Radio shack is the worst place to buy a cellphone ever!!! Went to the one in Princeton WV and the fat girl behind the counter was very mean and would rather talk on her cellphone than answer questions for me I will never buy another thing from there again.
Yesterday I went to your store in Altus, Ok. I wanted to buy a laptop that was on sale. I tried to get one of your store credit cards and someone where he sent the request come back and said I will get an answer in 7 to 10 days. I just wanted to thank you for nothing and I will probably not be using your store any more, THANKS. JIm
Dear Radio Shack: While visiting Indianapolis Indiana we recently received the worst possible service tonight from a Radio Shack customer service representative. I called Radio Shack on August 15, 2012, to find out how to deal with a problem I’ve wanted with purchase of prepaid cell phone. After I had been on hold for several minutes, Then representative from 86th and Michigan road location in Indianapolis Indiana came on the line. I had to explain my problem to him several times because he did not seem to be listening and therefore asked me the same questions repeatedly. Then representative from put me on hold for several minutes, and then returned to say he could not help me. Needless to say, I was quite frustrated. He advised me to get the phone that I need that was advertised, that I would have to travel to Indianapolis Indiana south side Washington street location that was over 24 miles one way for me that they had the phone. So, we drove down the twenty four miles one way and got to the store at the closing time of eight o’clock pm. But the store manager and the sales person let me in and I advise I was told by the 86th and Michigan Ave store that they had the phone. After spending twenty minutes, they did not have the phone. The store representative then called the Washington Square mall location and they advise that they did not have the phone either. The store manager then advise that the Castleton Square mall location had the phone and since the time was 8:15 p.m. that I could possible make it to the store and he would call the store and advise them that we were on the way. So, we drove another 14 miles to this store. I walked in and the sales person and the manager were at the entrance of the store and I asked on the phone call that they were to get from the Washington street location. They appeared clueless. After talking to the manager, he acted as he could care less on all our travels around the city of Indianapolis. He showed little to no empathy and did nothing to help nor did he really care to understand. When asked a direct question ‘WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP WITH PROBLEM’ his reply was “NOTHING”. So spent 2 hours and 59 plus miles and return back to the hotel without the cell phone for our son that start college on Thursdays. Gas at $4.20 cents a gallon and the bad service from three Radio Shack stores in the same city is unbelievable. I expected a much higher level of service from your company, and I am quite disappointed. I will be informing my friends and family about this experience. Also, what type of management has three locations with advertised product and then they are not available. A customer should never have to deal with this type of service anywhere. We talked on the drive back to the hotel on why we very seldom go to Radio Shack and this experience reminder us of this. WE EXPECT TO BE COMPENSATED FOR OUR TIME, GAS, AND TRAVEL WHILE IN INDIANAPOLIS DEALING WITH THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM ANY STORE THAT WE HAVE EXPERIENCED.
Stay away from the Radio Shack in Hempstead, NY. They blatantly lied to me to force me to purchase a new phone service. I asked for my old phone # to be switched to a a new phone- no contract - from virgin mobile to Boost. I forgot that Sprint owned Boost and Virgin Mobile. As I guess they make money on phone service sales, the lady quickly bamboozled me. She told me I could NOT hold on to my old number. I purchased the phone. However, it did not sit right with me. I called Boost when I returned home they told me it was NO problem to switch a number from Virgin to Boost. I know I am gullible but that don't make it right. I am returning that phone tomorrow now she has an opened box and no sale - idiot.

I went to radio shack in McMinnville or, and they did not add air time to my androud net 10 phone they said oh your minutes will roll over but on the prepaid 50 dollars a month it doesnt roll over and I had to go to portland org to get my phone and they wouldn't activite my phone there so I went to Newberg org Radio Shack and they called Net10 and they made me buy a 50 dollar air time card when I still had minutes on my damn phone then it took me two hours in there just to get a phone activited so because it took then so long they added an extra 15 days or they were suppose to and didnt now my cellphone is deactivited and now no one will help me and than my Fiance went in there and paid our bill but they didn't add the minutes to my phone and we paid for it

I went to the store in Worcester Ma at Lincoln Square. It was suppose to open at 9 a.m. It opened at 9:20 a.m.. I bought a battery for a portable phone it cost 4 dollars more than at Target. Unfortuatley Target ran out of them. What a rip off.
Don't go to the radio shack on cottle rd and Santa Teresa blvd in San Jose ca just had the worst experience ever, I was trying to return my sprint phone I Bought still under the 14 days warranty first they said they couldn't because the guy that sold me the phone was under investigation, then they switched up the story and said they couldn't because my phone was damaged I already went to three different RadioShack's and said there was nothing wrong with my phone that they didn't know the reason why they didn't want to do really bad experience don't recommend you to go there they should close down the store
Wow seems like RadioShack has been going downhill...that's what happens when you have a bunch of young arrogant kids running a business. But what is worse is that thesis people in corporate are petting these kids come in to work for their company, destroy all the tenure and good reputation radioahack spent a long time building in a matter of months. Luckily the bay point ca store is amazing. All the employees provide excellent customer service, the even returned a phone I bought without t receipt so I could purchase the newer version that came out soon after I bought the original one! Sadly I realize this is not common for radioahack to do but I just am lucky to have a nice friendly store in my small town And im 24 been going there since I was a baby and there hasn't been one time I've been unhappy with them whether it be toys when I was 6 or an iPhone 4s last week this store (managed by Kia ) is awesome
i am a dj. every time i tell my peers that i shop at the shack for my gear,they look at me with contempt and discuss.their anger level goes threw the roof. they always say that your products are contemptable. they now see me as a outcast and they boo me for no reason at all. they used words like:cheap,junk and non dependable. i am a very serious musician and i demand the best. the main thing is affordablity, location and denpendability.plus it's a name that i trust. now back to the shack bashing.last night after a dj set,a dj asked why did i by those speakers from the shack.i said because i have a radio shack card.his mouth fell open.i then told him about the customer service.he then became interested.how can i get a shack tee to wear at my shows?
Radio Shack activated a phone for me so I could update my Sprint account. I never got the phone and could not get any help from Radio Shack to make this right. I was a mediator between Sprint and Radio Shack trying to work out the problem that Radio Shack started. After one month Sprint said I could update and Radio Shack said they could not give me a phone because they were not selling Sprint phones in my area any more. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM RADIO SHACK AGAIN.

I'll. Try to make it short. About a year ago I bought. A defective htc evo phone in gardena CA. Last Friday I sent it to repair.no receipt. When I came back to get. My printout a Guy working at radioshack told me he would send the phone. Well. Last Tuesday I received the box to send the phone on fedex. Today its Saturday. I haven't got my phone. I went to the store. I was received by a rude attendant saying that the number I got is not the receipt and he would try to find out what happened
my gf was fired for using employee discount with a coupon shes a manger at a store in mesquite tx never missed a day never took anything lost prevention turned tha story around made her pay 50 bucks for 2 packs of battires and the recipt he gave her was for 36 bucks she spent on 4 packs of battires and a slot machine for the iphone 36 dollars total he made her pay 50 bucks and told her if she dident she would for sure lose her job... the next day her boss dick son tells her not to be on confrence call and not to show up at work she called 2 times at 7pm 2 see if she was fired or what he wouldent answer and called back at 9pm on a friday night and told her he had to let her go shes never missed a day or got in any kind of trouble she called sat to sat,sun and monday he wont return calls or text when she asked about an exit payper and last check and vacation pay plus we just had a baby in january and have no money after bills and having to wait its bs cus he couldent even return a call and she hasent done anything wrong cus her old boss rang us up b4 with a coupon we got in an email and employdiscount and no one ever said anything till now and its from 11/3/2011 and 2 day is 6-12-12 wtf?
Radio Shack is the worst company EVER!! They have been taking money out of my account for five months and are refusing to give me a refund. I didnt even have the service anymore and they were still charging me. I will never shop at radio shack and I will advise everyone to stay away from there also! all they can say is sorry, well sorry doesn't make up the money!
I went to the pascagoula ms radio shack and the manger Jacob Johnson is very rude and not helpful at all. It sad that his emploee are scared to help customers they all would say we can not help you because our manger said know you have to buy something out of here. I fill that is bad customer service for a manger to be working a store. He want let them sell converter box he hide them I will never go back into that store every again long as a store being ran like it is.
Location of Store: Latrobe Shopping Center, Latrobe, PA. After purchasing an Auvio Headphones a problem developed when in use. The headphones would crackle and then the volume would increase to an uncomfortable level. This only happened occasionally, but enough to be irritating to the user. The manager, Robert, Informed me there was not a problem with the headphones as he wore the set in the store and this problem never happened for him. I did not want my money back, I just wanted another headphone set. Robert had no interest in helping me and was very dismissive towards me. Needless to say I will not make any future purchases in a Radio Shack Store.
