Extreme dissappointment

Bought chairs in Dec. 2014, and I have had nothing but issues. Fabric puckered, flawed, unevenly sewn seams, cushions which did not fit, cushions which lifted and extremely poor workmanship. Bassett has replaced them 3 times, but recent replacement of Jan.22, 2015 is worse than all the previous chairs. Definitely not worth the money I spent.... and these are going back. There is no excuse for the lack of quality.

Worst quality and costumer service

I bought my bedroom furniture for a high price but very cheap quality. When I received them a couple or drawers were not closing proper. I Had to call the costumer service three times and they wouldn't care about it. Then I had to go back to the store and they treated me really bad and told me to call costumer service.... The first time I went to bassett on blossom hill rd they were. Dry nice but as soon as I sighn the papers they were done with me. I wish I could give them 0 star

Worst Customer Service ever

Your Paramus, NJ location is by far the worst in the industry. The lack of customer service and dedicated employees is severely lacking. Have had an unresolved problem since August. No manager is ever available to speak with us. We have two room of Bassett furniture. This will be our final purchase.

Buyers beware!!! I regret not reading these reviews before I decided to purchase a Bassett sofa from the Southlake store. The Customer Service at the corporate office is very poor. The representative did not answer the phone when I called during business hours and did not return my call until I contacted the store salesman who subsequently sent her an email requesting she contact me. She was unprofessional, rude and accusatory. I followed up my dissatisfaction with an email to the central corporate office and receive no follow-up. A technician came to my house to photograph my damaged sofa and that was the last I heard from them. I finally called a professional to repair the damage and he informed me that the entire back of my leather sofa and the front of my sofa under the seat cushions are not leather but man-made material. The sofa was labeled and sold as a leather sofa. There was no mention of the man-made material on the website description, in the pamphlet description or when speaking with the salesperson. The sofa is being described and sold as a leather sofa and is priced accordingly. My experience left me feeling this company is not reputable.

Treated like CRAP

Never AGAIN! I have never been treated so crappy by someone I was trying to give money to. Should have read the reviews first!

I purchased a bed frame back on July 7, 2012 and were told that it would be delivered in 4 to 6 weeks. I called the store on the 6th week and to find out that it was on back order. I never received any communication from the store that this item was on back order. I was told at that time that the item would be shipped on Aug. 29th and it should be here the first or second week of September. Again, I had to contact the store to find out the status and was told that there was an email sent on Friday to find out status. Today I did finally receive a call to only be told that a portion on our item is available and the remainder should be shipped by the end of this week. Its now been 5 weeks since the time that we should have received item and now we are being told since it’s a “special order” we cannot cancel. We did our part, we paid for our item and for some reason Bassett doesn’t seem to care or every be penalized for the lack of communication and the delivery of our item. Let me tell you, I will never purchase anything from Bassett again nor will I ever recommend anyone to purchase from company. I don’t understand how we as a customer PAID in FULL for our item and here I am 3 ½ months later with no bed. I truly do not understand. If I could give a 0 star I would have.

I wish I had come to this website first before ordering my furniture thru Bassett. BIG MISTAKE!! First, I ordered myself a new new bed frame and box spring and mattress from Stearns & Foster. I waited a month for the items to arrive..why? I don't know... I specifically told the salesperson that I wanted to purchase furniture made in the USA. He assured me that my furniture was made in the USA. In fact, the reason I was told that it would take a month to receive was that the furniture is made to order. So, I am feeling good that I purchased furniture from the USA. My furniture arrived 2 days ago and stamped on the back of the headboard is "Made in Viet Nam". I am furious that they outright lied to me~! Not only that, but the mattress and box spring I received is not what I ordered. The manager from the store called me and said that the sku numbers changed as well as the name of the mattress..??? I am supposed to get a call from the Stearns and Foster representative. I have not yet. I am furious with Bassett Furniture and will never do business with them again. Advise that you do not also. I feel that they pulled the old "bait and switch" on me and just outright lied about the furniture..Can't trust them now and will never give them another dime of my money.

I ordered custom dining table and 4 chairs, waited 6 weeks for delivery and got the table and chair delivered and when I took the leaf out the two sides did not go together (one higher than the other) and a portion of the table a totally different color. I understand wood tones and slight variation but it looks like a 1/4 of the table was glued to the other portions. I also have one chair back the had marks on each side like something had been attached there while staining the wood ( not wood variation. Called their customer service and first wanted to send a tech out to move the mechanisims, no mechanisims issue, table is not made correctly. Sent photos of table and chairs and they finally agreed not a tech issus, will reorder table top and chair back but will take 6 weeks, REALLY!!! your error and you should put a rush on it.. called to check status table top has been there 3 weeks, chair back missing, finally located and they told me in was in production, it takes quite a lot of process for staining... really a chair back takes for time than a table with a leaf, it has been one excuse after another.. Now not getting call back regarding did my chair back come in since i was told on may 1st back in transit and it will take 10 days. Bassett has lousy follow thru for the price they charge and quality of furniture MADE IN THE USA is poor, where is the pride for workmanship. Next call corporate. they took my money and have enjoyed having it in their acct yet i have yet to receive a quality table and chair. Will not recommend you nor will I shop with you again and pay a high price for lousy service.

We purchased a sofa and a love seat from Bassett. Big mistake!!! This sofa is squeaky and sounds so bad, like it's 10 years old. They say a year warranty but they make you take it back 100 miles when it is their inferior furniture. I am suppose to delivery this sofa back to them. Then I am suppose to pick it up, again this is 100 miles. The customer service, I'll try and put it nicely, was not good. I am pretty sure they stuck us with their floor model, there was no tags or the guarantee. We will never ever buy any piece of Bassett furniture again especially from the Omaha,NE store. They really don't care once they have your money. Just be warned.

While I love my 2year old leather sofa and love seat.I have four grand babies theat two frequently visit,one of my grandbabies ws doing what she does bes climbing.She was doing on the back of the loveseat suddely she yelled out in pain,She had cut herself on the back of her big toe.We kept feeling around the back of the seat and found a nail sticking out of the leather.Thank God it was not has bad has it could.More quality check should be done.would like a response.

WHEN U SAY LIFETIME WARRENTY, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN TO U. DOES IT MEAN THAT THE PRODUCT WILL LAST A LIFETIME? WHAT IS CONSIDERED A LIFE TIME. U BETTER ASK BASSETT FUNITURE. BECAUSE A LIFETIME IS HOW LONG THEY WANT IT TO BE. WHAT EVER IS TO THEIR BENIFIT. THEY GIVE U A FALSE IMPRESSION. I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH BASSETT FOR FOUR MONTHS FOR THEM TO TELL ME THE MECHANISH ISN'T MADE ANYMORE. BUT THEY DIDN'T GIVE ME A NEW CHAIR. I EVEN PAID FOR THE SHIPPING AND A PERSON TO COME REPAIR IT ON OCT 24, 2011. THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE 2 MONTHS FOR THE MECHANISM TO GET HERE. I CALLED ON DEC 6TH TO HEAR THE CHAIR CAN'T BE REPAIRED BECAUSE THE MECANISM ISN'T MADE ANYMORE AND THEY CAN'T PUT A DIFFERENT MECHANISM ON IT. MY LIFETIME CHAIR CAN'T BE REPAIRED. I purchased Bassett dresser drawers and the drawers stick on the glides, poor quality for the high price. Shouldn't have to take a day off to wait for customer service to repair.

I bought a bedroom suite from Bassett Furniture in Buford GA in January 2011. I paid $3400 for this furniture. Within one month the bed slats have completely come apart. The slats were splintered and split in several places and the mattress would fall to the floor in the middle of the night. The slats were dinky and VERY cheaply made!! I called the store and the lady said, sure I will have someone call you about repairing your bed. Guess what... NO BODY EVER CALLED. Several days later I made another call to the store... I'm sleeping on the floor. Please send someone out. She said OK the repairman will be in your area in 2 weeks. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? 2 WEEKS? I said well make sure he brings new slats and more heavy duty slats because the ones on it now will never hold up. So a couple of weeks later the repairman shows up WITH NO DAMN SLATS! He said I will have to order those. They will be here in a couple of weeks and I have to order the same slats because that is what comes "standard" on that bed. I WAS SO UPSET!!! Sleeping on the floor for one month? No Way!!! I went and got me some wood and made my own slats. Basset Furniture is SUCKS!!!!!!!

We've been buying Basset furniture for years and have always been satisfied with the product and the customer service. However, this year we bought a dining room set and a bedroom set and noticed a remarkable difference in the quality of the furniture compared to the furniture we bought just a few years ago. We are very disappointed in the quality. Has it always been made in Vietnam? It was so bad that they are replacing some of it. Also, the sales people will tell you that their sofa cushions are guaranteed for life. Which implies that they will last a long time. What they don't tell you is that they only last about 18 months and that you have to pay almost $100 every time they come out and rip your sofa apart to replace one. We've been through this twice already. Sorry to say that Bassett has lost a valuable customer. If you stand for quality and the customer pays for quality, you should get quality.

I purchased a sofa and loveseat in Jan. and it was delivered in Feb. To my dismay it was not what I ordered. Wrong height and much to high. I had told salesperson that I could not use anything higher than 35". I picked out one that was 34" and said that was perfect. To make a long story short, the sofa and loveset are 39" high. I have been trying to get this resolved since the day it was delivered. (over a month) I would not do business with Bassett furniture in Jacksonville, FL. ever again.

This company has terrible customer service! They give you a 1-866 phone number to call - a furniture delivery service answers this line then transfers you to another number which is supposedly the customer service line. You will never talk to a human. I have left 10 messages and not a return phone call. So they are "johnny on the psot" to sell you the product and don't give a hoot about anything after you pay and walk out the door. Rooms to Go has better CS than this! I won't go back.

I made a purchase on the 19th of December; a salesperson brought the rug to my home on the 20th. I thought the color would be okay; however it will be too light for all the traffic that goes on in my home. I phoned back within 72 hours and spoke with someone who said the manager would phone back. She states that she can not accept the returns. I have a $3600 purchase that I have not received and now I am receiving this static. I opened an account plus gave them a $600 personal check. This is very poor customer service or satisfaction to the customer. THis makes me know I will never want to set foot in another Bassett store. THe fact that they know I was trying to decide if it would work in my home makes me even more upset. THis is the store in Pleasant Hill, CA.

HAVING BEEN TRYING TO CALL THIS NUMBER FOR SEVERAL HOURS. ITS BUSY. I AM ON MATTRESS #4!!!!! BASSETT FURNITURE DOES NOT BELIEVE IN REFUNDS! EVEN IF U ARE ON MATTRESS #4! SEALY COMPANY SAYS BASSETT FURNITURE BUSY THE MATTRESS FROM THEM SO THE WOULD HAVE TO DO ALL REFUNDS N TRANSACTIONS! IM HAVING TO WAIT ANOTHER MONTH TO EVEN GET THE "SAME MATTRESS" THATS KEEPS GETTING 4 INCH DIPS. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. THIS IS MY SECOND APP IVE FILLED OUT ONLINE CONCERNING THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY. BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU IS NEXT.. IM NOT SATISFIED WITH THIS COMPANY AT ALL.. THANKS ALOT!!
