Couch Fell Apart

We bought three upholstered living couch and club chairs. We also purchased the Guardsmen Gold protection agreement. This furniture is for our Florida condo. We are in Florida 5 months of the year. The couch fell apart during the second year. The padding came off the frame and is resting inside the couch fabric. The cushions look like balloons with the air let out. Havertys refused any assistance with this issue. I contacted a professional reupholstery service to have the couch repaired. She said she has never seen cushions or a couch fall apart like this. Sadly, it is not cost effective to rebuild the couch correctly. I am going to have to replace it. I intend to file a small claims lawsuit against Havertys. I advise all my friends not to buy furniture through Havertys.

Falling apart couch

Bought 3000 dollars furniture for our Florida house. We bought a couch couch and two upholstered club chairs. Although we are here only several months a year the couch is coming apart . I also purchased the extra protection agreement from Guardsmen. The couch began falling apart within months of the one year warranty. The padding fell off the frame inside the couch fabric. The cushions look like balloons with the air let out of them. Havertys would not assist in any way. The extended warranty did not cover shoddy construction although when sold to us it covered everything. Do not buy from Havertys!!!

Don't Leave!

I have bought furniture from Haverty's for over 10 years from the same salesman - Dennis. Every piece of furniture I have bought is still in the best condition and is of the best quality for the price. I am so surprised to read all of those negative reviews. I have 4 children and yet all of the furniture I have bought has withstood their "abuse". Now I hear our local Haverty's store is closing and moving out of our area, and my favorite salesman is transferring to Kentucky! I don't want to buy furniture from any other store. Please, Haverty's find another location to open your store in our city or renew your lease....please don't leave!0

Delivery

I was going to purchase two separate pieces of furniture. One was free delivery one was not. They refused to deliver the other piece even though they were coming to my house anyway. I did not purchase either one. They lost an almost $1800 sale. What a horrible company to work with. I will never return to this store or any Havertys store. Suggest you relook at your company policies.

Havertys has came out with a line of furniture that has chemicals in the materials its made with that can be harmful to the customers that buy them and also the employees that have to handle the furniture everyday. But does Havertys tell anyone about this no they don't, they just hide the warning sticker with a different sticker that just says Havertys Furniture. How is it that a company that has been around for so long just hide these things and not care what they are selling there customers or the harm it could do to peoples families in the long run

I refuse to do business with Havertys going forward. I purchased a bedroom set from the Sarasota location and am completely disappointed from the initial sale to the product itself. We have return our dresser draw 4 times because the draws will not close. Now we are waiting on our 5 delivery. Buyers beware what you see in the store is NOT what you're going to get.

i wish I had read the reviews before I purchased my livingroom set from you. If I had, I would have saved myself months of disappointment, frustration and upsetness. Since Feb I have had my ottman replaced three times. Once the ottman was the wrong shade, then the piping was high on one side and mid way down on the other side. The piping is still off. When it came to the cushions, the guy that comes to look and report, has been out three times and I am waiting for him to come out again. Customer Service is rude and impatience. I can go on & on, but I know I will never ever buy from them again. Never again!!!

Dear Sir I have always brag on the Quality of Furniture at your store but Lately I have been a Little dissatisfied with the warranties I bought my Husband a Leather Recliner for Father Day it is very uncomfortable for him he is a D A Veteran how can I resolve this issue

Brought leather set on delivery noticced set had flaws in it. Haverty's sent a new set out that was defective also. Haverty's is refusing to refund money. I would not recommend any one buy anything from Haverty's they have awful customer service and sell poor quality product. I have never heard of an establishment as large as Haverty's is only having a two tier customer service and it is total up to individual store to resolve any issues you may have. Don't shop there

purchased a 2drawer file cabinet that got damaged on top. We purchased the Guardsman warranty, because we were told that its a great protection and covers everything, including exchanging if the piece cannot be fix, with one exactly like it. well, the piece was no longer available and we found another file cabinet that we liked, we made an exchange, and 3 file cabinets later we have yet to find a file cabinet that has had no damage on it. We were given all kinds of promises of "checking" it over with a fine tooth comb speech, and now the branch manager does not even call to see how things went. the options that we are given is, if this last piece is pick up, we are only going to get a 60 day store credit, and if we still can't find another file cabinet, then we are out of money and file cabinet!? Haverty's does not stand by anything, and the warranty they sell you is a jokes. this is by no means over.

I recently purchased a $6000 bedroom suit. Delivery date: Furniture was unloaded, except for my headboard. Ok, no problem until I was told to sign off that the delivery was complete. I said I will not sign because the delivery was not complete and I will sign when my headboard arrives and is assembled. Afer about 20 minutes of going back & forth w/ the delivery men and them talking to their manager, they were told to load the furniture back up on the truck and reschedule! I was furious. I took off work for this?? I called my saleman and all I got was "oh i'm sorry, this isnt like Havertys" Long story short I went in to get my money back. The manager there did not even ask about what happened, my side of things or even try to make it right. All I got from him was "Sorry for the inconvenience." So that's it?? No, "how can we make this right?" I've had better costomer service buying gum! They no more cared about the sale or me being a customer!

Move to Georgia and was starting with all new furniture.....we spent mega money at the Haverty's in Kennesaw.....my house looks beautiful BUT let me tell you, don't count on them standing behind their product. The sold us the "Guardsman's Gold Protection" package, what a joke.......I will let everyone know to stay away from that place. Sad lesson learned.....save your money the protection plan that Haverty's co-branded is not worth 5cents never mind the hundreds of dollars they tacked on to the sale.... Even the sales lady that kept calling about additional pieces to purchase suddenly didn't even respond. Luckily there are other furniture stores in the area.....

We bought all of our furniture for our Florida house from Havertys in Sarasota; We only use the house 5 months our of the year. Right at the beginning, the left side of the king footboard cracked. They sent someone our to fix it.....Now the right side of the footboard is cracked in the same corresponding place and they say it is "our of its ONE YEAR WARRANTY....the store has washed its hands of us, even though the American Woodcrafters Cottage Retreat King bedroom that we bought is DEFECTIVE in that it has cracked in the same place on both ends....This bed is used by OLD PEOPLE and only for a short period each year....DO NOT BUY FURNITURE from Havertys......once they make a sale, they do NOT WANT TO KNOW YOU....and this product is JUNK ..Wonder how many complaints this manufacturer has had on this same bed-set in the past......
