The Market Basket that operates in Massachusetts and New Hampshire is not headquartered in Texas. Their corporate address is 875 East Street, Tewksbury, Massachusetts 01876. You may call them at (978) 851-8000 or fax them at (978) 640-8390. There are multiple chains that operate under the Market Basket name around the country but they are completely separate companies. I appreciate your enthusiasm but there is no official way to reach Market Basket on the Internet as they have no website. Best of luck to all the folks trying to get a real supermarket to locate in the Berlin-Gorham New Hampshire area.
I am a Zwolle resident and i am proud to say that I hate Market Basket. They are hurting people. People already can't afford food and then they come in and up the prices. A case of fish is now 90 bucks when it use to 30 bucks when Big Star was the owner. I have an elderly husband that is paralyzed and I tried to cash his check for him and they said that he needs to come in with his ID. That was a stupid thing to say and he can't walk and I can't tote him. I just hate Market Basket. Big Star needs to come back and come back soon. Market Basket is 3 times higher than big star and walmart combined. Just last week big star had a bomb threat because the prices are killing people. I hope Market basket wont be around long. I hate them.
I would like to put in a complaint about the Market Basket in Plasitow NH for Jan 8/2012 I went to pick up a few things that I needed to get by until I do my regular shopping and to my amazment they were doing inventory, what the hell do you people think you are doing having shoppers in the store and doing inventory ( this is so wrong) all these kids did were get in the way and I even ask one to let me in the cooler to get something and he said sorry lady but I'm counting these. I went up to the store checkout manger and told him excatly what I thought and If I ever go shopping there again they will be lucky.Wake the hell up you do not do inventoiry with shoppoers still in the store close the store for inventory.Oh I forgot the store manger said it was due to the kids being under 17 but you could sure fool me as I seen a lot of older then 17 doing inventory, so don't lie we are not stupid, I think MR MARKET BASKET NEEDS TO SEE WHAT REALLY GOES ON IN THESE STORES,OR MAYBE HE IS BLIND!!!!!!!! VERY DISAPOINTEDIN MARKET BASKET!!!!!!
I just want to complain about the Burlington, Ma store. No matter what dept. I go into, dairy, bread etc. I find that they don't rotate the merchandise. For instance I was buying a gallon of milk on Dec. 23, I was checking the dates and I found Jan. 7th in front and Dec. 26th in the back of the shelf. This is not the first time I have noticed this, when I spoke to a manager on a previous occasion he said he would look into it. Last night I was buying Market basket Chicken Salad and once again when checking the dates I found Jan 18th in front and Jan 13th behind it. About a month ago the store had marked down tubs of Olivio butter because it was going to expire in a day that was because they were stuck way in back while newer product was stacked in front of it. So if the store finds it throwing away expired product thats why!!!
I shopped at your Market Basket store on Saturday and Sunday, December 31, 2011 and January 1, 2012. I notice Monday, January 2, 2012, I had a lot of knats around my garbage. I just now went to open a new loaf of Market Basket bread, that had never been opened, which I bought Sunday, January 1, 2012. It was so full of knats, I grossed out. This store is located at Hwy. 398, Moss Bluff, LA. I have been a faithful shopper, but I am not sure anymore.
Hello, I have to travel 35 mins to go to Market Basket. I would love to have one close by Cumberland area. Is there a site I could go to & put in a request for one in this area??? Thanks.
I am a regular customer at 10 Main St , Tewksbury MA , I notice at the sushi department, there are 2 statues, a male god and a female goddess people worshiped at Chinese temples, I find it not very appropriate to put it there, when I call the manager to discuss it, he told me it's just a decoration, and just ignore my concern. I hope that you can ask them to remove this. Some Chinese restaurant owners put the statutes at their restaurant and put food offerings before them, so I think it's not appropriate for Market Basket to have these statues as decorations.

I shop at Storey Avenue, Newburyport Market Basket for myself and clients & love it! I'm amazed that most prices on everything from food goods to cleaning supplies are much much less than Walmart.......and not just cents difference from Shaws, but dollars......yes dollars difference. The staff is always polite, friendly and helpfull. I see many please "above" for a Market Basket in the Berlin Area.......that would be awesome, but even better would be one in Colebrook NH. The folks in the North Country of NH could desperately use one. The local IGA is just out of control with their jacked up high prices (they jack the prices up really high during ski mobile season)~folks up there are hurting$$ and surely could use a more reasonably priced store. Besides more for your dollar, a store up there would provide jobs~something else that is SORELY needed as many jobs have been lost due to closing of Ethan Allen Furniture manufacturing Plant, Various paper mills & now the Balsams Grande resort/Hotel. Please consider opening one in Colebrook NH (the old RiteAid building is sitting vacant~may have to be enlarged, but would be perfect other wise). Thank you so much! Sincerly, Debra Cashman PS~ I hope you will reconsider letting Suzy Heck tp start receiving out of date/old produce again to help her with her Wildlife center. I donot personally know her just read her plight above & it just seems like the right thing to do. Thank you.
Good morning, I just wanted to leave a quick message in regards to the flier that was put out this week.. You printed a great big Merry Christmas, across the top... Thankyou so much it was so great to see a company as large as your still willing to say merry Christmas to your customers! Not happy holidays or some of the other crap alot of companies are forcing their employs to say these days! So good for you!! And I just wanted to say Thankyou! It is Christmas and we should still be able to speak it!!! Hey market basket!!!
if there were more stars i would give it to the market basket in chelsea mass. the store manager kevin, is one of your best assets, he has helped me on may occasions and is the most pleasant man i have met. Being in retail my whole life its amazing the kind of service i receive at this store, he and his amazing staff should hear of this because too many times you hear the negative. I use to shop at stop and shop but no more this store will be my favorite from now on thanks for having such great people thanks irene jordan
I live south of Boston in Weymouth. I visit my son in NH and I shop at the Market Basket in Hookset and Concord. Why hasn't Market Basket opened a store in the south shore of Boston. We only have Stop and Shop, Shaws, and Hannaford's. Market Basket would be an asset to have in the South Shore. Any possibility of that occurring in the near future?
The product -CHTOURA (garden) Fig Jam with Sesame Seeds - available I see from several of Market Basket stores in the Dover NH area, is one of the most awful products I have ever tasted. Fig jam is one of my favourites and I have tasted it in many coutries, but this particular item should not qualify as fig jam.
A lady by the name of Avon Knowlton was a speaker at the town meeting the other night! She informed everybody that there will be a Market Basket built in Merryville! IS there going to be one established in Merryville so all the rumors can be stopped! We need a newpaper announcement to inform all the people of Merryville! Thank You!
Plaistow NH, went shopping and the bag boy mustv have ucut himaelf.because there wasv bood on my bags. the store is nasty and gross an noone in managemnt cares.o
The quality of Market Basket brand products is greatly declining and the prices are climbing. I used to shop here for significant savings compared to Hannaford, but that is quickly changing. The size of Market Basket brand toilet paper is becoming invisible. Their brand cream cheese taste terrible, and they aren't carrying bounty select size, instead they want you to buy their cheap brand of towels. Brownie mix is getting ridiculously priced and so aren't the eggs and bacon. They are cheaping out on quality, and the size of products is decreasing while the prices soar. I'm very disappoointed.
Gloucester, MA store is excellent with a helpful staff; but the new, krappy plastic shopping bags didn't even make it up my driveway(!) They are WAY too thin and cheaply made. I always use plastic, as I reuse every last one of the;, but when they can't even make it into my kitchen, I am left with some shredded, useless pieces of bags and damaged groceries. Surely I can't be the only customer suffering from this issue.
i live in nh i think the market basket in concord nh is great but not much parking i think it would be good if they build ahuge one in chiester nh lots of land there for sale and great for surrounding areas further away from concord
I travel quite a distance to shop at Market Basket and love the store. Can you please influence someone to open a store in the south shore of Boston, i.e. Quincy, Weymouth area. Going north is difficult to go through Boston and also going to Bellingham on 128 its at least 40 minute ride Please consider this area . Thankyou and you will have many more shoppers believe me. Thanks for your time. Chickie Antonuccio- Quincy MA.
I was visiting with family in Lake Charles, Louisiana today. (I visited the MB on Ryan St.) I went by to get a king cake...when I lived there Market Basket always had WONDERFUL King Cakes (Not Randazzo good but good enough for Lake Charles). Well, I got a strawberry and cream cheese filled King Cake. Until I got home to New Iberia (two hours away!!) I did not realize what they sold me was a plain, DRY as a bone in the desert, King Cake. I am very disappointed but LESSON LEARNED! Now more MB king cakes for me EVER AGAIN! ~~~~~I should have remembered that my friend was ASSAULTED at the MB on Fifth Ave. in Lake Charles and the MANAGER did NOTHING to help her!!!!! HE WATCHED!!!!!!! And then when the cops came he was of NO HELP!!!! PATHETIC!!!! JUST PATHETIC!!!!
