Saturday 28,2012 This is going on my 3rd year at Lowe's food and of course you know how I feel about my job, I love working at Lowe's food. I work the evening hours and nights.which of course I can work any hours. I tell the manager that and I been a good worker and I alway do as I am told: even if I feel they are unfair I just wish I could learn every thing: even opening the deli, but I have never been given that change. Their have been people hire after me, and their the ones who get 28 hrs or sometimes more and that makes me feel bad. I been with the store longer and I feel it is not fair. All workers should be treated fair, young, middle age,or older. I am glad that I can speak on this matter. Also breaks should be given fairly, and manager organize so that it is fair. Just like the customers we should treat them with respect. And be fair from the least to the richest. There was an man that comes in the store and always gets chicken two or three times a day and on Friday's he get a fish plate. I work in the deli and I will have customer's and you might have two in bakery cleaning and he is so nice and he stands there and waits. he has stood their as long as 10 to 15 or until I can get to him. My point is he may not be well dress but he is a customer. I have never seen a manager even speak to this man and he is a value customer. And all customers should feel important any thing they buy is spent at this store and that is what makes it better.
On Sunday April the 15, 2012 I started at work by 12:30pm It was a nasty mess. Salad stuff was sitting out and the young lady who left it went to lunch. I call James and he puts it up and says he will talk to her so when she comes back from lunch she slices roast beef for a customer and leaves it on the slicer. I say you know you left meat on the slicer and she says I have nothing to say to you and I say that is to bad because we have to work together and she says don'talk to me and I say that is impossible. I was train to be clean and keep stuff wash, meat rapt, and not leave a mess no matter how busy, it only takes a minute or two to clean, that whey when you have a customer you are ready to slice. On Monday 16 I am at work at430pm it was a nasty mess but I say nothing. The times I been took to the office for lies and poor management which never seems to a mayes me. And did you know some get breaks and some don't every thing should be made fair and organise and no one should leave another their mess and it fall on the evening workers just like we cannot leave till it is done it should be that whey for everyone some put stuff in the sinks leave pans and wipe down nothing unless a manager is their working with us, would'nt it be nice if every one could be trusted to do it anyway you would not have to worry about distrust
I love my Job at Lowe's food in Asheboro N.C. and the customers and all the k-ahs that comes with it. I love to work the better I get the more I can mutie-tack. There is a 23 year old young lady I work with that told me I was sorry it upset me but I tried not to let it bother me then another time I work with her she tells me the Manager says I use to call her and tell on people that upset me, then she say things to upset me that people say, I was told by a manager it did not matter if the customers like me or not. I think it does matter because when I am there the customers are happy to see me I make a lot of friends I am a people person that is a gift I do not want to be in a race with people to be better but to be good at what I do. I want to work the way I was taught and that was to be clean and customers come first and the ones I work with I expect them to be the same because no one wants to clean up another mess.and if you are a good worker the manager should not talk about there workers because they cause others to disrespect you and leave you there mess because the manager has to have someone to talk about. I started about a year ago writing about my experence and keeping up with dates and the things I have gone I though working at Lowe's as far as management and worker and I love working at Lowe;s
Friday April 13, 2012 I went into work at 3 PM At Lowe's food on 64 in Asheboro. When I I am busy with customers. The chickens that are cooking are done. So I take them out and be four I can get them put out I get busy again, now I am in the deli by my self while I am cutting for a lady who has went to look while I cut her stuff there is a man waiting. I hear Sue the manager over in the bakery talking about how long I have had them chickens setting out. That upset me because if I am waiting on customers. and she has time to tell two other workers that are in the bakery with her then they have time to get their tails over and help a coworker out that the way I see it. I also shop at Lowe's and would like to continue. And I am Thankful when I get enough hours I just wish you all had fair management Owners should always want what should be even better for business. I also want to say you have a manager by the name of Dave that is alway on the move to catch some one steals and he works hard and is always respectable the owner's of Lowe's need more like him.
Good sales, Good Customer Service. That is what I like when I shop. Most stores think they are not in competition, but every store that sales grocery and things we have to have. I really do not care much about prices as long as I get good customer service and have a nice day. I do like bargains when I can get them. What more do you need then a good feeling about where you shop. Friendly people Who even if you are upset just have a way of making you feel better and making you smile. I work at the Lowe's food on East Dixie Drive in Asheboro. In 2011, I work in the Deli my baby got sick, and I called in. Sue Nance anwsered the phone. I talk with her,I told her about my baby and I could not work. She said if you had not spead your legs, you would not have that problem. It really hurt me she was so uncaring, and James was all the time on my back. Sue MC'Donold was nice to me. But she was mean to others. I quit and never been back. I think what owner would have such management running their store. I talk to a friend who is being treated bad so I am sharing my experience. I do not know if it would help my friend or others but I hope so This for those who needed a Job and had to endure being hurt.
Hi, I work in the Deli/Bakery, and I love the work. I love waiting on the customers, and making them smile, and of course to get their orders right. I am a good worker; not treated to good by management. I wish things could be different. We serve fish plates on Fridays. On Friday, February 10th I worked from 12-6pm at 4:30pm Jamie who is boss on Sundays and when the manager is not there. I tried one of the hushpuppies and it was not done in the middle so I went to her and she called me a lier. A man and his wife came to the Deli and I let him try a hushpuppie he said it was not done so I ask him if he would tell Jamie and show her it was not done she was not nice about that at all not even to the customer, she came and took the hushpuppies and cooked them longer this time they where done. She said I hope you are happy. She was mean about it . Then about time for me to leave she said she was sorry. I think even those over us should set a good exsample and make sure the food is what they would want to buy. On Saturday March 3rd 2012 I Worked that evening With a lady name Sherry. We always have cleaning but customers all ways come frist. I was waiting on a man that wanted some chicken salad. He was not sure about what kind he wanted so I said we give samples and these 3 ladies come up and said yes we want samples. Sherry was there and she wants me to give them samples. I said no I am with a customer and she got mad. The customer I was waiting on Thank me and he bought the white meat chicken salad. She treated me rude after a few minutes went by she said she was sorry
The Lowes Foods located at Midtown Plaza in North Wilkesboro, NC is the worst Lowes I have ever been in. The reduced meat and produce is always rotten and the clerks are rude. Products that are supposed to be on sale are constantly mysteriously ringing up full price. I was getting a refund on an item today that rang up incorrectly. The clerk took her sweet time and I told her to stop telling me to "have a nice day" after what she had put me through. She kept repeating it until I left. I have shopped in that Lowes Foods for many years because of the location, but today is the last time.
Everytime I shop at Lowes they ask me at check out if I found everything I was looking for. Now I just answer that it doesn't matter because they do nothing about it if I tell them what they don't have or aer out of. I have asked for 7 weeks in a row for them to order my cigarettes, which they never do, and no one can explain why not. The Managers ignore requests and the cashiers change weekly - they are absolutely clueless - they don't even know what the produce is called
I was in Lowes Food store a few minutes ago ,they had signs stating their system was down and could only accept credit and cash,the same signs were at the checkouts.I am a Blcak Vietnam Veteran with 26 years of honorable service,I was told by the cashier they were only accepting cash and credit,I ask her if they throught Blacks could not read because they did not ask White customers.What is wrong with Lowes????????????????? The store was located on Peters Creek Parkway in Winston Salem.
Dears Lowes, Your prices are so high that I started shopping at other stores. I noticed that the same product was about 2.50 higher at your store than at the other stores. You should be ashamed of the name Lowes there is nothing low about your store. Your gas is high too. Your gas was 12 cent higher on 93 octane than the other gas stations. Then you say you get a discount on gas. THERE IS NO DISCOUNT!!!!!! You have to pay 1 hundred doors to get 5 cents off on gas that is marked up sky high to begin with.
I have been a customer of Lowes for many years and eventough We have a food Lion 2 blocks away We travel 7 miles to Lowes because I felt the Quality was always better! Not any more!! I will never shop Lowes again. This weekend I went to our Myrtle Beach SC Lowes to buy seafood for a cookout.There was a sale on frozen Salmon with a large sign saying American Pride and the package had red,white and ble stars and stripes on it. I took the product home and discovered it was product of CHINA! A total deception! I returned it and decided to buy crab meat instead. Every brand of crab meat was from CHINA. After all the deaths that Chinese foods have caused in the last 5years Lowes buyers should be ashamed!! We will never shop at Lowes again!!!!
Today, I sent my daughter to purchase a few items along with her own purchases. She regularly shops there but I do not. Now I know why. When she went to the meat dept she had great difficulty finding an item that was on sale in your ad, due to sign positioning. This would have been ok if there had been "decent" customer service. The cashier at the self - scanner was resonably helpful and ask the market manager to come up front. He could have avoided much more confusion by offering to find the meat that she wanted. She said he just looked at her and walked away. A customer standing by was very friendly and helpful in finding what was needed. I have been a patron at lowes for over 5 years at the store located in Eastfield Village, Huntersville. I brought lotto tickets from Tuesday Evenine through Friday night at one time. The woman at the cashier had a hard time putting the two numbers in 769 and 402, $1.00 any and exact for each numbers, day and evening run. Suprisely, 402 came out on Thursday, June 4th, as any. I went to the store to discovered that it was a mistake with the ticket, for Thusday, exact was entered in twice because it was done manually. It took about 20 minutes to play the numbers. I understand that I will not be able to collect any funds. This is my fault too, cause I should have checked the tickets when she was done. But, I would feel better, if the manager(s) in the store will at least say "I'm sorry, but we will not be able to pay you any funds. I talked to two managers, one Saturday, and one today Sunday. Both said, you should have checked the numbers, which is right, but please show a little empathy. Thank you, Joan Amos
My overall experience with Lowe's has been positive (and lengthy -- SEVERAL years). I DO think the Lowe's card (with the demise of the S&H Green Stamp)was, in large part, simply a reduction in REAL dollars saved -- for those of us who do NOT have large families....which has prompted me to be less loyal..and to routinely shop at other stores. Deli: Meats (Boars Head) are just OUTSTANDING. Bananas: Have STOPPED purchasing at Lowe's. Very simply, the centers of your brand are ROUTINELY rotten..as are part of the bananas.....so, I've begun paying more...for GOOD quality bananas...at Harris Teeter (the Chiquita brand). Wish Lowe's would consider making a change...since price is NOT "everything". Given the amount of EACH banana I was having to throw away, I am actually SAVING money...by buying the more expensive Chiquita brand. Although I shop at Lowe's much less now,the personnel at the Guilford College/Greensboro-Jamestown store are FAR superior to many other grocery store chains...but..their job could sure be easier...if a bit more attention were paid to being a bit more competitive (especially on HBA items)....and improved quality..on bananas. My name is Marlene Cianciulli and I am writing regarding two managers in the Sanford, NC store. Jeff & Rob are to be commended on how they treat their customers. They handed our problems both professionally and more than fairly. We certainly appreciate their understanding and help. I have a complaint for the Lowes Food Store In Myrtle Beach, S.C. I went to the fresh meat counter to get 2 stuffed chicken breasts on Saturday May 22, I asked the butchers that were there when they were made and they looked at each other and came up with an assumed date of Probably Friday, May 21. So I took them home and on Sunday when I went to use them they had such an awful smell it would make you gag. I took them back and got a refund. The point is that they should be checking their meat case every day. This is unexcusable and so was their answer. My family could have gotten very ill if I had not noticed the smell or if someone else in the family just took them out and cooked them. I will not sell meat that is going to be though out the next day unless their going to eat it the next day. When they want a pound or two and their going to eat on it that week I cannot do it. We had a lady come to the deli who said she bought some boars head and she said it went bad the next day. The young lady I was working with told her well boars head meat go's bad fast. That is a bunch of bull if it went bad that is because it was sold on the last date to be sold And the manager expects me to keep my mouth shut. I am not going to go along with that. True every thing I have wrote in is true.
