commerce bank sucks - after being an account holder for over 10 years - i have seen branches try to steal money from my account in the form of service fees - i have had the bank tell me they will not dispute fraudulent charges on my account - and have basically gotten the a general feeling of "we just dont give a shit about you the customer - so take a hike". it takes calling the headquarters in St Louis before you finally get someone to actually do their job. crappy bank - crappy service.

I have been dealing with Commerce Bank in Kansas City for at least 10 years and have always found them to be friendly, helpful and professional. Anytime I have an issue, even if my fault, they are always willing to develop solutions. Some times it costs me a service fee, but it is always fair and reasonable. I find it easy to develop relationships with Branch Managers and Tellers. They remember my name every time I conduct business with them, even though I do business at 3 or 4 locations, they even remember that I'm usually in need of a deposit slip and provide it before I ask, cause they know I usually ask.
