The company I work for has rcelntey decided to send outstanding balances to an outside collection agency and are currently working on setting up an in house collection department as well. The focus to collect bad debts is definitely priority at the time. It's unfortunate, at a time like this, to take action against the individual patients. Not because they shouldn't pay their bills but because it is going to add pressure to persons who are very likely having rough times in their finances. The collection agency expressed to me rcelntey that business is great! It is clearly becoming a trend.
