358 Reviews For Macys Headquarters & Corporate Office

I was a seasonal employee and were told our last day was January the 3rd, so I proceeded to look for a job had an interview, but then got an email from Macy's saying i could grab hours starting 22nd, so i had grabbed a total of 36.25/hrs that week and 13/hrs the next week. I work on 22nd, no problem then cam into work on 23rd and i tried to punch in and i couldn't so i called management and they said we are not taking any seasonal employees. I told them i received an email stating i could grab hours and did, I worked yesterday and nobody told me any different, nobody called me Monday to say not to come in, they waited till i got their. Then i ended up in the suicide/depression clinic for a week cause i just couldn't handle the stress of not paying my bills. They get government benefits to hire people and they shouldn't. Macys is all about the almighty 50% profit! When i was told to leave nobody was in the 2 departments to wait on anyone. Mishawaka Indiana Macys of all Macy's i use to shop is the worst.

I work at Macys Nortgate (California) for 7 years. I love my job, my clientels, my co-workers, department managers are fantastic!!!! always very helpfulll and coaching me to get better in my scorecard.I love the magic of macys .Rebecca Rudolff our store manager is one of the best exemplo for all of us macys employers to get successuful she is very positive, always smaling ,polite, hard worker, fair. She makes me feel confident at work. Melissa (HR) is fantastic too very professional, polite, fast feedbackand she really knows the HR job polices, rules etc when you need help it. I am gald to have the opportunity to work at macys .

I applied to the Macys opening in my town only to be told that 25 years of experience and skills in retail is not what they are looking for! No wonder customer service at Macys sucks, they want to hire only minimum wage associates who don't show they don't care about the customer and are using this job as a rsume builder and usually vacate the position after summer. People talk of deals in Macys, what deals? What customer service? Personally I have not experienced any of it and am glad Macys didn't want to interview me. Macys you reap what you sew! (No investment means no return!)

As a former employee at Macy's (southpark mall san antonio Tx) I can say my experience there has made me hate retail all together. Half of these reviews are spot on. I had co workers who treated the people who came into the store like crap and all they care about is their damn sales goal. Which is really stupid by the way. Does any other clothing store have "sales goal" for their employees? Not to mention the managers there chose favorites. Which would explian why I recived 3 paychecks that cut my pay when I had proof I worked over time the only thing she said to me is"well the computer won't let me fix it" BS! I would advise everyone not to waste your money there. The stuff is way too over priced and we send out so many discounts and "loyalty rewards" just to get the stuff off the sales floor. And if you even think about working there don't! Unless you're a student who wants to waste a summer and earn minimum wage then go ahead.

I purchased 3 cashmere sweaters in November from Macy's and was extremely happy with my purchase. I requested that they give me the address as to where my payment should be sent as it takes a long time to get a statement and I did not want to incurr finance charges. I sent a U.S. money order on Dec. 12, 2011 and according to my bank (HSBC) that money order was paid on Dec. 21st. Since then I have had a least five phone calls from Macy's stating that my account hasn't been paid. I have explained, faxed them a copy of my money order as well as the note from the bank stating this has been paid. The people who phone me, just don't seem to listen when I explain that this account has in fact been paid and it is not delinquent. If you have a problem with your station receiving payments, then it is your problem, not mine. I have done everything I can to co-operate with the requests from your debt collectors but now I have had enough! This bill was $270.69 and I have no intention of paying it again. One of your agents asked me if I could put a stop payment on it after I had told her it has been paid out. Customers beware when you charge things at Macy's as this could be your story. I used to love this store, but now I will never shop there again!!!!

Some people are so dumb here. If you say outsourcing calls to India as ANTI-AMERICAN.. haha what about the clothes??? Have you checked out the labels??? You may want to stop wearing clothes altogether, because most of them would be imported from one of them Asian countries.I love shopping at Macy's. They have good customer service. Always smiling and ready to help, including the Managers. Macy's card is a thrill for me, because I get excellent deals and coupons. I have checked out the "wide-eye look" that we customers give, when we get deals. It is only when we miss our payments or have no-cash in our banks ( no fault of Macy's)..we get mad and irritated and play the blame game :P

I am SHOCKED at these complaints!!Macys is corporate America using India to communicate and deal with their customers so they don't have to!Will not ever shop at Macys again.

TRIED TO REACH THE CORPORATE OFFICE AND THEIR # JUST ROLLED THE CALLER OVER TO A BUSY SIGNAL. I WAS UNABLE TO LEAVE A MESSAGE. I THOUGHT THEY MIGHT LIKE TO KNOW WHY I CANCELLED MY 36 YR ACCOUNT. OR. THEY PROBABLY DO NOT CARE. NURSEGEORGIA@SWBELL.NET

I just cancelled my Macy's credit card. I purchased a sofa from Macy's in August only to have the cushion seams ripping apart by December! I called macy's customer service and requested a new seat cushion. They will not send me a cushion but their remedy is to send a technician out in 2-3 weeks to inspect the situation to determine if it is consumer usage problem or defect. Plus, I must take a day off of work to accomodate their technician/inspector's schedule. This sure was an expensive sofa...purchase price plus a day off work plus will need to buy another sofa soon as this one is falling apart. Macy's is clearly too big and has terrible customer service. I'm done!

I have shopped for many years in the Macy's store in S.W. Plaza in Littleton, CO. (Denver area) & have always had exceptional service from their staff. However, since I discovered several days ago that they outsource jobs to India, I will no longer shop there. I was late with my payment because of a family death in Canada. So I tried to pay it instantly online. That procedure did not work, it just kept asking for my Macy's card #, which I entered each time. Finally, I called the 1-888# on their website & was put through to INDIA!!!!! INDIA!!! I could not understand the first woman that answered because of her accent; she kept me on hold for several minutes. So I called back & started all over. First of all they were going to charge me $11 for the payment & when I screeched at that, she said, o.k., we'll only charge you $5. I said "What, I'm not even using a credit card, but a checking account. So she said they wouldn't charge me the $5 either. I'll miss shopping in this Macy's, but because they are ANTI-AMERICAN in outsouring jobs, well, that's something I won't tolerate. It's also very irritating BECAUSE YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND THOSE PEOPLE'S ACCENTS!!!

Even one star is too many for the amount of stress I experienced at the hands of your staff. They are always uninformed and argumentative during sale time. I have an ad from the Sun Sentinal a local Florida newspaper. It is quite descriptive about what sleepwear is included in the sale on Sunday - January 15th - and valid until January 16th. I went to the Pompino store and they did not accept the sale prices at the cash. I quickly went to the Galleria store in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where I encountered the same thing. Not only that but my anger finally got the price to be granted but she insisted that it was a mistake - ev even though it was well advertised. So the saleswomen removed the sale sign!!!!! I had the same experience last year so Macy's will no longer be a choice shopping place for me. I know better places where the staff is helpful and informed. If you wish to contact me so that you can put things right - here is my name and phone number. Rosalie Rapoport Gilbert 954-421-3444

The managers at the Macy's store in Sarasota have no clue what is going on. I wonder if any of them have managerial experience. One manager told me I could not speak in my native language (spanish) because she did not want me talking about her and could not understand what I was saying.

First and foremost, I want you to immediately cancel my Macy’s credit card. Thank you. Next, I’m not going to waste my time getting down and dirty with my complaint about the stinky and dirty bathrooms in Macy’s stores. Specifically, my complaints are regarding Macy’s at Memorial City Mall, Houston, TX, and Macy’s at First Colony, Sugar Land, TX. I live near the store at Memorial City and over the years have discussed the women’s restroom problems as I see them with the manager, i.e., no hooks on the doors, dirty and wet floors, broken and cracked tiles, filth in the corners, and stink; the list goes on like you’re in a Wal-Mart store. Here’s my question – what do I do with my packages and/or purse when I’m using the facility? How does a store that sells Coach purses get away with not providing a clean facility? The latest excuse I was given is that the store is going to remodel. No, this has been going on for years at Memorial City. Yesterday I was in Sugar Land shopping and we used the “tiny” 4 or 5 stall restroom in this gigantic store. Same scenario. The hand blower was broken, dirty nasty floors, paper holder in disability space was taped up, no hooks, and stink. I am appalled at your insensitivity to such a needed space in your store. As an afterthought, how would you like to change or feed your baby here? I don’t want to hear anything from corporate about the economy, I don’t want you to send me a form letter, and I don’t want to be patronized. What I want is for you to fix this restroom problem in your stores and to stop taking advantage of your “valued” patrons. I know that only 1 in 100 people make a complaint. I know that we live in a society that says “oh well, that’s how it is in today’s world.” And here’s a question for you to ponder… why weren’t self-flushing toilets installed in these stores in the first place? Please continue to get my account cancelled. Even though I didn’t use my card that much, I really was one of your “valued” patrons.

I just want to thank Macy's for sending me a "very special birthday" card. I received it yesterday and to my surprise, IT WAS EMPTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just an envelope nothing inside. So is that my gift? Did you pay my balance off? I wish. Next time, try quality control. Thanks for the "gift"

I have a macy's account & up until now never really had a problem. I had made a special event pruchase on furniture with a12 months 0% finance. I use the store card a lot & always have to fight to use there coupons in the store. Anyway I always make payments online or through online banking as to keep debt free. What I finally noticed is that all the payments I was making went to the special event purchase which is 0% for another 10 months. So here I thought that I had no balance on the revolving account. No there is a balance now do on my revolving. I called customer service & was advised that the payments could not and would not be moved. If I had not checked because I never carry a balance. I would have gotten hit with a late fee from Macy's as well as them reporting a bad credit rating on me as well. Customer service advised that their payment allocation gets to decide where the payments get applied to. I asked if I go directly to the store which is a big inconvenience that I would be able to instruct them where & how I would like payments applied. She said that they would still have to call her to get permission from the payment allocation department for that. Then she she that I could pay over the phone for proper crediting Maybe... & I see online that they charge for pay by phone.. Pay by phone (a fee applies to this optional service) So why would I want to pay a fee just to make a god dam payment? I do not want to deal with all this nonsense just to make payments.

I like the sales people at the Schaumburg store in Illinois. Karen Calmine from Men's is a true professional. When I ordered for Christmas she told me up front twice about the delivery time and stated my order would be shipped after the holidays. If something does not fit me she is honest about it and does not try to force me to buy something just for the sale. She says why buy something if its going to sit in your closet and buy what you like. I like shopping at that store.

1. They don't accept payments unless its a debt card over the phone 2. After informing the person on the other end of the phone, whom I couldn't understand because they outsource their call center to India, that I wanted to be make a full payment, he still proceed to chastise me for not making my first payment on time 3. When I went to the physical store to make the payment, they couldn't accept my payment because it was from TCF Bank 4. I had to withdraw money out of an ATM that cost me $3.00 on top of the charges they piled on for missing the first payment 5. I went back to Macy's after Christmas to see what deals they had going and when I went to make a purchase, they asked for my Driver License and proceeded to enter it into the register. When I asked, the cashier just replied that it was what the system told her to do WARNING: Don't open an account with Macy's, and if you must buy something from there, pay in cash!

I am very concerned with your return policy. I order 2 pair of boots online, and returned them using the "Macy's Merchandise Return Service" provided with my invoice. I was willing to pay the $6.95 thinking it wouls be LESS stress than returning them in person.. I WAS WRONG!!! I followed the slip step by step, FED-EX (NOT UPS) picked them up, I was issued a "pickup" number.. when I called to track the package they asked for the "tracking" number, I didn't have it ~ I was told by FED-EX to contact Macy's they could provide the tracking number.. WRONG AGAIN!! for what ever reason there was NOT a tracking number printed on my return slip... so now, FEDEX has picked up the package (That I know for sure) and Macy's can't find it... I have had to be ugly to get PART of my credit issued, they are still making me pay the 6.95 shipping charge even though who the hell knows where my package is.. When I called customer service they told me shipping w/FEDEX was WRONG I should have used UPS... well the instructions I was provided said NOTHING about UPS. All I am saying BEWARE on your returns, you better take a photo copy of everything and a picture of the FEDEX man picking up your package. What a headache, I am DONE w/MACY's.. Dillards here I come!!!!

Too bad there's not an option for no stars because that's what I would have chosen. My story is too long and drawn out to list every detail, but the short of it is that I ordered two gifts online that were guaranteed to be delivered by Christmas. Quite frankly, the gifts were lame, but most everything else was unavailable (on 12/19 nevertheless), but at least my family would have SOMETHING to open on Christmas day. I began calling on 12/23 when they still weren't delivered. I called at 7 am, and was told that UPS would be delivering both items by c.o.b. that day. I called again on the evening of 12/23, but this time was told that my items were lost, but of course, it was no fault of Macys...it was UPS. The CSR promised to research and call me back later in the evening or 1st thing Christmas Eve. He did not call, so I called at 7 am Christmas Eve. I'd since received an email letting me know I'd get a refund for the gifts "in a few days"? The CSR (her name was Patrice) did not know what happened, called UPS, and even got her manager involved. She promised to call me right back, but again never did. I again called back, only to be told that they have no idea what happened, but the product was unavailable and never shipped. Yet somehow they managed to take my money for a product they did not have. Isn't that considered theft???? When I questioned the CSR, she put me on hold for over 45 minutes now (still on hold). So, 4 phone calls later, I'm out the money, have no product in hand, and 4 different stories as to why. What a bunch of liars. They have ruined Christmas for me, and I will never shop with them again. Much like other stories on this post, I too will also tell everyone I know about this experience and advise they go to Dillards if they don't want to be scammed. By the way, the CSR did finally come back on the line, and I will be credited the money they took by Monday or Tuesday (after Christmas of course). What a sorry way to earn business.

This is with misx review that I write this note. I had shopped ealrier in the evenign at Macy in the shoe department and the jewlery dept. I proceeded to fo the Juniors depta in search of bargains for my daughters. There was several racks of clearnace items, I took time to seek out the items and made sure that the pricing were what was advertised. I proceeded to check out and their was two cashier one was assisting a customer the other appeared to be picking at her nails. Only when the other cashier left to assist the customer she looked up at me and I asked her if she was open she saifd she was and I related that I had been waiting. The items that I selected to purchase she related that they were not prioce correctly. Irelated to her the items were advertised unde the racks and there were several of the same items on the 2 racks in questions. She preceeded to go to the racks and began moving items around and taking down the signs. She arrived back to the counter and stated I could not have the items for the price advertise. I ask to speak with the mangager. A man arrived he did not acknowledge me nor look in my direction. He proceeded to do a search on the computer for a "like item" and was not successful. I interven and told him of the rack I obtain the item, sweater top". He continue to not acknowelge my presence but simply lef the counter and and went to the rack. He related there was not signs, I shared with him that the clerk had removed the signes and some of the items. We, the clerk, the manager and myself searched for a like item. ALthough earlier there was a like item in that area I could not no longer find it. He then ask the clerk to look for the same designer. Although the item was vastly different I was under the impression that the item would be honored for the price advertised on the signage. Boy was I wrong, the clerk nor the store manger said anything to me but rung the item up at a much higher price. When I question why this was so and why no explanation was given or why did
