Ok - I just went to Fantastic sams to get only a trim on the back of my very short hair. It was 2:00 in the afternoon, there were two stylists there, one person waiting, and I was told I could come back at 3:00, someone could help me then. Walk-in? Please Also, I go about two to three times a year, and about once a year I might get a halfway decent cut. Most of the time the good people leave pretty quickly. I did have one girl razor cut my hair and pull it so hard I left there in tears and I have a very high pain tolerance. It took her about three times as long as it should have to cut my hair. By the way, she is still there!!!
I needed an inch taken off the bottom of my hair and my eyebrows, moustache and chin waxed. There is a new Fantastic Sam’s salon that has been opened for a year. So, I thought I would try it. I gave my information and waited for service. The stylist took me back to begin my service. She shampooed and conditioned my hair in the same chair the waxing is done. Before she could finish my service another stylist was sent to take over and mine went to find out why. A Harnett County N. C. Sheriffs’ officer had entered through the back door of the saloon and was waiting with the owner. A loud verbal confrontation followed with the officer escorting the stylist off the premises. The replacement stylist could not concentrate on my service for wanting to watch what was going on with the owner, police officer and the first stylist. The waxing was over long because the girl had to redo portions up to three times because of her poor concentration. When it came to the hair cut I had to explain three times that I wanted an inch off the bottom of my hair. After paying for and tipping the second stylist I asked to speak to the owner. When he came to the front of the salon I asked him to step outside. He did. I attempted to explain that I did not care for the rudeness with which I had been treated and was going to explain that the quality of the service received was low. The owner told me in his own rude voice that I need not frequent his saloon again, that I should find satisfactory service somewhere else. This salon is not the only on he owns. He has another salon in Spring Lake, NC. Most service owners would be willing to listen to a complaint and try to remedy it. This man was not interested. Fantastic Sam’s has a guarantee that service should be acceptable. Where was this guarantee when this shop owner had a complaint?
so i took my 19 month old son to fantastic sams in fort Oglethorpe ga for a quick trim since today was a kids cut sale and it would be on my way during running errands. well...it didnt turn out to be such a "fantastic" visit ! yes, my 19 month old son likes to sit in my lap when he gets a haircut and yes he cries everytime. i didint think there was anything unusual about that! apparently the stylist, Melodye, thought it was a good idea to give me a verbal lashing for holding my son still while she cut his hair and that it would be less traumatizing for him to sit in the chair himself. I had to "politely " in a matter fact way tell her that A. i have tried that and it failed miserably and B. he cries every time he gets his hair cut. So as the haircut went on, if she had to pause for a couple of seconds, in order for me to calm my son down she would become impatient and make "huffing" sounds. No one else was in the shop, so it wasnt like she had other customers to wait on. after the haircut was over she refused to dust the hair off me or off of my son, who had a face full of hair! i had to ask for a wet towel so i could wipe hair off his face.... AND.... it had to be another stylist to get me the towel cause she wouldnt budge to give me one. needless to say, just like i told her, we will NOT be back! I have NEVER ran into such rudeness and WILL never set foot into a Fantastic Sams again! if a salon is going to run a "KIDS CUT" special, you would think the stylist would be more "kid friendly".
Prescott Valley Az fantastic Sams is far from being fantastic. The hair cutter which should go back to beauty school cut my daughter hair so uneven. I asked if I could come back and they said they were closing in 20 min and I needed to be there before 5. I told her I live 15 min away and if I got there right at 5 will they still do it. She said no we go home at 5. I get that but my 8 year old looks like her 5 year old sister just cut her hair and it looks horrible. She says I understand but u will just have to wait. Are you kidding me? You totally chopped my daughter hair to s*** and u can't wait less then 5 min to fix it? Horrible customer service and all those women should go back to beauty school and learn what customer services is!!!!
My family member told me about his treatment in the salon in Clawson, Michigan earlier this week. He was told that as an American he was "fat and lazy". Several stylists (apparently of Russian decent) went on to say many derogatory statments about Americans in general, our demeanor, our culture and our morals. I was absolutely appalled that this was allowed to go on in the presence of the owner (who was actually cutting my brother's hair, I believe). It ended with one stylist putting her finger in my brother's face, saying "this country is finished!". As the wife of an Army vetran I am deeply offended. My husband, as well as many other members of my family fought for the freedoms afforded by the US Constitution from the American Revolution right up to today. I will never go to Fantastic Sams again in my life. Apparently the women at the Clawson, Michigan location don't like, need or want American patrons or their money. I only have one thing left to say "Go to Supercuts!"
The worst service ever in a hair salon they tried to tell me I had to sign something stating that I like my hair color under poor salon lighting before I left and never brought that up when I walked in to get high lights and low lights... The hair stylist next to the woman that did my hair claimed I had to sign something before I left and I said no she then started talking bad about me to the man in her chair and told me to get out and I was a scam after I spent 150.00 dollars on my hair and bought product. I asked for the owners name and they refused to give it to me. The locations I was harassed at was in St. Petersburg FL. 8832 4th street north. I would not recommended them to anyone and will be filling a law suit for harassment.
Recently I was a guest at one the stores in St Louis and there absolutely no professionalism what so ever. Upon entering the store I was asked what I needed. No greeting what so ever. The stylist that worked on me should of stayed home that day because she was just out right rude. There was NO sanitation in the shop. Hair all over the floor, sanex not being used, combs and brushes laying out, disinfectant jars for quats was dirty and filled with combs.
OK so have had issue with this store b4 but was forgiving.... now just can't keep my mouth shut. Lincoln, CA store can't keep employees and if you -- go in for a cut -- they don't even have enough business like behavior to say "I can't do it". Employee gets into cut -- I showed a picture to her -- and can't do it! She asks another employee to help -- she refuses. You know some would say "then go to a salon rather than FS". Well -- aren't they suppose to be able to provide a service asked for and if not don't advertise as if your educated enough to do so or offer services you can't provide. Just say all you can do is a trim on an already styled cut -- no you have to act as if your capable of handling it. The only people happy are those that don't go -- and if you think you pay for what you get -- my old salon charged less for color, highlights etc. than they do. Oh well maybe its for all the legal fees that come their way for false advertisement!
I have had by far THE WORST experiance at the Fantastic Sams in Milliani in oahu! I went in to get a perm and my hair was completly ruined, it was horrible :( it took many weeks and hours to finally get my hair "restored" to its orginal state. It will NEVER be "restored" my hair is fried beyond belief! & the worst part is when the OWNER of the salon attempted to fix my hair he straight permed it & did such a half as$ job parts are still CURLY and its FRIZZY..and when he saud ge needed to trim off the ends because it was so badly damaged it was a complete BUTCHER job! And after all this the owner refuses to refund me my money! I cant believe how unprofessional this man is an he is still ignoreing my calls & refuses to make right by this. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO FANTASTIC SAMS and I will be sure.to let my entire family and friends and anyone I meet know about my experiance about this salon!! He has completly fried my hair & he has ignored my calls for week now. Its ONLY THE RIGHT THING TO DO, if a customer pays for a service & does not receive it then you need to give them their money back ESPESHALLY IF ITS A COUPLE HUNDRED that where dealing with!
I currently working at one of Fantastic Sams and it's sad to hear so many bad stories and images from our guests in general. Please, all my fellows, put some pride and dignity in what you have passions for and make us look like we're great stylist, I know we can do it , just put your best forward and the shine will follow.
I have been growing my hair out for well over a year and a half. I called ahead to see about a locks of love donation. Fantastic sams assured me that they accepted donations and even offered a free basic cut. The length required is 10 inches. I measured my hair from several places and the shortest place was a little over 10 inches. The longest is almost 15. So after going there I was told by the manager that my hair was not long enough. She didn't even take the 20 seconds to measure it. There were 3 employees there and zero customers present. I guess I can see why. While trying to donate for a good cause, the manager prevented it by a complete lack of work ethics. No company, especially one as large as sams, should encourage lazy employees especially when a long time customer is willing to give so much for nothing in return. SHAME ON YOU FANTASTIC SAM'S.
Since when is it okay to have mircophones at Fantastic Sam's locations (Sun Valley, CA). I was sitting in the chair and looked up to see a microphone protuding from the ceiling tile, recording every bit of my conversation with my hair stylist. Video for security I understand....But you don't get to record my private conversations. Hopefully, someone monitors this site and will do the right thing - Oh, a couple more things: you can't give someone $10.00 an hour then months later tell them Oh, we decided to knock you back down to $8.00 an hour. Nor can you request that they start their shift a half hour earlier and when they get their, you tell them not to clock in, as you are going to have a meeting without pay.... I will go back to see my hair stylist in six weeks and I hope for the sake of Fantastic Sam's these items have been addressed....Law suit is written all over this location....
I have been going to the Fantastic Sams on Cumming Hwy in Canton, Ga since the location opened. I have at this point in time decided to try somewhere else and this is the reason why. It seems that I will find a stylist at the location that I like, go to for her for several visits then call only to find out she has been moved to another location.. this is the 4th time this has happened and frankly I am just tired of it. I don't know if this is a training type facility or if it is just that once they find they have a good sytlist they move them to a location that is not doing as well. Not certain the reason but it makes it difficult to be a loyal customer and thus, I no longer will be.
to whom it may concern,i have been a hairdresser for 20years now and used to work for fantastic sams. i really enjoyed my 3years there working well with other staff members then was unexpectilly layed off about 5months ago i inquired about seeing if i could get back there again? i was bringing in alot of money for the company.so there was a interview set up with the so called michelle did the interview with her (looked like a for shure thing)she told me she would get back to me within the following week.(4months ago) and havent heard from her yet. i left numerious messages on her fone (no call backs)i think that is very poor buisness on her part. for the position she upholds.i would and really am a eager person and more then able to work now in this time of need. please someone get back to me a,s.p thank you for your time sincerly george
Where's the 0 or -0? The Fntastic Sams in Woodstock GA, has a real winner managing the salon. So sorry, but when a potential client comes into the salon, please tell me that Fantastic Sam's Corporate doesn't train their employees to insult people. Wow! My daughter, needed a hair cut and got sarcasim and the full body scan from the "manager" of the salon. To describe this person, so you know who I am talking about, he's blond, over tanned and 40ish. He was rude and hurtful and I cannot believe that she hasn't written something to your company. Not all people are as perfect as his blonde,tanned person...to be polite. Don't hurt my daughter, because you hurt me. Why she would consider going to Fantastic Sam's in desperation is where she went wrong. Had to get this off of my chest.
To whom it may concern, I would like to submit a concern letter to Fantastic Sams Corporate. I reside in San Diego, CA and have been a regular customer at Fantastic Sams located in Mission Valley. I was very satisfied with a stylist named Tina Dang and she has cut and styled my hair for the last 3 years. A month ago I went in the usual day that Tina worked, but sadly I learned that she no longer worked there. I learned that she was forced to leave Fantastic Sams by the new manager, Gyna Cerda. Of course, I don't know exactly why Tina was asked to leave, but I can assure you it was not because of her skills nor her customer service. Tina has always exceeded my expectation when it came to her ability to cut and style hair. Moreover, she was very customer-oriented, consistently accommodating and respectful to her customers. I can attest on her behalf that every time I went to see Tina, I had to sometimes wait because several repeater customers (both men and women) requested for her. There were other stylists, but many of us opted to wait until Tina was available. I did give Gyna a chance and let her cut my hair, but though the cut was okay, I would not go back to her. (This was even before I learned what she did to Tina.) To me, it sounds like she was wrongfully terminated and this is legally and ethically WRONG and UNFAIR especially if the reason was jealousy. Tina had built up a wide customer base and she was frequently being requested for. When I found out what salon Tina went to, I immediately called and set up an appointment to see her. Even though this salon is located 20 more minutes farther than Fantastic Sams, I'd sacrifice the convenience because I prefer to have Tina cut and style my hair. In conclusion, Fantastic Sams lost an excellent stylist and talent. I'm sure Tina's customers will follow her to her new salon. I hope that you may look into and follow up regarding this matter. I went to the Fantastic Sams (74th & Quivira) in Shawnee Ks. to get my hair colored & cut as a special was going on for these services. I did take a picture with me so the stylist would know "exactly" what I wanted and how I style my hair. As the cosomtologist started to prepare my hair color, the manager, Joy had to inform her that working with brown hair that she couldn't use the #2 color or my hair would turn out BLACK!!! With my picture in hand, I told Carrie that my hair shrinks very bad and she would have to be careful with cutting it and also told her not to touch my bangs...just to take some off the back and trim it up a little. So, she gets the color on and is telling me her life story about being a bartender too, that she quit smoking in December and went into depression, how she was drinking wine with her roommate the night before and couldn't sleep, how tired she was and couldn't think straight! Then she tells me that she shouldv'e drank more wine and might have got to sleep all night!! Now after the hair color has processed, she rinse's my hair out and is so rough with her nails that I'm cringing and she finally asks if I like it hard? She says some like it hard, medium, light. We go back to her station to get the cut started and I ask her if she needs to look at the picture I brought and she says Yes, She couldn't remember what it looked like. She puts the picture up on her station and is trying to do another customer while doing my services. Grabs some more coffee from planet sub next door and starts cutting! OMG...this gal was cutting away and does the back first. I run my fingers through it and it feels ok and she proceeded to do the sides and top. When she gets to the crown of my head I thought she was taking alot off but she of course she's talking and moving real fast!!! All of a sudden my hair is looking totally jacked up! She tries to tell me its callics, and I'm like NO it isn't! Then asks me if I want more off the top!! My bangs are gone and I told her NOT to touch them!! The manager I guess thats what she is, Joy comes over to look and tells Carrie that she cut waaaaaay too much off the top! At this point I'm ready to cry, my hair looks awful like a 5 year old cut it. My stylist is telling me that she's sorry, What can she do to fix it? I'm like, what are you going to do? You chopped it all off, glue it back on??? Now Joy thinks if she re-washes it and tries to style it, it might look better. I told her manager that I had informed Carrie what I wanted done in the beginning and she did just the oppossit! I also told her I would pay for whatever and left out of there with Joy telling me that I only had to pay half the amount for services since it was jacked up. On the way home I'm bawling my eyes out, look like a complete dork, shaking and sooooo upset that my blood pressure goes up! My husband calls the shop and talks to Joy twice and asks for corporate office infomation. Joy offers to baby step the re-growth and is suppose to mail back what they charged me along with the picture Carrie didn't give me back. Also now they are saying I got a Jamie Lee Curtis cut! Did I go in there with a Jamie Lee Cutis pic and ask for that cut? NO!!!! My hair is totally screwed up and I have to wear a hat to cover up their mess. I wish I could attach a pic so you could see it! I have a consultation today for hair extentions and wigs. I will never go back to this shop and will probably always have a panic attack when it does come to trimmings. When I asked if this Carrie just got out of school, Joy told me she has been out for 5 years, but then my husband talked to someone that told him that she just got out of school. It feels like now that the salon is trying to cover up their bad employee and saying that I had emotional issues etc. I think they should have to check out their employees credentials and make up for the expences I'm going to be out for such a messed up job!!! The crown area of my head is only a 1 inch long!!!! My bangs are maybe 2 inches long!!! What a horrible day and many more to come while I'm letting it grow out.
The Thibodaux,Louisiana salonhad awesome customer service. I was welcomed in, making Me feel great! My stylist Lauren was extremely polite and gave me a great hair cut, style and even arched my eyebrows perfectly! I was very pleased and I will definitely will be back!
How do I contact fantastic dams headquarters? There is a FS here in my town that the owner had two open. She had the first one shut down for none payment of rent . Now at this second one she bounces all employees checks every single payday, she hasn't ordered color or shampoo for three months and when one employee so far did their taxes. There was never federal withholdings taken out. She is a horrible , horrible salon owner and boss. Several people have reported her to better business bureau as well as state boards. Nothing has been done. How can she get away with bouncing all employees checks?? Every payday? Please if you have somewhere to report her, let me know. Thank you!!
