The service is getting worse every time I go to your Monrovia location. Went last night sat at the bar my friend and I ordered from your happy hour menu and he got his food I never received my food. Ask Lis our server 3 times, the first time asked what happend to my order and she was going to look into it and was going to the kitchen. Kept an eye on her and after approximately 10 minutes she finally went to the back, never came back to me to inform me what happened. Second time I told her just give me a Ceasar salad and then she said your order is coming. The third time I ask again and Liz said let me see what is going on in the kitchen, while others who came in and placed their orders much later than me where getting their food, she finally said my order was placed in the back. At that time I said just cancel my order. Finally after over 1 hour the manager brought my food and started to apolize and I try to tell her my story and then finally said I don't want it. She said she would give me the food for free ($5 worth of food) to go. Yet when we got home the order was wrong. Do I recommend them not after 2 different incidents no and the food is not what it use to be. Go some where else
Longtime Claim Jumper fan here who grew up in Orange County in the 70's and have always enjoyed their super service, high quality food, and plentiful portions. Wow, where do I begin? Went there last night, Valentine's day to their Avondale, Arizona location and what a mess! Had a 7:30pm reservation, arrived there right on time and was told by the hostess that there were many reservations ahead of us and waiting and she didn't know how long the wait would be. Approached the Manager and asked him his opinion on this. He stated that they had a 15 minute window for reservations which I thought was a more reasonable position and accepted it. Well after waiting 35 minutes at the bar (in which there was a major conflict between 2 of the bartenders regarding who was responsible to make our drinks which resulted in a considerable delay)I again approached the Manager and asked what the situation was. He told me that we would be the next table seated. Ok. After 3 parties were seated and about 5-10 we were in fact seated. Part 2 of the this post upcoming next>>>>>>>
This review is not about food quality or service. It concerns the operation of your restaurant, specifically the Thousand Oaks location. On 02/11, my wife and I went to your Thousand Oaks location for dinner. We were informed that that the restaurant had many reservations and there would be a wait, no problem. I noticed several other couples and families being told the same thing most of whom chose to go elsewhere. After about 30 minutes of waiting I looked in the dining area and there were over 50 open seats. I approached your manager and was advised they were being held for reservations. When my wife and I were seated, about the same number of seats were available and at the finish of out meal about an hour or better there were still at least 30 empty seats that hat not been utilized. In these times I could better understand turning away customers for a full restaurant rather than loose the profits of a quarter of my restaurant being unused. The manager EJ Miranda wanted me to sure to include his name.
I now understand why you closed many of your resturants. I got a $50 gift certificate and used it at the Fountain Valley Resurant. The ribs were burnt and had no meat on them. I had a very unhappy holiday.
Lettuce in salads NOT fresh....have been eating there for years in Thousand Oaks, Ca. Must be new management, because there is a HUGE change in the quality of the food! Too bad! We were steady customers! No more
I bought one of the Claim Jumper apple pies for Christmas... Wow, what a mistake. This thing is a disgusting, runny mess! I cooked it for a total of 65 minutes. Once you start eating it(with a spoon)you will go into a diabetic coma! Out of the 6 people that were brave enough to try the pie, not one could finish more than a bite or two. This thing is so sweet that it literally stings the inside of your mouth.. Very disappointed. I'll never go to the restaurant now either...
I've been going to the Tempe,Arizona location since 2003. I always looked forward to my visits because the people were so nice. I've noticed a steady decline since Landry's took over. The menu has changed for the worse, you threaten your employees with dismissal if they don't sell enough cards, there are only a few good people left because you either fired them, or ran them off. And now you are too cheap to fix the A/C. I tell you trying to have a enjoyable meal while you're sweating like a pig is next to impossible. How you people survived in the industry is next to amazing, because you are definitely not people oriented. It's a shame there isn't a zero rating, because that is what you really deserve.Don't ask me why I don't go somewhere else, cause I'm already gone!
can't believe they discontinued the asian pear salad. the apptzer platter is getting worse and worse, nothng but onion rings for that price!!! went from better to just above average again. blue cheese wedge gone too. bread used to be included back in the day. they charge for everything now. next they will charge for soda refills.
I've never eaten at crap jumpers. I did make the mistake of eating one of there salisbury steak frozen dinners or at least one bite. Tryed to leave a coment on the retail site but it was closed most likely due to to many complaints. If the food you serve in your establishments is anything like your frozen product no wonder you shafted employees and closed. A $1.00 Banquet dinner is at least edible. Look foward to seeing you go out of buisness altogether which Im sure will happen.
I have been thinking about my favorite salad all day and looking forward to our meal this evening. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT to learn that you have discontinued the candied walnut and Asian pear salad!!! And in it's place....two salads with meat??? How is that equivalent??? Bring back my favorite salad!
Wow! I use to work at Claim Jumper and they were a great place to work for and I believe I was there at a time when it was a quality place. But after reading their reviews, I don't even think I want to visit the place. Geeze Claim Jumper.......clean up your act! Craig I met your son Nick Nickoloff when you guys opened the Scottsdale Restaurant, he seemed nice, got a sweater from him:) What happened to you guys???????
My whole familywent to Claim Jumpersto celebrate a birthday. As I am on limted income I don"t go out for dinner to often and I will never never go to Claim Jumpers in Tualatin, Oregon again.!!!!!! I ordered barbecued beef ribs and they were I swear.from a dinasour! Huge with no meat at all on them. The vegatables were cold also. I am aware that I should have sent them back but didn't want to make a fuss.I did write a note and sent the recipt to Claim Jumper management and received no reply. I feel that I should get a refund. Like that's going to happen!
If you thought buying a delicious restaurant chain, then destroying it's menu was a good financial idea, you should spend a little less time crunching numbers and listen to what people are willing to pay for, good food and good service. If I wanted a cheap meal I would go to mcdonalds, you cancelled all the good menu items and hired cheap dumb-asses for managers. I would kick your economics teachers cause your business is going to go bankrupt real soon. Only bringing back the blue cheese wedge can save you now, with real bacon don't try baco's, or just go broke.
Bring back blue cheese wedge or go out of business
I just had what ended up being a terrible time visiting your location in Mission Viejo, CA. First while exiting the booth to look at the salad bar, I ended up hitting my head on the curled out design on the upper right side of the wooden booth. It's 5 p.m. and it still hurts. Twice while eating our lunch the waitress, who acted like she was on Valium, cleared some of the plates away while I was till eating. The french fies that were delivered cold and later replaced arrived near the end of our lunch and when I finally got to try a few she had taken away all the ketchup. I was so disgusted by everything at this point but did not complain because we were celebrating my son's birthday and I wanted to leave on a positive note for him. I will never go back to this restaurant again. On a positive note, your hostess was awesome and very nice.
Went to Vegas location tonight. You always had my favorite fish n chips. But you changed the recipe, and it's just not the same. You also took away the apple cinnamon muffin. These two things always kept me coming back. Unfortunately these changes will probably keep me from coming back.
My experience at the Claim Jumper in Monrovia Ca was not a good one. The new way of serving Fish & Chips is to dump all the dropped crust over the top of the fish and serve it like that. My friend's hamburger came almost raw. I have gone there for years and after this experience will not return.
I am now an EX-Fan.....I bragged to my friend about Summerland Claim Jumpers...WRONG!!!!! What happened to you guys.....BAD food, rude service, nasty management???? Wow what a disgrace....THREW OUT THE FOOD AND MY MONEY!!!!
someone in quality control needs to see an eye doctor-they have been leaving out gravy packs in the frozen foods. Very disappointing.
Went to your Arcadia location. Ten tables with people and it took twenty minutes to get a menue, fifteen to get order placed and another ten minutes for waitress to come back with info, and twentyfive to get the food, which was delivered to wrong table and another few minutes before the other table called the waitress to take it away. The sour dough rolls were cold and totally sucked. Beef ribs not what they used to be. Salad bar is in the toilet, spilled food all around it. Desert was really good. Men's restroom stunk, dirty, floor by urinals was horrible, no towles. The staff was nice enough but uncoordinated. It is sad to see the place sink. I went there from day one and used to thoroughly enjoy the whole experience but I can tell you I'll never go back again. I am a business owner and this is written to another business owner. I don't see how you can resurect the place at this point.
