I have personally had Southern Company Electricity now for 12 years, and before that my father and mother for 35+. They have been a great service provider always working with us - up until the end. Be wary of the flat rate - I just got a bill for over 1000 dollars without an explanation of usage or breakdown of usage. Each time I call even though they have trouble puling up records and agree that the information their site is misleading, and that the advertised price (Highest 10c a KW/h) is actually not including ~ 50% MORE charges to you bill for other junk fee, and each member is just not really empathetic, doesnt care, and just wants me to pay. Never mind that they are claiming in less then 4 months I used over 12000 KW hours - (Thats about a years worth) Great company to start and stay with, not so good on the exit, even when they dont service the area you are moving to.
