broke chair

Avoid at all cost insurance. Scam....Save money and go to Walmart..same junk but walmart replaces.

Use Staples

Don't waste your time with this Company and especially don't purchase their insurance. They ask you to press 1 for English, yet 4 of the 5 people I have spoken with so far, barely qualify.

Work place

I think you should really have a policy on managers being allowed to open the store alone with a boy or girl together it should be 2 guys or 2 girls it should never be a guy and girl together because the next time my wife tells me her me her manager makes advancements towards her because he always makes sure that she opens with him alone there will be a problem he has ready taken her number for his perso al use not work related and was texting her non stop about baby siting for him and asking how school is going and looki g her up on Facebook writing her asking to be friends on there as well if something is t done ill take action myself

file cabinet

We bought a 2-drawer file cabinet and had some quality issues with it. Zach Tolliver, assistant manager/store #1019, helped resolve our issues. He was very polite, helpful, and professional. You are very fortunate to have such a fine young man represent your company!

I purchased a stamp on 3/021/2013 at office max on 8720 w charleston blvd.was told 5-7 Days, finaly today 04/01/2013 i call to see whats going on ,not there, now the telling me on the work order it says delivery 04/04/2013.asking for Manager ,getting the run a round ,then she says 7 working Days ok,today was 8 working days what a bunch of liars, never ever will i purchase something there again

Bought Lysol Disinfecting Wipes from their web site paid for them and for the shipping and they said to me that they’re not shipping it because they made a price mistake- a typo on their website, therefore they don’t need to honor it. Airlines make mistakes and they always honor them. Very disappointed!

I am a frequent customer to Office Max in Jensen Beach. Florida! This time I needed tech support on my computer (after trying to deal with it through an out of country tech support group...(I YOGI through Yahoo). This was a 1 week expensive nightmare!! The staff and techies at this store went beyond the call of niceness to fix all of the problems! It was "TARA" who first greted me and made me sit down while she checked on my "MOUSE" which I had been told was broken!!!! (NOT SO!) I do not know all of the names but every one in this OFFICE MAX knew my frustration and were exceptionally caring and concerned! If possible I would like OFFICE MAX to put my accolades in their personelle folders! My praises have already gone out in the form of telling everyone in my condo comples...church friends etc...as I am a good referral source! Thanks for a great Company!

Office Max... Don't beleive them!! I have many electronic's in my home bought at office max.. Bullhead city Arizona...less than a year ago I upgraded and bought a dig. camera from them as well as a two yr insurance plan. The first yr. the mantifacture would replace camera the following two yr. "the great insurance was thru good old office max"! well the camera died in the first six months, our good friends at "office max discontinued their camera sells", had to fight with them to go through the maker of camera "they just wanted to give refund in Store Credit".. "I do not want store credit if i can't buy another camera" I Want Another CAMERA.. two months later got mantifacture to replace $ 185.00 of a $ 240.00 purchase to buy camera else where, now Office Max the insurance I bought from your store, " CAN'T INSURE WHAT WE DO NOT CARRY IN OUR STORE" the insurance that was to back me up after the first year that "I paid for" the Insurance price that "YOU HAVE REFUSED TO REFUND" that was to cover the camera for the second and third year, "the inurance that the camera never lived to see" the insurance "profet that went in your pocket" hell that insurance would not have even come into play until the end of Oct. 2013 "office max you insured something you knew you were going to discontinue" knowing it would never come into play and now you will not refund the monies you collected on it, I spend 240.00 get back 185.00 whats wrong with this picture??We the common working middle class America exspect to get what we paid for, now if the camera would have lived a long life that would have been understandable "insurance is for in case of" But you people isured something you knew you were no longer going to carry or be able to replace! Then refuse to refund, my advice to anyone out there "Do Not Buy From Office Max" and if you do ask if they entend to carry that product long enough to buy the protective insurance!!!!!!!!!! AGAIN WE SOLD IT TO YOU BUT WE DON"T CARRY IT ANYMORE SO YOUR OUT OF LUCK>> YOUR INURANCE POLICY THAT WE SOLD TO YOU NO GOOD IF WE DO NOT SELL THE PRODUCT ANYMORE. THE CAMERA DIED BEFORE THE INSURANCE WENT INTO EFFECT! SHAME ON YOU OFFICE MAX SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually work for Officemax imprses and at my store we have no such policy. When we get the email tellin us we hae an FTP (online) order we call the utomer to onfirm we have recived it and to find out the time they need it by.Whatever officemax you used in this case sucks . Apprantly they havent completely trinaed their associates or their associates jus don't care. The As an imprses associate you are supposed to make sure the customer gets what they want when they need it by. And if an issue arises you are to call the customer and let them know and see what we can do it fix it.Thats all i had to say thanks for reading> =^.^=

I realize this blog is old, but the same issue can haeppn. The Process for on-line ordering is great for House customers with large files over 5mb each and complex collation and fullfilment.I encourage customers, whom know the store level printing department to just email a request. My POINT:1- you have to input the same information2- you can get email confirmation of delivery3- your contact information is in the email4- the print dept. checks email every hour5- it is more personal6- If files are large, an ftp upload can be done- easySometimes technology is great for most, but when you need it now, and you need to know it will be ready.EMAIL directly- All stores have it.Personally- I can help the customer faster, have less questions with the email solution. The on-line ordering is complex, slow, and less personalized.Chase Beach

dear grammar slouch- you should really get a new advertising company if you cannot take the time to proof read your ads..... the july 22, 2012 ad has a coupon for- "5.00 off you're 25.00 purchase" come on now- someone is either extremely stupid or this is a really bad joke- and if you don't now what i am referring to that is even a sorrier state for office max!

Went to a store in philadelphia pa to get a ink cartridge refilled wastold it would take only fifteen minutes after waiting for tem minutes was told that the cartridge would would have to be left and that i would be called when it was done cartride was left at 10:00 am sunday as of 6:00 sunday still did not here from them Ironicly the store had just opened and i was the the only one in the building but they were all to busy to do it store help was crude and ignorant will never go back

I took papers into an office max to get faxed and they sent the papers to the wrong number. These documents that were faxed had private information on them such as bank account numbers, social security numbers, addresses, etc... When I called the store I was told that there was nothing that could be done. There was no way for them to trace where the papers got sent. No one seems to be willing to take responsibility for their mistake. VERY disappointed and mad. I will be checking often to see if anything happens with identity theft, if this occurs Office Max will be held accountable for any damages done to these accounts.

OFFICEMAX, 1568 MARINA BOULEVARD, BULLHEAD CITY, AZ. DO NOT OPEN YOUR EMAIL IN THEIR STORE facility. On 02/13/2012, I needed to print a document, I was 100 miles away from home,(I had used this store location before) I went into OfficeMax copying department and requested to use their computer to access my email. YOUR PERSONAL EMAIL ACCOUNT WILL GET HACK Today, I have tried to access my email from my personal computer and every time I kept getting a message on my screen telling me "UNAUTHENTIC UNATHORIZED WEB CERTIFICATE" and shuts me down. These stopped when I finally was able to log in and CHANGE my PASSWORD. As I said, I had used this OFFICEMAX facility before around September 2011 and guess what I had the same problem, at that time every customer in my contact list received marketing propaganda showing my email address. I am not in the Marketing field. I immediately call OFFICEMAX in BULLHEAD CITY, AZ 928-704-4333 and requested to talk with store manager. I was transfer to a man, who said his was SAL(probably not correct spelling) I explained to him that I had been at his location to access my personal Email the day before and that was the only time I had OPEN my personal Email and today I was having issues trying to access my email from my personal computer and I remembered using their Copier department computer in September from this same location and somebody kept breaking into my personal email and send mischievous emails to my contacts, and now it made perfectly sense that both times that I had access my personal Email from their facility, both times my Email gets hacked into, Sal explained "that the computer in the Copier Department all the public have acces to it, and next time I want to print a document to just go head and EMAIL it to their EMAIL ADDRESS" AS HE FOR REAL. OFFICEMAX charges $1.50 per minute for the use of their store computer, I do not believe that the public is going to seat for hours at OFFICEMAX store computer trying to break personal Email's private PASSWORD at the rate of $90.00 dollars an hour. The first time, I lost quite a few of my customers because of this action, I could not figure out who had broken into my EMAIL account, I submitted a complain to MSN customer support and guess what they shot down my personal EMAIL that even I could not have access to it, I lost ALL my list of contacts along with very important Email letters, Email Contracts. This time I have no idea what kind of damages have been done yet, I'm afraid to even find out.

I tried to order 1 ink cartridge, but the website kept kicking me off, then had me down for 3! The order automatically had the money taken from my account, even though I was constantly told I wasn't being charged until the order ships. Lo and behold the order just "happened" to ship the same day, even though I asked for an IMMEDIATE cancellation and credit to my account. I was told they couldn't credit my account back on the spot and would have to send my "request" to another department and THAT would take 24 hours! Really. How did my order which takes 1-5 day to ship get process before my cancellation and refund??!! OfficeMax's customer service is a joke! Reporting them to the FTC.

It doesn't get any worse. I thought CVS & Longs Drug Stores had bad service. Both OfficeMax stores on Maui need to rethink their employee training program. The employees are not friendly and lack basic knowledge. If I was a stock holder (I'm NOT) I would be selling every share I owned in OfficeMax. How can these guys exist? The U.S Postal Service gives better service and I think their about 7 billion in the red.

I am sending this letter to complain about an order I placed with your Company. See timeline below. Ordered Laptop online Friday Dec 2nd (I placed this order because of an email sent on Friday Dec. 2nd advertising Black Friday, every Friday) Money withdrawn for Laptop Wednesday Dec. 7th Called Customer Service Thursday December 15th I called customer service because when I tried to track my order (#934673042), your website said it was not a valid order number. I was told that the laptop was delivered on December 8th, via third party and a ticket (#8000247905) was opened to track my order. I was told I would receive a call in 48 – 72 hrs. Called Customer Service again Sunday December 18th I was told that the ticket had not been looked at yet. I indicated if I did not receive a call by Monday (the 19th) to cancel my order since the laptop was a gift for my daughter’s Christmas Eve birthday. Customer Service called Tuesday December 20th I was told that the order was cancelled, it never shipped(lack of stock in warehouse). I asked why my money was taken and why did the two customer service people I talked to, did not see that the order was cancelled by the warehouse. She indicated that they must not have been looking in the right place. I was then given a credit # and was told I would receive a credit in 3 – 5 business days. Money debited into my account Friday December 30th. I am very aggravated by the entire situation; first, because my money was taken when my merchandise did not ship. It took 2 calls and 5 days later I found that my merchandise in fact did not ship and it took another 10 days to get my money refunded. To add to the disaster, I have been unable to get another laptop for my college-aged daughter under $400.00 anywhere since they a

Black Friday Online Experience: Just like another customer found out, I ordered a computer online during Black Friday sale. I received error messages on both attempts. I change to Google Chrome and my purchase went right through with email confirmation and shipping confirmation two days later. Sounded great a computer arrived a week later. Two weeks after arrival of computer two more computers arrive and my account is debited for the computers; No confirmation, no tracking, no notice at all. I brought to box store and of course they gave me the run around. I called customer service from store and they stated they did have server issues and multiple orders went out. She spoke directly to manager to give return information and to debit my account (I thought). Manager inputs information and says it will have to be store credit. Yes, store credit on computers I never purchased. We went back and forth on the phone and one on one and finally I have to wait for Office Max to pick up computers, get to warehouse, and then they will debit my account. This at Christmas with $650.00 of my non-authorized money in their pockets. I will never work with this company again. Their business structure is pitted against each other. Even when they caused the issue, talked directly with each other, and agreed they were at fault they still would not rectify the situation. This is a very disappointing experience. 12/22/11 Bank Account has not been credited. Calling at 9:49 to inquire about progress to customer service advocate. Pulled up first order. Told it will be 6 to 10 business days which leaves best case scenario at the 29th of December. It was obvious in conversation she would not be able to do anything. Simply apologized for inconvenience. Sent the second of two online requests for help. First came with no reply as of 6 days. Below is from 12/22/11 at 10:01 am. Below Added and Mailed to Corporate at 263 Shuman Blvd Naperville, IL 60563 Your company’s unwillingness to be “customer advocates” has created a stressful situation for me. Unfortunately, I can only complain and spread the word as far as possible of your inept business practices that advocate for individual departments and not the customer. I most likely will incur a late fee on my automatic mortgage payment, a late payment mark on my credit report, and late Christmas presents as you are holding on to my money that was never authorized to be debited. I still find it hard to understand how you can admit to a mistake (Servers causing unknown multiple orders) and not fix the issue immediately when brought to your attention. The inability for your separate departments (Customer Service and Box Store) to talk with each other and fix this for a customer is a sign of a non-customer advocate culture at OfficeMax. I now have a better understanding of why our school district uses Office Depot as a vendor and not OfficeMax.
