I Purchased a Milwaukee Battery Drill with a Five year Replacement warranty, had the drill a year, now It doesn't work. Home Depot, Does Not Stand Behind What They Say!!!
What yall have to realize is everyone working at home depot are basically the scum of the earth. They get paid 8$ and hour and have no knowlege of anything. The managers are the people you see on jerry springer and they are just as stupid as the associates. This is how Home Depot makes money, by cutting all of their cost. They have had good people working for them but they found ways to fire all of them because they were making too much money. I hate everything about the way their business is run.
I've shopped at Home Depot now for several years........Home Depot has been an outstanding store filled with good people and a great inventory of supplies and tools for all do it your selfers and contractors.........I would have to say it's one of the best home improvement stores I've ever seen..........now if I can only get a job there.........would be the next best thing............"smile".............Jeremy Ray Turner
Mon Jan 10,2011 I bought bamboo flooring from Home Depot supplied be Quality Craft. This flooring was defective when I bought it the first time so Quality Craft gave us a 50% discount on it. When we went to install the second batch of flooring, the finish on it is peeling off like hard glue. Home Depot in North Bay (Shelly) has been playing head games with us since Dec 5,2010 letting us believe that she was trying to help us get another floor that would be close to the same value as the Bamboo we purchased. We made numerous trips back to the store getting floor samples. Now today Jan 10,2011 she (Shelly) informs us that Home Depot wants to only allow us $1250.00 towards a new floor, even though we paid $2440.00 orinally. I spoke with Paul Penny (store manager) he tells me that Quality Craft wont send us another floor becauce there is nothing wrong with the one I have, even though Home Depot came out and took pictures and told us to take the floor up because it was defective. Your management is very immature, they now pretend that they are not there in the store and wont atke my phone calls. Your customer care line people don`t answer their phone either. No wonder people take their complaint about Home Depot to the media. Step up to the plate Home Depot and take care of this problem before it gets any bigger. I would advise all you people in North Bay not to buy from Home Depot because they deffinately don`t stand behind their product. Just look under Home Depot complaints on the internet and you tube you will see for yourself.

I PURCHASED A WASHER AND DRYER IN 2008 FROM HOME DEPOT. I ALSO GOT THE 4 YEAR CONTRACT. AFTER 2 YEARS THE WASHER STARTED MAKING A NOISE AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE BRAKE FOR THE DRUM. THEY REPLACED THE BRAKE AND 4 MONTHS LATER THE SAME THING. THIS TIME I TOLD THEM I WANTED A NEW WASHER. THEY ASKED IF I WOULD TAKE A DIFFERENT MODEL AND I SAID IF ITS THE SAME PRICE RANGE AND SIZE. THE DEPARTMENT MANAGER TALKED TO THE STORE MANAGER AND I ASKED IF THE REST OF MY 4 YEAR WARRANTY COULD BE TRANSFERED AND WAS TOLD NO. I SAID SO I LOSE THE OTHER 2 YEARS AND WAS TOLD YES. I HAVE GONE THROUGH HELL WITH THESE PEOPLE FOR 6 MONTHS AND WAS TOLD NO. AND THEY ASKED IF I GOT A DIFFERENT MODEL WOULD I BRING THE OLD ONE BACK TO THEM. I AM NOT TAKING THIS ONE SITTING DOWN.
I just can't describe the nightmare I have experienced with home depot's shoddy work and Terrible customer service. I can't even begin. And they would have gotten a -10 if it was listed! Poor Poor customer service and work!
I had ordered a countertop @ home depot silver pring office.The removal of the countertop was sub contractered to "countertop removers" who broke the back wall in several places,when I reported it,the person who worked with me told me that its simple and that if i like she will give me putty to go and fix it my self. I got upset and walked out on her.This is a project that I have paid $750.00 for .I remailed their customercare office and some one got back to me.The person did not say anything and have not heard from them .I have got the sink and all plumbing work taken care of and the old countertop thrown away.I just called again to tell them that I need my money refunded to me.I think This is my last stint with home depot.
My brother and I purchase a piece of carpet that was suppose to be 12 x 22 feet and found it was only 12 x 17 feet. We called the store and a person called me back claiming to be the manager and said nothing could be done. Then she wanted me to call her back with the credit card number so she could pull up the receipt. I gave her receipt number and every thing and she could the purchase. They have not been willing to corporate or make any compensation for this huge error. We asked prior to buying the carpet if the measurements was true and we were assured that it was. Now they are saying they did not know because the carpet came directly from the factory with those measurements. Right now I have two rooms to carpet and other home improvement to do and home depot will not get my business unless they clarify and correct this problem and I get an apology from them.' Right now I am getting ready to send the complaint to every email address in corporate I can find.
My husband and I are both former employees. We will never shop at Home Depot again. My husband was wrongful fired for a comment he made at home on his day off. And I was wrote up left and right for things I said on my days off. Also, I was promoted and didn't receive a pay raised which was promised and when I asked my manager about it he told me to call Frank Blake (the CEO of Home Depot). The Home Depot in Elizabethtown, KY is full of people who get away with murder. They need to clean house.
I purchased a Granite countertop August 2010. Here it is November and I still do not have my countertop nor sink!!! The contractor Home Depot uses is not a good company at all!!! Never use Marble Unique when shopping for countertops. Home Depot DOES NOT work or assist the customer when not knowing what proper measurements to use when it comes to home appliances. I would not suggest using Home Depor for anything. Not even making a purchase for gum. The customer service is poor, and the contractors that they have are horrible!!!!
We bought the new veranda wood that came out and it was supposed to be rust and crack resistant... Yeah so much for that 2 years in the screws are rusted and the veranda is cracked it looks absolutely horrible. We have been dealing with home depot for quite some time now, Some one who does the inspection barely speaks English and explain we did the installation wrong. Yet we followed EVERY instruction provided for the wood! Home depot still has not returned our calls or emails. Please stay away from home depot!
Went to Home Depot and chose paint. Clerk mixed 5 gal of one color then proceeded to tell me she had no mix for trim, I could drive to a store several miles away. I refused but since she had mixed the 5 gal. I took them plus one gal of inside paint. When I got home I opened the truck door and the paint can fell out - my fault I would guess but the top flew off because it was not tight. My neighbors house, my truck, my shoes were splattered with paint. Cleaned up the mess. Went back to the store today and once more the employees except for one could not have cared. When she mixed the paint the big discussion was who would go to lunch, where and when. She didnot tighten can top but today Rick said it was. Fortunately a greeter named Bob told me about the internet and encouraged me to write. So should I get a refund on the gallon that spilled? I think Bob was most upset as I told him this was the end, too many problems in the past year and employees who DO NOT CARE. Please check my account to see how much I have purchased in the past few years including a deck (spring 2010), full kitchen (2005) etc. etc.
The online department doesn't do follow ups to the email section. They seem to think that their 1st response to your query should be all you need.
I purchased a LG Confection Oven.I thought I bought a 2010 stove on sale .When I got it installed.(They don't deliver.) I found the packing slip. I got a 2008 Stove. I called the manager at Easley SC and was told it could have been a 2005. If I got a 2010 .It would cost me $500.00 more. I am retired and this is not right. I have called LG...everyone I know.The 2 managers are rude.Please look at serial # before you buy...I have a 2yr. old stove that is a 2 weeks old.My insurance will pay (2008 not 2010)...God forbit my house burns. I bought a lot from Home Depot.I will not in the future. No company should keep a stove 2 yrs. then not tell you.

I went in to the store 200-232 w. 87th terrible service Manger not around until 20 miutes later the store was on the south side of chicago I was told by and associate to go to another store if I could not find what was i looking for.
Our family has used home depot for years, but sinca recent (august 2010) major article in a national magazine, we will stop buying from them and urge our friends and relatives to also boycott them, as we believe homosexuality is a deathstyle not a lifestyle choice, and it endangers the health safety and welfare of all americans, as well as undermines the true purpose of male and female, which is to form a unit for the upbringing of healthy productive children for the next generation.
My husband and I have shopped at Home Depot for years and put most purchases on a Home Depot credit card, which we normally pay off as soon as the bill comes. We are fortunate enough to have knowledgeable people in the store where we shop. My problem with the company is the credit department. For the first time ever, we were late with a payment. The overlooked bill was for $4.30. The next bill arrived and naturally included a late fee of $2.00. The total of this bill was $24.88, including the late fee. Before this payment was due on February 11, 2011, we started receiving calls from the credit department, demanding payment. These calls were persistent, even after I paid the entire bill at the local store. I could understand the calls if we were habitually late with payments or if the overlooked bill had been for a larger amount, but $4.30? Really? Lowe's isn't that much further away from where we live. jl
