I recently shopped at the Waukesha, WI store and was there 3 1/2 hours and dropped some serious $$$. The two girls that helped me (Erika & Monique) were AWESOME. They picked out most of my clothes by figuring out what works best with my size and shape. I felt like I had two of my closet friends with me. They were always honest in regards to what looked good and what didn't. I totally appreciated their help. They had excellent customer service and I am excited about my new wardrobe.

I recently shopped at the Sioux Falls, SD store. I had the most WONDERFUL experience. The store recently underwent some remodeling and their selection of sizes in the styles was excellent and there were more than enough dressing rooms for everyone. The staff was very helpful and friendly...especially Shelby. She was so awesome! I came in looking for two pairs of dress pants and left with around $300 worth of merchandise. I am set for the summer! She was great at showing me different pieces that worked together and I have a great looking summer wardrobe of coordinating pieces. I can't say enough about her! The rest of the staff and the store were exceptional too. I will definitely be going back and also telling my friends about the great experience I had there. I will be working in an office soon in a professional environment and I plan on purchasing all of my work clothes there as well. The quality of your clothes is great and the selection was awesome! I spent 2 1/2 hours there and it seemed like 10 minutes. I hope Shelby will be there when I come back, but if not I know I'll be in good hands. She even convinced me to open a credit card account through Maurices and I have no regrets. I plan on making many more purchases there in the future and will enjoy taking advantages of the additional coupons and savings she told me about.

My wife has been employeed with Maurices for six months at the Bedford, Indiana store. The entire time she has worked there it has been more of a "bad girls club environment." The manager there thrives on drama! The entire staff is scared of her. She makes it a hostle work environment for everyone. She is not professional to say the least. Everytime there is an issue at work she text messages the girls, causing drama. She won't call the girls because she wants to text them and see how they respond. She feeds off of having control over the girls who work for her. My wife was working part time hours last summer (20-30hrs a week). She recently has been working maybe 5-8hrs a week. All day every day, even with her only there a day or two out of the week, the other girls are telling her the manager has been talking about her at work in a negative way. She did the same thing with my wife, telling her things about the other girls, when she first started. Mind you, my wife has never called in work and has filled in for all the girls one time or another. Last week my wife was scheduled to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday. My wife and I have a twenty-one month old little girl who became sick on Friday. My wife worked Friday. Come Saturday, we took my little girl to the doctor and she was diagnosed with Pneumonia. When she called to tell her boss that she was unable to come in, she was told that she must come in because there wasn't anyone to cover her hours, so my wife went to work. Sunday morning my daughter was so sick my wife and I took her to the hospital. There, they said she had RSV and must be admitted into the hospital. Three hours before my wife was suppose to work she notified her boss that she was not going to be able to work that day. Her boss then, through a series of text messages only, FIRED her! Upset enough that our daughter was ill, my wife had this to deal with. Her boss showed no concern whatsoever. We are now home after six days in the Hospital with our little girl running a 105 temp, oxygen level at 80% and a heart rate consistantly double what is should be. She is now causing more drama at the store by telling the girls who still work there, my wife was fired because of her work performance, along with other lies. The truth about the way that place is run is going to come out so we are taking this matter all the way to Corporate and I want to let everyone know that the Maurices of Bedford Indiana is being operated this way.

THE PARKING LOT AT THE "NEW" STORE IN CRAWFORDSVILLE INDIANA IS AWFUL!!! NO ONE WILL TAKE CARE OF IT,YOUR EMPLOYEES HAVE CALLED IT IN AN NOTHING... LOSING BUSINESS DAILY!

I currently work at Maurices and am seeking alternative employment. It is a terrible place to work with terrible corporate policies. Everything from there is made in China and falls apart. Maurices treats their employees VERY poorly. Don't support this business.

I am writing because I was just in the Maurices store in Visalia Ca. It's a fairly new store but evertime I go in there the irls are really nice except for tonight. I walked in and was greeted and the sales lady did start to help me but when I told her I didn't really care for a particular item the service stopped there. I walked around the store for about 5 more minutes to see if it was just me over reacting but the sales associate didn't offer any other help after that. She looked my way a few times butthat was it. Myself being in retail felt that was awful customer service and if that's how you treat your customers then you need to find another career. Being in retail you need to remember that your customer is your number one priority and satisfying them is what your there for they are the reason you have a job. I tell all my friends and family member's about this store and all the nice clothes that you carry but after this experience I'm not sure I will have great things to say or even reccommend this store to anyone.

The Benton Ar store WAS my favorite place to shop. Now there is a couple of women that work there and all they do is set behind the register. What happen to the awesome customer service? This lady named Cindy "I think" was very rude and acted like she couldn't or didn't want to help me. One girl with red hair was very friendly to be and offered to help me and said she was sorry.

My fiancé worked for Maurices for approximately 6 months as a store manager. She absolutely loved her job, unfortunately upon noticing that there was significant loss prevention issues she immediately reported this to her District Manager. Upon the information coming to the DM, there were policies implemented for just the Store Manager which was a violation of Discrimination. In progressing this process up the Corporate chain, the DM pulled Leisa into the back office and forced her to resign or she would be terminated. I have made every attempt to get this rectified, but this behavior has been condoned by all HR Executives in an attempt to cover their tracks and avoid a Discrimination Lawsuit. In addition to this they would not pay her for her remaining time worked, vacation earned, etc. This was such a huge disappointment as Leisa loved this job and felt like her career was on track. What an ugly world the corporate environment can be, and this is no place for discrimination, unfortunetely Maurices does this commonly, there does not appear to be any Core Values for this organization.

I have been a good customer of Maurices for many years. Also with a VERY GOOD credit rating. I buy many clothes for myself and also my two daughters. I want you to know that I went to pay my payment of 8.46 in May. I left and then went to pay my next payment to a local health facilty. When I got there I noticed the check for the health center was gone. So I thought about it and came to the decision that I must of accidently gave it to the Maurices. So I went back, thinking they would meet me at the door telling me about the mix up. Well, I was wrong. I had to explain to them that I gave them the wrong payment. The check I gave them was not made out to the payee of Maurices, instead to a health facilty. The associate told me there is nothing they could do. I would just have to wait for a credit the following month. I could not beleive what I was hearing. The store endorsed and remitted a check that was not intended for them. They never looked at the payee name on the check, can you believe that. I realize I was the one who made the initial mistake of handing them the wrong payment, however how can they endorse this? When I got home I called my local bank and they suggested to stop payment on the check seeing that it was not intended for them and not in their name and they legally cannot cash this. So I did. And I called the store and let the associate know what we decided. I was very nice through this whole issue. And the associate was also very sorry for the confusion as she was the one who did the banking that day at the end of the day. I do not think they knew what to do, so they did nothing. But I could see they were concerned as when I contacted them about the letter I had gotten from the collection agency they did remember and seemed to be concerned for themselves. So once I stopped payment I thought that would take care of it and it would be solved. However last Friday when I received a letter in the mail from a collection agency that they have my name that I stopped payment on in a check varification database, due to it was returned. I stopped payment as it was not intended for them. And they should of not endorsed and ran it through as though it was a payment for them. So now I am in the process of trying to straighten this out. I am 57 years old and NEVER had a bad check or bad credit or anything of the such. How could anything so simple be made into something so confusing. I contacted our local bank today and they said this is up to Maurices to do the leg work here as it was their mistake to sign and endorse the check. I do not know where this check is as it is not back to the bank. And my acoount with Maurices is showing a credit of 70.88. I NEVER owed this amount and if the corperate office would just bring up my account, along with a picture of the check submitted to them which I had to stop the payment they would realize that Maurices is not the payee on the check. I beleive I could actually get the associate and manager of the store some trouble for just not contacting me first, before they ran the transaction with a payment not made out for Maurices. How can you manage a business when you don't even look at a name on a check to see if it is intended for them?? However I will settle if they will just check into it and contact the collection agency they hired to collect money from me that I DO NOT OWE!!!! Maybe you can help me or forward this issue to someone who could. I have all the dates, transaction slips and anything they would need to make this a simple fix. The store manager where this happened is also working on this, however not fast enough for me. I want and deserve a answer soon and it is my good name wavering on a mistake that an associate and manager did not assume responsiblity for. Please help. To whom it may concern My daughter, Abby Biggins, was an employee in your store in Fort Dodge, Iowa #0150. She worked there for 3 weeks and absolutely loved doing it. When she was filling out her application, and being 17 years old, didn't have much of a work history, just a job at a local pizza place that she held for 2 weeks. She quit that job because it was a scheduling conflict and the manager there wasn't willing to work around things. She quit after two weeks because of those reasons. When my daughter, Abby, was filling out her application for Maurices she asked me if she should put it down and I said no, because she really didn't work there long enough for anyone to give her a job reference performance. So on my advice she didn't put the job down. Well, Wednesday, the acting manager at store #0150, Lauren Pike, called Abby in and asked her about it and Abby told her why she didn't put it down and the manager said they would have to look into it. THe manager called some of Abby's references and they were great! On Friday, Lauren called Abby in and terminated her employment with Maurices. I feel really responsible for giving her that advice. Abby didn't not put it down to cover anything, just being naive. The part that now is bad, is a 17 year old now has two short term jobs to put down on her next job application. The manager then turned around and hired one of Abby's good friends. This girl even was fired from a job that she held for 1 1/2 years and didn't put down on her application. Now how fair is that? No wonder this world has so many people that are struggling with jobs. If every company bases their decision on something that black and white with someone at 17 than how can someone much older catch a break with even a longer job history? Abby is a very nice nice girl,she just listened to her mother's bad advice. She is involved in the catholic school, that she attends with various groups and cheerleading. I am marketing and public information director for the same Catholic High School. I will make sure that I talk to as many people as I can about this and like-wise will Abby. She has been taught to be honest, and truly is, so this error was just omission. So for some 24 year old to imply, not knowing her, that she is dishonest, is very insulting to me. Sounds like you have a strong message to your employees about obtaining business, but we will make sure that as many people that we talk to know the unfairness and uncompassionate treatment of Maurices by their management and won't take long in a town the size of Fort Dodge to get around. No one that Abby, or I, have talked to can imagine the injustice of the whole scenario. You would have thought that she stole something! I hope that I receive a reply from someone with your company about this. I feel like 2 weeks at a job does not constitute a work history to me, I guess.
