BAD customer service
The employees seem like they are not trained. They refuse to transfer you to a manager. Very bad customer service.
wrong fax number given.
I had to fax proof to them about how about my finances for the month of August. The fax number given to me in a letter,was not operational. Had to to find another fax number on my own.The system is run by idiots. I hope my information is received.
Worse department to call, all you get is recording and when you heard the recording the system cut you off, never leave a message because they never call you back and if you call Governor Scott office no operator to talk to, don't leave messages they wound call you back, this is the worth system I ever live thru the years living in is State.

SHAME
I HAVE 4 KIDS AND WAS WORKING FULL TIME IN NY I MOVED OUT HERE TO CHANGE THE SCENE FOR MY KIDS AND A CHANGE HAS BEEN MADE FOR THE WORSE I APPLIED FOR FOOD STAMPS AND MEDICADE FOR MY CHILDREN DID EVERYTHING THEY ASKED HAD TO RE-FAX DOCUMENT 4-6 TIMES AND HERE WE ARE IN DEC AND ISTILL DONT HAVE HELP MY KIDS HA NO THANKSGIVING IT REALLY IS HEART BREAKING THE WAY THE SYSTEM IS OUT HERE. THE CASE WORKERS ARE RUDE AND SPEAK TO YOU LIKE YOU ARE BOTHERING THEM. THIS IS THEIR JOB THIS IS OUR LIVES. THE WAY FL HANDLES DCS JUST ISNT RIGHT SMH A CHANGE HAS TO BE MADE FOR THE FAMILIES IN TRUE NEED
I have been trying to get thru for a couple of days know you guys are always busy or all the lines are busy. I have a daughter that has chronic asthma induce by exercise, has acid reflex and know she needs to see an orthodontics. And still she doesnt get approve for medicaid, she has no more stomach medicine. And a son that when he gets sick I have to take him to the ER. This is NOT funny I have 3 young children and only one gets medicaid what happen to my daughter with her conditions you dont consider that. Stop giving people the help they dont need and give it to the people that need it. The callers you have working for you dont care they think everything is a joke. Hire some profesionals. If this system doesnt change some people may have to get lawyers or a profesional that will help them and put DCF name in the news and maybe get big bosses to come check your work, because you guys are doing a VERY,VERY POOR JOB!!!
I have been sitting on the phone for weeks trying to get through. It is a joke my children are not eligable for medicaid but for some reason they think one of the three is??? Now her primary insurance has been canceled because of this. Something needs to be done about the way calls are handeled or I should say not handeled. I have called that number THOUSANDS of times only to be told to call back later... well I have called back later for almost a month!
I have been dealing with Florida Department of Children and families for years now. I have a Daughter that is shared 50-50 The Department showed up at my house because her Father found out that I had cancer ( NOT MY FAULT ) I was told in writing that "NO INDICATORS WAS FOUND" A few days befor my surgery I was surved a withstraining order. I had to go to court the day befor my surgery the Father at this point closed the case against me I have yet to see MY Daughter from Mothers day untill now. After not thinking these people (case workers) didnt think my heart was hurt enough then they show up at my house with a wild story about my step son case being on my father in-law I was told Nothing NO addvice NO reason was just told the case was not on me just involved MY children. I did what every mother would do and let them see just how wonderful of a mother I was and let them speak with my all of my children - My daughter who Im still not allowed to see because of these people and her Father !! Thought I was doing the right thing even after these people (DCF) had messed my life up in so many ways!!! I then get another closing letter that stated NO INDICATORS WAS FOUND !!! Ive had them out at my house 8 diffrent times in all my years of being what I thought was a good mother. I Called DCF local office and asked to speak with the office mangager I was told she was not in. So I started to ask this lady what this was about and why ?? I didnt cuse or threaten or anything to that nature. I was then hung up on for no reason and still today have no answers but if you look it up this case was also under MY name and my children PLEASE ANYONE if you know of what I can do or who I can get this understood PLEASE tell me... Worried Mother Missing her Daughter SO VERY MUCH !!! 6 months now I am open to any ideas or help !!!!
I have applied for food stamps and cash assistance for me and my kids with cash you have to go threw zucan which I did the worker at zucan told me i will have my benefits before the end of this week wronggggggggggggg still no food for my kids and me this system is a joke
DCF is a waste of ppl time what are they getting paid to do sit and talk to there co workers all day this is sad you cant even get thru on the phone whats the purpose of any of this go back to the old way were you walk in an talk to a human being you cant even go to the office and get a real live person to tell you anything I know the state funds it but at the same time some ppl really need it even ppl that work after bills you cant survive on the lil money thats left omgggggggggggg DCF will stress you out for nothing its only paper work ppl or should I say computer workkkkkkkkkkkk
On January I have a heart problem was in the hospital for 15 days since then I haven't be able to work the doctor told me that I can not work any more so i try to apply for any help that i can get this is the worst the CHILDREN AND FAMILIES AND ACCESS ACCOUNTS the worst!!! I apply about 1 1/2 month ago they send a letter saying I was approved for food stamps. On August they send me a letter saying that I was approved for stamps but thats all a letter I try to call the children and families department and there is no way that they answer the phone the automating system keep answering and no one picks up I need to speak to a human being need some answers they send me another letter recently about food stamps but I did not received the card trying so hard to to get this people to answer a phone is very impossible this system needs to improved very soon, there is some people need it out there and we can't even find out where is this office we need answer very soon. we are very disgusted with this system and is sad that that need it people has to put up with this matter when people that just can't so their job are just getting pay for something that are not doing, please fix your system DCF!!!!!!
They have comedians working for the DCF. I send a e-mail to them and they said they are going to review it and if they approved it they will post it is this funny or what.
They tell you to call for a phone interview but you can never speak to a human being. DCF sucks balls.
I understand that its the people that the needs the assistance, but i mean damn...meet us halfway to get the job done. From the moment I received my interview letter, I have been calling the interview line with no luck and no success. Just a damn busy signal. It is ridiculous that tax payers are treated like this. If you cannot provide the assistance, just say so and stop wasting the time of people. I'm very disgusted at this aboniation of a system.
ummm yes I as well got a letter stating to call the interview line. After three days of calling every minute or 100 times a day.... I would only get the busy line! now i finally got a waiting line after calling from a land line...still onhold after 20 minutes!!! blah service sucks.... i need foodstamps asap for myself and my child!!!!
Wow I'm glad I found this forum I am utterly disgusted with the treatment we get from DCF. I have been trying to get a hold of someone on the phone for the past 2 WEEKS and all I get is a busy tone or "we're sorry all our representatives are busy with other costumers please try again later". Uhm helllooo there's families and people who are suffering and in need of help and you can't even answer our emails or phone calls ? This is terrible and its in need of a big change ! ZERO STARS...DCF you suck.
My daughter is going through the same thing. She has a five month old baby and relies on food stamps only although she qualifies for everything else. Her recertification was completed in July. As of today, she is yet to receive her benefit for which she is entitled to. Sadly, when she calls all the numbers, the attitude you are treated with is too bad so sad- keep trying. Really? That's how they treat those who are in true need of assistance? Yet, they are able to bow down to all others without any problems. Way to go system!!!!
I got the help that I needed because I would call the regular DCF number and the customer agents keep hanging up on me how rude. Luckily I called corporate.
