Manager stalking our table
I was at Perkins with a couple of my friends, around 11:20. We were just socializing and enjoying our meal until one of the ladies working there continuously keep staring at us. She literally stood behind our booth watching us. I do not understand why she was doing that and I am offended really. This happened at the Perkins in colonial heights, TN.
bring back mini chimmys
I am shocked that they stopped making mini chimmys. They were the best thing on the menu. I am surprised they can even keep the doors open
pancakes
It used to be, when you ordered pancakes at a Perkins restaurant, they were the size of dinner plates. I ate at a Perkins last week and the pancakes were only the size of saucers. Very disappointing...and not worth the money. I have to agree with some of the others comments about the slow service. I have waited for as long as 20 minutes before receiving as much as a menu, then up to an hour for food. I have other things to do with my life, then to sit in a Perkins restaurant all day and get skimpy portions of food besides. Iowa
Distasteful Advertising
Perkins "Flippin" advertising is very distasteful and irritating. If they think more people will frequent their place of business with this type of trash they are mistaken. I will never go there again nor will my friends and neighbors. Your advertising people surely must be able to come up with something better than that!!!
The best meal ever at the Perkins Family Restaurant in Gettysburg, PA. Store manager thought the service was a little bit slow and she wouldn't let us pay for our dinner. I had the senior Talapia and my husband ate the senior turkey dinner. It was excellent, delicious, and just the right portions. I will look for another Perkins wherever I go. Please consider opening a restaurant in Atwater or Merced, California
Just tonight me and my boyfriend go to Shakopee, mn perkins to find that the last time we went my boyfriend accidently spilled a small amout of coffee creamer on the side of the booth. Well the manager Alex threatened me and my boyfriend not to do it again and mentioned he will be whatching us from now on. I find this very rude and out of control for the manager to be saying that. I will be calling headquarters about this first thing tommorrow and maybe report this to the police for verbal assault.
i work at the perkins in gillette wy.as an employee ive been trying to get help with certain situations that are going on there. the kitchen manager took a pancake out of the trash and served it to a customer. thats shoking to me. i cant talk to any of the managers about it because i had recently talked to human resources about thinga happening there and now alot of us are being punished for it. i would highly recomend nobody eat at the perkins in gillette until management is changed completely.
ate at stor 1289 in largo fl sat aug 4th. the service was goog the iced tea good and the three shrimp, nothing else. the cod fish extremely poor quality and way overcooked the clam strips no clam the fries way over cooked. my wife had fajitas poor. we ate on a previous sat and had poor food but not as bad as this on. we have bee going to perkins since 1990 but never again on saturday. the saturday cook should be sent to culinary school
We recently went to your restaurant in Independence, Mo the service was horrible especially the assistant manager who didn't even great us at the door just mumbled at us. Despite the fact there were 4 waitresses and only 3 customers we waited 15 minutes without anyone coming over. My husband asked to speak to the manager. Harry came to the table with a rude attitude from the start. His attitude only got worse until half way through the conversation he walked away held up his hand and made a rude sound. This is the 6th time we have had service like that at this store.
I was just at Perkin's and was very happy to see that the Steak and Potato omelet had returned. The last time this item was available as a limited time offer I had tried it and enjoyed it so much that every time I would go back to Perkin's I would look for this. While I was there, I had heard that the steak and potato omelet was not going to be available much longer. At this time I am requesting that this be a everyday item. I am really hoping that I can return to Perkin's before this goes away but I would be thrilled if you could take my suggestion and make it a everyday item. Thank you in advance for your assistance. I appreciate it deeply. Sharon Seibert
I love eating at Perkins until my last dreadful experience. A cold waitress that couldn't smile...all business....no personality. I like to eat at all Perkins restaurants whenever we travel but the restaurant closest to my home is absolutely the worst Perkins to eat at. It is the Selinsgrove PA Perkins. Our pancakes were not cooked properly, and the coffee tasted like lukewarm water. I presented the waitress with an online coupon honoring my birthday with a free Magnificent 7 breakfast. She assured me it was a legitimate coupon. My husband took the bill to the register and until I got to the register to give him the coupon they said they already entered the sale and they couldn't void it to use the coupon. It was we are sorry but too bad you lose. I spend quite a bit of money at Perkins but that was my last visit.
To the area manager: Fredericksburg location We went there once and the food was good, but we did not get everything in out order. The salad, dinner roll, and sides where missing. The cup was leaking. The waitress was terrible. She did not even care about the cup! Overall the service was terrible. Never going there again. Calling corporate office!
This morning my husband and I visited the Perkins Restaurant located at Exit 7 off Highway 81 in Bristol, VA. We have been long-time, faithful Perkins customers since our son worked for Perkins in Cape Canaveral, FL twenty years ago. Our first observation was that the wonderful, large muffins were now much smaller. When we pointed this out to the waitress, we were told simply that a different chef was on duty. WRONG ANSWER! Perkins should have a standard of quality. I would have held my tongue if a second incident had not taken place. The waitress poured my initial cup of coffee into what appeared to be a clean mug. My husband had a cup of coffee from the same table container. As the level of coffee went down in MY cup, dark spots of (whatever) collected on the sides of the cup. I touched some of the spots on the inside of the cup; they felt like hard little granules. The cup looked filthy. There were no spots on the inside of my husband's mug. When I went forward to pay the bill, I took my cup to show to the manager. He ACCUSED ME of having put something into the cup (I drink my coffee black, without sugar). That response was UNACCEPTABLE! My next letter will be to the county restaurant inspector.
I have been a customer of Perkins for the last 3 years. It's a convenient restaurant for my family to go. We enjoy the food and think that the prices are affordable. MOST of the staff however is absolutely horrible. I was once served cold coffee, which made my creamer chunky. The waitress also seemed to have an attitude. I did not tip her that time. The next few times I left the waitresses 2 dollar tips. My total is always $15-$16 I later found out that they complained about the tips I left them. A waitress is suppose to be tipped about 12%, which is $1.33. Do they really expect me to tip them 1/3 or more of my total. I have 2 kids and work minimum wage. Also another time my food was slightly undercooked, I became sick and had to leave before my child and I could even finish our food. Later, I found out your waitresses think it's okay to put their DIRTY hands on people's food. Not just mine either, EVERYONES. That is absolutely disgusting. How would they like it if somebody touched THEIR food with DIRTY hands????! Another time my sister in law went to the same location for breakfast to find a hair threaded through her egg. Seriously, don't you require hair nets??? Why's your staff not wearing them??? Also, most of the staff looks filthy, like they have not showered in days. I am curious as to what your company standards are?! Today, I went in and had to wait quite a while for my bill after the waitress acknowledged my child and I were finished with our meals. I saw they waitress serving 3 other families while I was waiting. I observed her several times preparing drinks in the kitchen, which I could see from my table. It also looks like from the reviews I have read from all over the country, this location is not the only one, that treats it's customer's horribly. Raise your standards for who you hire. There's plenty of people out there looking for jobs in this economy, that would love to take the place of your horrible staffs, and do the job right! As of right now, I am totally disappointed. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody.
i went too eat at perkins for the 1st time and last time in lehighacres fl on alva st.there were 3 people eating,i sat there after being seated for 20 min the girls were too busy looking at baby pictures then running for the tips people left. That was it for me never will i set a foot in that door again and they had the gall to ask me if i wanted cake or pie for lunch?they need a wake up call buy getting rid of all that staff!a coffee would have been nice.
To Whom It May Concern: Three and a half years ago my husband interviewed for a job with your company. In the interview it was discussed numerous times by the regional manager who interviewed my husband that Perkins was a “family oriented” business and put a high premium on family. This was the selling point for my husband as we have two young children. My husband was offered and accepted the position. He was offered a “salary”. This however, has not been the case. In three years my husband has worked EVERY holiday-Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving, Easter and a few of his children’s birthdays as well. The “salary” he was offered turned out to be hourly. In other words, if the general manager doesn’t schedule him 50 hrs., he ends up having to use vacation or sick time in order to get a full paycheck. To make matters worst, in 3 ½ yrs he hasn’t received ANY kind of a raise. Not even a “cost of living” raise. He was told he could earn bonus’ but even being at one of the top selling stores, there is always a reason that even though they made they’re numbers, they don’t get the bonus. Always an excuse. In the entire time he has worked for Perkins he has only gotten approx. $400 in bonus’. $400 in 3 yrs. – that’s a little over $100 A YEAR! He has given Perkins’ his blood, sweat and tears, working through fires and under despicable boss’s, all of whom have been let go do to their inability to manage. Through all of this he has never complained and never been late. Most of his sick time has been used in order to get a full paycheck. Not because he has been ill. In all, I have found Perkins to be ANYTHING BUT “family friendly”. My husband has been given “graveyard” shifts since starting. Never a weekend off or any holidays. As you can imagine, in three years, this is taking a very big toll on our family. All of this would be worth it if he could support his family on what he makes working for Perkins – but he can’t. We own our cars outright and have no outstanding debt. Our home mortgage is more than manageable but still we can’t make ends meat. In order to survive I have had to go back to work putting our children in daycare. Working for Perkins has pulled our family apart. We never see our dad/husband unless he is sleeping and we can’t afford even the basic necessities. I have had to apply for public assistance for things like our utilities and food. And based on what he makes we qualify! That alone should be a huge embarrassment to Perkins that they’re employees are paid so little they can qualify for government assistance. I am writing this anonymously to protect my husband from any backlash. He has no idea I am writing this. If you care enough, it should be pretty easy to figure out who he is. Signed, A very desperate housewife
Maybe if Perkins didn't give such "skimpy" portions, they wouldn't be filing for chapter 13. Perkins, either lower your prices or have bigger portions.
recently i had the opportunity to eat at a perkins outside of allentown pa. i opted for the meatloaf platter. everything was good except the meatloaf! quite possibly the worst meatloaf i have ever eaten. (still don't know why i ate it all) did not seem like any kind of meat i have ever experienced. service was great and quite possibly why i did not complain.
Mammoth muffins...hardly. They are smaller. Mammoth refers to something being large. This is not the case here. I am also wondering if corporate people work on Christmas Day like all wage employees and managers are required to do? I wouid suppose you are on a beach enjoying a cool poolside cocktail and dining with your families...or just at home enjoying family time while counting the money being made in your stores.
