Reservation, NOT!
Made a reservation well in advance of Christmas '14. After a 40 minute line wait, I my was informed that my reservation wasn't available. I was offered a ham that was twice the price! What good is a reservation if it is not honored?
Dissatisfied
I purchased a half a ham at 11.325 lb in Culver City, /ca. The ham slices were so thick, I had approximately 8 slices. I contacted the location the day before Christmas; however, they were in the process of closing. I will NEVER EVER buy another ham and will definitely never recommend that anyone buy their hams. This is definitely not the ham my mother use to cook.
Charged x2 for one order
Forsyth st Macon Ga. Paid on line for order and then was charged again at store. I've tried to get a refund. Went back to store and no one there knew what to do. Spoke to owner by phone on 11/27. Still no refund.
So unsatisfied!!
I get a ham every year or Christmas and usually they are the most beautiful hams u could ever sink your teeth into. Just received mine today and opened it up to find a horrible surprise! My 3 yr old nephew could make a better ham! I also have pics to prove it. Scared to even try it. Never again will u rob my wallet!
ripped off
I purchased. a small honey baked ham on 11/30/2013 in Springfield, MO To celebrate a belated Thanksgiving with my granddaughter and her fiancé. What a disappointment from honey baked ham!! It was sliced uneven. Some slices were paper thin, some VERY thick. Burnt on top and not much glaze. '''''very, very dry on top inch to tw0 inches. I don't know if I will continue to pay the price for inferior product. I'll go back to baking and glazing my own,
Disappointed
I recently received an email inviting me to enter a drawing for 1 pound of free ham/turkey. A day later I was pleased (I love Honeybaked Ham) when I got a winning notice. I drove over 20 miles (Puyallup,WA) to pick up my prize. I was told they were out of ham for the promotion because "corporate didn't tell us about the promotion." I did get turkey, but that's not why I drove so far. Very disappointing.
pork tenderloin
I came in the store in roseville, michigan 48066 to try the pork tenderloin original roast. They didn't have any ready, the gentleman told me he would thaw and get it ready in an hour. When I returned he said it was a little frozen in middle he gave me microwaving instructions. I wanted to put in oven he looked up directions and said they were having trouble with the cooking time, they had 15 to 20 minutes per pound which meant about 30 to 40 minutes they said it was burning. I put it in for 350 degrees for 22 to 25 minutes it was perfect as a matter of fact it was so good my grandson ate over half the roast his self great ideal. thanks again.
Manager
I seldom write things about businesses unless I can say something positive as well as negative. The store in Dalton Georgia has a very nice, personable store manager. We eat there often and she is always pleasant! Some other lady with just Manager was there today and was very rude not only to the store manager but to us as well! I didn't appreciate her humiliating the store manager in front of us nor talking to us the way she did. The store manager apologized for her attitude, and I told her she was not the one that needed to but instead the other lady should!
We purchased a small ham for Easter Sunday only to find it very disappointing. The ham was so dried out. The crust on top was missing therefore causing the actural ham to be burnt. Although it was a small ham, I was lucky if I was able to get 9 or 10 pieces of ham. Most of the ham was thrown away because it was just too dry to eat. You had to cut along the top of the piece of meat because it was burnt. I have notice that Honey Baked Hams are losing their good name over the past years. This is not the first time I have been disappointed when I purchased a ham. Their turkeys are good, but their hams are pretty darn lousey. The Honey Baked Ham store I purchased it at was on Brookpark in Parma, Ohio
Zanesville, Ohio
I recently bought some Honeybaked ham products from the Zanesville, Ohio store. After arriving home, I found problem with my Purchase. I talk to the Manager, she failed to resolve problem. But a day later, I received a call from the owner of the store. Mr. Mike Allfriman, he answer all my questions and took care of the problem. He also assured me, his Manager would receive training on better Customer service skills. I wasn't going to ever try Honeybaked ham again after my experience with this store. But after talking to the Owner, I'm a happy customer. Things can happen, it's how you resolve them makes a difference. Thank you Mike
I used to work for honey baked ham in cincinnati ohio. I have seen some pretry crazy stuff. They have pulled hams out of the seasonal kiosk an taken them back and reglazed products and resold them. Upper managment is ok with this practice. They have sold out dated and misdated product as well. They also claim to be gluten free and they aren't.There are seasonal people broughr in that are filthy. I wouldn't buy anything they have touched. This is just a few things . They are ok with stores being nasty and nott cleanes.
very poor customer service
I visited the store at 2817 west end ave suite 134 Nashville, tn. My cashier, (Tyrica Koon), was very rude and had an attitude as soon as I entered the store. She made my lunch sandwich wrong and she asked me for a tip. I thought that they wasn't suppose to ask for tips. I had a very bad experience and me, nor my company will be eating there again.
Where's the Honey
We've been buying HBHs for over 29 years in states like IL., Co. Fl. and now Tn.. This last one from the Cookville store may well be the last. There was lack of glaze that we have enjoyed in the past and a dry texture and of course a taste that reminded me of a low cost ham from a local food market. We don't mind a rising cost, but keep the quality. Shame on Cookville.
ON YESTERDAY 12\20\2012 I HAD A COUPON FOR A HAM FOR 5.00 OFF AND I HAD CALL THE DAY BEFORE AND THE YOUNG LADY IN THE STORE TOLD ME TO RESERVE MY HAM AND I DID. SO WHEN I WENT INTO THE STORE ON CONVINGTON HWY IN ATL GA THE MANAGER TOLD ME I CANNOT USE IT CAUSE IT HAVE TO BE THE HAM WITH THE BONE AND I TOLD HIM THAT"S NOT WHAT I WAS TOLD SO HE DENIED ME FOR USEING MY COUPON ON THUR I WAS HIGHLY DISAPPONTED.
speechless
Rec'd gift order today. Gel pack almost thawed out. Cheesecake mush, Ham cool not cold and thawed. Called company and had to wait on phone 44mins. Called packing location phone constantly busy. havenot reached them yet. Called corp. got answering machine. How do you place a perishable order on a Friday and receive it on a Tuesday thawed?
I called and reserved a ham at the Raleigh, N.C. store. I was asked if I had any coupons. When I said I didn't, the store employee told me to go to the website, print out coupons, and bring them with me. I did, but when I got to the register, I was told I could not use those coupons. I won't do business there again.
Went to Wooster, Oh HoneyBaked Ham Store, rtnd home a day later we opened it ... It was only sliced 1/3 of the way sliced thru and the yummy coating was NOT over 1/2 of it. The prices are soo high now...but the quality is going DOWN THE TUBES. This was a Birthday tradition that upset me very much... and NO "contact us" on the HoneyBaked Ham site...guess they know they are in error! I will NOT purchase again.
I tried last year and have called your stores for information. NOT AVAILABLE to mail. I called your corporated office and get a menue and then no one answers and I am asked to leave my name and number. You have terrible service. Please fire the top people and start over.
The marketing department for Honey Baked Ham sucks! What are you doing in there? I have seen your print material... it hurts my eyes. You are horrible at engaging with customers through social media and a baby could provide better customer service. Yeah, you are known as the holiday item... WHAT A NICHE! Here is an idea... improve your print material and push the dine-in experience! You have a great product and you are blowing it!
I ordered a ham for Easter and it did not have a honey taste at all really after spending over 50 bucks not any more
