i just bought a kirby and i hate it...The stupied thing does not work on my carpet in my room.....than i call to give it back to them and the guy told me he was going to tell everyone how my credit is. how rude of him. so just to let everyone know not to buy one cause you can not give it back u only have three days to give it back to them how in the hell do u know if u are going to like it in three days.

My boyfriend has been working for Kirby for about a month now. Kirby is a scam. They had him knocking on doors here in OKC, had him go on a trip to Kansas at 4 in the morning, told him he was getting paid $350 a week plus commission for selling the vacuums and doing demonstrations. At the end of all this time and work he put in, he walked away with making only $30 the whole month.......Kirby is a scam and a disgrace and I am definitely contacting the news and Better business bureau for this nonsense!!!

We got a call saying that we "won a free carpet shampoo." I asked if they were going to try to sell me something and was told that they weren't selling anything - I had won a prize for completing a survey. When they "cleaners" arrived, we saw that they were actually Kirby dealers. We told them that we already owned a Kirby and that we were not interested in purchasing anything and that we were upset that we were lied to on the phone when we agreed to have them in our home. Since "Darrell" had dropped "Heath" and "Derek" off at our house and they didn't have a way home, we tried hard to be polite to them. BIG MISTAKE!!! Three hours later, we had those white pads spread all of over our house and could not get those creeps to get out of our house. DO NOT LET THEM IN!! They will not leave and do not shampoo your carpet until you agree to buy a $2,800 vacuum. If my husband hadn't been so polite, I would have tossed that stupid Kirby out the door!

Same situation here! I did what I was suppose to do, why can't they? I purchased the Kirby and then decided I really didn't need it. They picked up the Kirby on 5/3/11 and I still don't have my money back. Two weeks ago she said it was mailed and now she won't answer my phone calls or call me back. I call and leave messages atleast 6 - 7 times a day. Total scammers! My mother loves her Kirby and I liked it too. These people, L. Hill Enterprise in Liverpool NY are ruining the name. I guess I will have to file a small claims report.

I am seeing a pattern here, Kirby! You can tell us consumers (YOUR customers) it is the FAULT of the independent dealers and how they handle the "sale". However, they are representing YOUR name!!!!!!!!!! It is KIRBY'S responsibility to take ownership of how their product and name is being used. Standards, laws, training and strict guidelines need to be put on these dealers so not to tarnish your good name, that you worked so hard for so many years to achieve. Same experience as MULTIPLE others. Typical lead guy misrepresents they are "for today only" doing a cleaning of a room or piece of furniture for free....sure, too good to be true! Two other guys come in, ramble, high energy, one leaves, the other starts in about my carpets and not focusing on my son's sofa, (the reason we let them in the door). Long story short, NEVER cleaned my son's sofa, ONLY threw around these dust pads and low and behold!!!! It's a Kirby sales pitch! All day he rambled and wouldn't leave. I would have bought the machine, we are looking to replace our current KIRBY but misrepresenting and the baiting and switching and calling a manager to see if he can make a better deal was unprofessional, ridiculous and so USED CAR sales scheme! The machines sell themselves!!!!!! I called the rep this morning to share some of my thoughts and he was rude and said, "he didn't need my sale, this selling tactic obviously works and I don't care what you think!" OK, NOT buying a Kirby!

Wed 1/12/2011 I had a knock at the door it was a gentlemen giving my husband a bottle of hand soap. He told my husband that a young man would get credit if he just came in and talk to us. So I said it was ok, No badges or did they say where they were from. As a yound man came in around 7:30 that evening, he threw his duffy bag on my floor and told me he was from kirby. Well not saying the least I told him to get out of my house and not return. This was the 3 visit I had from them. Someone need to do something about this company, very rude people. If I had my way next time I see a white van in my trailer park, where they shouldn't be if the first place selling stuff with all the signs they have around here, I will call the police on them. Boy I would like to find the number of corporate office to report this action

On a Sunday we had a knock on the door at 1pm and it was a young man and a woman who said they want to clean a room. They never presented themselves as Kirby representitives and my husband and I were under the impression they were a cleaning service. We allow them into our home and 3 hours later with 50 dust pads laying around our home I finally under stress to get them out of my house agreed to buy this vacuum. After thinking about it I cancelled my order and did everything within the details. Now we are going on 3 weeks since they picked up my vacuum and I still haven't been credited back my money. What do I have to do? I played by the rules so why can't they.

On 4/26 I was under the assumption that I was going to get 2 of my Rugs cleaned. I am very sick and take 23 pills a day. The Representative knew this in advance. He came with a young Man to train him. He arrived at 11:00 am and was at my Home until 6:00 pm. All he did was finatically going around my house doing Dust pad cleaning. I kept telling him taht I needed to stop that I needed my Nap or I would get sick. He totally ignored me. I was put under so much stress that I was sick for 3 weeks. I became burnt down with my Blood pressure plus other ailments that I have. I kept telling him that I wasn't feeling good, he just kept doing those pad test. I can go on and on about what I was put through but there isn't enough space. Just typing this my handing is shaking. That experience was a very bad, intensified one.
