no perfume samples AGAIN

The staff is the MOST rude ever! I was shopping for my mothers' Day perfume, and wanted to try a different scent and made the FOLONY of asking for a few samples , to get a good idea where I wanted to go with it, but NOOOO!!! The make-up counter girl, haughtily stomped around like I had asked her some outrageous item. I am the niece of the Governor of Kentucky and drop large coin where I shop, but Belk will NEVER get a DIME of my families money again. DONE! No rating. Belks-Epic Fail! They have been in trouble about this before. But

what's w/the coupons?

I've been a Belk credit card customer for years. I frequently get coupons that really aren't any good on most things. This month I got a coupon because it's my birthday month. It has all the same restrictions. I got a birthday $10 off anything card from Kohl's. You might want to consider offering something people can use.

Disappointed

I am so disappointed in the direction that Belk is going! The style of clothing is atrocious the service is lacking and you have to do a couple of laps around the store to find someone to take your money when you do find something to purchase. Lately, on two separate occasions, I needed to purchase gifts for Bridal showers, the computers did not work in the store to mark which gifts were purchased. This happened in two separate cities, Leonardtown, MD and Roanoke, VA. The store in Roanoke is beginning to have a Walmart appearance, not very appealing. I hope someone who is in charge does something to correct problems and get some help for the customers!!

The McComb Mississippi store is deplorable. The temperature outside was 80 degrees and inside the store it was 90. When I inquired about the heat I was told nothing could be done about it. The dressing room was deplorable. Trash and dirt all over the floor and it stunk like dirty feet! I'll never go back.

Stinky and dirtiest dressing rooms I have witnessed!. I can't imagine that the clothes are clean after they have tried on by customers and touched the floor. Also, they coupons all the time but somehow they're not good on most everything you want to buy.

Belk's customer service is not worth giving a rating. The mangers in the store get their attitudes from the managers in the corporate office. Belk should be grateful people want to shop there with the clothing line that they carry.

Unknown policy

Cancelled my card of 40+ years .... Was not adequately informed of policy that spending limit was reduced when card not used..(..it had been ) not able to shop due to illness .... Was treated rudely ... Not darkening their door again !!!!

Phone menu

Your phone menu is the worst I have ever used. I received a new card and there was nothing on the paperwork that said I did not have to activate it (like every other card in the world) Your phone que is USELESS - I am a computer programmer and ANYONE could have done a better job on the que.

Customer Service

I just want to share a beautiful experience with two of your employees at the Belks store on Haywood Mall Greenville SC.I recieved the best customer care from Jenny and Margaret in the Ralph Lauren Dept. Their performance was just Great!!!I been shopping t Belks for twenty years .I always received excellent customer care .But yesterday it went that extra mile .My presale was misplaced they both take the extra time toi find it.Wearing that beautiful smile they always have.I kept telling them it I don't really need it but the both insist on finding it /Which took about a half an hour when they finally found it .Thank you

disgusting ad

how disgusting to receive sale flyers and one particular one has spring intimates and the back page shows a half naked girl wearing "barely there" undies. her butt is highly exposed, this is absolutely revolting to see. It is not necessary to see this!. Shame on you!

Unreliable Website

Yesterday I received the Belk cataloge for the March 3-5 sale. On the front ia a Biltmore comfoter set set that I knew would be perfect for my sister for her birthyday this week. At 9AM CST this morning I went to their website, lookedup the conforter and found that the set was not available. I can not tell you how disappointed I was. Since I needed to send a gift I did choose another quilt set. Imagine my amazement when several hours laterI found the conforter set I originally wanted was available. I quickly called customer service so I counld cancel the first order and then order the set I really wanted. Unfortunately this could not be done. The only option I had was to return the 1st quilt when it arrived...this I could not do as it is being sent as a gift to the giftee. I will be very reluctant to order anything from Belk as their Website is unreliable...how can I know that items I want are truely available or unavailable is true???? Since there are no changes after one hour the risk is to high. My sister will enjoy the quilt I did send but I will always know that it should have been better...Thanks Belk!

I used to work for belk. I recently got fired for telling someone to give my mother my associate discount. I was told that "immediate family" only applies to spouse or child under your custody. I was there 3 years without even a single write up. I was done so wrong. After I left, the manager told everyone what happened, which is a violation of my privacy. I am outraged. I will never set foot in that crooked store again, and REGRET getting a belk card. I would give it NO stars if I could.

Terrible Customer Service across the board

Every person I came into contact with at this store was rude. I could not believe it. There are so many other places to shop. Most people shop where they feel they are treated fairly or enjoy themselves. I will never shop at any Belks again.

my review like their clothes, but their customer service has alot to be desired, have shopped at several, just really bad customer service, and I will not be shopping there only in emergencies. It doesn't matter what location.

I worked for Belk E-commerce center. Let me tell you, they don't care about customer service. They only care about Belks.

Rude employee

Waited today 5 minutes to pay off my bill only to be told by a rude employee that I can't pay my bill by debit.....are you serious! She never sad I'm so sorry it's our policy. I would have understood had she done that. Here's what she said...you have to pay cash r check. If their hadn't been a couple behind me I probably we'd have told her off. Great Manager

I was shopping in store on 12/17/12 when I attempted to use my coupons. I wasn't allowed not even one because of the fine print. I had shopped for hours and was so angry when I was refused to use my coupons. I paid out in shoes because it was the shortest line. I told the lady when I paid out I'd never shop there again and a few more things about the coupons falsely getting people like me in the store and it was a total rip-off. I was half way to the door when a manager named Jessica took me to the register, talked to me very kindly and took my coupons and used them for me. I was so grateful and happy. I will shop in Belk again and I just wanted to say thanks again Jessica, Morristown, Tn. store.

hurt and piss off

I used to love belks spend hundreds of dollers in there store until one day I was shopping I grab a pair of pants and a picture fell on my foot . called the girl that was working she look me in the face then turn her head. I had to hop on the other side of the the store to get help. there are some me hateful people in this world i was hurting and she thought it was a joke my foot still hurts from time to time but i will live. talk to corporate they seem like they do not care hey act like you your telling a lie. it hurt they way people treat you when you have spend your hard earn money with them all the time it is was it is i guess

in-store shopping

It has been a while since I have been to a mall, but after today I will never set foot in a Belk store. The store displays were awful, mainly the men's department, clothes piled up every where in every which way…..unbelivable. It looked like a big ware house deep discount store. I was so overwhelmed, felt claustrophobic and had to find an exit as soon as possible. No wonder people don't like to shop any more in stores.

I placed an order online for 79.83 and Belk is holding this amount x 2 for 4-7 business days to make sure they get their money. I was told that this is normal in the industry, but it is done to insure they recieve their money. What about the normal people who only order what they can afford and have no idea that Belk holds your order amount x 2. Had I known this I would not have made the order, so now I my bank account is overdrawn and BELK DOES NOT CARE!!! This will be the last time I do business online or in their store. To bad my little bit of money won't effect them, but believe me I will pass along this information along to my friends and family that use your service as well. ANOTHER UNHAPPY X-CUSTOMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
