Lake Jackson Tx store manager Portia is the rudest manager I have seen her make her employees cry she has no respect for anyone. The only reason she still has a job is because she is good with corporate who won't do anything or see her for what she is. Ask any of her employees that she can't keep because of her poor people skills..
I love Hobby Lobby and the one in Louisville, KY is awesome. I recently got married and did everything on my own saving my family a ton of money. Hobby Lobby took anything back for me that I did not need, which was a lot over the past year. I always had reciepts though. They never questioned me and I felt like I was always respected. Many times, cashiers and other employees would ask about my projects and always congratulated me on my upcoming wedding. I guess we are fortunate in Louisville to have an amazing Hobby Lobby!
I bought many things at Hobby Lobby for my daughters wedding. I had been a very regular customer there for many years until today! I will never go back again. Two glass vases that I had bought for the wedding...One had a crack about 3" long and the other one had 2 bubbles that I was afraid were going to crack. I bought them at the very end of Jan. and they had been packed exactly the way "they" packed them and (never been touched or opened)... been sitting in my China cabinet until my daughter came home last week (she lives out of state). I got them to show her and when I unwrapped them...what I listed above is how we found them. Her wedding isn't until fall & I had explained to the Assistant Mgr. what happened and he said (Very Uncaring)we can't do anything because of the time frame! I said I understand...don't expect you to give my money back but can I at least get a store credit and go get something else because these are not going to do me any good. He said NO.....NOTHING (very hateful) & he questioned me that they were broke when I bought them!!!!!!!!! As I said...they had never been unwrapped...still dirty from in the store..etc. As he can see they were never used (they would have definately been cleaned if they were) BUT...they were NOT!!! I still can not figure his logic of not giving a store credit as to I would be re-spending that money in his store and more than likely "more".... But instead......he chose to loose a very good customer instead! As I've always said...."word of mouth is the best form of advertising" and I have a big one! :)
(@Larry)-- I do not work for Hobby Lobby but did you hear that the unemployment rate is rising everywhere? Why can't people go to work and expect to be treated human??? Get over yourself. As for Hobby Lobby WACO TEXAS..... the boss needs to be investigated ASAP. He is harassing employees in every way possible, men and women. This company seems to have a track record of discrimination, harassment, and not protecting their employees from injury. I used to be a customer, but never again.
I was just in HB in Clovis New Mexico where I seriously go in atleast once if not twice a week and have never had any problems that were not fixed right away but today I have chosen to BOYCOT them. I went in only needing to get some fabric paint and to my surprise it was marked at .99cents so I bought four tubes. When I got to the register the old man began peeling back the price tag from my items. when I asked him what he was doing he said, "this one is not marked correctly, it should be $2.99 and not .99 cents". I told him that there are more back there if he would like to see them but he called a manager who in turn laughed and made me feel like I had switched the prices, in front of other customers. I was so embarrased and I told them that I didnt need them and I went to Walmart and purchased them. From now on, I will drive and get all my supplies at Michaels which is two hours away but no more giving my money to this company.
Sounds like there is to many lazy people and a bunch a wine baby's that work for Hobby Lobby. If you do not like you job then find another one.. You ought to be thankful that you have a job.. People grow up and just because you have to work and work for a paycheck does not mean the Hobby Lobby works you like slaves. Hard work does not hurt anyone. I say if you do not want to work then live off the Goverment you bunch of worthless slobs. and in regards to the comment from "Thomas Wallace" Do not blame Hobby Lobby for your wife as being the Hobby Lobby TRAMP. If she does not want to Sleep with all the guys she is old enough not to. Sounds like she enjoys what she is getting and haveing the name: Hobby Lobby Whore"
Hello, Love HB --- question can Hobby Lobby fabric dept order different color of the micro fiber fleece ? Please reply via email: minniemoo1962@live.com
I thought hobby lobby was a nice store to shop for years until I find out all the behind the scenes type of things that go on there. My wife started working for hobby lobby in Fairveiw Heights ,Il. in september last year.Since then my life has been taunted and I havent appreciated the things that have happend.First it was the going out to so-called hobby lobby parties, then it was the sleeping with the assnt. man. Edward keck, then they were trying to pass her around like a piece of meat. The manager Troy had made the remark to Edward," did you bang that one yet",and I think it is very unprofessional. We have went through extremely rough times over the last 6 months because of hobby lobby. Now it seems since she doesnt sleep with the manager Troy , he is trying to write her up and fire her.I sure wish this place would have been such a Christian place like it is made up to look like. The Fairveiw Heights ,Il. store is a joke.I guess the best thing now to do is contact someone for legal action. My wife has been made to believe she would be moved to a full time position for at least 4 months now and since everyone there cant sleep with her she is'nt going anywhere. As far as their work schedule there ,"IT'S A JOKE!",I have never dealt with an employer that sends you on a lunch break after only working for 2 hours of your 8 hour shift.Maybe my feedback will bring about some type of action if not I'm still contacting a lawyer about these problems within.
The Clarksville Tn location needs to be CLOSED. I have noticed all minority customers are followed including myself. Employees would actually follow me and stare. It was so bad at one point that I actually asked was there something on me? I feel violated. It made me physically sick! I will never shop this store again!
I am an artist and a custom picture framer with over 18 years of experience. When I heard there was a new Hobby Lobby Store opening in Green Bay, Wis., I applied for a part-time position in the framing dept. In the interview that was what I was led to believe I was being hired for. However, after 3 weeks of helping to set up this store (wich was incredibly unorganized and confusing) I was stuck behind a cash register. When I asked when I would be going to the framing dept. the manager was very vague, would not look me in the face or give me a straight answer. So I waited a few more days and in the mean time they had 2 people in framing with 0 experience. This made absolutely no sense to me until today when I was let go, wich I now realize was their intention all along. To say the least, I will never shop there, and I will tell everyone I know not to shop there. I also think the majority of their merchandise is cheap and poorly made. More waste that will end up in the landfill.
I love Hobby Lobby. I can find something to buy everytime I am there. When did the stores start opening in IL? Was there ever a store on Dempster in Niles? My friend insists their was. 2 friends that used to live there say it was a Lee Wards that was brought out by Michael's. Need confirmation please. joolz3@juno.com Thanks, Julie
I work for Hobby Lobby and they treat their employees like slaves. They have unrealistic goals and we are never given enough time or help to accomplish what we need to get done. That is why we have such poor customer service. We are constantly badgered to finish deadline after deadline. Plus it doesn't help that many of the customers that come into hobby lobby assume that we are all craft experts. Hello, look online, ask a friend, or find somebody who does know. Just because we work there doesn't mean that we know how all the products work. Never work there!
Glad to be gone from Hobby Lobby. God, Family, then work? Not hardly. I asked to attend my sons football game a week ahead of time which meant leaving two hours early. Which would make a fourteen hour shift only 12. I was denied. So much for family. It came to a head when the District Manager told me his kids don't play sports and he does not live in our state so how should he know about the MN Parental Leave Law. I ended up going to my sons game and do not regret it. My DM tried to write me up for it and I walked out. Best decision I ever made. Hobby Lobby is not entirely a bad place, but there are some people in high places that have zero common sense, primarily Roy the DM in Iowa and Mn and Eddy the VP. What a bunch of Filthy Liars. See you in Court.
where do i began, Hobby lobby does in fact have great looking merchandise at fairly reasonable prices. They're mark downs are the best. However, their customer service is appalling! they actually dont have customer service, as I have onlyshopped at the one in texarkana texas, I can only speak concerning my experience there. I know that this is the whole attitude of there employees rude, rude, rude and at this store they do not greet or appreciate young or old black customers it seems. I have personally watched the store manager ROBERT greet and get buggies for elderly and well dressed-or not, caucasion women who walked in a few steps ahead of me, only to turn and walk away from my direction, without a smile or greet. Its the most disguisting thing you would ever want to happen to you when shopping and buying in a store. I have been followed, talked down to when returning items with a receipt, not to mention countless avoidance by the staff in general. today I had such an awful experience in ther I SWARE on 10 bibles, I will NEVER set foot in that store again. Its a shame for them though because I have spent literally thousands of dollars in that store for the seven years I have shopped there. I will have to give the other crafting stores a chance and Im sure it will be fine. I feel unappreciated and its not dramatic they really do pick and choose who they yeild decency to in THAT store, and I have had enough.
My wife purchased a train from Hobby Lobby for our Grand children for Christmas. We openeed the box to make sure everything wasd in working order.Unfortunely the wheels won't stay on the cars as well as the couplers to hold the cars in line.My wife topopk the train back to the store she purchase the train from and Hobby Lobby wouldn't take the train back or exchange it for a new one.We now have a $ 250.00 train that's a peice of junk! Hobby Lobby has sure stick it to us.Hopefully this message will help prevent this from happening to someone else.HOBBY LOBBY YOU SUREDON'T HAVE ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!!!!!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! PWMAYERJR@YAHOO.COM,
To answer Margaret Couch. This company will not remove the item probably. They are all about the dollar bill now!!!
I was shocked to see Hobby Lobby selling a statue of a young African male carrying an elephant tusk! As if this were something cute or even remotely acceptable! (Irem #554485) I contacted Hobby Lobby via email to complain -- have waited two weeks and still no response. Does Hobby Lobby condone the slaughter of African elephants? I am truly horrified. I hope I will receive a reply and that the offending item will be removed from inventory, but in the meantime, I am comforted to be able to vent. The snooty woman who answered the telephone at Corporate would not give me a direct email address for David Green. I will not start a boycott or a general announcement to animal rights activists until I am convinced Hobby Lobby will not take the appropriate (and very simple) action of removing the item from its inventory. So sad!
This used to be a good Christian company. I have been employed part time for five years with one year out due to sickness. I agree, they should be investigated. I have seen people come there as cashier's and I train them and they get promoted. At store 281 no black person has been allowed to be a CSM in years. If they check my records, I have been their best cashier. Ladies are treated like men being made to lift freight with no back support. Cashiers stand for hours on hard floors with no breaks. One woman employee was demoted because she was told she "shuffles" when she walks! Employees fear for their jobs. This is wrong people. Cut the Christian music off or live up to the standards.
As an artist living in a town with no place to buy supplies I along with every artist in town would love to have a Hobby Lobby come to Baxter County, Arkansas. It's a loooonnnnng trip to Springfield, Mo., every time I need supplies. Consider it PLEASE and thank you.
we were impressed until we got to checkout there were sail items we were buying and when we got to the register they said theywere not sail items. we said if you go to the shelf you will see the sale sign there they refused to go and said are you going to buy the item or not. no and we left
