Unprofessional manager

I believe she is the manager at this st.clair shores,mi location. She is older, has a short bob. I understand there was a customer wanting to return or exchange a weed killer that he claims did not work. I understand if your policy is that it cannot be returned but she was yelling so loud, acting so unprofessionally, yelling that she is going to call the cops. She was making us all alarmed.we were in the way back of the store. i was watching the whole thing and the ruckus she made was uncalled for. She is not a pleasant employee to begin with, and unhappy with her job. I also overheard she wished it was her last day . That's why I go to Home Depot .

Ace Hardware treats their pregnant employees poorly. Complaining when they take too many bathroom breaks. Won't allow them to take a5min sit down break outside of lunch and even complains about then using a stool when on register duty. All this & still expecting them to do the same amount of work they use to do before pregnancy.

WOW you are very talented! I would love for you to take pix of kids smiotmee! I have 1 yr old twins and a 3 yr old who are very cute i think you could make some GORGEOUS pictures of them!I posted my email address so please message me and let me know how much you charge for a shoot. Brit highly recommends you and I see why!

I am Very dissatisfied with Ace. I purchased a lawn mower, and it was a lemon, went to get my money back and they refused. they replaced the spark plug twice. well I purchased a lawn mower so it would run with no worries. So now I am 350 down and stuck with a lemon. I am not happy at all. I am a single mom with a limited income as it is, I went out on a limb to purchase this lawn mower as it was. and now im stuck and cant afford to buy a new one.

I see a lot of comments but I wonder if anyone reads them, 31 & if anything gets resolved by making a comment. If none of this is so, then why bother.. I have an issue with Cooks Hardware in Gorham, Maine.. so what do you do about it???????????????? They mess up and they try to blame you.. This is the 2nd time.

I visited the Medford Oregon store on Sunday 19 June 2011 and was treated rudely by the manager. I understand that customer service is not important aspect of your company's agenda but with Home Depot and Lowes less than a mile from your location I will encourage everyone I know to stay away from Ace Hardware.

I would not mind shopping at Ace if only you would sell AMERICAN made products. I know you will tell people it just a buisness, but what about saving the AMERICAN economy instead of China's or Tiawan's and any other foreign country you buy from. Are you not AMERICANS? If I don't find AMERICAN made in your stores, I walk out without a purchase. I am telling everone I see to buy AMERICAN. I have noticed that other stores like Walmart, Kmart and others that about 99% of the items are made in CHINA even rope. SAD SAD SAD. No pride left in AMERICA. BUY AMERICAN, NOT FOREIGN. ron.niebergall@yahoo.com

I have shopped at Ace Hardware for many years and love to support my locally owned hardware stores. One ongoing issue interferes with my motivation to shop at Ace. I just received my Ace Memorial Day Event flyer and inside, as usual, are specially priced items that require a mail in rebate to get the low price. Rather than having to mess aroud with receipts, bar code labels and a long wait for my $3 or $4 rebate, (which may never come) I would prefer that Ace simply offer everyday low prices and the occasional sales price at the cash register. Since Ace does not do this, I am inclined to go to Home Depot or Lowes which usually offer sales prices without the extra hassle of mail in rebates.

hello i would like to buy from my local ( ACE ) . but a lot of stuf is 1 1/2 times more the the big home inprovement. i went to buy a pipe bender. it cost around $36.00 . it broke the first time i used it, i took it back .they said sorry we wont take that back. so i went to the bigger hardware store and they had the same brand for around $14.00. so i bought a new one. then returned the broken one back to big hardware. now i have 2 good pipe benders the total cost is 50.00 so i gave a friend a pipe bender as gift. so now i check the bigger stores first. because 1400 times 3 = 4200 i could have had 3 benders for the price i ended up spending

I enjoy shopping at our local ACE hardware store. Good selection and the rewards program gives a little back to the loyal customer. Keep up the good work!

My wife Maureen Barret is a moon bat. Barbara Evans got fired for stealing merchandise. Hey Maureen, please use spell check in the future. TYVM!

I am reporting on the Ace store in Green River, WY. My daughter, Barbara Evans, was fired from her job there because of her service in the Wyoming Army National Guard. The claim for her termination was that the supervisor, named Mary, was not able to change her schedule without prior notice. The thing is, my daughter has to follow orders when she gets them. I am sure that this supervisor and the store manager will give another excuse for this termination to cover themselves. That's typical behaivior. It's a sad set of circumstances when a local business cannot support the military. What if we were at war? Would all those that serve in the military and work for Ace Hardware have to worry about losing their jobs just for following orders? What, if anything, is going to be done about this? In all honesty, I sincerely doubt anything will be done. It would surprise me greatly.

We are often more ready to take time to register a complaint and seldom do we take time to express appreciation for exceptional service. My wife and I were pulling our 30' travel trailer along the interstate highway near Manteno, IL, when we felt the trailer jerking as though the breaks were coming on and off. We took the first exit and pulled into the first shopping center lot I could find. We found the main cable conecting the truck to the trailer had been dragging and the wires that control the electric breaks had been worn almost through. I didn't know what to do next and was about to search for someone that could direct me to a auto parts store or a hardware when Mr. Michael Cripe of Whitmore ACE Hardware drove into the lot in his truck with the ACE Hardware sign on the door. I was sure glad to see him. I aked where the store was located and he asked what my problem was. I showed him the remains of the electric cable and he agreed we needed help. He directed me to their store and told me to ask for John. When I arrived at the store I asked for John as instructed and was overwhelmed by the service he and Terry provided. They leterally proceede to re-connect all the wires while I watched in humble appreciation! They both refused any monitary compensation and asked only that I pay for the connectors used in making the repair. I learned that the fine young man that was driving the truck and gave me the directions to the store was actually the owner. He had called ahead to alert John that I was on the way. I live in Houston, TX and we believe Texans are friendly and hospitable. However, I have never received the friendly help and cooperation that the folks at Whitmore Ace Hardware showed my wife and I on that occassion! I hope someone will direct this e-mail to their attention at Whitmore Ace Hardware as they deserve recognition for their exceptional service! Sincerely R. Uren

TODAY SUNDAY NOVEMBER THE 28TH, I PURCHASED A IN GROUND CAN- 4 PIECE COMPLETE SET. THE PRICE WAS $119.99. I USED A COUPON FOR $10.00 OFF YOUR PURCHASE OF $50.00 0R MORE OF REGULAR PRICED MERCHANDISE. IT WAS GOOD FOR SUNDAY NOVEMBER 28TH ONLY. THE COUPON STATED VALID FOR ONE TRANSACTION ONLY. NOT VALID ON SALE OR CLEARANCE MERCHANDISE, ONLINE PURCHASES, RETAIL IN STORE SERVICES.ETC. YOU KNOW WHAT THE REST OF THE COUPON SAYS. THEY REFUSED TO HONOR THE COUPON FOR THE $10.00 OFF. I THINK THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING. THERE WAS A SIGN IN THE STORE STATING THE PRICE WITH NO SALE ON IT OF THE ITEM I PURCHASED. I AWAIT YOUR ANSWER. I LIVE IN SUN CITY ARIZONA AND FREQUENT THIS STORE IN YOUNGSTOWN OFTEN, BUT FROM NOW ON I WILL BE BUYING THINGS I NEED FROM DIFFERENT HARDWARE STORES. AND I WILL NOT RECOMEND YOUR STORE TO ANYONE IN SUN CITY. YOU CAN REACH ME AT ARTANDDEE@USFAMILY.NET

Ace Hardware doesn't provide paid bereavement days if you lose a loved one!!!!

Concerning the Portage, In. #9148 dealership... It's getting to the point (for me) that I don't even look at the sales paper items anymore. Each time I would like to purchase items I could use, this store never has them. I am told they "have to get 30 of each item" and so, don't. Why is their name included in the sale paper if they don't stock the items on sale??

Visiting the Old Town Ace Hardware on S. Washington Street, managed by Rich Heilman, consistently far exceeds my highest expectations. Needing copies of 3 unusual keys, I was assisted by "D.C" (whose real name is Donald). "D.C." happily assured me he could accomplish the task, and indicated he had experience as a locksmith. He saved me the anguish of driving to a distant locksmith in rush hour traffic. And yes, the keys worked perfectly. One stop shopping at Ace! D.C.'s cheerful demeanor and the warm welcome extended by all employees, makes every shopping trip an incredibly positive experience.Hats off to the manager and to Ace Hardware for employees who even exceed Nordstrom's Department Store for helpfulness. I will remain a loyal customer.

The mystery shopper might be a good idea to you, but look at it from my veiw point. If I'm treated bad why would I be nice to the person abusing me? If they can judge me let me face them and tell them why they are wrong.

Poor for your ace reward web site. IT has been tereble from day one and with all my complaints 9And I am sure others have the same problem) nothing has been done. All I hear is excuses and passing the buck but I should not have to spend hours trying to correct ypur web problems/ I am only comparing ypur site with other rebate sites and you do not even come close to next to last you win big time. The simple problems you can fix 1 when you clivk on the go to rewards have it go there and not have to wait until it loads and brings you back to the same place two to 5 times before you see the message ( are you having rroblems logging on, click hear) again do not tell me excuses fix it like all the other sites. I have got over 6 post cards telling me that my rebate is rejected because of??? . 2 I take my time filling out the form to make sure I do not have mistakes and then when I think I have it done I click to the next page and see a message that I have taken to long and have been disconnected. That of course brings me back to problem! Paul Cass pbcass@gmail.com
