My name is Melisa Morales, wife of Rogelio Morales My husband is currently deployed to Afghanistan , therefore that’s why I have been making payment and keeping up with the month charges. I called customer service to figure out why I had a remaining balance on my account., when in fact I had just called the day before and paid my balance in full. The customer service rep transferred me to her supervisor by the name of Mike, by my request, right off the bat, during our conversation he began to speak to me as if I was stupid and couldn’t understand why charges were being made to my account. He gave me the impression to why was I the one that was calling and not my husband, I stated to him and explain to him that my husband was deployed to Afghanistan , I don’t know what his problem was or how our conversation even escalated , but this gentlemen insulted me and stated that he has been to Afghanistan too , and what.? We began to make me feel like I was nothing and that my husbands services didn’t mean anything. I am very hurt and disgusted by the customer service I have received from him, I went off and told him , he had NO RIGHT!! What so ever to tell me anything about my husband or insult me that way, my husband has gave 15 years of his life and fights for our freedom and continues to do so, this every moment. Your supervisor Mike insulted me to the fullest and had humiliated me and my husband and has offend my husbands name. I asked Mike to transfer me to another rep, and stated to him that I wanted my service disconnected , due to this disrespect and humiliation that he just gave me, he stated to me that I was going to have to hang up and call back , because he was not going to transfer me. And wished me good luck on trying to disconnect my service , because I couldn’t disconnect my service and he didn’t care if my husband was deployed. The nerve and the disrespect that this gentleman gave me , is uncalled for and is just insulting to myself, my family, my husband and the whole military. How dare he even. I’m very upset and hurt by this. After our argument , I spoke to Jennifer who was very concerned about what had just happen. I apologized to her for blowing up and let this man get to me and let him bring me to tears with his actions. Jennifer has been outstanding and you need more people like her to work and represent DIRECTV. I apologize to you for writing this letter, and having to explain a little about what happen. If you even had the slightest idea how hard it is to be separated from your husband or even have your husband fight and make sacrifices and risking his life for the life of others. I go to bed not knowing if my husband is going to come out alive, it hurts, a lot . But this this my husbands job and he loves what he does, and it is what it is. BUT your employee has no right , not one right, what so ever, whether he was in the military himself or has even been in Afghanistan himself, theirs a reason why he’s not in the military now. And if he ever was, then he should know how hard it is and how offended I got when he disrespect me and my family. I have had nothing but problems with DIRECTV. Poor customer service skills and with such disrespect. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
I wish to tell you of the excellent service I have received from those who have taken my phone calls regarding problems I have had several times. I am not savvy in the electronic area. Your employees were extremely patient with me and always able to get my problems solved. I wish I had written their names down so that you could give them a pat on the back. I hope that I am writing this to the appropriate address. MD (I do find you a bit on the pricy side for us oldies.)
DirecTV has a customer service department that is unresponsive and unwilling to hold the title they claim. The worst and most misleading comany I have ever dealt with,
