there was one location in staten island and they closed down without telling any one i have a life time membership and now im screwed if i want to work out they are telling me that i have to go to brooklyn pay a toll or jersey and also pay a toll plus dont forget gas is very expensive and they dont care when u call and complain they do nothing for u u get someone in costa rica

My wife called to get a replacement card. She was charged $20 for the card and then told she had to pick the card up. She called the corporate office and they said they would credit the $20 since we did not live near a Bally's for her to pick up the card and they refused to mail it. They NEVER credited the credit card.

Hi, Most of the Bally's clubs in Los Angeles and Arizona are dirty and not kept up. It's amazing they have not all been shut down by local health inspectors.

Ms.B - wow ... nice to see that you have your priorities straight with that disgusting comment about Madj Altwal's name (and I understand that it's a jab at his ethnicity). I too, belong to the Sterling Heights, MI club and have only had a great experience there. No issues with cleanliness and my children love the Kid Zone there. If you are so unhappy, why not apply for a job there as the GM (you must be in your 40's or older since you have a problem with Mr. Altwal's age). Clearly you think you have enough experience to run the club better, although I'm not sure most of the clientele would appreciate your nasty attitude about people who might be different than you. Maybe you could upgrade the club by profiling before you sign people up, too..?! Do me a personal favor and go somewhere else.

I went to Ball's to sign up for a membership. They took all of my information. Before I had even received my membership card and used the gym I came down with cancer. Called Bally's to cancel my membership and now I am being charged through a collection agency. Why should I have to pay for a service that I never was able to use. You would think they would have cancelled my membership like I was told they would. Now that I have recovered 2 years later , I will NEVER use their services again.

These people dont care if you lose your money! They just shrug their shoulders and apologize, well, that isnt going to happen to me. I was the "Buyer" for a non-contract service with them and placed my teen son as a member. My son had to enter a school program unexpectantly and I wanted to continue the receive services but I cannot "transfer" my son's attendance to me. Why not? I am the buyer, I pay for the services, not my son. So they gave me a 14 day pass. I told the staff guy, I wanted more passes. He told me he could get in trouble. I am going to corporate asap and complain to either get my money back or let me attend. Then I'm going to do a Rip-Off report online!!! If they think I'm giving them $89 bucks, they're nuts!

Riverside CA, Ballys in riverside is also very dirty, most showers dont work,tiles in sauna broken and very dirty.

Do not sign up for any training sessions at Bally's there is no continuity of trainers. You train with an individual and then after awhile they move them elsewhere, leaving you to acclimate yourself with another trainer.

Worst ever! Board of Health needs to shut down Sterling Heights, MI club yesterday! Filthy conditions everywhere! Lies, lies, lies from 20-something supossed GM Majd Altwal! Yep, that's his name alright, right here in the U.S.A. Disgusting

Had the worst experience in the Wayne, NJ location. I went in with a guest and the sales manager demanded my guest give him money; he claimed that my guest was there before and that the computer read he was only allowed to go there for 1 week, when in fact the security was so bad that the girl at the front desk ignored my guest; therefore, nobody took his information, yet this Sales manager (Jose) said it was in there and did not want to show me. How can he be in the system if the front desk person paid him no mind and did not even want to bother, she was too busy on her phone TXT. The bottom line is that the sales manager needs to be retrained and not say that he own that Bally's location. He needs to treat potential customers (my guest) with respect and not DEMAND money! Wayne, NJ worst gym ever, not only are the managers there rude and arrogant,but the gym is dirty and smelly as well.

Bally's sucks. The gym in Southwest Dallas is ghetto. The female employee there in the morning and noon hours is very rude and trashy. They are crooks and a bunch of thieves. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!

that is true they are a scam....even their employees are lairs .... they get you to sign the contract with lies. They told me I can cancel anytime I want.. no obligation. Now they say you signed the contract and you can not cancel. This happened at Overland Ave. and Venice blvd. branch in los Angeles. "Don't Go to Balleys".... I will tell everyone I see for the rest of my life... I will be your living anti-advertiser for good... with my family members.... So people at Balleys... was it wroth it thieves?

I enjoyed the gym while I had my membership there. When it came time to cancel my membership I sent the written letter in to confirm that I wanted to end the membership. I found out years later that they were still taking money out of my account. What kind of shady scam is this? I should have been better at balancing my account but this is crazy. I called them to give them a piece of my mind. They put me on hold and I am actually here writting this complaint 1 hour and a half stillll waiting on this guy to come to the phone. I think Im going to call corperate now. This is some serious b.s.
