I purchased a Toshiba 10 inch Excite tablet in Niles Illinois 5701 W. Touchy Ave. 60712 on 7-26-2012 and paid cash in the amount of 470.00 total with tax. I returned it on 7-27-2012. I changed my mind because I wanted a later model of an I pad tablet. They asked me if anything was wrong with the tablet and I replied no, the cleared the tablet of personal information that I had put on it. The store clerk told me that I could only get back 250.00 cash and I would be mailed 220.84 in a check. I called last week as a follow up call to the store in Niles Illinois, and they said that they didn't have an address to mail the check to, even though the clerk named Victoria had written my address on the invoice that they kept on 7=27=2012. When I called last week the clerk that checked on the money owed to me stated that they only mail out checks on Friday's, and gave me a confirmation number for the check to be sent #5409016265. I called again on 8-15-2012 and the clerk told me that she would call me back in 10 minutes and when she returned my call she stated that they would mail my check on 8-15-2012. I need my money now, just as I paid cash for the merchandise, and returned the merchandise in a timely manner undamaged. Rosalyn Hardion

My husband and I came in on Tuesday, August 7 to purchase a Samsung refrigerator. We were assured there were new refrigerators, in the box at the warehouse, as the only one in the store was open box, damaged. Instead of getting it delivered on Wednesday, however, we requested delivery for Thursday as we could not be available on Wednesday to accept delivery. On Wednesday afternoon, we received a call from the store (in Orland Park, IL). The call was to inform us that the refrigerator was NOT available as the only ones in stock were open box. I asked how we could have purchased one on Tuesday, only to be told on Wednesday that they were not available after all. I was told that because we postponed delivery a day that ours had been delivered to another customer. The salesperson stated she would call the other stores and see if anyone else had one new in box, as we refused to take one that was opened, used, and/or damaged/repaired. After speaking to a manager on Wednesday night, my husband went to the store again on Thursday morning to see what could be done. He agreed to purchase a Whirlpool refrigerator for the same price as the Samsung. The sales manager assured him that the warehouse had 13 in stock (the same warehouse was also still showing 3 of the Samsung refrigerators new in box although they physically had none that were not opened). We were promised delivery between 2:30pm and 4:30 pm on Friday afternoon. Around 1:00pm Friday we received a call from the dispatcher stating that the driver was running half hour to an hour behind schedule. So, I said, at the latest 5:30pm. The dispatcher said yes. The driver then called around 5:00 and apologized for running late. I stated that dispatch had already called and told us that he was late. He stated that he would be here around 6:30pm. At 7:00pm I called him back to see where he was. He told me he still had to stop at the store in Orland Park to pick up a TV stand and that he was coming here immediately after that. It is now 7:40pm and we still do not have a refrigerator. So, in actuality, the refrigerator is almost a day and a half getting to us because the warehouse inventory was incorrect. Is this how your company does business? The salesman is blaming the warehouse and apologizing for the lack of accuracy at the warehouse. The manager is apologizing for the salesman having incorrect information. The driver is apologizing stating that it isn’t his fault – it was the way the dispatcher scheduled deliveries and planned the routes for the day. We are getting a lot of excuses and apologies, but neither of them have placed a refrigerator in our kitchen. My husband and I are not pleased customers by any means at this point.

Im sorry but think about what you type before you type it! I work for Hhgregg, and the people that are complaining on here are the people who buy our cheap crap products! Instead of buying that $129 coby/ curtis buy something with quality samsung/ lg! Thinking a no-name tv is as good or better than a named brand tv is unrealistic!! That is redicules! Our return policy is 30 days, it states that on the back of every reciept! Stop acting like we owe you something, just because you got a curtis/ coby/ or hisense from us means your to cheap to buy a good quality tv! You get what you pay for! If you pay for crap you get crap! Just because we sell the product does not mean we are resposible for the product after 30 days! People who buy electronics and expect them to last more than 5 years are crazy, they really dont make them like they used to! So please stop complaing because you were to cheap to purchase something that was better! Those premium service plans are worth every penny as well! When was the last time you had to replace a power suppy or a lcd panel on your tv! Be my guest call someone out to the house and check and see how much it would be just to tell you whats wrong! Also our plans are one of the only that will give you a prorated refund if it hasnt been used! Do your homework before you come in and actually buy a quality product!

Im guessing no one that cares ever reads these post. I have never been but based no what i have read my family friends and I will never give them our money!!

I went to HHGREG IN December and bought a 32 in Curtis tv. In March, i had to take the tv back due to the speakers was going out. I receve a new tv and had to take this one back in June and found out that i was unable to receive a refund back. I spoke to several managers and they never understood my complaint. I was givng a store credit which i went back into the store on 8/5/12 to get a tv and there was a colby tv for 229, my store credit was 222, the manager would not giv eme that television. I refuse to give HHGREGG any more money to get a tv. I have purchase several items here and will NEVER GO BACK.

This without a Doubt is the worse company I ever made a purchase from.. we bought whole kiten of new appliances they are great...The saleman entered some imformation wrong and they failed to send an insatLTION KIT WE PURCHASED for the disshware...long story short after 2 hours of phone calls The GM got involved and told us to to go to a competor close to us and buy it...He gave us a Credit for the inconvience and was nice...5 days ago we receaved a notice that our rebate was denied due to the fact it had expired...Again salesman erra.. the documents heder gave us expired 28 days before our purchase...!!!for 5 days I have been calling and No returen calls.. On the phone with corporate now....would never buy one thing from them...They are the Worse.

Ok, seriously...people who are complaining their products broke down and HH did nothing...stop complaining. THEY didn't make the product. Most items come with a one yeear limited warranty if you don't believe in the service plans. Besy Buy, Walmart, Target and HH are all the same. AFter the initial return policy, they will refer you to the manufacturer. HH is just as good a place to buy as anywhere and you will probably get the best price as they haggle more often. Some stores just have better people working there than others.

Worst experience ever! Customer Service is 000! Paid for the Bravos XL Maytag washer and dryer and can't get it delivered! They have our money and can't deliver on the product! Nightmare of calls and trying to get help. They will not stay in business long!

Last week on July 3rd at noon I purchased two air conditioners at the Downers Grove IL store, a window unit and a through the wall unit. The store had loads of both units stacked two high in the middle of the store. I thought the purchase was handled well and, as this was my first time in the store, I was pleased and mentioned to the very efficient salesman that I planned to buy a dishwasher and small TV in the near future. The window unit came home with me, the other unit was to be delivered on Saturday July 7. On Friday morning I got a call from the store informing me that I would not be getting my second air conditioner (the one I'd bought and paid for in full) because the store had a "run" in air conditioners and some of the units were damaged, "boxes had damage" he said, and had to be returned and the store probably would not be getting more in. I'm the only person I know who has to buy a through the wall unit because I have an older home with radiant heat and therefore have no duct work for central air. This store had at least ten units and apparently all those were sold or returned between noon on the 3rd (when the store was EMPTY) and closing on the 5th, and, Oh Yeah, Wedsneday was the 4th of July, a holiday. Now I get that the whole country has had blistering heat in the last week but I BOUGHT AND PAID FOR two air conditioners. I called the store yesterday to find out how they were going to credit me since the amount of my purchase entitled me to a $50 discount, but was told the "manager" could not come to the phone and would call me later. It's Tuesday and I'm still waiting. Will I go back for the dishwasher and TV. O-H-H-H-H-H N-O-O-O-O!!!!! Best Buy here I come. -1 star

The appliances sell themselves. Funny they did not speak to me. My wife and I went into the Jensen Beach, FL store this past Monday. After walking around for about 15 minutes we left. No one seemed to care. The one guy I asked if he worked there said, yes. He still did not ask if we needed any help. Way to go, there are other stores, Best Buy, Walmart etc. No HH Gregg for me. Is this anyway to run a business? Wow.

On Monday June 25th 2012 I had a delivery by HH Greg team 37 Deavin and Keith. What a great job they did. They were so very professional and made sure not only that my appliance was brought into the house they made sure nothing was scratched or dented on my appliance or any of the wood work. The both worked so well together that it was one fluid motion. These two guys Deavin and Keith are the best and if I could I would hire them to deliver anything.! Thank you again Deavin and Keith for treating my delivery like it was being delivered to your own house. I appreciate you. Thanks

PURCHASED LG DISHWASHER THROUGH THE HHGREG.DW DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY AND THEY DON'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.CLAIMING THAT LG IS REPSONSIBLE ,LG SAYING THAT HHGREG IS RESPONSIBLE.THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND LOOKS LIKE NOBODY WANTS TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT

Worst experience EVER!! Purchased a camera for my husband. The displays weren't working so I had to rely on the "salesman". He told me the camera would be perfect for what I wanted. Spent 20 minutes putting my information in the computer, to tell me he couldn't complete the sale because I was paying cash. Had to go wait in line at another register wait another 20 minutes while they re-entered my order just to be told they didn't even have the camera in stock, I had to come back later to pick it up. Was in the store 1.5 hrs to get a camera I had for the most part picked out on line. Went to pick it up had to wait while the "manager" finished paperwork to go get it out of the back for me. Got the camera home and it did nothing the salesman told me it did, so went to return it. Had to explain to the manager for 20 minutes why I didn't like it and insist they return it only for the cashier to charge me again instead of refund my money to my card, (because they didn't have enough cash in the store to refund cash). The manger did give me a $20 gift card for my troubles..what an insult!WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN- NOT WHEN BEST BUY PRICE MATCHES AND HAS WAY BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND IS RIGHT NEXT DOOR!!!

AGREED..WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! They give you no support and it has taken 2 months an still nothing has been taking care of..we spent THOUSANDS there and was told about certain things being covered and come to find out they weren't,needles to sa we made a huge purchase..64 inch tv, bose system,a bbq grill and we have been transferred to many different number people,daling with corporate over the phone and internet and all i keep getting is they are invetigating and apologize for it taking so long,UM YA 2 months???

Apparently the president of hhgreggs doesn't care about his customers and their problems with the products they sell,so do what the lady did with the car she bought from a certain name brand company.she took them to small claims court.that's what we should do with hhgreggs.and maybe include some of their rude employees.

O how I wish I had checked this site before going to HHGREGGS in Evansville ind,I bought a 50'plasma samsung tv(didn't not purchase the premium plan)thinking that samsung made a dependable tv.well it lasted 14 months before a problem developed.upon returning to the Evansville store to try and get help I was greeted by some of the most"I don't care about you r your problem"smart-Alec employees I have ever encountered.the female manager(who seemed to think that she was ms.America.actuarially she was B-t-h)told me to go ahead and complain,that I was just wasting my time.this was my first time to buy from hh.it's my last time to.horrible,rude,poorly trained employees.apparently working for a company that is manage by someone worse than the employees.Didn't think that was possible.
