Unhappy Customer

After five years of loyalty to AAA and being a loyal paying customer with multiple polocies i would say that I am ver [UNHAPPY] with the service that I got recently

Defective AAA Batteries

Dealing with the Damage Department of AAA has been and experience to send you to the hospital. They are very negligent in their dealing with customers and being truthful about the damage the AAA batteries can cause in cars. My experience will require legal authority to handle this corporation.

POOR QUALITY STAFF

I have been a member of AAA Auto Club South for six years ans although my experiences with breakdown service has been good their administration is appalling. I am still trying to get them to print my name correctly on my membership card and talking to the people who answer the telephone is frustrating to say the least. Perhaps they are not skilled in English or perhaps just badly trained but each time they say they understand the problem and will rectify it they fail. One would have thought that as the first rule of business is to get the client's name right they could at least accomplish this elementary task but so far they have got it wrong six years running.

Ok by me.

I'm really surprised to see all of the complaints here. Granted, I haven't called AAA for help that often, but when I have, the road service has always been good. Other folks I talk to have said the same.

Service-Waiting Still -3 wks

They installed a battery that I did not need. I reported & called them right away. They said they'd get back to me ASAP which was 3 wks. ago. Haven't heard from anybody. Complaint #8757. Called 7 times left msgs. & I have yet to talk to Florence Cordeiro in Sarasota, FL.

Home Depot Gift card

AAA would not honor the Home Depot gift card for the insurance quote and the Chula Vista office was totally not supportive

SERVICE

I have been a member for many years when you call your on hold for every and then your switched over and are on hold again. There coverage may been good but there service is horrible. I am looking to switch.

aaa insured driver hit my car causing damage to my driver mirror and drivers door

i have been a triple a member roadside service since 1999 and on feb 4 2013 i was parked in a legal spot all of a sudden a car came barreling in and hit my mirror causing the paint to come off also scratched my drivers door, i have called them twice since then and i believe they are trying to blow me off. no one is calling me back well if they blow me off next yr they have lost my business i will NOT renew my membership and i will go with another roadside service. i will give them a little more time to take care of this situation otherwise i am done with them.

My son had a dead battery, purchased one from a Walmart without a service center. He was stranded away from home so I told him to call AAA. They came out only to tell him they could not assist him in putting the battery he just puchased into his truck. I am sorry, but the only reason I have AAA is for reasons like this. I am very dissaponted.

I don't know how it is in your particular mkreat but the economy is worrying everyone here. It's getting harder and harder to get an audience to pitch SEO ideas to business owners.

My 1997 Cadillac would not start without a boost. I had the battery checked by O'Reilly's Auto Parts (it was bought there) and they tested the battery and the alternator and said both were fine. A few days later the car would not start and I called AAA of which I have been a member for years. The AAA man checked the battery and the alternator and said they were fine. He gave me a boost and I drove to the AAA Car Care Center on Tanner Rd in Greenville SC. They kept the car for a whole day and called to tell me I needed a new battery and alternator to the tune of 788.00 and some change. This sounded strange to me as I had just had them both tested twice. I told them no I would come and get the car the next day. I drove the car to an alternator/battery specialist in Mauldin who tested the car and charged me 25.00 to fix it. The battery cables were loose and corroded. This car has been running like a top for over 2 weeks since they cleaned the cables and tightened them. I forgot to mention that AAA charged me 85.00 for their wrong diagnosis. The alternator man charged me nothing except labor to fix the car correctly. I am a senior citizen and I felt that the Tanner Rd people figured I didn't know anything about cars. I have owned two classic muscle cars that were in car shows, one being a first place winner. I really feel that either AAA on Tanner Rd doesn't know how to test a car correctly or that they were trying to pull a fast one. I feel I should get my 85.00 back also.

I have always had great service with AAA. Everyone has always been friendly and more then willing to help. This week was a really bad week for me. My ID was lost and locked myself out of the house. When i sighned up for AAA membership it was online. They only let me put in my mailing address. So they told me that because it wasnt my physical address they would not let me in. Leaving my son and i stranded outside in the heat. I became extremly upset and said i might as well cancel the membership. The (so she said) supervisor lorena(yankee34) starting asking me if i would like to cancel tonight. So in my head i said i will show her and asked for a manager. So she said she was a supervisor and I told her i wanted a manager. Lorena was very rude talking over me and making snyde little remarks. Like the manager is going to say same thing. The manager was like the rest of the great service i was used to and went ahead and helped me out. The lock smith said it would only take a half hour to get here and because of Lorena(yankee34) it took them longer. She kept resting the time he came out and i know because they texted when they sent him out.

i had AAA north for over 15 years and they were amazing. once i moved to florida they kept making it difficult for me to get services bec they were AAA south. so i switched. i have been with them about 9 years. 1)my battery went in my SUV after work - 3 hours later i had to take a taxi home because they sent a truck that couldn't give me jump - i called again and they sent another one that couldn't give me jump. i didn't want to be towed. 2)a hose blew and it took them over 3 hours to arrive - it was a wednesday around 11a.m. in sunny weather. 3)i locked myself out of my honda and a guy arrived after an hour with a hanger with a piece of masking tape on it. after another hour, since he was unable to open the door, he told me that AAA can't open honda doors. i had to take a taxi home. 4)i requested a triptik to connecticut and they gave me the worst directions plus it took them several days to do it. when i was in connecticut, i stopped into the westport office where in 5 minutes, they printed a perfect triptik which saved me about 2 hours off the trip. when i showed them what AAA south had provided they were shocked. they said it was common knowledge according to their computers, not to use that route. 5) i planned a disney trip but apparently the person quit and noone followed up on the trip. fortunately, i had started well in advance and wound up having to plan the trip myself. i'm not really sure what i'm paying them for ..........

The Montebello Office has worst customer service, do they know what's going on. I called to make appointment for DMV, the receptionist said to call back because they were

I have been AAA club member for fifteen years, for the most part I have received good service from the club when I needed them. The only complain I have was last week I went up to the window of one of their reps and asked her to make 4 copies of one page document for me. She refused in a not so nice way and send me to Kinkos instead. I could not believe her refusing my request since my family and I had never been refused for copies. Same day and time I went to another rep's window to notarize my documents, she made the copies no questions asked and notarized my documents for free since I am a premier member. She offered and assisted me on other issues I had not thought about. She went far and beyond what I spected. So it is not always the company but their employees who represent it. I believe in writing letters for extra good or bad service. I am sending two letters to the CEO of the company, one for the great employee and another for the nasty one. They should both get what they rightfully deserve. I encourage you to write letters to the the top officials of the company when you have exsosted your options.

Please don't take your car to AAA shop for anything.....

IN DECEMBER OF 2011, TRIPLE A RESPONDED; A NEW BATTERY WAS PUT IN MY SUV. APRIL 2012, HAD TO HAVE SUV TOWED; LATER FOUND OUT THAT A WRONG BATTERY WAS PUT IN MY SUV....I AM RIDING AROUND WITH A BATTERY NOT COMPATIBLE TO THE SIXE OF MY SUV. IT COST ME $$$$$ TO HAVE THIS ANALYZED....I FEEL TRIPLE A IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS FEE SINCE THEIR TECH PUT IN A BATTERY NOT SUITABLE TO THE SIZE OF MY SUV.....NOT TELLING ME......AND I HAD TO FIND OUT THIS WAY....MONTHS LATER........BEING TOWED TO MY HOME AND LATER TO A REPAIR SHOP.... NEVER HEARD A WORD FROM THE EXEC. OFFICES EITHER PAST LETTERS WRITTEN TO THEM. NO COURTESY OF A REPLY. SOME WOMAN PHONED ME....HAVE NO IDEA WHO SHE WAS...NOT ACCEPTABLE TO ME....I EXPECT TO BE REIMBURSED THE MONEY IT COST ME FOR THE ANALYTIC EVALUATION AS TO WHY MY SUV WOULD NOT START.....AAA IS FORTUNATE THAT MY VEHICLE DID NOT CATCH FIRE OR SOMETHING FAR WORSE......WHAT A LAWSUIT!!!!! PERHAPS I SHOULD CONTACT AN ATTORNEY AND SEE WHAT COULD BE DONE..... I HAVE USED TRIPLE A IN THE PAST WHEN THE OCCASION ROSE...WITH NO PROBLEMS.....RECENTLY, ON MY TOW RIDE HOME FROM MY SUV NOT STARTING.... A STEVE WAS JUST GREAT ON THE RIDE HOME IN THE CAB...AND MY SUV ON THE FLATBED. THEN THE FELLOW WHO CAME TO MY HOME TO HAVE MY SUV TOWED TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP WHO FOUND THE ERROR IMMEDIATELY....WAS ALSO VERY NICE FELLOW. I FIND THAT THE EXECUTIVE OFFICES...AND I BELIEVE I WROTE TO 3 DIFFERENT ADDRESSES WITH THE COURTESY OF NO RESPONSE TO DATE. GUESS THE BIG WIGS HAVE NOT GOT TIME TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS SERIOUS ERROR OR DON T GIVE A DAMN. AFTER ALL, THEY HAVE THEIR BIG SALARIES TO THINK ABOUT.....THEY FORGET HOW THEY EARN THIS MONEY.

This occurred last December, but I have been hesitant to post a complaint because I cannot prove this. I went in to the store in Toco Hills in Atlanta, GA to get the special which was a tire rotation/alighnment with oil change for $19.95. $270 later I had that done as well as a few other things that they fixed. Fine. Next day my car starts smoking under the hood. I call and take it back to them. They say I need a new radiator. How all of a sudden I don't know. Another $500 later I feel something occurred there that caused all these extra charges. Two days later it rained and my car was flooded and I didn't know why, I looked under the hood in the little well by the windshield and there was a box cutter in there and my rubber gasket around the windshield was cut in half and taken out. Now like I said I can't prove this happened and that they sabotoged my car, but someone there is doing it I feel in my gut. I have to take it in to them again this weekend for a catalytic converter problem that has plagued me for three years. (not their fault). I am taking it in because they quoted me a good price and a better converter. Wish me luck.

I would like to commend your travel agent, Jessica Chiarto, who assisted me in my trip to Europe at the Westshore Office of AAA. I went to Jessica, completely befuddled and frustrated, as I had always planned my trips to Europe previously, but now needed HELP! I told Jessica where my husband and I wanted to travel: Rome, Pompeii, Naples, Lake Como, Venice, Salzburg, Austria, as well as relatives in Bamberg, Germany and Dortmund, Germany. Jessica completely solved my travel plan angst. She was absolutely amazing. I have never encountered any individual as well versed in the myriad and difficult travel wish list I had given her to come up with a cohesive plan, linking our air flights, train reservations, hotel reservations, and tour options. I provided Jessica with this whole messy ball of yarn, and she gave me a beautifully completed tapestry. She even booked the airline seats my husband and I requested, due to health considerations. We depart in two days, and Jessica is on vacation, yet she has called me to ask if there is anything more we need, and to provide me with emergency numbers while in Europe. I have never been so privileged to have received such excellent customer service from any corporation in the past.

This is the worst company to ever deal with-Triple AAA stole monies from me when purchasing Disney tickets they swiped my Visa and I realized I had cash and they were to have credited and or voided my transaction and they were now paid twice-Ed Fandal who is the President of the Southeast field operations is a complete jerk and a very rude man. The cashier at the Delray Beach location lied and stole my cash and never put through the credit she even signed the receipt that I did not sign. The company refuses to do anything about it and after phone calls certified letters faxes etc.. no one will admit wrong doing. The branch is out of Delray Beach and I will take them to small claims if I have to. This is theft.
