Paypal option, and if you pay through Paypal, the cancelation is up to you, and you can cancel from Paypal's subscription section and Paypal cancels the subscription, not Match.com, so if you use Paypal, Match.com has no say in the matter, so you should be able to able to cancel no matter what Match.com wants.
Worst customer service. Won't refund anything!!!! I filed BBB complaint.
My daughter signed up for 3 months. Her profile is simple. Her deal breaker is no kids. 90% of the matches have kids.. None of the matches would work for her or the match. I agree Match is a scam.. I hope every one meets their match in life any other way..
This company has the worst customer service and just scammed me because of THEIR technical problem. I joined and paid $60 for 3 months service. After one day of logging on and making a contact all of a sudden I wasn't able to log into my account. I talked to 5 reps in a two and a half week time frame. They kept telling me it was a tech problem and to give them 48 hours. After over three hours of being on the phone with them and the problem never being resolved I told them I wanted a refund and to cancel any automatic renewal. They told me they couldn't give me a refund because I had used the service, WHAT!!! One day and can't use it because of their problem. Then the rep wanted to know banking info. and my ss# hmmm...wonder what his intentions were for that info. Obviously didn't give it to him and asked for a supervisor. After yelling and sticking to my guns they gave me $24 back. No apology from them. To me it was just a scam...they took my money and then never let me use the service and bever cared enough to make it right. I'll be contacting the BBB for sure!
Today I was encouraged by Match.com customer service to LIE on my profile. First it was suggested that I remove my Non Smoker dealbreaker. I wrote back that this was ridiculous advice. They responded that they made a mistake, and instead I should not check that I have kids who sometimes live with me. I do. My next email is to the media!
Please do yourself a favor and stay away from Match.Com. They are a total SCAM!! They bill your account without notifying you. No proration of your bill, even if you’re only 9 days into 90 days of service. Management needs to read the customer's complaints and blogs. This company needs to understand that without customer's it will no longer be in business.
Match.com has very deceptive business practices. The 6 month guarantee terms don't tell you what you need to do to take advantage of it until the fine print near the very end of a long and boring legal narrative. There is no way to contact the company given when you click on contact on their website. The auto renew policy is very hard to get out of unless you mark your calendar and remember to cancel within the narrow window where this is allowed. Of course they hope you will cancel early and not get the service you paid for.
I had a paid 6 month membership because of your guarantee and I have not met anyone or have made a match, and now my account is closed and I should of been renewed with the guarantee that was offered at the time I purchased my account. And when I purchased my account, I wanted a 1 month trial, but was charged for 6 months, so I went with it because of the guarantee, and now I can't access my account, and when I called customer service, I was told I would have to pay again...what kind of guarantee is this when I don't receive what they promise they can provide, and when not provided, they automatically tried to charge my credit card again for another 6 months, and I have contacted customer service several times without getting this resolved, and representatives telling me they need me to pay for another 6 months. I agree, a class action suit should be filed against this company if they can't honor the guarantee they advertise.
Been a Match.com member for well over a year and it was just one bad experience after another. Nothing but Scams with half the profiles are phony and what was just as bad is the horrible customer support that just don't care and are just rude and miserable customer reps. BEWARE !!! of Match.com. Its just one huge Ripoff. Save your $$$
