I just found out Tyson Foods is canceling Labor Day as a paid holiday in favor of a Muslim religious day. It is interesting how we can all cater to the Muslims, but Christians are called prejudice if we want to celebrate our religion. If you want to give Muslims the day off for their holiday, you have the right to do that, however, it should not effect the Labor Day paid holiday for the remainder of you workers. I will not buy Tyson products anymore unless I hear that you have revised this policy.

I just received this information in an e-mail today, and made sure it was true before responding to this outrageous act. This is one of the many things wrong with America today. Instead of being grateful to the people of this country for making you a successful company (by buying your products); you choose to slap them in the face by honoring a holiday that people from another country want. Why not just make one of your holidays a floating holiday and let your employees take it as they see fit whether on Labor Day, Ramadan, their birthdays, or other special days for them. I understand why you are probably sponsoring these Somalis Muslims in America, and I'm willing to bet they are working for a low wage, and corp is getting a kickback from the government for hiring them. The other employees probably voted for the holiday in fear based on the number of Somalis gangs that have formed in almost every state where there is a large population of Somalis. Look up the facts, and see what I mean. They are ruthless to their own people, much less those of other cultures. They don't want to be Americans. They just want to bring their old habits and ways of doing things to our country (and our government encourages this). The more chaos that can be created, the better it is for them. I will not be buying your products anymore, and I will share this with other people as well. No wonder the quality of your products is going down, since the people you hire have no sense of pride in themselves, the job they are doing, or the country they live in. If you're going to hire them, they should understand they need to adapt to our customs, our language, and honor our holidays or they should go Home.

As a chef and purchaser of Tyson products on a regular basis, I was shocked at the decison to replace Labor Day as a holiday and put in its place "Eid-al-Fitr" the Muslim holiday. How do you skin an elephant? one piece at a time. How do you take over a America? one freedom or right at a time. I have always been taught to voice my opinion with my money, so as of now, I am no longer purchasing Tyson products. I will also be sure to let all the chefs and cooks that I know and work with how I feel and suggest that they do the same as well. America can only stay strong, when we stay together!

I used to buy your products, but now that news has come out that you are canceling Labor Day for a muslim holiday offends me to NO END, and my family and myself will NEVER purchase another Tyson item. You have turned your back on America and are bowing down to islam. You DO have Christian Americans who work for you also, but you seem to not care about American workers or their opinions. You also don't seem to care about offending us either because you're too busy worrying about what muslims think. Shame on you!!!!

YOU CAN FORGET ME BUYING TYSON. WHAT IS HAPPING TO THIS COUNTRY?? OUR FORE FATHERS WHO CAME TO THIS COUNTRY, WERE GLAD TO BE HERE,AND DID NOT MAKE COMPANIES TO CHANGE TO THERE RELIGIONS. LEAVE THE HOLIDAYS AS THEY ARE.

I AM VERY DISGUSTED,I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER PRODUCT THAT HAS A TYSON LABEL, I AM ASHAMED THAT WRIGHT PACKING SOLD THEIR BACON AND HAM CO.YO TYSON,MAYBEE THEY SHOULD TRANSFER ALL OF THE SOMALIS MUSLIMS TO VERNON TX.TO WORK WITH THE PORK PRODUCTS,NO WE DONT WANT THEM IN VERNON. YOUR EXCUSE IS NON AMERICAN. I HOPE THIS TEARS A HOLE IN YOUR SORRY POCKETBOOK. NO MORE TYSON.

I have been in the food process plants for 24 years, the last two with Tyson Foods. On employment with Tyson Foods,I was excited to be a team member and couldnt wait to get to work. Was hired on as a machine teck an worked second shift. On 7/7/2010 I was called out to my line to look for open packages while they went to lunch.I turned off the cooling water, vacumm, air supply and electrical and locked and taged the line out. I opened up final seal and checked for build up of film on rails and found none.I opened up preseal two and checked for same and found none,I opened up preseal one and leaned the head back on the zip line and found a built up of plastic on outboard rail.I checked Other two rails was clean and no loose screws to be found. While removing the film from the rail I had to cut the film so that I could get to the melted film on the rail and when I reached around to my right to get the knife the preseal one head fell on my left wrist causing a crush injury. The company nurse took me to ER and was told that I had chiped a bone in my wrist and that I had an old injury in my wrist. The next day I was taken by the company nurse to see another doctor at the clinic who put my wrist in a removable ace bandage and arm brace. After weeks of this I was still not getting any better and the pain wasnt going away so the company nurse took me to see another Doctor who gave me a shot in the wrist rewraped and was told that it was going to take time. After several weeks I was taken back to the doctor and was given another shot in the wrist which wasnt very plesent and was then sent to therapy for four weeks. At the end of that I was taken back to the doctor who now says that I need to have surgery on my wrist. He told me that he could give me some pills that would eat the lining of my stomach and be bad on my kiddneys and liver and kill a few bloodcells along the way are go in an fuse the wrist and be done with it.Now I have never had a problem with my wrist hurting while working for Tysons until the injury. Now that I need surgery I was layed off work on 1/10/2011 because Tysons says that I need the surgery because of an old injury not because of the new injury and that it is no longer medical it is now personal so I was layed off with out pay. I was told from HR that I had to find a doctor to release me back to work without restrictions before I could come back.So now I have an Attorney an who knows how much that is going to cost Tyson when all they had to do was take care of their on so called TEAMMATES,I would be going back to work but after reading about the changing of Labor Day,I guess things do happen for a reason. I am also a Viet Nam Vet

I DONT KNOW WHAT THE STARS MEAN. DONT CARE EITHER. I WILL NEVER, EVER BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT BY TYSON OR ANY OF THIER AFFILATES. I AM CONTATING EVERYONE ON MY EMAIL LIST WITH THIS MESSAGE.

To all the traitors at tyson foods, you are an embarrassment to America. How dare you replace an American national holiday with a muslim one simply because half of your workforce happens to be muslim. But i imagine you couldn't care less, since the other half of your workers are more than likely illegal aliens from mexico anyway.I can't wait to see what other demands either side of your workforce is going to make. I am sure that whatever the demands are, you'll cave in to them, since you don't seem to have a problem of selling out your country.Hopefully though, you will have a big problem with American shoppers. Have you ever given ahy thought of relocating your company to a foreign country? If not, please think about it.

Since you no longer honor Labor Day but will instead give your employees a day off for a muslim holiday --- my family and those of my children will no longer purchase any product with your name on it.

Tyson Food in Shelbyville , Tennessee has eliminated Labor Day as a paid holiday in favor of the last day of Ramadan because they have 700 Muslim employees. Labor day has NOTHING to do with religion.. Because of your blatant disregard for the separation of Church and State I will no longer purchase your products.. I will recommend to all my friends, relatives and associates to discontinue supporting the Tyson Brand.. Effective immediately..

I will no longer buy your products and have to say I am very disappointed in your company as a whole. My Grandfather, My father, My Brother In Law, My son have chosen to stand on the wall to defend the freedoms and rights of this Country. I am ashamed that you have chosen to turn your back on America and forget all of the individuals who have fought in the past and continue to fight now. This is indeed a sad day for Tyson Foods. I hope that word about your decision spreads like wildfire and that your decision weighs heavy on your hearts and souls. I will be in prayer for that. Good bye Tyson!!!!!!!

I just read a little more about how Muslim women are treated by their husbands and it is appalling how we in America sit here and let Muslim people try to take over our country. In 20 years there will be enough Muslims in the US to elect a muslim president. Do we want this? It is companies like yours that are giving these people jobs. Shame on you!!!!!!

What was your (Tyson) management thinking? You morons just gave your competition market share for nothing. They (your competition) must be laughing their way to the bank!!! I'm sure your Board of Directors will be having a "Come to Jesus" meeting with your plant manager for even allowing a vote for this "Holiday" preference. To balance things out for religous reasons, you could have allowed your Muslim employees to take an unpaid day off just like you do for your Catholic employees who take off Good Friday? What a bunch of schmucks!!!! Good luck gettinmg me back as a customer!!!

I am a christ follower, and also a Tyson grower in North Carolina. I truly understand the anger the change has made by changing the holiday pay. But really have you prayed about it or just mouthed off. I'm not responsible for they action only mine. So please pray about without anger. There is not a single person on this earth can change or change the state of affair, but on our knees, my knees, your knees change can come and will come . As human, we just complain, get other upset and forget our conviction. What's your conviction? pray or complain

I will no longer buy Tyson foods, period. That's how I feel about your decision to remove Labor Day, a long celebrated American holiday, for a non-American holiday. Shame on Tyson, I'll become loyal to an American brand.

I want to inform you of my extreme disappointment that you would even consider removing labor day and adding a Muslim holiday. I am even more upset that you would have that many Somali employees in a time when we have so many American citizens unemployed. Tyson is off of my grocery list.
