I have been attending LTI in Lincoln, RI since August 2012. Everyone was nice to me and answered all my questions and was happy to help me... UNTIL i became a student. I am pregnant and had talked to a few people in the education department about taking a medical leave because the pregnancy is causing me to miss a lot of class due to doctors appointments and being in such pain that i cant walk nevermind drive to school. and i was told as long as i had a doctor note stating the leave it was possible... UNTIL i missed a day and the Dean had called saying I missed too much time, i explained my situation to her and she said my grades werent good enough for me to take a leave. so she gave me one option.... DROP OUT. I had explained to her that I only have one class left and im only doing poorly not only because of doctors appointments but because the teachers dont know how to teach. Student would ask questions because they are confused or want to clarify and the teachers response would be "weve been over that you should know im not explaining it again." After i had told her this she said its not the teachers fault student do poorly, they should know their material.... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? we as students are here to learn! people go to college to be taught to do things in a professional way... and these teachers are far from professional! this school is a disgrace... and i am sorry i chose it.... I chose LTI over community college not because it was closer, but because they say they have smaller classes... LIE! I have 31 kids in my class.... thats small? I DONT THINK SO! ~end rant~

I had to take my daughter to het surgery I the superviser called me and said I missed to many days which was only 2 days. I said we just came home from the hospital I told the school she had to get surgery before I started the course. he said okay I need you in the school tomorrow I said okay I have to bring my daughter he said ok. I come to school with my daughter and the director of education come in and said I had to take my 2 daughter out of the school. I explained the situation and she said leave. I told her I seen other parents with their kids who were non African American. she said she was not aware and to leave. she followed me out the school and didn't care of my situation and was nasty to me in Allentown, pa. I felt so embarrassed that she treated me so nasty. this school been nasty to me since day 1. why, I ask.

well at least i am not the only person with a bitter taste in my mouth from this company. i took the hvac classes and 2 years later still dont dont have a job in the field job placement ha. i also would never recomend this school to anyone.
Lincoln Tech is a JOKE! they act like they care about your future but they only care about their paycheck. i started back in march 2012 at the Allentown location and my advisor was SO nice... until i started school. now she walks by me and IF she's in a good mood she'll say hello. then there's another advisor (male) who touched one of my classmates (she's married) and i'm sure he does that to the other girls too. the staff are just plain RUDE and unprofessional. one lady from career services came to speak to my class on thursday and RUDELY put me on the spot for having red hair... it not only obthered me, but it also bothered my classmates! she could have said "to any of you with bright hair colors, you might have to change it" or something, instead of pointing at me and saying "YOU HAVE TO DYE YOUR HAIR BEFORE YOU GO ONE EXTERNSHIP BECAUSE MOST PLACES DON'T ALLOW THOSE COLORS" you know... ohh and they SWEAR like sailors... i mean they should lead by example and not use that language. they're on their cellphones and on fb non stop and we can hear their phones ringing, yet we have to keep ours on vibrate and in our bags. hypocrites much? and the fact that they pickk favorites is so not cool! OHHHH i almost forgot, they did not tell us we had to pay for the externship vaccinations until halfway through our course! so on top of the $15,000, we now have to pay $400 for freaking shots and tests. -end rant-

Thank you for creating such amount of content to inspire so many people. My appreciation to you. Much Love,Victoria
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO MY WORST ENEMY. Lincoln Tech Paramus campus is not a joke, it is a disgrace. When I first went to inquire about the school, they were nice and helpful. The moment I signed up and was in, they treated me horrribly. They treated me as if I was a bother when I came to anyone who worked there with a question. I was also unable to print a paper for class in the library on the printer. I was told I had to bring my own printer paper and they would not supply me with paper to complete my project. Dorothy Kotowski, one of the directors is a miserable woman who treats the students like underprivelaged idiots. They do not exude what they teach as nurses at all. They are not compassionate, understanding, patient, clear, concise, individualized or do they practice the importance of confidentially. Dorothy has slandered her co workers and secretary Genna in the hallways where all can be heard discussing her personal life and her boyfriend describing him as a ("peice of sh*t") She is a nasty woman and supports the fact that the techers or so called professors do anything other than teach. I can tell you more about their persnal lives than the material at hand. Professor Sanchez is horrible. John(don't know last name, teaches pharmacology) is horrible, Professor Oliveri, horrible Professor Madu is horrible. All of these teachers named are not good teachers at all. They take up half the class with their stories and jokes and do not know how to control the class at all which makes it difficult for those who are trying to learn. The school and students are on the highest level of ghetto. This is not a race issue because I am of color myself. The students curse, eat in class, talk in class, cheat in class and are from the bottom of the barrell and because the teachers are scared of the
I would like to thank the crew at Pro Tech for the help they gave my wife in her time of dispare. Her tsrasminsion stopped pulling and Allan and his crew went out of their way to assist and repair the tsrasminsion at what I have found out to be very competitive pricing. What we were sure would be a rebuild turned out to be a solenoid problem and was repaired quickly and professionally. Thank you again for your help. I would recommend your shop to everyone for any car repair as your mechanics are second to none and are very courteous as well. Honesty still lives in Rock Hill.Jerry
When I visited the campus in Arlington,TX, I was very impress with the school. I am suppose to start in October 2012,but I was told I needed to take the Wonderlic exam and had to pass to be able to attend. I ask the recruiter if I needed something to study before I took the exam and was told I would pass. Well, I didn't and if I failed the 2nd time that I would not be allowed in ? This really anger me because in high school or even grade school they tell what chapters to study before the test ? This policy has to change or I will find another school ? I hope corporate read this and makes a change asap because I am 55 years old with some college and high school diploma.
I am currently an LTI student in the Mahwah campus of New Jersey. The financial aid office seems like it's filled full of women who just get paid to sit and chat. I've been waiting on one of them to resolve a problem for me for three months now. They are unreliable and unprofessional. However, the instructors are extremely insightful and helpful with any and all problems. Had it not been for the bad staff in the financial aid department I would give this campus five stars.
I AM BEGGING EVERYONE WHO IS SERIOUS ABOUT NURSING DO NOT COME TO LINCOLN TECH, schedule changes at a flick of a flame, the director DOROTHY is nasty, and LINDA doesnt care about anyone or anything and will smirk and shrug her shoulders right in front of your face. Each semester they add and take away news things as they seem fit. they change the percentage of test and labs when they want as they did to me, first test were worth 40, then jumped to 55 because they took something out of the curriculum two weeks before the semester ended. they give you group projects and then accuse you of cheating, and the whole class got SUSPENDED because it was done under 10 mins, well geez i hope it doesnt take a hour with 6 freaking people in a group. They barely have clincal sites for us to go to, THEY ARE SO UNORGANIZED ITS UNREAL, THIS SCHOOL IS CREATED FOR YOU TO FAIL, I SWEAR I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO MY MOTHER AND CHECKED THE PAGE OUT BEFORE HAND, PLEASE LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES,THEY OVER SCHEDULE THE TEACHERS, AND THEIR HAS BEEN TIMES WHEN WE SAT IN CLASS WITH NO TEACHER!!!!
Please be sure to to your research! The school is currently under the state and in danger of loosing is accredidation due to the large amount of students failing the n-clex exam for your nursing license. Please do your research call Nursing Board in Newark to verify or have the point you in the direction of someone who can verify this information. LT will try to convince you that the reason for the students that failed is because they waited up to 2 years to take the exam. Common sense, that is like taking college couses and never returning to take your exam after hard work to get through the class, until years later. (maybe in a few cases, but not 75%) Unless there was a life and death situation there is no good reason to wait for years to take a test. I believe the rate of LT is 75% rate. Hence, is why the state is now involved. I just wanted to share. I wish I would have looked in deeper the background in reference to LT. They never take responsibility for what they are lacking and say that the failing student are the ones that post bad information...I am not a failing student just of victim of LT. There is a program in South Plainfield that is accredited and is about 16k as opposed to LT 27k. It would be worth looking into. Also, LT courses are not CREDIT courses but Hourly courses...meaning that you can not apply to college credits. Avtech in So. Plainfield has college credit courses, so thay you will not have to repeat courses if you decide to go for your RN. Also, a good majority of the teachers are nurses and have no teaching experience, so there will definitely be challenges in the fast pace environment to grasp the talking style of the teachers. Because the ones who are just knowledgable and have no teaching experience, except for working at LT are a hard-pass. You will work extremely hard, and going to the Director will prove to be a waste of time every time. they do not advocate for you as a paying student. Be Blessed and do well in whatever your endeavors are. This email is not to discourage you be to inform you of LT action.

here is a website for other schools. Be sure to do your research and make sure they have college credits, because hours really dont mean a hill of beans. http://www.nursegroups.com/LPN_Programs/New-Jersey There is a program in South Plainfield that is accredited and is about 16k as opposed to LT 27k. I have been attending Lincoln Technical Institute for about 4 months now. Rules change daily - without even the hint of a notice. We have medical assisting teachers teaching surgical tech courses, to which they know nothing about! I hear from my surgical tech friends that if they have a question, the instructor doesn't know the answer half the time and says, "I'll have to ask the ST instructor and get back to you." And these students are supposed to learn and pass tests?! I've witnessed my co-medical assisting students blatantly cheat on tests - on their phones googling answers to the test and the teacher catches them, and no repercussions! I made an honest 88% on that test, and the cheater made a 92% FROM CHEATING... and her grade was accepted!!!! I've also had bad health problems recently - I had a seizure and was out of class for 4 days. With a doctors note, I was able to make up my test and turn in my homework without penalty. A few weeks later I threw out my back and was out 1 day. I turned in all of the doctors notes excusing these absences. When I came back to school, the dean told me that, due to my attendance, I had failed my classes. I begged and pleaded for some way to make it up, pointed out that I had my excused notes (which I was told DO NOT count against your attendance) and she said "tough cookies" there's nothing I can do. So, I went to speak to the registrar about re-taking those classes, and she told me that I had other options - that because I had doctors notes, and I was making exceptional grades, I shouldn't be failing the classes! When both she and I confronted the dean - that lady YELLED at me calling ME a liar! I had to ask her to lower her voice and talk to me more professionally! How politically incorrect is that?! She eventually "allowed" me to pass those courses, but ONLY because I called her out in front of another co-worker. What?!?!?! This place only wants your money. DON'T waste your time! They will try to intimidate you and fail you because that's how they get more money. (Also, there are students in my class that FAIL - and I'm talking 30-40% on all of their tests - but pass the course because your attendance holds more weight than an actual grade does.) BTW - our school has gone through 3 MA Directors in 4 months - they all quit. If that doesn't show you how shitty of a school this is, then nothing will.
So I'm interested in attending the Queens, NY Lincoln tech. I went last year for an interview as well as Fin Aid. Well I was good untill I was told to put down $2000. Which I didn't have and no one in my family would help me. No one at this school said any other options I had. A few weeks ago I went to Dyno day. Filled out some info for someone to call me. They did some woman named Juliana, she sounded nice when she left a message on my phone. Then when I called she said hold on and I waited for her. Once she said she had my file or w.e. her tone change she sounded like she was eating and didn't care that I had questions. I did ask about a scholarship which they are givin only to H.S students. Okay then I hanged up because I felt like she didn't care much for what I had to say. So you want 30K from me and then can't answer 2 simple question. Where do you get these people? Because I want to work with cars doesn't mean I'm shit. I went to college like some of them did. Had good grades but I wanted to Work in the auto industries. Yeah you may say why don't I just go back. I don't want to I want to do what I want and like. Thank you
As a father that had a son go thru was good. I am upset with the staff not knowing how to set up a draft then submit your information to a collection agency for payment. Many times talking to staff and explaining how it is to come out of account they couldn't do it for they were trying to take out of 2 different accounts, duh. How many people has this happened to? I'm sure were not the first and won't be the last. Lincoln Tech management and staff need to take heart and read some of these.
I am very upset with Lincoln Technology in Franklin, Ohio. I originally attended Southwestern College of Business for Administrative Medical Assisting Associate Degree. The school was later purchased by Lincoln Technology. I recently went to obtain my Transcripts and was told that I never completed my Associate Degree because they didn't have a complete set of Transcripts for me. Six months ago I sent for them and they mailed them right out with no problems. I do not understand how they could possibly lose my Transcript file. I have contacted my Attorney and I hope that my Transcripts can be found.
when i first applied to lincoln tech i wanted to get my education started to begin a new career. unfortunately the allentown campus administrative staff lacks any empathy or compassion towards their students health, which is surprising seeing as how they offer multiple medical training programs at this campus. i recently found out january 20, 2012 that i need surgery to remove my gallbladder in an effort to attempt to remain in the program i decided to prolong my surgery to be allowed to remain a student at lincoln tech. this is the third time i have had a medical reason to be absent from school. the first time i was dropped because they told me they no longer did a leave of absence, second time i was dropped because they don't consider medical excuses relavent to my attendence even when it is stated in the note that i was to remain out of school and work. to get back into the program at lincoln tech i was forced to get more medical notes stating extenuating circumstances and then these note had to be further evaluated before i was allowed to resume my courses. this took two months. now this third time i am informed that i can possibly be able to take a leave of absence, but it is not a guarantee, this scares me because if i am dropped again will they allow me to resume my courses or will i have to wait two more months to continue my education? i am annoyed, disappointed, and frustrated with lincoln tech i feel like all they care about is money and getting mumbers to go up in applications, this is the worst college experience and i would never recommend this school to anyone because god forbid they have an illness that requires recovery they will never be able to finish their courses because they will constantly need to prove extenuating circumstances. i agree with the previous statement they don't even deserve one star.
I put one because they didnt have zero. This school is horrible. They fired an instructor and let her go in the next day to give them their final exam. when did they start allowing that? Being a student at Lincoln tech is very hard they want their payments on time but they don't want to help you when you're struggling in class. That's not right! Where's the student advocacy? Wheres the HELP? An instructor actually told my class all they care about is if we pass boards because that's how the school gets it's funding. My question is how are we students going to pass boards if we can't even get help when we're struggling? I need answers!!! They tell you follow the chain of command, you do that and still nothing happens. My hand guide states that if you fail a class once you can retake it for free one time. I questioned someone in the E.D office about and they said oh no that pertains to only medial assistants. but it does not state that in the handbook. Does that mean I can fight that? Well I'm going to find out and if I can that's exactly what I'm going to do. I hope someone from corporate really replies to this because there is a major problem at lincoln tech in moorestown. From files being missing to incompetent instructors. Something needs to be done immediately students education is suffering and so is their bank accounts.crashautoknuckles@yahoo.com
