I'm typing a complaint regarding the set of tires I bought from Clayton Norris. I complained to Clayton that the tires weren't good riding tires, and I felt like he was blowing me off so I complained to my boyfriend, and he asked me when, and where did I buy the tires??? then I began to tell him I bought the tires in best buy parking lot on moreland avenue from Clayton, and he asked me why best buy parking lot,and not the store?????? I replied he gave me a good deal on the tires, but o had to get them put on myself..then he began to laugh and told me that the tires might be stolen which is why he's not trying to fix the problem and I shouldn't be complaining or writing you because this may end up in a theft by receiving charge on me. I was to busy trying to get a deal, and I agree!! I am very angry and I have lost plenty of sleep!!! So I think this won't fix my problem, but fix yours due to loss prevention and his contact number is 706 -338-0514

A friend told my mom about this place and that they did good service, she has a 2003 suzuki aero, she went into have her car checked out because of some squealing noises by the time she left there they giving her work order with over it estimate of 2500.00 dollars worth of work. 1000 dollars just in labor cost which day were trying to tax. As a technician I know from working at dealerships you're not supposed to tax labor costs you're only supposed to tax parts & shop supplies. I told her not to get the work done that when I get back from vacation. I will check the vehicle out and take care of it, when I got done looking at the vehicle and taking the stuff from the invoice order. There are only 3 things majorly wrong with what needed to be done. Which were the brakes and a O2 sensor. All the other stuff were nit picking small things that did not need to be done. They gave her a cost to do the brakes for 450 dollars in parts and labor. My mother gave me the list of stuff and out of all the stuff that's on this list I spent 250 dollars in parts and 2 hours worth of work. I would never suggest anyone to go to tires plus after all they are only there how to rip you off.

On Tuesday, July 31, I made an appointment for 11:00A.M. for an air conditioner evaluation, since my AC was not blowing cold air. At 5:07P.M., I received a call indicating that my car was in need of a new compressor, since the freon was pouring out when they tried to charge it. I was quoted the price of $1133 and agreed to have them complete the work. I did not hear from them the next day, so I called at 5:00P.M. to inquire about the status of my car. The man who answered the phone indicated that he had two mechanics working on the car for the entire day, and they were unable to resolve an airflow error message. I was reassured that they would contact me when the vehicle was ready to be picked up. I called again on Thursday afternoon at 12:30 and was told the work was finished and they were just rechecking their work to make sure that everything was working correctly. An hour later, someone called to say they had driven my car over to the dealership so they could tell them what was wrong, since they were unable to resolve the airflow issue. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE AIRFLOW WHEN I TOOK THE CAR TO THEM. He assured me that a part was being delivered within the hour and he was sure the car would be ready before closing on Thursday. It is now Thursday at 6:00P.M. I have not heard from them, so I am assuming the car is not fixed. There are three critical issues that need to be addressed: 1. They are unequipped to fix my car and they did not tell me before they took the car apart. 2. They drove my car to a dealership without seeking my prior permission. 3. It has been 3 full days and they still have my car. I contacted the dealership and was informed that it takes approximately three hours to replace a compressor. I would advise someone in management to check into this situation and resolve this issue. I want my car back!!!

I took my classic 1964 Thunderbird to Tires plus in Lexington, MN to have a simple oil change. I waited for the car so I saw it go up and come down on the hoist. After a period of time the kid that did the work came out and whispered something in the guy at the desk ear. Then they both went back and after a few minutes the desk attendant came over and said we have somwthing to show you. When I walked back prestone was shooting all over my new paint job. I looked down and one fan blade was bent at a 90 degree angle and stuck in the radiator. I drove the car in but had to call a wrecker to haul it to the body shop. It was a classic so the radiator was copper which isn't available and also it had a seven blade fan fore A/C which isn't available at parts stores. After searching the internet and making many phone calls I did find some used parts which took three weeks. Tires Plus takes no blame in what happened. Everyone who saw the fan and radiator they must have dropped something to stop and bent just one steel blade. The shroud or support wire which runs across the radiator were fine. Tires Plus has lost a long time customer and some comments I have heard from other people since this happened they don't care. This cost me many hundreds of dollars.

Steven Morella the Store Manager at 1627 County Road 220, Orange Park, Florida 32203 Phone number (904)278-1795 Is by far a stand up top notch service manager. and Ray his technician is worth driving 100 miles to get your car worked on by him! I have worked on cars myself for 35 plus years and my back cannot handle it. I noticed the right front brake was making a growling sound when I applied the brakes so, knowing I knew they needed to be fixed I looked them up on the internet and got their number and called and after my dentist appointment I went by, the Tech " Ray" took the wheels off and checked the brakes and wrote down the discrepencies he found. The Manager Steven went over the list and personally checked the areas as well. Then Steve called me over to get a good look. I have 160,000 miles on my Saturn SL1 and the brakes needed work I could tell, I inspected them as well and went even further in changing both front calipers and rotors, both rear slave cylinders and new pads and shoes. "Ray" was very meticulous and efficient the way he worked around the car. I watched the whole thing. even I was impressed and I worked on cars a very long time. I told Steve that Ray is the "Best Tech I have seen in a long time" Steve wants a good reputation with all his customers and they come from other stores to see him and get their vehicles serviced and maintained there. Well, while "everyone else is getting an AWE-Sh&*%, Steve and Ray are MY Heros! Sure it was expensive, but car payments are worse! "IT IS CHEEPER TO KEEP THEM" and Steve agreed on many levels. So, There you go! Not everyone is out to rip-you-off. Thanks for being the best Tires Plus in Florida and perhaps in the U.S.A.

Tires Plus has proven to me once again that their mechanics and service managers are in one business and that business is to rip people off. I took my 2005 Nissan Murano to Tires Plus for a brake job that went well and everything works as advertised. While there the service manager (Matt) approaches me and states that his mechanic found something wrong and wanted to show me the problem. The mechanic identified the front engine mount as to being bad. Looking at the mount I couldn't see what the mechanic said was wrong. So, to trust and verify, I asked for and got a written estimate to remove and replace the defective engine mount ($454.62). I left with the vehicle and the next day I took the vehicle to the Nissan dealer and asked them to look at all of the engine mounts and engine mount brackets. In less than 15 minutes I was in my SUV and on the way home. Nissan, knowing that if they found anything wrong that they were going to get more business, inspected the subject components and COULD NOT find any defective engine mounts or engine mount brackets. This lead me to one conclusion, Tire Plus wanted take me for $454.62. I will never go to another Tire Plus, to shady of an Organization. One organization that I can and will recommend people to stay away from!

went to get a battery at tires plus tampa road oldsmar. got a call from dale store manager he said it would be 189.00, I told him let me call walmart and find one for 109.00 so I call him back and told him and he got mouth on phone. the funny thing is that I used to deal auto-part to them. so when I go up to pick up car the hood of car was all smash up from there hand palms. now they wont fix it. and they want to fight me. been trying to contract them and no one is responding. tire plus is poor service.

Went to tirplus on washington road where joel is the manger and i will always go there again they were very helpfull and iam pleased with the mechinic where did my car my soninlaw works there and he the one who refred me. So very very excelent job.

Derek Barnes, is back at store #244239, 519 Fort Crook Rd , Bellevue,NE., THANK YOU LORD, my wife and I had used this store for several years until Derek let to seek other employment, we soon departed as customers after being lied to about repairs needed on our car that did not need to be done. DEREK IS BACK AT THE STORE NOW AND SO ARE WE, IF HE LEAVES WE WILL FLLOW. He is honest and knows how to treat people , if I had a shop I would want and employee just like him working for me. Whoever let him leave to years ago needs his head examined.

Went to tire plus on hwy98 north Lakeland Fl. to purchase 4 tires ,and get an oil change.Without performing any special test ,I was told from observation that I needed a front end alighnment for $79.It was also brought to my attention that I had a lot of oil leakage underneath and suggested I spend $149.to detect the leak.Needless to say ,I didn't fall for any of that but when I got home I was going over everything with my granddaughter so she could keep check on her oil and found that the oil had been overfilled. This will cause a car to force out the extra oil when it is overfilled and cause gaskets to start leaking.SOUNDS LIKE A WELL ORCHESTRATED PLAN TO ME ,HOW ABOUT YOU?They screw it up and get to charge you to fix it.I went back to the store and brought the problem to their attention and the service manager tried to pass it off on what the computer told them to put in.COMMON PROCEDURE: DRAIN OIL AND REPLACE FILTER--PUT IN PRESCRIBED AMOUNT OF OIL--CRANK ENGINE AND LET RUN AT IDLE FOR A SHORT MOMENT--TURN ENGINE OFF AND RECHECK OIL --YOU ALWAYS RECHECK OIL AFTER IT HAS FILLED THE FILTER FROM BEING CRANKED. If that had been done they would have seen THE OVERFILLING.I did not get any apology--ONLY ATTITUDE for having to fix it.

This is for the account belonging to Helen and the car she has brought to Tires Plus religiously for years. Thanks for repaying her loyalty with a goodbye present that will make it even more difficult to afford to pay her growing health care bills. Mysteriously the odometer stopped working when the car was returned to her after having tires installed, had I known sooner I would have taken it back and demanded it be repaired back then. My mother has cancer and she needs to sell the car because her treatments make it impossible to drive and she can use the money for treatments. As to her wishes I took it back and of course they couldn't find out what was wrong. I took it to a competent repair shop that has people that like to find out what the problem is and fix it the first time. My mother wanted to put the repairs on her Tires Plus card, instead she has to come up with cash, because the people that know what they are doing found the problem and are working to fix it. My mother had the available credit on her card and it wouldn't have taken money out of her pocket to fix it, but as always your people at the NW 13 St store in Gainesville Florida, don't really care to be careful when doing something simple so if they screw up something else that is more complicated they haven't a clue on how to fix their mistakes, so they don’t care. Thank the boys at the NW 13th Street store in Gainesville Florida for making buying two tired so expensive my mother has to pay four times as much for those two tires!!!

My Tires Plus is located in Brandon Fl on Hwy 60. I’ve had good and bad service from there. Back last June I had bought 4 new tires for my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 and also purchased the Road Hazard protection for around $55. Yesterday my wife and I dropped off the truck for a scheduled oil change and walked over to some nearby stores. About 40 mins later I get a call saying that one of my tires has a nail and that it can’t be patched because of where it is located (just to the outside of the tread .. back side of the tire). Tires Plus wants me to buy a new tire. I say that I have Road Hazard protection and that should cover it. I’m then told that I didn’t purchase the Road Hazard I only have manufactories warranty and that doesn’t cover it. I say I'm on my way back, thinking it's just a error and they'll be able to find it. Back in the shop I’m just flat out told that I don’t have the Road Hazard and if I did it would be in their system (not that they were doing a lot of checking). I said I do and I have the receipt at home. Sorry she says .. if you had it I would be able to pull it up. I asked if it came down to it and I needed a new tire what’s my cost and was told $179. I asked why the tire couldn’t be patched and was told that the patch wouldn’t “bend that way”. It didn’t look like it was at an odd angle or anything but ok .. I’m not a tire guy. We leave with nail in tire. Back home we find our receipt for …. Yep, the Road Hazard protection. I called the shop and was ready to give the Invoice number ( was kind of hoping for somewhat of an apology) and was told that I had to bring in the original … apparently she had no interest in taking the info by phone to at least check. So today I headed back with Receipt in hand … wonder what the customer service will be like today?

I took a van I had just bought to tires plus in jacksonville, at atlantic and hodges. they had a large banner up saying they would look at the front end of the a car, etc. for free. so, I explain to the man I want them to inspect the front of the van, and if it looks ok, then I wanted 2 new tires and the front end aliagined. I wanted all afternoon as cars after me came and went. at last they said it was done. then I was told the boot on the cv was ripped. I asked the price to fix it, I was blown off. I was never told how bad it was, or that it could ruin the van's front end or even cause an accident. then I find out, they never inspected it. so, now I have several hundred dollars I have to pay out. If I would have been told the truth, I could have sold the van and come out ok. now I am upside down of it and I have no transportation. I can't drive it now because it lost it's grease. I believe they ripped the boot, frankly. I was treated like a second class customer because I had a old van, and because I believe I was not spending alot of money, only 325. and because I am an older woman. so, this has left me without a way to work, or the store. they will repair the cv for me, at a reduced rate, but that money will then cost me my power. I am on a limited income and had to buy that used van as I had lost my job in oct., and hence lost my car. now I have nothing. so, here I am, on a limited income, and handicapped, and no way to work. if they would only have done their job, on craigslist the van would have gone, and I could have gotten something else. now, it's got ins., tagged, new tires, etc etc. and I can't fix it for a good month. and what really makes me mad, the front end was not clicking, but within 6 miles of leaving there it lost the grease and began. and they didn't care. they sent me down the road, knowing full well what could have happened to me. what kind of people work in these stores? we trust them to do what's right, and they do this to us. I could be your mother, or sister, or wife, and look what's happened.

Tires Plus Indian harbor beach should be shut down and re-staffed. This is without a doubt a crooked shop. There is little effort to address the needs of the customer, only the need of the manager to make a profit. The manager is young and inexperienced and fails to grasp basic customer- business relationship. He looks like a meth addict, running around hyper at 7:30 am. Do they drug test? I saw him smoke 3 cigarettes pacing the shop looking confused. It must have been days since he shaved too. He rambled off prices for things I didn't ask for and his explainations were far from sincere. I watched as an old guy that I thought was the manager, who turned out to be a shop manager spread it on thick to other customers. I know something about cars and I saw right through his BS, but the woman he was talking to was frightened by his tall tales of what she needed. he told her, just as I had been told that 'it is reccomended that the fluids be flushed at 15,000 miles'. he never said who "it" refered to, and his tale of restoring fuel economy with a $100 magic elixer was worthy of a snake oil salesman. Does the Tires Plus company ever monitor what goes on at their stores or do they just make sure money is being deposited into their account. These guys are con artists that tipify the industry. They did not give me a written estimate, they just told me what I needed and that they would beat any other price I got. I had some work done there, but watched the technician do the work since the men at the front counter made me distrust the shop. The work was done well and the technician seemed to know what he was doing. maybe he could teach the manager a few things. I much prefer the Tires Plus in Suntree and feel I can trust them more than Indian Harbor Beach where I live.

Tire Plus is a scam they take advantage of there customers. I took my car in for tires I bought on Tire Rack, and on the list of providers it had Tires Plus for install of them. So I took them there. And they charge me over $100.00 to install them and then said my Sway bars were shot and Tie Rods in the front were bad. I paid to get Sway Bars replaced and walked out spending $800.00. And they said if I come back to have them do Tie Rods to replace the front it would be $750.00 to do this. I said I will wait. I went in a week later because I did notice a noise before all this and I knew something was wrong so I brought it in and said can you give me a estimate to see what was causing that. They came back and said the Tie Rods in the front were fine the ones in the back are bad. I said I was in a week before and they said the front was bad they said no just the back. I walked out and said what the heck. I wanted to see if they just didnt know what they were talking about i went back in after work and brought in both estimates and asked to talk to manager and he said I will have my master mechanic look at it. He came back and said Swing Arms are bad in back and to replace Tie Rods in back. I said if I do that will that solve the noise I am hearing he said yes that will fix that. So I paid $770.00 to get that done. I drove away and the same noise I heard in the first place was still there. So then I went to Tire plus over by Farm and Fleet in waukesha and they called me up and said my Struts and Springs in the front are bad and that is what the noise is coming from. I said how much is this going to be and he said $1200.00.I needed my car and I need my car to be working good and proper so I fell for there scam and paid it and then they said after wards that my rear springs and struts should be replace. And said it would be another $800.00 which I said no way. Then they said my sway bars were shot in front which I had the tires plus in Waukesha replace with new a couple weeks before. They said they put in low quailty ones and they are shot already. I said I paid $800.00 the first time to have this done and for that price I didnt expect to have junk installed on my car. They said they would replace them with there top of the line ones for no charge for this. Which this shouldnt of been the problem the first time. I pick up my car after spending all this money and I still hear the noises and I know Waukesha Roads are horrible but come on I am on flat roads and I shouldnt hear all these noises. I have read other reviews from other locations and this location and Tire Plus has all negative reviews most of the time and how does Tires Plus get away with it. How can they came there customers and take advantage of them. And why give estimates for things that are not wrong. I am afraid now that what they all said they replaced they really didnt replace. Because I STILL HAVE THE SAME NOISES AND DOESNT DRIVE ANY BETTER. IF I WAS ANY CUSTOMER DONT COME TO TIRE PLUS YOU WILL BE SCAMMED BY THEM. Trust me I know I was taking to the ringer with there scams.

To Whom It May Concern: Went to my Tires Plus store in Deland, Fl 32724 early this morning to have tires put on my pick/up truck. I dealt with the store manager, Scott Buckingham. What a great guy to deal with. He was fast, efficient and friendly. I left my truck cause they also found the brakes were ready to be replaced, so I walked home, but was offered a ride home by the manager, which was also very nice. When I went back to pick up the truck, someone was filling in for the manager who had to make a run to the bank. This man was friendly, but seemed confused as to what was going on and kept me waiting for quite some time before getting me out the door. On the way to my truck, I heard my name being called and it was the store manager who had just returned and he came out to thank me for the business and gave me a hand shake. He was not only great to deal with, but also a very honest person, which is hard to find today. Thanks for hiring such wonderful people at your stores. Scott left a real impression on me and I will definitely go back when I need service. LaVerne David Brown 425 King Charles Circle Deland, Fl 32724 386-738-9383

Went to Tires Plus on Sardis Church Rd. for an Oil Change with one of their Coupons. What a mistake!!! Service Writer - Miguel Lozano told me they had to add an additional 1/2 quart of oil (Total 5-1/2 quarts) in my 2000 3.9L 6-cyl Dodge Dakota because that is what it calls for. I told him that in 12 yrs. of owning the truck, that is the 1st time anyone had told me that. I had only driven 1 mile and heard something under the hood. "THE OIL CAP WAS BROKEN INTO 2 PIECES and rattling" so I stopped in an O'Reilly Parts store & bought a new one. They checked their computer and told me my truck should only get (4) Quarts of new oil with filter. Oil Level was too high on the dip stick. Called Miguel and he said their computer says it takes 5.5 qts of oil. WHAT ABOUT TOO MUCH OIL RUINING MY ENTIRE ENGINE AS THE OWNERS MANUAL SAYS. No resolution from the store and receipt shows 80,000 miles more than it actually has. VERY POOR SERVICE! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

My husband worked for tires plus for a short time and hated it. They rushed and pushed to get these cars out. Quantity versus quality. Their offices don't get their w-2's out to their employess in a timely manner. It's February and noone had received their w-2's when I called the place. I'm really mad. I have had my w-2 and my taxes completed and waiting for a few weeks!

Went to tires plus on fowler ave for a brake problem on the front left side of car. tires plus said they would do a abs diagnostic test and would call regarding what the prolbem is. so i left and they called telling me that the back brake system on booth sides of the car needed to be replaced. which did not make since, the prolem i told them was in the front. well they talked me in to getting the back brakes changed telling me that it should fix the prolbem. about 45 minutes later they call me and tell me that they are going to do some other diagnostic test to be sure of what the problem is. they call me back and tell me they found a problem with the left front wheel bearing. They said that that would fix the problem and that it was my choice to have the back done at the same time. i chose to just have the front work done. they call me back three and ahalf hours later telling me it did not fix the problem. the part they put in may have been defective and they wanted to keep the car till the next day to get a new part. well i told them i was coming to pick up my car and take it some where else, i felt like they were giving me the run a round i pickedmy car up at no charge they said sorry and that they had maid a mistake in diagnosis of the problem. i took my car to another shop where they told me what was wrong and that i had a holr in my cv joint boot and grease was all over and that i looked like someone tried to put caulking to fix the problem. i didnt have this problem before i went to tires plus. well i went back to tires plus and vanessa said she looked at the car before it left the shop and the problem was not there when it left. so now i have to fight with them to a problem they caused and not the one i went in there for.
