.9999 cent only now store?
Recently visited a store location in Arizona and noticed on my receipt the charges were no longer 99 cents but .9999. 59 cent items were .5999. Appears a name change and signage needs to be completed. While on each visit it may add up to pennies more paid but I would think it adds up quite a bit based on the amount of sales they do daily.
Expired Products
7 June 2013 -- On several occasions have brought 99 cent employees/supervisors attention to expired products (candy, gum, etc.) To avoid being sued over a sick child, I suggest the following: 1) Create purge schedule based on product expiration date. 2) Assign different employee weekly (successive employee can double-check work of prior employee & use for review as needed.) 3) Reward customers who alert store employees to expired product with free purchase (warn employees that fraud will cost them their jobs and possibly result in a lawsuit) Good luck!
Lock up Carts
I couldn't have been happier to get a 99cent store in Rohnert Park, CA. The offers are ridiculously low compared to all the grocery stores around. The products are cheaper than Walmart. But, if you don't go to the right PARKING LOT, the carts literally LOCK UP. I met 3 very very disgruntled patrons today at the store. Myself.......I parked within 50 feet of the front door in CLOSER parking lot and could NOT get my heavy groceries to my car. The cart locked up. Thank God some nice people carried all my groceries to the car for me. How ridiculous is it to have carts that don't head NORTH East? now that takes the cake for this 64 yr old.
Satisfied Customer
My wife and I have only visited the 99cent stores in the Reno-Sparks Metropolitan Area in Nevada ,both stores are clean and well stocked. We are both satisfied customers.I do not know the manager of either store and just one employee at the Sparks store, but each visit has been fun, inexpensive while delivering quality name brands too.
Bullied/Harassed by manager of 99 cent only Garden Grove
To Whom it May Concearn, I would like to start off by stating that I shop at the 99 cent only store several times a week, yet never have I been so humiliated, bullied and scared during a shopping experiance in my entire life. I want to know what exactly is your policy on suspected shop lifters? I've worked as a math teacher for the past 16 years. I know at my place of employment we have very strict rules regarding that issue. I am simply bewilldered how this manager of the Garden Grove location (who refused to tell me her name) simply decided not only to wrongfully accuse me of shopplifting but herself bully me. The most shocking moment was when I was actually verbally assulted and threatened with physical violence by another coustomer (I believe due to racial reasons) all right in front of 2 checkers and the manager. I worked hard to hold back my tears but I was so upset I was phisically shaking. The nightmare continued when I left the store, the coustomer who threatened me earlier was sitting in her car in font of the entrance to the store, who proceeded to follow me yelling threats. UNBELIVABLE!
My favorite Dollar Store
L loved these stores. It's amazing as to what one can find in these stores. They are franchised, so each is owned individually. therefore, the way they are run and kept will vacillate. We have to9 drive a considerable distance to get to one here, but it is worth it. The only criticizm I have is t hat the ajsles are not marked as to where what is located. Corporate could have t hese signs made and sell at their cost to their franchisers. Too, corporate could hire someone to go around to their stores to correct the bad features, which would be helpful to both their stores and franchisers.
Store in Northridge ca on Reseda Blvd
This store is not being manageed well. I just went over there to get a birthday card and there card selection was almost completely empty. The store is not kept clean either. We should not have a store like this in Northridge.
GERM INFESTED
Since there is no one who wipes/cleans anything ever in the store, maybe you should provide the towels for customers to wipe things off themselves! I have been to the 99 cent store off Pico in San Clemente and both times my daughter has had to go to the doctor for CROUP! WTH!!?? Please provide a safe CLEAN enviroment for customers to shop!
Some world we live in
I've been working for 99 cent only store for more than 2 years now and when I first started working here I wondered how this store made so much from dollar items but as time went on I realized that this company is a shitty one where they just take advantage of you while the storage manager is out with our district manager secretly seeing each other even though it is clearly stated in the company policy couples with relationships are not to work with one another yet they have each other back. For example when my manager was changing her hours saying she worked a 12 hour day but in reality came in that day late and left early for a real workday of 6 hours. Some good example of management that is.
Hilltop Dr store Redding CA
employees need to be trained in customer relations....husband and I were approached at the entrance by shady looking people asking for money...we complained to employees and were told to call 911 and laughed at...we ended up leaving without making a purchase...on our way out a man was urinating in the corner of the entrance while two people were sleeping against the building...I don't understand how a business allows this type of behavior from employees...and allows this type of thing to go on at the entrance...the cigarette smoke is terrible at the entrance...the inside of the store is filthy and employees are rude..
On Wednesday, October 17, 2012, I stopped at your 99 cent Only Store located at 716 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. It was about 11:00 a.m. I had selected a lot of Halloween and household items and headed to the check-out registers. There was only one open – and there were nine carts in line (besides me). People just came lining up and when I saw this was becoming impossible, I asked the checker if he couldn’t open another register. He said “No. He’s at lunch.” So there we were. Just standing and waiting as the line grew longer. I finally said I couldn’t wait and that I’d just leave my near-full cart there. No response from your employee. I went outside and was followed by two women with their cart full of unchecked items. As they headed to their car, I saw the checker who was on his lunch break and told him that those women were loading their cart and getting ready to just drive away. He just looked at me and said (this is a direct quote)...”I’m at lunch.” and returned to his cell phone conversation. Interrupting his call (again) I asked where the manager was. He responded that the supervisor was at the register. I guess he felt he didn’t need to be involved since he was at lunch. I went back into the store and proceeded to the only register open and told the supervisor what I had just seen. He wasn’t concerned. Not even a little bit. His answer was “There’s nothing I can do about it.” and he just went on checking. I might add that by this time the line must have had at least 10 or 12 carts waiting to check out. What more could I do? I just left, wondering how often this happens. Maybe the answer is to just do what those women behind me did... fill up the cart and leave. It appears that the 99 Cent Only Store has neglected to train employees in professionalism and in courtesy. I just had to share this with you, since there’s no one at the South Boulder Hwy store who cares. I believe someone should seriously look into this and (hopefully) let me know what, if anything, you plan to do. This is serious.
the new manager you have in the palm desert ca store is byas he not nice he nave say good moring or ant greeting poor chories

I do not enjoy being treated like a shop lifter. This is the way I feel when, after PAYING FOR MY GOODS, I am FORCED by the guard at the door to show my receipt. Are you trying to act like WalMart? I stopped shopping at WalMart, NOW IT SEEMS AS IF I SHALL Have to do the same with your store. It's a shame, since I was one of your first customer when you opened your first store in Phoenix!!!
I have been shopping at the 99 cent store in Dallas, TX located at 3632 Frankford Road since it opened. I am completely disappointed in the way the employees are treated. EVERY SUMMER THEIR A/C BREAKS !!! They make their employees work in 110 degrees heat and they have no choice but work or get fired. It is completely miserable for shopping but only in the summer. I had to leave the store Sunday July 29th because it was so HOT I felt sick to my stomach!! The employees looked like they were about to faint. EVERY SUMMER THIS HAPPENS AND UPPER MANAGEMENT GIVES THE SAME EXCUSE AND SONG. THEY ARE WORKING ON IT- THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO SEND SOMEONE TODAY - LIES LIES LIES - Instead of getting another vendor to fix the problem they keep using the excuse that they have to let the current vendor repair the A/C. I . I hope someone with Corporate pays attention to this rating. I plan to call today and if there are no results in 48 hours I am planning to see if Fox 4 News would like to have the story of what is going on at this store. God forbid that someone dies from heat exhaustion.
Hello,I been shopping in your 99 cent store 2515 Somerville Rd, Antioch California for couple of years.I really like going to that store its closer to my home. On three difference occasion the manger of this store she talk down to her workers around customer like they're not human, very unprofessional because some of them can't speak english good. hello i have a complaint for the store number 114 its located in culver city this store is very dirty the food is sometimes past there due date and the fruit is never kept fresh its always sticky its always hot in there o dont think they ever put the air on i purchased produce items from this store and got sick the manager there is very rude her name is francisca i really feel something should be done about this thank you
I've been going to the Colton store on Mt Vernon for a long time and have seen the changes. I like it a lot.... but have been disappointed in their produce area. You really have to look carefully for spoiled produce that is hard to see in the wrapped containers. The mold is not very misable. So many flies around the bruised and spoiled fruit. Big disappointment in the selling of the eggs. You don't get a dozen for .99 cent any more. They cut the containers and sell it for 6 eggs for .99 cents. Not that's not right. People are hurting all around financially and this store goes out and do this to the customers. Palates in the produce area stick out that while you sort through the produce you trip. I saved an elderly woman from injuring herself when she tripped. Caught her in time before she hit the bin. I will continued to shop there but am very careful on my purchase. Also make sure they are not past sell dates. Have found some that are 4 months past. For the ladies: be advised that the restroom doesn't have soap or towels to wash your hands. Makes you wonder what the workers do to sanitize.
Stolen Wallet being investigated by Security at Harbor Store location in Costa Mesa... Purchased a 99 cent gift card. If that card was registered in some way shape or form to my name. I could through Loss Prevention and Investigation regain my property. "My wallet".. Most likely stolen from my bicycle outside of the store. If the card was registered, used by a criminal in the store, on camera... Then, a culprit would be arrested and charged. I would like the company top start registering cards to people's names so that theft can be detected.... My wallet was stolen at you Costa Mesa location... It has caused mayhem in my life. ...
