Called and signed up to be an Avon rep. Two days later met with leader and rep-- contract signed and everything started ok. The Avon leader has an office just two blocks from my house. Next, tried to register and sign up online so I can place my orders. Entered my account number etc. and could not sign up. The web site would close down. Left a phone message to the Avon leader--this time did not return my call, so I called the district office in Pasadena, California, Mr. Romero, district manager. Every time I entered my account number on the phone, it would reply that my account number belonged to an Annette ---so, finaly said I was she and got through the district office phone after explaining to a customer rep and left a message for a Mr. Romero. He returned my call in the early evening and said he would call me back within a couple of hours--and he never did!! Since then have called the Avon leader Veronica several times and she has not returned my calls. What is going on!!! If someone in corporate could give me some answers, I would appreciate it. My question is: "How can Avon hire and keep such incompetent people in their employ as leaders and managers? Edel Delagarza Williams
My new manager is usless. She has NEVER sold Avon. She was a Mary Kay rep. She cant help us because shes never sold. What was Avon thinking when they hired her. At meetings she is more interested in texting on her cell than answering questions. I guess you have to have a relative in Avon in order to get a managers job. Her aunt is a big recruiter in Avon. The division manager Emily Ashmore also had a relative in Avon her mother! Wouldn't it make since to pick managers that have at least SOLD Avon before.First time meeting her I heard her tell a new rep that" I wouldn't get caught dead in Avons clothes, they are tacky and cheap looking" she was telling this to a new rep that I had just signed up. There are really good managers , but not this lady!
I really like and use some Avon products and have for years. I even sold it for a few years! But I am really disappointed in some of the advertisements out right now. Avon seems to have fallen into the same category as those that exploit women or picture them as to be selling sex, rather than Avon products! Two thumbs down with this type of advertising!!!
Hello, I have been a repesentive with Avon for over 5 years. My problem is with returns. I know I am not the only one who've experience this. Every time I return items they are never calculated accuratly. If i return 12 items I will only get credit for 8 and now they can't seem to find the rest of the items. This just didn't happen suddenly but I hear from other rep that the have the same experience. You would think that they will do some checks and balances. Now when I request to speak to someone or make a complaint online via "contact us" I get the same automated respones-blah blah blah. I can't believe they aren't even smart enought to change up the message. Now I can't even do my returns because no one has responded. Noe I am taking it straight to the corporate office-hopefully I will receive some help.

dont work for avon your leader will screw you over the leader that i worked for and two other people that work with we did order none of the product and the leader is the one that was doing all of it are account for three of us is over 1269.48 and the head leader tod us dont worry that we will take it off and never did now i turn them in it is bullshit that they believe someone instead of us we are not paying for that when we didnt put ant orders in
Avon headquarters in New York City decided to move some of their operation and hired a Sub- Standard (Local# 1212 NOT RECONIZED BY THE NEW YORK CITY BUILDING TRADES)moving company named Sher- Del, instead of hiring a Teamsters Local# 814 company (THAT IS RECONIZED BY THE NEW YORK CITY BUILDING TRADES. Sure they saved money on the move upfront, but it probably cost them double to replace everything that was stolen by the Rikers Island crew Sher-Del hired to move them. Good for you greedy Avon Corporation. I hope you learned your lesson for next time!
I have been an avon representative for fifteen years. I have achieved beauty advisor status, I am an e-representative and have my own website and have at various times achieved modest success. It's been enough to keep me going till yesterday when I recieved a very upsetting call from my district manager. She asked me for payment on an admittedly delinquent debt. I explained that I was having financial trouble because my husband was very ill, didnt have insurance and I had payed the last of my check on his prescription and the reason the payment was late was because all the customers didnt have the money when I went to collect and left me stuck with the bill for their product. I am on a fixed income, retired and only get my pension once a month. She proceeded to threaten to remove me as a representative permanently and said she really didnt want representatives who didnt pay their bills on time in her downline. I was shocked and very angry but told her I would be getting my pension the next day and could she wait till then but she told me three times how delinquent the account was and she needed payment. I got angry and said she would have to wait till the next day and very begrudgingly she told me if I paid it by noon she wouldnt revoke my representative status. Then the next day I had trouble logging in (I pay online) and was scared I was going to lose my business, but I finally was able to get on and pay. I have health problems and this caused me inordinate amounts of distress, which I dont need from her. I have just lodged a complaint to corporate, and dont know what I am going to do, she may remove me as a representative anyways when she finds out, but if the district managers are going to be more like bill collectors than people who support you and help you build your business I am not sure if I want to be invlved with them any longer. All I can say is anyone contemplating joining avon beware, my experience has had some pros but a lot more cons and I just dont know if it's worth the stress and trouble anymore.
as a avon rep for district 1407 i just dont understand how a company doesnt know there own inventory, i had to cancel a 2221.10 transaction because avon the company im trying hard to work for dont have the product, so i spoke with my costumer i had her change her mind and she decided that instead of that order she would like to get the more expensive one for $23.00 for the qty of 120 , make that order 2953.95 with tax , and no one can tell me if u have it on hand so she can get this all in one order, it is unbeleivable, that i would have to place the order charge her credit card just to get a email saying oh we wont have it until two to three campaigns down the road., if this is how avon works i might have to hang up the hat and go somewhere else that can give me a straight answer, called 6 people on 6/30/2011 to cancel two orders that cant even do that right, now im get charged for something that i didnt even order,i have to wait for the shipment to turn around ship it back to get a credit, i am hoping that someone in the higher ups cant rectify this situation so i dont lose high dollar orders
I am disappointed. I signed up online to be a sales rep for Avon about a week ago. I got a garbled phone call from what I am guessing is the district rep for my area. she said she would meet me on monday to set up my business. Monday I didn't hear anything from her by afternoon so I called her. Another garbled phone call but I got that she was going to come Wed. b/c something came up with her on Monday (Thaks for calling me instead of letting me wait all day for you to show up). Ok let's jump to WEd. I wait around all day Wed. no show no call. Today is (well officially) Sunday still no show or call. How rude and direspectful of my time. I would like to sell Avon but if this is how things work on a regualar basis then I may have to change my mind. I live in a small town called COrry Pa outside of Erie Pa. I am hoping maybe there is another district rep I could go through and maybe would be a little more respectful of my time and be more reliable.
I think Avon is a great company and I have been in President's Club for 3 years. I love having my own business. My only complaint is this -- I purchase many samples to talk up many perfumes and then when the customer decides to finally order, AVON has discontinued the scent. It's very frustrating...50's GLAM was an excellent perfume and many women in their 50's and 60's loved that scent but they pulled it. I have a box full of samples of perfumes that no longer exist. Wasted hard earn money to promote my business and grow AVON but can't distribute them now because the perfume is no longer available. Great support on the phones and orders have been coming almost perfect so thank you for that. :)
My name is Irene, I live in Rialto,CA and up till last week I sold Avon Products. I'am glad that Avon's Head Office gets five stars, because as far as their Office in Pasadena, California they get ONE STAR. It seems they can't send a person who sells for them a Correct order.
Avon does many wonderful things for lots of people. As a woman I have many obligations on a daily basis and dont often get recognized fo all the things i do. Avon though does recognize their employees and I am proud and grateful to be part of the Avon family. They empower women, fund schooling, sponsor many organizations and reward and recognize their Representatives, etc. etc...
Sorry for your decision to reject oil products from Alberta oil sands.one million people are directly or indirectly in someway employed by the spin offs. You should study and research more closely what the oil sands do for the country and their enviromental and reclamation practices todate before you make such decsions, but maybe Avon prefer to have blood oil from the middle east instead. Stupid is forever, ignorance can be fixed.I shall along with thousands of people support the partition being sent around and refuse to purchase anymore Avon products from your company.
I recently spent 4 hours (4 HOURS) on an Avon site to order products. I was unable to check out to pay for my purchase---------------have no idea why.-------- I contacted an Avon"help" person to no avail-----------I wrote to Avon on the 22nd of November but they did not get back to me until the 28th. When I tried again to access the site to order again---------------my purchase items had disappeared from the site---------------I wrote to Avon again- requesting help-they sent back a letter that I was unable to follow instructions. So far they have not responded to my last letter on the 28th of November---------------I cannot believe the terrible customer service I have exsperienced at Avon.I have been unable to do a simple purchase of items. I did not want to use my local Avon lady because I wanted to purchase with my credit card.Penny Larrett ----disgusted with Avon
