I will NEVER ever take my family or fellow church members to Dave & Busters again. My family and church have been coming to your Austin TX location at Loop 1 and 183 for a long time now. Last week my family went out for dinner there in the evening and we got some waiter named Brian B. Everything started out normal pretty much, drink order, apps, that kinda thing. He takes our order and this little hispanic girl with rainbow hair comes over and they start playing grab butt and flirting around BEFORE my order was even entered into the computer. 20 Mins later our drinks come and he starts laying them out on the table for us. When this kid leaned in he REEKED of alcohol. So we are waiting for our food and he keeps flirting around with the rainbow color hair girl again slapping each other on the rear and little kisses here and there. Now its one thing to do this in front of adults but this is a very big problem to us when you DO IT IN FRONT OF MY KIDS! Does D&B not have a drinking and fraternizing rule in their employee handbook? In short you have lost a group of customers now that bring you over $1500 a month. Never again will I visit a D&B. Wow that's all I can say... Your former customer Jaime Hatcher
My husband is an employee at Dave and Buster's. As with any hospitality employer there will be customer service issues. If you are receiving poor service don't tip. If you are being treated poorly speak with management. After reading many of these comments it seems like people are afraid to speak up for themselves. I would never let a host/hostess in any restaurant ignore me. I would search management out immediately. That's their job to correct issues in each store, and it's a customers responsibility to speak out when being treated poorly. On late night visits: it varies by each location what the age restriction time limit is and usually because of state laws. D&B is where ADULTS go to play AKA drink. It's a sports bar and not a chuck e cheese. I wouldn't want my 12 and 13 year old around drunk people. And thats what D&B is at night... a bar for adults. I reiterate D&B is NOT chuck e cheese. It's meant to be for adults and that is also why the game prices are higher. They actually purchase the EXPENSIVE gaming equipment that appeals to ADULTS. My D&B location even has billiards as well as the bowling alley. If you want your kid to win tickets at every game go to chuck e cheese. And for the person who overpaid their tab...really? It's ok to admit u were drunk and didn't keep track of how much cash you actually left. Also, if you are going to a D&B that just opened...AKA Orlando and Braintree expect a LONG wait because there are HUNDREDS of people there, and the staff is completely new as well. Duh.
Get it together! You absolutely ruined my Birthday!! If you are going to let each location create it's own bullshit rules about how late kids can stay in the place with their parents then you have to post something of your website directing people to contact the location they are going to for specific information! I looked all over the site and saw NO AGE RESTRICTIONS! All week we make plans for my birthday to go to Dave and Busters in Plymouth Meeting, PA. We arrive at 9:30 only to find out they STOP letting kids in at 9:30pm. I asked the jerk at the door where it says this in the web site because it is MY BIRTHDAY and I took careful consideration when planning for this, and we drove from Philadelphia to get here, and my whole family and ONE QUIET 13year old boy was with me, and we just wanted to play for like an hour. The jerk at the door said "sorry every location is different and has its own rules". I can understand these rules if my kid was like 5 and I was planning on letting him run amuck unattended while I got drunk, but this was not going to be the case and I made tht clear. IT IS ABSOLUTLY INACCEPTABLE THAT YOU DON'T HAVE A DISCLAIMER ON YOUR WEBSITE! You embarrassed me, waited my time, disappointed me and ruined my birthday plans, I was going to spend a considerable ammount of money in your establishment. I will never spend my money at your company in any location ever, now. And I will encourage others to do likewise. DISPICABLE! You should be ashamed to have locations under your banner tht treat people this way. And the fact that you can't even have the courtesy to post a notice on your website to contact specific locations for restrictions, is beyond offensive and setting people up to have a horrible experience and their special days RUINED!
Went to the Braintree Mass location 8/4/12 was shocked when we got to the door and was told that at this location MEN cannot wear sleeveless jersey's, so my brother had to leave and go to the mall and purchase a short with sleeve's.. in the meantime, my niece and nephew and I were seated and waiting on my brother. My nephew looks at another table and here is another man seated and having a drink in a sleeveless jersey. I asked the waitress WHY and then asked for the manager who came over and said that he wasn't sure why the other man was seated but that he would address the issue, walks over and then turns around and come's by and says "he is allowed because it is a SPORT'S TEAM jersey, not a T-shirt.. sleeveless is sleeveless and that is NOT what was told to us at the door.. told him I didn't agree as IF the policy is NO sleeveless tops on men then it shouldn't matter whether its a "team jersey" then it was the general manager coming over to the table, with his line of crap, I asked IF that was the policy then why didn't they sell t-shirts at the door to PREVENT guests from either having to go home and change or go to the mall and spend money on another jersey. then it was what the guide line's were for Dave and Buster's with the Town of Braintree, well I honestly don't believe that anywhere in any guide line's with the Town did they put "no sleeveless shirts UNLESS it is an "sports team jersey" ie the Patriots, Bruin's or Celtic's.. because again SLEEVELESS is SLEEVELESS.. we were a 60 year old woman, a 54 year old man and 2 children under 13 who were going to eat and then let the kids play the game's, that was the intention from the start and this was the FIRST time myself and my brother had been there.. I got from both the manager and the general manager that this is the policy its posted at the door, YET the person at the door, not once specified that "sleeveless jerseys were allowed IF they had a team name on them" the man that sat at the table across from us had a jersey on that the arm opening was halfway down his chest but managment allowed that because of the team logo, YOU cannot have it the way you want it, IF the policy is NO sleeveless jerseys for men then thats the policy NO EXCEPTION'S.. then it was money taken off the bill for the money that my brother spent when he had to go to the mall and buy a shirt, because according to the general manager "because its summer they had run out of shirts and were getting a shipment in on monday" key word SUMMER when men tend to wear sleeveless shirts on a 90 degree day, so WHY then do you not order your stock accordingly???? then it was 4 play cards brought to our table by the waitress, I gave them back to her when I paid the bill, I didn't realize that money was taken off the bill for the shirt until after I paid the bill and I was NOT about to then start having them void the dinner check and start all over, because when I purchased the game cards for the kids, the cashier took the money and then forgot to give me my change, until I stood there and she realized it, because she was on the phone talking to someone asking about Dave and Buster's.. It really put a damper on the night for us, as it felt like we were discriminated against, and they can stand there and tell you what they want to tell you, but the bottom line is "NO SLEEVELESS SHIRTS ON MEN" The waitress was great, she couldn't apologize enough when this had nothing to do with her at all, her service was exceptional and when I asked at the beginning to speak to the manager she was prompt in relaying the message and getting him to the table.. I have worked in the food industry for 25 years, my family owned a restaurant and this is NOT the manner in which to deal with guests, it was disgusting and rude and then to add insult to injury now you throw some free game cards to guests.. I was NOT looking for anything other than them following the policy the manager and general manager kept spewing, the policy that they had to follow that was put to them from the Town was that there were to be NO SLEEVELESS SHIRTS on men, BUT whether or not Dave and Buster's or the management staff at this location has decided to amend what the town wanted and allow "sleeveless team shirts" is NOT any guests problem, they either enforce it across the board or not at all!!!!! will NOT be going back to Dave and Buster's anytime soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I will be following up with the corporate office, but again they too more than likely have the same attitude as the manager and general manager have "they don't care whether a guest come's back or not"
My family and I went to the location in Nashville,Tn this past Saturday 6/30/12. We were there several hours (3-4). My 13 year old daughter and her 12 year old cousin stepped out into the mall through the doors. Moments later they were reopening the door to step back in. Their 'corporal' as they called this idiot immediently met my 13 year old putting his hands on her in her chest area and pushing her back about two feet, never taking his hands off of her. He told her she could not come in that door and stated she would have to 'reenter' through the front entrance. Keep in mind this is a grown man bald headed with a beard in a 'police looking' type uniform to a 13 year old girl. She and her 12 year old cousin then had to leave out the mall,walk around the mall OUTSIDE BY THEMSELVESand reenter through another entrance. FIRST NEVER put your habds on my daughter. Second he made them leave the mall???? What if they were taken, hit by a car or Lord knows what else????? The management Never done anything. We called the police ourselves even though they wanted to handle it themselves with their 'hired security'. Needless to say the police done nothing. It amazes me a grown man can put his hands on a 13 year old girl and place her in harms way by making her and anoth child leave the mall and NOBODY can do anything. IF I had put my hands on their 'corporal' I GUARANTEE I would have went to jail. We will NEVER visit another of their establishments. And as of this morning, 7/2/12 we are trying to contact their corporate office in Texas and will be speaking with a family friend attorney today. This situation was extremely poorly handled and I am truely amazed with the lack of response and care given to this matter.
I received a coupon via email ( spend $10/get $10)for signing up for the rewards program. I presented my coupon on my smart phone ( as I had done many times before) and was told that i had to have the coupon printed out. I told her I had done this via phone before and she said she was sorry, it had to be printed. I said ma'am it has the numbers under the barcode, you can't key it in? she said no. I live 50 miles away and planned this for my kids who had a day off from school. I left D&B found the library 5.5 miles away, had to wait 15 mins to use a computer, had to pay $2 dollars to use the computer because I was not a resident and money to print the coupon. While waiting, to use the computer, I read the info on the coupon and it stated that you could present the coupon on the phone. I was very upset at this point. I went back to the D&B and showed the coupon to the same clerk. I told her it states that you can show the coupon on the smartphone. she stated we still have to have it printed and called the mgr. she told him (corey kersh) that they are printing "that" on the coupons again. He came over and told me, " this time I'm going to accept it." I told him his corp. sent that out. he said he didn't have anything to do with that. they have to have the coupon printed. He said for the second time "I'm going to do it this time" and i was ticked. I told him, this is d&b andhe is suppose to accept via phone. i said that he should have signs up stating they don't accept the coupons if that's the case. i told him I had traveled here and then had to find library, etc..... This is not good business and I will not go to D&B MARIETTA again.
I would give a negative zero but its not an option. me and my family went to d&b in san antonio on sat 3-17-12 around 12pm. we played for awhile then was ready to eat. there were plenty of empty tables in gaming area around the bar. so we choose one and waited for 15min and no one came to talk to us yet so i went asked a waitress named lauryn if we can order drinks and food and told her we have been sitting at the table for 15min lauryn acted as if she did not care and did not want to be bothered and she said she would have someone go to our table another 10min passes i saw a manager at the computer so i went and told him we have been waiting 25min and no one has came to get our order or even acknowledged us.the manager said he would be right there. a few min later a waitress named priscilla came to the table i told her that we have been waiting a long time and was ready to order drinks and food. i asked her about the maitai drink then told her i will just take a midori and pineapple because i did not want a strong drink and for my 2 and 3year old shirley temples with cherries my husband had a coke and my older son had a sprite.my drink tasted like water with a splash of something pink my lil ones got sprite in small red cups. i asked priscilla if my drink was a midori and pineapple she said no it is grenadine and pineapple i said i asked for midori and pineapple and i asked her if the kids drinks were shirly temples she said ya that she made them i told priscilla no they only have sprite i had poured some into a clear cup and it was only sprite and they did not get cherries. priscilla said she would get me a midori and pineapple and get the kids cherries but i told her just forget it. when we got our food we did not get the sweet potato fries and a side of ranch i had ordered, which priscilla went and got right away. my husband and son did not have a drink with their meal because they did not get a refill at all until i asked priscilla for one when she came to the table after we were done eating. we ended with a choc fondue which was good. i tipped priscilla 20percent although she did not deserve it, but i always tip. she seemed to try to make things better toward the end but it was to late at that point.i am a manager at a fast paced restaurant of 50,00.00+a day in sales so i know how crazy thing can get however it was not busy at all and the fact that the manager or anyone did not apologize at all was shocking and the manager did not care to check on us later to see how things turned out, if everything went ok, nope nothing although he did pass the area a few times he did not stop by. he also did not have a smile on his face the whole time we were there. the staff and manager seemed to have no sense of urgency or appreciation for the guest. we would have been fine if someone could have at least said i will be with you shortly and got an apology from someone for the wait! it should not take 25min and asking a waitress and a manager for help for someone to acknowledge 2adults a 17yr old and 3 small kid.we have been to other locations have never got such bad service.
I will never go again... Went today with my friend and our children to the Islandia, Ny Dave and Busters and spent a lot of money, then decided to sit and eat, after sitting for a littlewhile,the waitress took our order, when she walked away my phone was missing off the table, after throwing a fit the manger came out. He was no help but very rude and kept by his waitresses word, that she did not take it. I said, I want the cameras reviewed and the cops called, he left the table and reviewed the cameras. I then proceeded to wait another 15 minutes, he then brought out a general manger that was also very rude.. 5 minutes into my conversation with them a " Different " waitress' brought me back my phone... Hmmmmmm, when asked for a apology, they said, " For What" Are you kidding me???? IM THE CUSTOMER!!!!! No Respect, and very disappointed. I can't believe a kid friendly business runs like this!!!!!!!
Went to the Dave and Busters on Dec 19 in Houston located on Richmond Ave and I can truly say that this location really needs an inspector out there ASAP. My waitress was good as well as my food. I really needed to go to the restroom and as soon as I went in I went to the first stall and saw an out of order sign on it then decided to go to the second one and another sign and then the third one as well. Then the fourth one was next and no toilet paper then the fifth one and no toilet paper to be seen. To make the long story short out of all 10 stalls, no toilet paper was to be found and there was 6 of them out of order. I go outside and ask a waitress by the name of Britney if I can have some toilet paper and she says that she will go get some. As I see her going to the back, I decide to wait for her to bring it to me, I see her come back outside and she decides to sit down and talk to her co-workers. Wow!!!!! I go all the way around and ask her if she found any and she says that shes looking for her managers (plural) "SITTING DOWN" and still none of them to be found. At this point she decides to not acknowledge the fact that I have to go to the restroom and decides to stay sitting down and chit chat. I spotted my waitress down and ask her if there's some way for her to find some. She goes to the back and brings one. I go back and use 1 of them that didn't have an out of order sign and as I'm cleaning it before I sit down, I decide to flush the toilet and it starts over flowing. At this point I'm pisst!!! I get out and there's a line of women waiting outside my stall because there's no toilet paper to be found anywhere. I am really disappointed and mad that this happened on my 3rd visit to Dave and Busters and will not go back again. An inspection should be done at this place immediately!!!!
I must commend the management of Dave and Busters of the Cincinnati location for the wonderful experiences I've had in August 27th and October 2nd. I believe in giving ``honour when and where it is due'' and the management (Jason and the other party/event planners) went above and beyond the call of duty to serve a large party size of people with little or no notice! The attitude of the management trickled right down to the servers (Taj,Nick, and the Black girl(forgot her name...Lol!)Food was great, servers served with a smile and with the patience of Job!Dave and Busters come highly recommended by me Renee (The Cincinnati Kid). I would be remissed to not ask Corporate to forward this message coupled with extra brownie points to those great managers and servers at the Tri-County location for a job well done! I look forward to doing business with them again! Bless you-

This blog is in reference to a visit of your Orlando, Florida location. My significant other and I were in your Orlando, Florida location on September 30, 2011. We had a horrible experience, one we will never forget! It was out first time to Dave&Busters, Wow what a experience! We heard all good recommendations about your facility. Boy, we were totally disgusted and disapppointed! We decided to have dinner while there. Firstoff, it took over a hour for a table for 2. Finally, we got sat and no reguards that we asked for a booth, and got a table. We were tired of waiting, and accepted. Our server showed up, took our drink order. Then over 15 minutes goes by and still no drinks, and all we ordered was Dr. Pepper. Finally, she showed back up after looking everywhere for her! No explanation of why it took so long. She asked if we're ready to order, we told her what we wanted to order. So we talked as we waited for our food. I finished my drink as I waited for my entree. But, again our server was nowhere around again for a refill. So I had to flag down another server, who got me one. Finally, after almost 45 minutes the food came to the table. It looked great, as the picture depicted in the menu. It was nice and hot, and my steak was at my desired temp. Then as I was eating the loaded mash potatoes, I discovered something. It was a USED, BLOODY, FILTHY BANDAID! The scary thing I had it in my mouth! Obviously, somebody in the kitchen recently lost it, cause it was still sticky. Immediately, I looked for our server and AGAIN SHE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND! Another server, asked if everything was ok, I showed them the bandaid. They freaked, and said they would get a manager asap! Finally, the manager shows up. Immediately tries to apologize, and says he will get another one working right away. I told him that I needed a few minutes to think, I just had that in my mouth! After a litte bit, I ordered something else. Within a few minutes, the food was at the table . It was completly not what I ordered, I was pissed at this point. We were ready to go at this point, then the server dropped the check. I couldn't believe that we had a check. It had everything on there, and the new items that I never even ate. I demanded to see the manager asap! He came over, and I explained to him that this was unacceptable. He took off a few things, I was so aggravated and just paid the rest, even though I didn't eat. We were over with the whole situation! Keep in mind, never took my name or any information! All we got, was the manager saying he was sorry and couldn't explain where it came from, he had no clue! So our first experience with Dave&Busters was HORRIBLE! We will be notifying local health officals immediately. So we don't recommend the Orlando, Florida location! We will also be contacting corporate Dave&Busters asap! We demand resolutuion and answers!
I recently visited your location in Cincinnati Ohio as I do every summer and had the best time! However it is almost an hour away from my house and I was just wondering if you have any plans to open a location near Dayton Ohio? I would love it if you did and would be able to visit Dave and Busters more often than once a year. Thanks a lot for letting me share my opinion!

That is an $80 savings in ANYONE'S book. Then, redeem coupons Thursday through Tuesday but do not play On Wednesday, 1/2 price game play That is $200 in Game Play for $20, $180 savings
Never again will I attend a Dave and Busters. The first time I went will be the last, and i never even got to have a drink. About 12 of us were out for my bachelor party, and a member of my wedding party had walked through a group of people that were smoking. When he had gotten to the door, they wouldn't let him in because he smelled like marajuana. Another member of our group was turned down for only having a health card for I.D. although half of are party got in with only a health card. No refunds were given and my bachelor party was ruined from poor judgement on managements part. I recommend anyone wanting to have a good time not go, whatever happened to the customer is always right?
Loudon and Fairfax County is the fastest growing counties in America. If you can put Dave and Busters at one of these empty Lots, The money will be pouring into your company. Terrible waste of money. I did not go as far as your power up card machine. If the customer has to give 2 extra dollars just to spend 10 dollars then he or she is not smart.

I took my son and his friends to the D&B in Nyack, NY to celebrate his birthday. We received excellent service from our server, Christina and the boys enjoyed the arcade. The only recommendation is to get better prizes. It can get costly to play the games, so it would be nice to have a better selection for their winnings.
