school trip
I just found out that I will be a chaperone for a school field trip to seaw world. I was also schocked to find out that Sea World charges the chaparones $25. I never heard of such a thing. My son went to Bush Gardens and his school was not charging chaparones. Sound like Sea World is not managed as well as Bush Gardens. These trips are for the children not the adults. I mentioned this to Karena at their office and she was not willing to accommodate any complimary tickets to the chaparones. Down right by the book and not friendly. Sea World new motto can be the unfriendliest place on the earth
what i thought was the best idea, turn out to be the worst ive ever made in my life. i made a payment using the seaworld web site only to find out later that my payment wasnt processed that day and that another card was used instead of the card i orginally charged. now im paying double because seaworld will not refund the amount back to my debit card and charge my creditcard the one i authorize them to use for that month. i spoke to a customer service rep. concerning this issue (debra) refuse to let me speak to a higher authority and hung the phone up on me. i will never recomend seaworld/ bush garden ezay pay to anyone. the custmer service is horrible

SeaWorld San Antonio On 8/20 my son I went to Dolphin Cove to feed the dolphins. The line was long as it typically is for feeding time so we waited on the other side until the line dwindled down. We got in line, purchased our fish plate and proceeded to find a spot in the crowded feeding area. My son had just given his last fish off the plate to the dolphins when I was immediately approached by Candice (SeaWorld employee). Candice asked if we had any fish remaining which I replied he just gave the last one. She asked that make our way to the other side if we had no remaining fish. Without hesitation I asked my son to follow me to the other side where she asked us to go. On the other side of the viewing area (the non-feeding side) I noticed that many people were not feeding the fish and were not asked to leave as we were? I immediately made my back to the other side with my son to interact just as everyone else who PAID. Not more than 30 seconds after walking back Candice approached again asking us to go back to the other side. My question to her was “why” as I pointed out people that remained there had no fish? “We paid just as the remaining people why was NO-ONE else asked to leave”? She immediately said she was “calling security” and “this is how we are going to do it”? Really?! This is how SeaWorld would like to leave an impression on an 8 year old? Making a scene and embarrassing me and my son in front of a crowd people? You have to be kidding me!! When I was approached by SeaWorld security they could not figure out why we were asked to go to the other side either! I did not catch the security officer name but he witnessed the countless people interacting with the dolphins without ANY FISH in their hands. I had to replay in my mind if we had done anything to violate a SeaWorld policy to provoke a singling out of my son and I at this attraction and I can’t come up with a single reason! Candice acted inappropriately and without provocation! Her lack of professionalism was uncalled for and she does not represent your park well. For the remainder of the afternoon I was left to explain to my son that we did nothing wrong and Candice made a mistake. For the past three years coming to the park I have never encountered anyone less than professional until now. This young lady (Candice) should not be in any position of customer service and has marred my opinion. After reading these posts I am convinced SeaWorld doesn't care and my filing of Guest Comments will mean absolutely nothing! GOOD LUCK GETTING MY MONEY NEXT YEAR! YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY THEME PARK IN TOWN!
I WENT TO SEA WORLD ON 8/11/12 AND IT WAS HORRIBLE..... I WILL NEVER RETURN DUE TO ALL THE BEES FLYING AROUND STINGING EVERYONE. MY DAUGHTER WAS STUNG TWICE AND MY TWO NEPHEWS BOTH WERE STUNG AS WELL. WE LEFT THE PARK EARLY AND CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR AN REFUND...AS LISTED ABOVE EVERYONE IS RUDE THAT YOU TALK TO AND REFUSE TO REFUND ANY MONEY BACK.. THEY OFFERED ME FREE PASSES THAT I DO NOT WANT BECAUSE I WILL NEVER EVER RETURN TO BEE CITY ALSO KNOWN AS SEA WORLD SAN ANTIONIO.. BECARE IF YOU GO THERE!!!
I will be a past employee of Sea World in a week. I want to contact HR myself and talk to corporate. Supervisors at sea world look to the employees and pets, people they can just throw around. They uphold a lot of favoritism and do not show apprciation and care for all their employees. I've been disrespected an written up twice by leadership, (Who they pass that title on a lot" for situations that could have been handled differently without the "leaders" only idea of wanting to write up people. I am miserable at sea world. There is no challenge there and they do not care about you at all. When you're sick they don't like you going home, they'll tell you to sit it out. Or if you feel u need to throw up, they'll give u a bag. They are very inconsistent in the Bay of Play area. It's the worst area to work in. NONE of the leadership know what their position is. I would love to speak with corporate and whoever needed. I feel so disrespected and Unprofessionalism is Sea Worlds First name! I was a guest to sea World, and never again will I come back to work there or refer sea world. One of the worst companies.
Very unhappy with todays visit. We live in Orlando/Kissimmee area and have been loyal pass holders for 3 years. Today my pregnant wife along with my 3 year old daughter, sister in law and mother in law went to Seaworld thinking they would have a great time. My wife is 4 months pregnant and has diabetes along with a dropping blood pressure issue. The doctors say it could be just through the pregnancy, but she needs to constantly eat. She may pass out and hitting the floor while pregnant wouldn't be a good thing. So long story short as we have done many times in the past my wife brought a small cooler that conforms to the policies. Inside there were snacks for my daughter and sandwich for my wife that she could snake on if in the event she felt ill. She was refused entry to the park because of this. She asked to speak to a manager (Jacob) and a general manager. To no avail. She called me historical crying about how badly she was being treated. The general manager refused to speak with me and the options my wife was given was to send an email complaint or fill out a paper with her comments. Imagine where that paper would have gone. I called the 800 number to attempt to speak to someone on this issue. Not even they could reach guest services. I left my name and number with the kind and understanding operator named Drew. Really is this how Seaworld deals with their special needs guests? I am also a Disney year pass holder and have never had any issue with bringing in food for my wife. I manage at Universal Studios Orlando, Florida. Even I know that rules sometimes need to be bent for "SPECIAL NEED GUEST." Truly disappointed and still waiting on a call from someone to help with this situation. It's a shame that someone needs to explain and embarrass themselves with they're medical conditions. So if you have special medical needs this might not be the place for you. If this is not corrected then I along with my family will NOT be buying passes once these expire. We spend plenty of money in the parks to not be allowed a sandwich for a sick pregnant woman.
Decided to buy a yr pass for for sea world San Antonio and on my first visit I bought an all day dining band. When i got to the Aquatica park, which is the water portion, it was closed due to maximum capacity and had to wait til it opened since this was the extra money I had to pay for. When I finally got in i spent most of the time in there and when I it was time for me to use my dining band it was not valid in that park. Shortly after I decided to leave and went straight to customer service for a refund and they could do nothing about but give me a ph# to call. I called and even the manager refused to refund my money back. This is absolutely rediculous. I paid $129 plus a $30 dining band for a very unmeaningful day. Next yr a Six Flags Fiesta Texas pass sounds much more promising and a lot less expensive. It is this kind of business that pissed off a lot of customers since I know for a fact that I was not the only one that this happened to. Next yr Seaworld and the Aquatica water park can kiss my ass.
Don't attend this place and give them your money. The proper place for orcas, dolphins and sea lions is in the wild. I hope this shameful place eventually goes bankrupt along with all its relations!
WARNING!!! DO NOT purchase EZ Pay tickets for Sea World or any of their parks. Still, the customer service dept DOES NOT answer their telephones stating "high call volume" etc. I have been trying to help a friend cancel EZ Pay that she purchased for her son. We have called for two days straight with no luck. Why anyone would want to visit a theme park that makes billions of dollars by keeping marine animals confined to small tanks for their life span is beyond my comprehension!!!!!!!!!! The President of the United States should shut down SEA WORLD and FREE THE ANIMALS! The EZ Pay drama continues....
I'm an employee at SeaWorld, folks. Everything said here about us is true, although not for every employee. SeaWorld management is the problem. The company is run by incompetents! The management treats their employees very badly, hence the "attitudes". And, you're correct - THEY CARE NOTHING FOR THE CUSTOMER!
Staff poorly trained, there is policy at shows you can bring strollers in if baby is sleeping. The staff told us we could not bring stroller, and made us wake our baby. Only to realize when we got inside we could have left our daughter asleep in stroller.
On May 25, 2012, our family went to Sea World when unfortunately there was a record breaking heatwave in the S.E. United States. My wife passed heat exhaustion and was about to have a heat stroke and we had to leave about 3:00 to get her out of the heat because park personnel in First Aid are not qualified to give I.V. fluids, and they said my wife needed Gatorade, but they didn't have any, and don't sell it anywhere in the park. They only sell Powerade, but they said that would be bad for her since it has too much sugar in it. I tried to call Sea World's corporate office to see about getting a refund or partial refund, but you can't get anyone at corporate. NO ONE! Customer Service told me they don't give refunds, but they called Customer Relations and told me they could give us a rain check, but before we could finalize that they disconnected me, either purposely or accidently. I called back and explained things again, was put on hold for 20 minutes, and no one picked back up. I called back and asked for a supervisor, and he told me they can't refund or give us rain checks since they couldn't verify my story. I told him to check with First Aid since they keep a log of who they treat, but he said he couldn't do that. He refused to give me his name, and said he couldn't give his name out over the phone. He would not give me a phone number for anyone in corporate I could speak to, saying he didn't have a number for corporate. (Wonder how he would go about getting his paycheck if he didn't get it?) He then hung up on me. He called me back about 10 minutes later and told me he hit the release button instead of the hold button. Right! Anyway, he said he had called First Aid to verify my story, but the ONE PERSON that was on duty that day said it would take about 45 minutes to check on that and that he would call me back. Anyway, 3 hours later, and I haven't been called back. Sea World has the WORST customer service and customer relations departments in the industry! You would think that for what they charge per ticket, they would suffocate you with courteousy and kindness when you call with a complaint to keep up their image so you will return sometime in the future and give Sea World high praises to your family and friends so they will visit also, but this is definitely not the case! If they do not refund, partially refund, or give my family a rain check, I will personally guarantee that Sea World will lose a thousand times more than what it would have cost them to make me a happy customer by spreading the word to everyone I know not to ever, ever, ever visit Sea World again. I'll wait to see if I hear from them, but I'm not holding my breath!!! Also, I hope no one has a medical emergency at Sea World anytime in the future because they do not have qualified emergency medical personnel on staff to assist you, so BEWARE!
we took our trip the end may Texas schools dont get out until middle of june. what a poor judge in timing. all but 3 shows and rides were closed. They forgot to tell us that when we bougt tickets. we spent 3000.00 on a once in a life time vaction,what a disapointment for kids.

I AM NOT EVEN THERE YET BUT SINCE SEA WORLD HAS POSSESSION OF 4000.00 OF MY MONEY I CANT EVEN CANCEL AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! I AM SO FREAKIN MAD I CANT EVEN SEE STRAIGHT!! HOW RUDE CAN U BE! I WOULD NEVER GO HERE IF I HAD A CHOICE NOW! THANKS ALOT SEA WORLD FOR RUINING OUR FAMILY VACATION! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I just spent 1.5 hours on the phone with a customer service rep named Jasmin that refused to let me speak to a manager and also stated manager refused to speak to me since the result to my problem will not be changed. My sister in-law and I had an account separately but she got charged for my account plus hers and which they added 1 to many people to my account. They refused to correct the situation, told us to work out the money refund ourselves, and that they couldn’t cancel the extra person on account. I would never recommend Sea World parks to my friends and family.
We came from Maryland on family vacation. We had to leave a day early due to an emergency. The employees were rude. We wanted to refund our tickets because we were unable to use them. No one knew who to talk to. All the numbers listed go to the same office. So if you want your money back you have to mail them in and risk them possibly getting lost and wait for processing. I will NEVER give SeaWorld another penny. Over your employees, and policies SUCK. You don't care about the customer like you say you do. You guys need to further educate your workers on who to talk to and how to talk to customers.I will be reporting this to the BBB.
We went to Sea World on June 11th 2012- my family of six are on a road trip from the Midwest. After a day at the park we returned to our car to find it was broken into! Missing was my work lap-top,iPad, my kids iPods, two designer purses. We waived down one of 4 security trucks that were cruising around the lot and they did NOTHinG!!!!! We asked about the camaras that are all over the parking lot and he said he didnt know about any cameras!!!! Wtf are there cameras then!!! Our windows were not broken so somone had to know how to unlock the doors and had to have time and known that the 4 security trucks will turn a blind eye. They made is wait while one called another- one showed up to take "report" but when I asked him about the cameras he gave me the run around. I asked for a supervisor and they have me a phone number to some lady that did not answer or returned messages. The San Diego Police acted like I was taking up their valuable time and took a report and that was that. MORAL OF THIS- DON'T GO TO SEA WORLD UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY THEIR OWN!!!!!!

As a person who loved SeaWorld as a child I am disgusted now to think I ever allowed myself to go. What kind of facility continues to have wild orcas in their facilities for the amusement of people? It's bad enough that SeaWorld has bred orcas in captivity to live their long lives in such small, artificial enclosures completely cut off from their natural world. These animals are too large to be kept in captivity! Just when I think how far the human race has come, I am reminded of small-minded company's like yours that profit from the exploitation and slavery of animals that can not speak for themselves. Shame on you. The legacy of SeaWorld is a dark, ugly stain on humanity, through its long established slavery and cruelty to animals. Enjoy your legacy
