worst customer service of any store I have every shopped in. schaumburg, illinois the person there telling me he was the manager and then all of sudden he wasnt. very rude sales people without mine and other customers money they have to job or store.
Having written you on many occasions with problems i have had with sizing - products marked one size and the actually size being totally differnet and your responses never adressing the issue i say good bye from a long time customer. Buyer be were - i would go to any other store
Getting married in April and instead of my soon to be husband wearing a tuxedo we decided to buy a suit. We visited the store in Athens, GA on Alps Road and what AWFUL customer service. Stood around for about 20 minutes waiting on someone to help us and then once we got help it was like he had no clue what was going on. We end up finding a suit. Got measurements and then receive the call that the suit is in the store ready for alterations. Get to the store for alterations and the jacket is not the right size. So then we have to send the suit back and get another one in. While getting the exchange done at the counter the worker asked another worker how to do something for the exchange. Come to find out the person helping us is the STORE MANAGER....and he doesn't even know how to do an exchange. So now we have to wait on another suit to come in and then come back for alterations. I have worked in Customer Service for many years now and I just can't believe how awful this store is. I had heard horror stories about this store but wanted a good suit for a good price and in Athens, GA this is the place to go. NEVER AGAIN.
I had a bad experience to day at the pentagon store. I was supposed to pick up my tree suites that I draped to be alternated. Unfortunately, two of them were ready and the third one was damaged by the store. I was given my two suites and told we will call you to solve the issue. I did not hear we are sorry about what happened or we feel bad. No sympathy at all by an egotistical employee. I was really chocked.
If you are planning a wedding...BEWARE...you have been forwarned!!!DO NOT...REPEAT...DO NOT use this company for ANY wedding needs ESPECIALLY TUXEDOS!!! Very unprofessional...repeated mistakes in taking measurements...missing tuxedos..Lying all the way...would remind you of the sleazy car salesmen. They completely ruined what was to be a beautiful experience...they don't care..they have one track minds...and don't believe anything they say and that is from dealing with a store manager...a clerk....and a district manager. If you want "OVER PRICED" clothing and have the money of a doctor or lawyer...they are you guys!
I am a repeated customer (or was) at Jos A Banks, when I recently purchased several suits in your Manhattan location located on Madison Ave and 46th street. This location was highly recommended by me co workers and I must say that the professionalism as well as the delivery of my suits were sub standard. I arrived to the location three times to pick up my suits and finally when I received them the suits were given to me non-ironed and given to me as though it was given to me for free. I rarely complain when it comes to customer service but your company prides itself on quality as well as customer satisfaction. If you look at my record I believe I spend enough to at least give me or any customer clothing that is not only tailored correctly but pressed without any drama. Unfortunately because of the lack of professionalism as well as competence I had to go to another realtor (MACY*S) and purchase another suit because I was leaving town. It was an unnecessary expense that I had to endure which I believe is not fair. Unfortunately, I am in the business whereby I must be dressed in a suit as well as my colleagues, unfortunately after experiencing this episode I believe I will not be going back nor will I recommend any of my colleagues to do the same. I know I will not make or break the company financially but I just wanted to advise you of how your staff acted when the boss is out. Oh by the way, did I mentioned that I had to drive sixty-one miles to pick up my suits? I reside at 36 Peter Turner Road, Monroe, NY 10950. Anyway, I guess this is as much as I can say. I do wish to let you know your inventory is great and wish you much success in this recession. Thank You Efrain Vazquez 917-731-4456 845-837-1819
Hello. My name is John Williamson and my wife,Tatiana Williamson, was hired about 2 weeks ago as a part time visual specialist at the Athens branch of Jos.A Bank on Alps Road. As I understand it.her first paycheck amount was supposed to be direct deposited into our account on Fri.9-2-11.Tatiana checked online that evening and this money was not deposited. She became very upset and said she will not continue her job with you if she is not paid.I suggested she contact you to see what is going on but,for some reason, she seems unwilling to do so.Therefore,I am doing it instead. I know Jos.ABank is a highly reputable company so I have to believe this whole thing is just some kind of misunderstanding or miscommunication that can be easily resolved. Can you help fix this situation or pass this email along to someone who can?In the meantime, could someone please contact my wife at tbw32@hotmail.com to make her aware that this situation is being dealt with or contact her directly through the local branch of your business?I don't want to see her do something impulsive that she may regret later and I don't want Jos.ABank to lose a good employee but,if worst comes to worst,I would like to think she'll at least get payed for the time she has already worked. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.Respectfully,John Williamson
My son is getting married in a couple of weeks and has had nothing but trouble with his tuxedo order. I was delighted at first to know he had picked Jos A. Bank due to varied locations and past experiences. However, measurements were continually wrong and forgotten. The kids had to keep going back to the original store in Auburn AL who continually messed up. They had one of the groomsman marked as the ring bearer (can you not tell the difference in the size of a 2 year old and a 22 year old) really!!! They lost the grooms order and couldn't remember the style. It has been one thing after another. My son was eventually contacted by the president of the southern division. He offered no discount on the tuxes and said it was policy not to. He did send 1/2 off suit coupons which quite frankly means nothing as you frequently have sales that you can get that anyway, as well as the fact that he has no desire to shop in your store ever again! I am very encouraged now to send emails to friends who shop with you to stop due to poor customer service and the fact you are not standing behind your service. A wedding should not have to be this stressful and I am praying that all of the tuxes are correct. As the President of my local Chamber, I would be embarrassed by any of my businesses who did not put the customer first!
Changed to this clothier from another popular suit facility. We wanted better service in addition to being able to easily set up a corporate account where we may send our employees to get suits. It is now 15 days past the original date I was quoted and my suit is still not done! It has now been 6 weeks since we originally went in and bought and PAID for the suits. In addition to this large disappointment, they called one of us and told us our suit was ready. So he made the 35 minute drive to pick it up and it was not ready. It was my suit pants, which had to be ordered to get flat front, that were in and ready to be measured. So poor communication and very poor service. I have been given several excuses as to why my suit is not done yet. I don't want to hear the excuses, as a customer, i don't care, the job still needs to be done. If I ran our business like that, the doors would be closed in no time.
I purchased two Signature Collection suits and a Signature leather bomber jacket for $795. The jacket is wonderful and the suits very beautiful. I was very happy with the price as the retail would have been $2295. I have gotten many compliments and approving glances from women. However, the suits wrinkle very easily. Considering that I wear them only once a week. I purchased two suits from K&G Men's store on sale for $120 and they don't wrinkle half as much. I expected more from JoS. A.Bank thinking that the suits would be superior material and not wrinkle as easily. I'm extremely disapointed and not sure if I'll return. I was interested in the signature gold suits sale (normally about $1000) for $377, but now I won't get an other suit there, period. As for my shopping experience, it was good. All of the staff were very helpful and professional.
My wife and I were in your Lafayette, Ca. Store on Xmas-Eve ,2010. My wife had purchased a cashmere sweater for me last month. The sweater was too large and we took it back to exchange it for a smaller size. We first approached a young man and he directed us to a lady behind the counter. She was the only female working in the store that day. She told us that we could exchange the sweater for the correct size. We couldn't find the same sweater in the same color in a smaller size. So we saw another cashmere sweater but it was another type that was stain resistant and for travel. Both this cashmere sweater and the one we brought in were now priced the same at $99.00. I tried on this sweater and it fit and was the color that I wanted. When I came out of the dressing room my wife noticed that the lady that we had originally spoke to was busy so she approached the man who had originally sold the first sweater to her. He told her to just take the new sweater and we could just go! So my wife asked him if he wanted the orignial tag from the first sweater and he said no! She then asked if we could have our receipt and he said that we didn't need one! As we started to leave the lady behind the counter said ,"here is your original receipt"! We then told her that the man had already helped us and said that we didn't need one! She then got very curt and stern and said that she had to run the transaction through the register. So we said ok. She then said that we had to pay the difference because my wife had bought this sweater on sale! So my wife said that if she had told us this in the beginning we would have done so with the man who helped us! The 2 people with whom we worked with in the store did not have the same policy in place!!! This woman was very cold and did not smile once from the moment we started to work with her! We will not be back to shop in your store!!!
I was recently visiting family in Canton, Ohio (I live in Virginia). When getting dressed for an important event, I realized I mistakenly packed my white tuxedo shirt..... not a regular white shirt for my suit. I had little time to correct the situation, since I had to leave for the event in about 40 minutes. I quickly went to the local Jos. A. Bank store in Belden Village. The store manager, Ms. Monica Smith, was quick to assist me in finding a shirt; after pressing it for me (very much appreciated),I was on my way back to my hotel in record time (driving the speed limit of course). Ms. Smith went out of her way to provide great customer service. Thanks to her, I was able to make it to the event on time. I think Ms. Smith should be recognized for the fine work she is doing in her store. Thank you for your time. (her store location: 4131 Belden Village Mall Canton, Ohio)
