I went to ABC Warehouse, in Southfield, MI on Southfield Road and Ten Mile Road, on this past Saturday November 19, 2011, I walked in ready to purchase 3 appliances. However I was never approached by anyone to help me. There were several sales people in the store three were about three that was doing absolutely nothing, except watching a football game. After waiting for 15 minutes I decided to go to the counter to see if perhaps I good get help there. No such luck, a young man walked from the back looked at me and kept walking. There was a huge black woman standing there she also looked at me and did or said anything. So of course I walked out and went to another store. How do they stay in business? This type of treatment is absolutely ridiculous. I WILL NEVER EVER RETURN THERE AGAIN.
I would give No Stars, But that is not an option!!!! 1988, I went in to the ABC Warehouse store on Miller Rd, Flint, MI. I was ready to purchase a washer and dryer set, had cash in my wallet. 20 minutes in the store, the 4 salesmen conversing at the counter never approached me. I went to the counter, said "Excuse me, could someone help me, please. I am looking to buy a washer and dryer." They all looked at me, one young man walked around the counter, headed toward the washer and dryers, walked up to a very cheap set, put his hand on the washer and said, "This looks to be what you can afford!" I said, "Excuse me?" He repeated what he said and smiled. I said, "Who do you think you are to tel me what I can or cannot afford! I would like to speak to your manager!" He pointed to one of the men standing at the counter, they had all been watching and listening. As I walked towards the counter the manager turned and walked in to the back room and would not come out to talk to me. I told them that I would never purchase anything from ABC and would dissuade everyone I could to avoid the place. I left and made my puchase at another store. 2002, an Estate gas dryer was purchased for me at ABC Warehouse, paid cash, loaded in pick up truck and brought home to me. I was not happy that they purchased at ABC. Within the year, I was hounded for over 3 months by telephone calls to purchase extended warranty. I refused each time they called and they called daily most of the time. I asked to have my phone number removed from their list and told them not to call any more or I would file harassment charges. The phone calls stopped----for awhile! Then I started getting phone calls again. I politely told them that I had not purchased anything for ABC Warehouse, would never again purchase anything from ABC Warehouse and asked them to remove my phone number from their list. They girl got rather snotty with me and started listing off all sorts of appliances that she had listed that I had purchased, stove, refridgerator, microwave, blender, toaster and toaster oven. I again informed her that I did not own anything that had been purchased at ABC Warehouse. She told me that these had been listed under my phone nyumber. I told her to remove my number and that I did not expect to hear from them again. Again I told her I would file harassment charges if I received another phone call from them. The calls stopped again. Well, my youngest son purchased a 56in flat screen Mitsubishi TV on black Friday in 2007. My son gave my home phone number on the receipt. He moved into his own home about 6 months later. Guess what, the calls started again that summer. I told them I was not interested in their extended warranty. She continued to call! When I told Crystal that he did not live here and that he was not interested in purchasing an extended warranty, she got very nasty with me about how terrible I was making those decisions for my son and how could I be so inconsiderate, etc, etc. I told her to stop right there and I wanted to speak to her supervisor. I was told that would not be possible. I hung up on her after telling her to never call again. I place a call to the extended warranty number and told them to remove my number and to never call again. The calls stopped again until last month!!!! This time the messages left were from Pam, who said it was imperative she speak to me about my Estate dryer and left a phone number. These calls came in daily, all different hours of the day and night, every day but Sunday for 4 weeks. I never answered because I no longer own the Estate dryer. Yesterday, October 3, 2011, I received a letter in the mail from ABC Warehouse about 'Renewing your warranty is as easy as ABC' ' Per our recent phone conversation, we are sending you the necessary informatio to renew your warranty.' Give me frickin break!!!!! I have an appt with my attorney at 9am tomorrow morning and am pressing harassment charges!!!! I ADVISE EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY FROM ABC WAREHOUSE!!!!! I DO NOT KNOW HOW THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS!!!!!!
According to MSRP HP touch pads went down to $100.00 and I was there upon them opening and they said go get it somewhere else, we are not selling them for that price and rang me up for 399.99 sandy and Rod both managers for the southgate Michigan location on eureka road were rude and not helpful they must have wanted the two they had in stock for themselves and the also had 20 at the warehouse . They should send them back to HP ... I am notifying them
We purchased a Whirlpool double oven range from ABC Warehouse and it was delivered on time. However after 10 days I was alarmed at the house being full of gas so after calling Cons. Power we were told to get out of the house and turn off everything. The house was red tagged and after consulting with the store they said they would not give me a new one but I had to have a repair on a hardly used range. The service dept. came out and said the part was in Texas and couldn't be here in Mi. for 5 days. After much persuasion the manager Mr. Adriano at the Brighton Store said he would get me a new range from Kalamazoo, Mi.in 2 days. That was a bare face lie because He wasn't even there when I called him in two days which he instructed me to do. He went to a funeral. You don't go to a funeral on a days notice. One good note about this transaction is Mr. David Kendall who was a polite, courteous, honest salesman and did all he could to help us out. Run from liars like Mr. Adriano in Brighton and think twice about shopping at ABC.
Hey, that's the geratset! So with ll this brain power AWHFY?
ItÂ’s really great that pepole are sharing this information.
IT'S INTERESTING HOW ABC WAREHOUSE SCAMS YOU INTO PURCHASING AN "IN HOME WARRANTY" KNOWING FULL WELL THE A/C UNIT THEY ARE SELLING YOU HAS A "RETURN TO VENDOR POLICY" ON THAT PARTICULAR MODEL. SO I HAVE AN A/C UNIT THAT DOESN'T WORK AND PAID FOR THE IN HOME WARRANTY THAT DOESN'T EXIST. NEVER AGAIN AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW TO NEVER, EVER PURCHASE FROM ABC WAREHOUSE.
I bought a digital camera from ABC Warehouse, and was told if I bought the extended warranty that if anything went wrong with the camera, they would send it out to be fixed. If it couoldn't be fixed they would replace the unit. I took the camera in to get it looked at, because it was no working properly. They sent the unit out to be looked at. It came back a week later with; still under manufactures warranty, send to manufacturer. NOW I got to pay for the cost of shipping it. I just had a week wasted for me. And they are not holding to thier word about what was promised if I bought the coverage. This is no way to run a business, lying to the consumer, but I guess ABC has gone the way of evert else non trusting corporation in this country. I was waiting for them to get in the newer Fuji, but I will now go to another store. Buyer beware.
We went to the Ann Arbor, Mi ABC store on Eisenhower on Sunday April 3, 2011 around 12:00 to purchase a TV. We found the TV to purchase with SALE Price of 419.00. We told the sales Assc. that we will purchase this TV, Sale price 419.00. He said he needed to go and check if he had any of these....HMMM... He came back and swiftly snatched the 419.00 Sale price tag off and said...this sale went off yesterday and underneath was a 499.00 sticker. The sales person said he could sell it at this 499.00 price....I then said the price that was offered and we agreed to buy the TV ...for was 419.00, the Sale price sticker that we all saw, and this is what we had agreed. I believe this is bait and switch. This practice is just wrong, dishonest and deceitful. We left the store, they would have made a sale....they still would have made money.Point being...it is Principle of Matter. I do not want to deal with dishonest business practice...therefore We will Never purchase another anything with ABC. WE went to another store, found a nice TV, were treated well.
I had a good experience at ABC Warehouse in Canton Mi. Normally I dont like to go there because the sales people are kinda pushy, but I had been shopping for a long time for a good fridge. I had my eye on a LG for a while but the price was too much. I found the one I wanted on line at buyers edge, so i called Best Buy to see if they would price match, because that is what they claim they do. But they were not willing to do so because it was an online store. So I called ABC and talked to a salesman named Dennis, He was willing to not just meet but beat their price. When me and my husband went to the store that day to see the fridge and pay for it, dennis was very helpful and very nice. Best experience I have had in an appliance store. Also they could deliver it the next day! The delivery guys were very experienced and took great care in brining in my fridge and were very nice and very professional. Not to mention their delivery charge was much less than other places. Now i wont hesitate to go to ABC anymore, Dennis made this purchase possible for us, and made us fans of ABC once again.
ABC Warehouse – Purchase – Dennis Cook 3-22-11 I entered the store located at 5501 W. Saginaw, Lansing, Michigan at approximately 2PM. I walked to the desk to wait for the next person to help me. I did not want to speak to Dennis Cook; I wanted to see a manager. Dennis strolled over to the desk and asked me what was wrong now. I politely asked to speak to a manager. He boldly took off his badge and danced it in front of me showing me he was the general manager. I informed him I did not want to talk to him was there another manager. He then became rude and loud and informed me that if I didn’t talk to him no one would help me. As I began to state that I was not happy with the purchase of the TV’s, before I could even say they were defective screens, he began raising his voice, telling me that he didn’t think I knew what I wanted…continues to tell me how the “guys” told him when I purchased “good luck with that one”….went on to raise his voice and said “I know you have a sugar daddy”, at this point it became very heated from my side. He loudly ordered me out of his store. Several times. I asked for corporate’s number to which he said “look it up”. I repeated 3 times loudly, can I have the number of corporate “please”. As he finally gave me a brochure he followed now get out of my store, you walked in here with a “hard on” and I don’t like the way you are talking to me. I cannot even express my feelings. “I have a sugar daddy”, why would he shout something like that which has nothing to do with the issue…NOR DID I EVER TELL HIM ANYTHING REMOTELY LIKE THAT STATEMENT!!!!! Since my initial visit to the store where I dealt with him, he has been rude, not helpful in any way and now you can add chauvinistic. To make things worse the second location in Lansing was equally as bad and did nothing to assist me. I never received an accurate receipt; he sold me 2 TV’s that were horribly defective, and then informs me that he will not service me. I have to pinch myself to believe that a store in the business of selling goods who normally want to keep a customer actually said these things. So far corporate does not deal with the manager’s behavior, they just let it go. How quaint. The service and sales at ABC in this area have always been shady at best, but this takes the cake. It gets worse. Stay away from ABC Warehouse anywhere but especially in Lansing Michigan.
Awful customer service! I brought an item roughly three ago, never open the box still have the receipt, and i was told that i couldn't get my cash back!!!! I dont understand!!! This place is a rip off, think twice before you buy!!
I was told that the store could take my check, but I couldn't take the television home with me until the check cleared. I have never heard of such thing before in my life. The salesman never made an attempt too even get an approval for my check. I shop at ABC warehouse all the time, as well as writing checks and never have I been told that Crap that I was told yesterday. I will never shop or tell anyone too go to your store!!!!!
Ordered a Samsung 58" 3D Plasma TV from ABC in Grand Rapids. It was delivered with a shattered screen, so I had the delivery guys load it right back on their truck & called the salesman. They had another in store, but no way to get it delivered, so we pulled the hard tonneau from my truck, got a sitter for the kids & drove there. THEN they say I can't have that TV, but would have to wait until next week for one. They offered a few items from the "dollar store section" as compensation. If the TV that's supposed to be delivered next week arrives damaged, and ABC doesn't offer an acceptable solution, I will downgrade this review even more. At this point I would, if asked, recommend someone shop anyplace BUT ABC Warehouse.
Corporate has a check policy that stinks. I have heard of 10 days for a check to clear but 21 is ridiculous. Recently I purchased 5 sets of the Dorsey crank flashlight as Christmas gifts. They were in a pack of two. One blue and one pink... GUESS what all five pinks did not work... EMBARASSING>>>> Took them back to the store and the sales people and management hands are tied because of corporate policy...... TAKE care of your people corporate- - IN return they will take care of the customer and you may keep a few more customers. My check had already been through my checkbook and cleared...... THEY still couldn't help me...Maybe if you look at corporate policy you will have more business....
I will never ever purchase from ABC warehouse agian. Purshased two netbooks, and was ordered to be shiped from the pontiac store. Money given on good faith that they would be deliverd. To my surprise no one knew a thing about it. I have a reciept, with the invoiice number, but still no product. when i talked to store manager he stated he had no idea where they are, and that they were probably sold. Probably????? Why didnt any one call?If you order something should'nt you recieve it? The Manger Jeff at the Mt. Pleasant store wouldnt even offer something comparable or at the same price to cover my 2 week frustration dealing with them, being lied to,stating it was in route..... not once, but twice and basically being blown off
My advice is...be an educated shopper. The day prior to a sale, I went to ABC Warehouse to see an item that was to have a $200 instant rebate the following day. The first red flag: no price was listed in the add. Second red flag: When I asked the price, the salesman said, "Well, today it is listed as....I don't know what it will be tomorrow." The salesman graciously gave me her number so I could call the following day to find out what the price was on the day of the sale. Not surprisingly, the price had increased $203. Due to, what I consider, shady sales practices, I for one will not be giving my business to ABC Warehouse.
Horrible. Said they sent a refund three days ago and when I said my bank account had not been credited, that I got voice mail and left a message 24 hours ago and hadn't heard back, and that I wanted to speak with someone now, the secretary at the HQ hung up! Horrid.
Last night I went to the store on reynolds rd in Toledo Ohio to have a in dash DVD installed. I supplied all of the parts required to do the install except for the mounting hardware that I purchased in store. Two hours after dropping off my 99 cadillac deville I got a call to pick it up all done. When I arrived they had to take my car back into the installation area to finish hooking it up....then I get into the car open the center console and my iPods busted open. I return into the store and inform them of what I found and the guy instantly tells me his guys didn't do it. No questioning of any sorts of the installers or anyone else. I go back to the car and the radio pulled straight outta the dash like it didn't have a screw in it anywhere. So I called the police and made a report. So I get to work this morning and more damage to my center shifter area. I can't believe I paid $160 for this shoddy work. Oh and only two speakers are hooked up WTF! I am past and beyond pissed! Now I'm waiting to see if the damage will be taken care of....to be continued.
