MARSHALLS OF LENOX store #0472 ,Manager LA TASHA Dupont, a poor manager, Disrespectful to employees Calling my wife turtle in front of customers. Scheduleing employees to come in at a certain time, when the employee shows up for work, she would change the schedule and tell the employee to go home. My wife had a diabetic attack and was in the hospital for three days, when she returned to work Latasha dupont said that she was terminated because she did not smile enough a customer said. She was told to clean out her locker and leave. With a smerk on her face LAtasha Dupont said " you're always welcome to come in and shop as a customer." My wife has worked at Marshalls for close to 9 years with notes of appreation written to the home office from customers. In those 9 years she has not called out sick for more than 5 times. She always went to work 45 minutes early and when asked if she could start work early because they were short staffed ,she would say yes. Please let your voice be heard. Opinions welcome. I WORKED THERE AS A LOSS PREVENTION AND I CAN TELL YOU FIRST HAND THAT THEY EVEN HAVE THERE BUYERS BUY MERCHANDISE FROM HOSTIPALS AND FROM THE GOODWILL.THEY ALSO BUY DAMAGED AND DEFECTIVE CLOTHES FROM OTHER STORES... AND THE SAME GOES FOR THERE FOOD AND ELECTRONIC'S .... IT'S BASICALLY A DOLLAR STORE IN DISQUISE.

I bought a pair of shoes yesterday for 47$ from Marshall's in Rome NY. I tried wearing them but they kept popping out of my feet. I tried to convince myself that maybe they will work out because they were so cute and I liked the way they looked. Finally I figured I should return them. Today I went to the store to return them and explained to the cashier that they kept popping out of my feet, she kept telling me that she can not sell them because they have been worn, I tried to tell her that maybe they should not be selling them because obviously they are a poor fit, but her and another cashier would not listen and kept arguing the same things. Later they called the office manager, Kevin, who, without even looking at the shoes said he cannot return them. One of the cashier used hyperboles such as "They're worn beyond belief" When I only had them for 12 hours. Finally she put my receipt in the bag and asked me if there is anything else I need! I called their customer service and spoke to someone who was no better than the employees in the store! She called the store and they repeated the same story to her and that was it? I have spent tons of money at this store before. never again! Unbelievable!

On July 12, 2012 I slipped on a "silica gel pack" from a shoe box , that was on the floor at Marshall's in Madison Wisconsin, causing injury to my left ankle, left knee, left hip, left wrist/hand and neck. I experienced immediate pain. After tellling the store Manager I would need to seek medical attention, Jana, (Store Manager)asked me to "please wait until tomorrow during regular business hours" to seek medical attention because it was around 7:30pm and "the main office" was closed. I asked if I could have an incident report completeded. She would only take down my name, address and phone number. I arrived at Urgent Care around 8pm that same night, was xrayed, given and injection, fitted with a neck collar and prescribed pain medication and muscle relaxer. On 7/13/12, still no call from Marshall's, so I called and was told "Jana" would be returning my call. Still no call, so now I'm contacting Marshall's Headquarters and an attorney. Possible ligament damage to my neck and my body continues to be in pain.

I worked for marshalls in Astoria Queens, and walked off the job, because what i found Very upsetting was the management's concern for workers. I came in with credentials for a management position, which I applied for, and was passed up for a pretty Latina female with a high school education. I'm a black male with a 4-year college degree. After being yelled at on the friday for no apparent reason but for the yeller to look bigger than me, I walked off the job. After working 2 days and 2 hours of one shift, I never received a check. In May I sent in a form for unclaimed wages: 33 DOLLARS FOR nearly 3 days WORK!!! I have never received an answer or a cent for working for marshalls. Even if I earned 11 dollars a day, which amounts to 2.65 cents an hour, at least give me that!

This evening my husband (I was with him) tried to exchange a pair of shoes he had been given as a gift for father's day. They were purchased last Sunday (it is Saturday). He had the receipt. The cashier left for a few minutes and she returned with a manager. She said that the shoes could not be returned since they were used and could not be resold. We were very surprised. We have gotten accustomed to pretty good customer service at other stores in our area, even online internet merchants, and we were pretty surprised and embarrassed. He had tried the shoes on that day he received them as a gift. He wore them for a few minutes - and happened to take our dog out for a walk (and we have a gravel driveway) so there was some gravel dust on the soles. When he came back in, he said his feet were hurting and realized they didn't fit him well. They've been in the box all week until we could go this weekend, and very surprised that customer service is not a priority for them. I even offered to wipe the dust off the rubber sole. It should have been more important to them that my husband would not be able to wear these shoes, and that he should have satisfaction and be able to pick out another pair that he would be happy with, but no, the bottom line was that the dollar was their concern. This attitude will drive customers away...... I have purchased some expensive items over the past years, but they just lost two customers (at least) over a $30 pair of shoes.

Yesterday evening I was racially treated in a very ill-manner by the Marshall manager by the name Ken L. Just when I was about to gain entrance into the store the manager made a comment about him closing the store by 9:23 pm. I ignored because, I'm a regular Marshall shopper but, shopped at other locations such as, in Prince Georges county, and Columbia in which I get outstanding service. I decided to go to my old neighborhood in Gaithersburg to shop but, was really appalled by the treated that I received. As soon as, i Walked into the store Ken L the manager made an announcement saying, the time is 9:28 pm when clearly it wasn't. I talked to him about and he refused to listen. He said and I quote,"MY TIME SAYS IT'S 9:28PM THAT WHAT WE GOING TO GO BY".When clearly he was announcing the wrong time. I expressed, how displease I was even though I was trying to get an outfit for my son's graduation I was treated in a very ill manner by Mr. Ken L.He needs to fix his time. I was wondering if marshall closed their stores before, the appropriate time across the country the management will be loosing a lot of money. I'm a loyal customer and I dont want to lose Marshalls like we lost Hecht's back in the day. lOCATION STORE:

That's the worst place to work. You do your level best and in at the end of the day your manager will treat like you have been sitting and resting all day long.i really feel like abusing ...I sometimes make like 3 credit cards in 8 hours and when I tell my managers they say OK not even a single word of appreciation ....I am a cashier but i have to work their like animal infact animals are not treated so badly as we at marshalls are treated ... please change your managers you will soon lose loose hardworking employees

I was vacationing in Myrtle Beach South Carolina and went to Marshalls since I shop there in my home town (Delaware). I went on a shopping spree, but in Marshalls experienced a very unprofessional supervisor when I called to complain about not receiving $40.00 of my merchandise. I called on the phone (5/26/11 at 10:48 am) and explained I was missing a bathing suit and a cover up. The supervisor placed me on hold and told me about 3 other bags left behind, but none were mine (really??). I told her I was handed one bag and with 1 pair of shoes and 3 clothing items I assumed one bag given to me was sufficient. The supervisor implied I left it on the counter, said I was yelling (which I was not) and stated she wasn't going to help me. I explained to her, I was from out of town, spent $40.00 and a lot of time, and wanted some empathy not blame on the customer and reasons why I don't have what I need. I was a little tiff about the experience but genuinely upset at her communication to me. This supervisor is the leader (today) of your team and did not know how to address a disgruntled, unsatisfied customer without offending me. I have NEVER had the experience with Marshalls and think it's ashame to have this person as the person the team looks to for resolution. Just wanted you to know, because I returned to the hotel that was packed with hundreds of people for bike week and told many of my poor interaction with the Marshalls staff. I exclude the lady I initially spoke to, she was nice.

Went Marshall's in Delaware on concord pike. If your not black don't shop there. They hate white people. Had to contact home office to file complaint against cashier and managers(and they had to nerve to tell customer my business. Really thought there was going to be a race riot.

What is wrong with the Marshalls store at Franklin Mills store in Philadelphia? It is a mess. The bathroom STINKS. The selection of merchandise is not equal to other Marshalls in the other counties. The store is unkept. I think that someone from your corporate office should make a surprise visit to this store. I have been shopping at this store since it opened and this manager just does not do her job. I have shopped at Marshalls in other states and they are kept nicer and have a better selection of merchandise. If you don't care, then I can see this store closing. I do a lot of shopping there, but I don't know if I will continue to shop at this store. I hope you do care. Thank you

I hate marshalls never again shop there @ the marshalls of the fox hills plaza they have the worest custer service there i hated when u bring clothes up to the register. With no tags and they take for ever to look for the price i waited 22 min for a price for a cheap shirt no name brand no more than 10 dollers. When the girl jessica can with a miacheal kors $35 dollers shirt cause it look similar but. I aurge for 10 min to talll the cashier cristina manger on duty the my shirt had a differnt name brand not the same qualty and color i fanily left with no shirt and. 32|min gone time is money and my not my money

I work at the marshalls store in grand rapids and am not happy. I was asked to do my paper work early because the store manager wanted to see me before i left. As we were walking to the office he asked me to put my hand out. I did,he then grabbed my hand and turned it over and slapped it. I yelled out "ouch, what did you do that for"? he replied your drawer was short last week. I have talked to another manager there about the situation and told her that i did not think that was appropriate and would like an apology. He has yet to do so and i am considering calling the district manager or corporate if he does not. He is rude to some of the other employees and has been talked to in the past. I was also told that if he acted unprofessionally one more time he was going to be let go. I have worked there over 8 months and have never had a conversation with the guy. And i am pretty sure that it is not taught that you can touch another employee if you feel like it or hit them for that matter.

Marshalls. Of fox hills plaza ,culver city I really dont like these store there ad says something new every day but when u go often they think ur stealling or doing sothing worng ....i sure that all there workers steall ..u ask why.. because they leave lots of name brand walltets with out hard tags pleze no mater whateveryone nows miacheal kors is expensive + most of there worker comment how custer steall yeah right all these stores r frade + theye dont honor the prices there lazy they dont check prices they make them up and when u return it a drag

Whats going on in Marshall's and TjMaxx ( sister company ) in Oregon ( Portland area ) is bigotry, racism, discrimination and mostly profiling !!!! We had enough this should be addressed !! Big class action suit is looming and if the owners care they should overhaul all the management team in that area ! I'm in the process of collecting evidence and signatures to make something moving towards that goal ! Everybody think that those stores are saving us money but on the other hand violating our civil rights !!! Shame on you !!! Your time will come to pay the price...

I just want to say the marshalls in southbay plaza is terrible the manager there I think which is named Anna is a very rude person she is not up fit for the job she seems very grouchy I think they need to find a better manager who knows how to work in the store the employees there are very nice and generous to others they are wonderful but the manager is an old grouch who needs to go please I.will be reporting her to higher people thank you

I just want to say Ronda is wrong, Sunset Hills rocks! The manager makes excuses instead of addressing the problem. What problem? Excuses, thats plural, sounds like your a repeat offender. You are probably one of those customers that wears clothes 2-3 times and then makes a return every week. Just saying, excuses. What does smoking have to do with anything that represents Sunset Hills customer service? Oh yeah, it doesn't.
