Greetings: My comments do not have anything to do with my dining and then rating any of Tom Restaurant this time around, so please disregard the "poor" rating and read on. I am writing to you instead, not seeing any alternative way to communicate wtih Tom himself or someone else who can address my concern. Last summer I was prompted to visit the Honda of Seattle dealership that was running a $50 gifts card give-away as part of a "test drive" promotion. Though I noted my reason for coming in that particular day last summer to several people at the dealership was due to both my interest in smaller Honda vehicles but also the great promotional incentive. Only after my test drive did the sales manager then tell me that they were out of the gift cards. I informed them that their dealership website still had the promotion listed as of that morning, and the sales manager confirmed my observation after checking it out on his computer. Though he promised to check into the matter and get back to me, and I have called and left messages for him to do so, no follow-up courtesy has ever been provided to me--and certainly not the promised $50 gift card! While I understand that your restaurant chain's interest in this promotion was only selling (I assume) these cards to the dealership, I cannot separate the disappointment and unpleasantness associated with the dealership's deception. Only recently did I think to contact you directly to inform you of my experience and to see if you wish to engage me in a positive resolution to the matter. At this point I have no intention of ever buying a car from Honda of Seattle and have unconsciously yet to revisit any of your company's restauarants since the unpleasent instance at the dealership.
