so the manager at the store number 0022 (Lincolnton, NC) doesn't let someone under 18 work there or who is not out of high school they rather have some one with a GED instead of someone that is going to get their diploma next year.. I don't know if that is the rules or what but i was wanting to work there so bad. but yet i cant because i don't have a diploma or out of school.............

I totally agree with A. The managers wonder why employees hate their jobs and seek employment elsewhere. Working for Belk has made me a bitter person, and that is do not me. Not only did you lose an employee you lost a customer as well I will never shop in another Belk ever again.

First off, I would like to state that Belk provides great products at very reasonable and competitive prices. However, your lack of customer service in certain departments, creates great lost opportunity that heavily impacts your business. I used to be an avid shopper at your location in Murfreesboro, TN. I purchased a lot of dress clothing, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Bahama on a regular basis. The main reason I write is becuase of the terrible service I recieved a few days ago in the shoe department. No one was around to help! This was not the first time either. On numerous occasions I have been interested in purchasing either Sperry shoes or Johnston and Murphy dress shoes, and walked out empty handed due to the lack of customer service. Counting the times I have wanted to purchase shoes, your company created a lost opportunity of more than $1,000 in a two month period! That doesnt include any suits I wanted. I was tempted to walk in the back and find my size and help myself, but I decided to leave and not shop at Belk again. I have been disappointed at this location to many times. That also made me wonder, how many other people notice an opportunity to walk in the backroom and help themselves to anything and never be noticed! The customer service AND security in the shoe department and mens department needs to improve, period. I used to be proud to inform people that I shop at Belk, now I have to explain why I shop elsewhere.

i have lived in crystal river fl for the past 10 years and as anyone from around here knows there are not to many nice places to shop at i always thought belk WAS one of the nicer places to go with out having to leave town over the past year or so i have seen this store going down hill more and more every time i go in there you can never find anyone to cash you out when you do they are in a bad mood seem to always be short and rude to you when you ask to see a manager it takes then forever to get to you and then when they do they also act as if you and what you have to say is unimportin the store is always dirty and smells very bad of mold the roof is falling apart in most places in there you can never trust what the price is on anything it is always marked wrong and if you try to say anything about it the person cashing you out either is rud about it or they act dumb about it like oh i dont know this is just what it says so oh well and when you get a manager they act as if god for bid they dont get that ext 5$ from you and alot of the time its not because we dont want to pay it its because we want to prove a point that if thats what you are going to have on there then thats what we should get it for i dont know why you offer ext discounts when you can never use them on anything i am really sorry to say but this is a very por ran store its bad when you can walk around and hear the people working there talking about how much they hate their job and they dont get paied enough to do this well belk did you ever think if you paied your workers more and got more help in there so the ones you do have are not so over worked that they might be in a better mood and kind of like their job and come a cross a little nicer to the people that come in to shop your store you know the ones who pay your bills when you really stop and look at it and on that note were do you find your managers anyways do you just pick the ones that will deal with all the bs of your stores for little pay because thats all they have left in life is to be the manager of a belk store i mean really come on now lets try this thing called work do your job get off your fat ass and find people that really want the job and will do it right with a smile like i said i do not like to leave town very much and sad as it is belk is one of the only nicer places in town to shop but if things keep going the way they do then i might have to take my bissness else were hope you fix things soon

I have been shopping the Lumberton N.C store for many years, matter of fact I shop there once or twice a week. My concern is the carpet. It smells of midew, mold, nasty smell in the store. I hate now to buy dresses cause their so close to the floor. please get a cleaning crew in there to clean that place. I'm sure you have lost customers at you Lumberton Store.

The belk store manager jason in gadsden al is so unprofessional & he doesnt seem to know what he is doing. Maybe if he had more sales assoc. working u could actually get waited on. The customers & assoc. are treated bad. Try more help. This falls on management.

Belk management is filled with nothing but a bunch of slithering snakes. Belk ,bully does not equal manager. I repeat-bully does not equal manager. You people don't know the difference, and it will come back to haunt you.

I will never again shop at any Belks ever again thanks to your Lake City Fl. Location .This the 3rd time that I have purchased clothing and was charged more than the price listed on the Tag.1 of the 3 times I got it and was faced with an employee who seemed to be totally indifferent offering to get the manager IF they were there in a bothered manner.furthermore to purchase anything you must take anything you want to purchase across the store in order to check out.Your Company can keep the whole 20 or 30 dollars that you have pretty much stolen from me , I'm so disgusted with your business that I'd rather lose the money than walk into that den of incompetence and false advertising.surely 3 times of being overcharged throught a 6 month period is bot an accident but more than likely an intention with the hope that most. People don't realise.BELKS SUCKS!!!!!!! NEver again,screw you all

Your Store manager in Kill Devil Hills is a complete jerk. He has his few favorite people in the store and everyone else he writes up and make up stuff about them. These are people that have been there for many years and been through several store managers and have NEVER been wrote up and always do their job. He is not nice to the customers either. I dont know his name but he treats his employees like crap except the his favorits ones.

I am so sick and tired of your constant sales offering 15%-20% etc., only to find that many items I wish to purchase cannot be used with the coupons. Then there are times when I am not able to get to your store for the "3 day sales" and miss them completely! As it happened on 2/28! I made purchases in 4 departments for a total of $423.33. No disscount in cosmetics ( 108.00) Bedding Dept. ( 140.39-item on sale, no extra discount)Lingerie Dept. ( 110.16) no extra discount and Menswear (64.78) no extra discount. I missed your 3 day sale by one day! Today I received more coupons in the mail for 20% all sale/clearance items. Sorry to say, I will pay this bill in full when it comes and will not shop Belks. When your company puts coupons out I think you would have more business if you would allow them to be used on everything, even the clearance item. Your competers here in town allow them to be used on everything, I am not the only one who feels like this. Maybe you should consider trying that at least once or twice.

Does anybody at the Corporate Office ever pick up a ringing phone?????? It has been ringing for 4 minutes!! How nice...an automated line that dumps you to an unanswered general number. Great customer service folks!
